Ott's Pasta Carry Out

I have eaten otts oaata 10+ times in 2023-2024, but I hasn’t started eating again until August 2025 and I have gone 3 times and every time the food has been terrible. Tonight I went to get food for my girlfriend and myself, and got 2 entrees and some extra bread sticks. I ordered it on DoorDash and when I went to pick it up the guy handed the order to me, and said my name and then have a nice night. I then got home 25 minutes away to open my bag and there is only one entree, and the breadsticks are just sitting loosely in the bag in no heat sleeve and they have red sauce on them like their hands were dirty while bagging them, and the breadsticks were incredibly cold and hard. I was super pissed that they forgot one of my entrees so I went to double check my DoorDash and I saw that one of my entrees were out of stock and the order did not say that when I arrived at the store to pick it up, and the guy never even told me it was out of stock and asked if I wanted to order something else for my dinner. So now I’m 30 minutes away from the store, with no dinner for myself, cold breadsticks for my girlfriend, angry writing a review on google. I love this restaurant but will never order another meal from there again and will tell all of my friends how downhill the food and service has become. (EDIT): After posting this whole google review I then decided to try and eat the salad it comes with because my girlfriend does not like it, and when I opened the salad it was half full and was completely mixed together. I have literally eaten 10+ salads from you guys and it has never been mixed together, and this salad looks like someone mixed it, ate half, then threw it in the bag. I am literally so angry right now but I know talking to the store employees will accomplish nothing. If the owner/manager sees this please consider doing some deep retraining of your associates and maybe even reworking your business model. It also baffles me that this review has been up for almost 2 weeks and the managers have not replied, but they replied to the last bad review the same day… Also I attached the photos

This place is very hole-in-the-wall, yet still a staple here in Springfield. They are reliably delicious and affordable, carry out only (no seating, no restroom). You can get nice pasta for under $10, that's crazy these days

Best bang for your buck we have found in the Springfield area! My husband and I came in for lunch, the gentleman cooking/working the counter was super friendly and helpful and got our food to us at record speed. We both got the spaghetti and meat sauce and the sauce was out of this world! Great little hole in the wall Italian gem- great food, great service!

The Alfredo sauce here is delicious! Great for dipping my breadsticks in too. Michael was polite and helpful. Will be stopping here on my lunch break more often.

If youre looking for a cheap, delicious meal, look no further! The Alfredo tortellini is fantastic, and all meals come with a great little side salad and 3 bread sticks. Wonderful bang for your buck, and the gentleman working was very polite and helpful. Definitely a go to lunch destination for me now!

Always good. A great value, especially for students. Update...I moved from Springfield, and stopped by today to take some home. It sure looks run down and dirty inside, kinda sad.

I will never give this restaurant my business again! They were supposed to cater my daughter‘s wedding in October and all they said I needed to do was give them a two week notice with a headcount and what we wanted. Never once did they say I needed to put down a deposit to reserve that date and now they are telling me they have no availability on that day! I would never ever trust them to cater any event. Very poorly managed!!!

We have been a customer for 11 years, and will not be back. We have not been this disappointed in a restaurant in a long time, and that is saying a lot. Prices have gone up 30%. The quantity has gone down as has the quality. Next time I want pasta I guess it's a can of spaghettiOs. That would make more sense I'm afraid. Really disappointed and take back everything great I've said about these guys in the past.

The boss brought in lunch for our 9 person crew. While the Caesar salad tasted good it was not good or easy to eat. They put in large pieces of core and not much leaf. Personally, I hated it. Their casserole was very dry. The rolls (not breadsticks) were the best part of the meal. Sure would have been nice to get a pat of butter with it. Had not been to Ott's in years and this was a big disappointment!

The guys there are great! He let us try a sample of the Alfredo. The pasta was perfect and so were the sauces. Don't forget the tiramisu. And tip them, they work hard to please their customers.

Connor served an entire lobby of people single-handedly while also being engaging and charismatic. Made our experience so awesome! Great food, Fantastic staff, and super fast!

Ott's pasta is the best restaurant here in Springfield. I love it so much that I even bought merch which is very good quality by the way. The food is even better. my favorite dish the the house casserole. it's hated on but I love it. my favorite worker is probably the guy named Peyton. I get Ott's every Tuesday night and he's there, serving with a big smile!

Not great food but it is cheap. Easy to pick up but the food is frozen junk. Breadsticks were stale

I've never had food this good for this little money. Comes with salad, breadsticks and enough pasta to make you full. Adding meat options add ~$1 and they also sell cheesecake. The wait is only a couple of minutes and the food is phenomenal. I had the variety tortellini with Alfredo sauce and chicken with broccoli. It was better than any pasta I've had at other restaurants. My friend recommends doing half Alfredo half marinara or meat sauce.

Ott's is always so fast and friendly! They are my go to for an affordable and filling meal. If you're in Springfield, you have to stop by! Great food and friendly folks that work there!

Delicious, fast, and affordable! I called my order in and by the time I got there (about 10 minutes) my food was done and brought to my car right away! I payed with a card and didn't even have to get out, they ran inside to run it and brought it right back. Would highly recommend! I got the variety tortellini with Alfredo sauce and was very impressed with their Alfaro sauce. Their meals are $5.55 each and come with salad and breadsticks. Fast food convenience with good quality food.

We hired Ott's to cater a wedding in Republic. They made it super easy and the food tasted fresh and not reheated. I'm pretty sure he had made everything that afternoon. We had over 200 guests and everyone was served quickly (buffet style). We were told many numerous guests how delicious the food was. They were spot on on the amount of food we needed too! And, the had gluten free . I would definitely recommend. I really couldn't improve the food , service or value. Thank you for helping us make the event memorable!!

So we live close to this place and hadn't ever tried it until today. I'm blown away at how inexpensive it is and how YUMMY it is! I got the tortellini with Alfredo sauce (each entree comes with a side salad and bread sticks, both were DELICIOUS!! I loved the salad dressing!) and a side of the toasted ravioli with marinara. I got an entree, side, and drink for $11!!! You can't eat anywhere that cheap for this quality!! Lots of food and an amazing price! Only reason I give it 4 stars is because it took about twice as long to get my order as they estimated, but I understand sometimes that can't be helped. 9/10 would absolutely eat here again!!!

Best pasta and best price, always and consistently! We used them for our wedding and it was a hit. This place is locally owned and a great one to support. Super clean. Quick service! A staple in Springfield, MO.

At one time, this was a great place to pick up a quick and tasty eat. The food still tastes good, but the portion sizes seem to be have reduced. And, no longer the good bread sticks Ott's was known for. Suggest going some place else now if you need a quick bite in Springfield.

Ott's is a Springfield tradition. It's been here at least twenty years, and who knows, it might go on for twenty more. It offers a selection of inexpensive carry-out-only pasta meals, including a house casserole, spaghetti, and other pasta. Your pasta comes in a styrofoam tub, along with a garden salad with Italian dressing and parmesan in another tub, and three bread sticks. The food quality is on the very good side of good. It's decent and filling. Maybe it's not on a par with what you'd get from a fancy Italian dining place like Bruno's, but it doesn't cost as much, either. For what you get, the $5 to $7 prices of most meals are a bargain. The one flaw is that there is nowhere to eat your food if you don't WANT to carry it out. It's a grab-and-go place and that's it. However, one possible solution to that is that Elle's Patisserie is right across the street, with nice outdoor tables. The proprietors didn't mind me eating my Ott's dinner there as long as I bought something from them to go with it.

ive been going to Otts since it opened years ago. Never had a complaint until now. I ordered two meals and was told they would bring it out. They were not busy so thought it would be quick. 20 min later I finally went in. It was sitting on the counter. The person said sorry it must have been a computer problem. I get home to cold food. Half of the usual size salad with no dressing. No bread sticks and replaced with a small roll. I'm fine with the increased prices but service and quality has as well. I know you can do better! I would hate to stop supporting you!

Otts pasta is my go to restaurant when I have guests coming to town, am having a gathering or just want some amazing toasted ravioli. You can't beat the prices and the good quality pasta!

Great little take out place. I honestly did not expect to like the food but I will be back. Tasty, filling, and affordable. I picked up a lasagna and cheese tortellini alfredo . Both came with a tiny salad and three breadsticks. Total was around $12.50 and fed me for a weekend. I'm looking forward to trying their other menu items. I am a New York Italian- if I'm saying it's good, it is.

I will never go back to this place. My wife and I used to live in the neighborhood and we would go pretty frequently. The food wasn't bad. One night fairly recently I called in a carry out order for my wife and once I got there the guy working the counter told me they didn't take credit cards. When I asked him what the credit card machine behind him was for he just parroted that they didn't take credit cards. I asked if he knew where a close ATM machine was and he said he didn't, so I drove 1 mile both ways in 5:00PM traffic to my bank and then back to Ott's where the guy acted like he'd never seen me before. I took my wife's cold food to her and sold her that it'd be a cold day in hell before I ever went back.

Ott's just catered our daughter's wedding at the beginning of June. All I can say is FABULOUS!! The food was fabulous, the service was fabulous, the price was fabulous. We had some very specific food allergies to work around and we could not have asked for a better group of people to work with. No matter our questions they were friendly, helpful and professional. My husband and I say thank you for a job well done. And again FABULOUS!!

Good food but nobody is picking up the phone at 5:53 on a Sunday. We love Ott's. I wonder if the number changed. OK, I checked their web site. Closed on Sundays. That's good. Everybody needs a day of rest. No wonder they've done so well for long. Nobody has to work on the Sunday. That makes for good morale among workers. Cool. Can't beat their price on a portion of lasagne, salad, and bread to go.

This is a great place for cheap and easy carry out Italian food. The house casserole is a favorite even though it's so simple. Great deals with pricing, and you get so much food for what you pay. I honestly love this place and their catering is just as good!

The lasagna was not any better than what I could buy in the freezer at grocery story, the bread sticks were dry, and the house salad was swimming in dressing. It was fast, which gave it two stars.

When our son got married in Lee's Summit, MO, we took Ott's Pasta with us fjor the rehearsal dinner and cooked it there. The staff at Ott's was extremely helpful with planning how much we would need and packaging the food to travel well, and cooking it there. It was a hit and very economical. Thank you, Ott's!

This is my favorite place to eat. I go here at least once a week, and not just because of the amazingly cheap food. I've tried almost everything on the menu and there's nothing I don't like. My favorites are the beef tortellini and the toasted raviolis. I would recommend this place to anyone because of the short wait time, friendly staff and great amount of food for such a low price! If you don't try ott's you're missing out. There's nowhere else like it.

Love it! Love it! Love it! Ott's is great food, filling yet small portions, and cheap. Their salad is great and my favorite pasta is the variety tortellini. With marinara sauce this meal is pretty healthy too.

A friend and I came here for dinner tonight and we were pretty impressed. The building itself is unique, and the staff are extremely friendly. The prices are extremely reasonable. The food is a little bit better than average. I got the Spaghetti with Meat Sauce and Meatballs, and it was definitely decent. In my opinion, it was better than Fazolis but homemade would be better. But for the price and everything you get, I'll definitely be coming back. I want to try everything the menu has to offer. Not the greatest, but definitely better than most.

The thing I miss most about living in Springfield? Ott's! A friend introduced me to this place when I first started college and I never looked back. The quality is good (not great, but good) and you can't beat the price. You get a lot for your money here. I love the cheese tortellini, which comes with a salad and breadsticks. I was back in Springfield a couple years ago for just a few hours, and Ott's was the first place I went. Part nostalgia, part craving!!!

We used Ott's to provide lunch for the teachers at my kids school for teacher appreciation day. The food is excellent! The staff is super friendly and very helpful! It's also very reasonably priced! If you need to feed a large group on a small budget, this is the place!

This is the ABSOLUTE greatest place to cater for a large large group. His prices are unbelievable also. Parties always rave about the food when we serve it. I hesitate to write this cauz I don't want to let my secret out but this establishment Soo deserves local business. Could not write a stronger recommendation really. . I need like6 or 7 stars.

Can't beat this place for the price and the food taste. There's a tall, skinny young guy in the kitchen however (he used to work the front counter), that should be fired. He never smiles or gives you any kind of a warm greeting or even says thank you. He acts like you're an inconvenience. When you order something and request a slight modification to it, he still makes it the way he wants to. The young brunette lady is very friendly, always smiles, and gives awesome customer service! She should be the owner.

Ott's Pasta is a great place for carry-out food that can be ordered ahead to limit the wait time. If you have a big event Ott's also offers catering just call a day or two ahead of time. Through-out the years this place consistently offers the community some good food at a good value. For close to $6 you get a generous portion of pasta, a small salad, & 2 or 3 breadsticks. Ott's menu offers a decent variety of choices too. I still miss & mourn when I learned Ott's discontinued their spinach noodles. I suggest, you get Ott's number & anytime you feel hungry & don't want to cook call them 10-15 minutes ahead & then you can pick-up some good food.

Otts Pasta is the bomb! I love that I can get pasta, salad, and breadsticks for five dollars! For a poor hungry college student, Otts is where its at!

5 stars for the food and the prices, I have been eating here for over 20 years and the place is as good as it always was. They keep it fast and simple. No place to sit but that is ok. I guess I would consider it fast food but the taste is far above the quality of what you think of when you think of fast food.
