Otto

"A welcome addition to the rue Mouffetard: this bistro with a minimalist decor comprising concrete floor and ceiling is modelled on the Japanese izakaya. Under the leadership of chef Eric Trochon, Otto proposes a cuisine for sharing based on a short menu that revolves around the produce, simply accompanied by a condiment or a sauce for that extra kick. Hence chimichurri, sauce vierge or diable, ponzu sauce or lemon condiment are served alongside meat and fish, often cooked over binchotan coals. Please note that they don't take bookings." - Michelin Inspector

It was a fantastic experience. Each recipe was a delightful surprise. I kept thinking, “How can such simple ingredients come together to taste this good?”—dish after dish. (The razor clams were to die for!) I also loved the “sushi bar” concept of the restaurant, with the kitchen in the middle and everyone sitting around enjoying food fresh from the chefs. Definitely, definitely worth a visit.

Our favourite restaurant in Paris! The lamb kebab and fish no chips were our favourite plates. The open kitchen was a nice touch. It was so good that we went back for more!

The food was very delicious, simple fresh ingredients with not too many components. This makes it really tasty, loved it so much. Atmosphere is busy and nice.

Interesting place. Definitely not your usual restaurant as they prepare food in the open kitchen in front of you, but nonetheless very interesting menu and great prices for value. Would recommend if you like something little bit out of the oridinary.

The vibe is super lovely. Good background music choice, chic restaurant design, nice menu display. Staff are all very nice and helpful. The lunch menu is actually a very great deal! The beef is tender and tasty with their homemade sauce. The dessert (fraise and sesame tarte) is honestly the best, a must try! I’d recommend coming here in the lunch time to avoid waiting at dinner.

I love this restaurant! The food is delicious and the portion sizes are generous compared to many other Michelin-rated spots. Prices are also very reasonable. The razor clams and steak were our favorites. Just a heads-up: they only take walk-ins—no online reservations.

Bar and food (tapas style). Some hit some misses on the food. Very tight sitting and walking in and out is a bit difficult. Hangar steak wasn't what I expected, the meat was tough. The iberico pork was much better than the hangar steak. Since its tapas size, the bill can add up quite a bit.

Definitely get the Korean style fried cauliflower. It is so good very crispy. Lots of sauce has a nice kick to it. I also recommend the lean sashimi with the ponzu! Very fresh and tasty. I also ordered the Mezcal margarita it was good a bit more on the sour side, but I like a little sour. The food is very good here. The vibes were immaculate. And I will definitely be back. They also have a very clean bathroom. It’s hot in there, but it’s very clean.
