"Fun, lively and offering something fresh and exciting to the Reykjavik dining scene, OTO is one of the hottest tickets in town thanks to its bustling atmosphere and Italian-Japanese fusion cuisine. The uncommon pairing works a treat, with their shared ingredient-led approach resulting in dishes that showcase clever cross-cuisine combinations and deliver pure, natural flavours – like a take on scallops Florentine enhanced by the piquancy of ponzu and the warming spice of shichimi. If you can’t decide, go for their version of a kaiseki menu." - Michelin Inspector

This was honestly the worst meal (both in terms of food and value for money) I had in my 2 weeks in Iceland. I had high expectations for it since it was in the Michelin guide but everything was incredibly salty I couldn’t taste much else. Portions are small and the fusion Japanese Italian food didn’t really work for me – it was neither here nor there. Although I found that certain restaurants in Iceland may be on the salty side, OTO was definitely the worst offender. The lemon dessert was also rather meh - I didn’t even bother finishing it despite being a sweets lover. There are so much other better places to eat than here.

Phenomenal experience. Food was excellent, must visit! Our waitress was very helpful since we were vegetarians, had the best time! Highly recommend. We had the milk bread, tofu spread, bikini, gyoza, crudo and the cheese ravioli(forgot its name). All very tasty!

Untrained service staff, good food but tiny tiny portions! So we ordered the Chef choice 3 course set menu (approximately 100.usd per person) including starter that was really good but when the tiny tiny BBQ Pork Belly with a tiny bowl of rice that we were supposed to share, we were amazed at the inexpensive ingredients that to be fair tasted amazing but was soo small, but really good taste experience. Then came the kicker, after we laughed at the shared tiny rice bowl we where joking that we would have to share the desert.... yep it was 1.pcs slice of cake with 2 spoons... Service was medium with untrained staff that delivered a rose wine, poured 2 glasses then put the screw cap back on the bottle, left it at the table and never came back, guess it is self service after that, don't get me wrong I do not mind poring my self but this is supposed to be a high en Restaurant, it is not! So why do I still give them 4 stars for the food, well the food was really good! Just would have liked to get a full main course and not share the desert. We went for popcorn after this to fill out stomach;) Overall experience 3 stars!

Went here on a Thursday night in March, not very crowded. Staff were friendly and gracious. The food was amazing, it's three days later and it's still the best meal we've had in Reykjavik. The trout spread with roe and milk bread is something that we'll be talking about for a long time. Our drinks were unique and amazing; an amalfi lemon martini and a neurons. Wow! Fast forward to Saturday night. Google said that they closed at 1145pm, and we were getting back from a northern lights tour. We arrived at 1110 asking for a cocktail bc our hotel was across the street, a 20-second walk away from our room. We were rebuffed and refused service despite the fact there were 20+ people inside OTO. Our hostess and waitress from Thursday night were there and recognized us, greeted us with smiles and happiness, yet the management said no. They said that they were closed. The bartender was mixing drinks for other patrons. We walked past several places to get to OTO only to be told GTFO. We'll remember this slight for a long time, too.

Nice set up with pretentious food, which is still not at the point. We tried almost everything in the menu. Bread and butter - nice, shrimp were good, tataki as well, scallop was a disaster, the rest just ok. Service was not attentive. Expectations were way higher, although there’s a big potential in this place, hope they will improve the menu and service.

Me and my boyfriend had a great experience. Our favourite was the milk bread with tofu dip and the pumpkin ravioli. The cocktails were delicious and we went at 9pm and it was a really fun late evening dinner vibes, which is perfect on the weekend. Staff was amazing!

Amazing experience for food & fun festival. Absolutely delicious from start to finish. The lamb sent me into another dimension! Excellent choices in wine pairing. Service was perfect as well. Highly, highly recommend.
