Dual-concept deli and contemporary Jewish cuisine in midcentury-modern digs with huge gin list.
"Closed on March 16, will reopen at a later date once safe." - Rachel Leah Blumenthal
"Allston deli and gin bar Our Fathers knows there’s more than one way to make a good martini. The martini menu features seven variations: bone dry, extra dry, dry, wet, dirty, Gibson, and the Duke (chilled Plymouth gin with no dilution). Each of these can be made with any of Our Fathers’ 154 gins, so the possibilities are nearly endless." - Katie Faust Stryjewski
"Our Fathers is sort of like the Jewish deli version of a gastropub. That is to say it’s got a menu filled with pastrami and smoked fish, but you’ll be eating it in a place that feels more like a 1950s airport lounge than a greasy diner with racks of potato chips and framed pictures of old-timey New York on the wall. They do have a small take-out operation on the side for sandwiches, but you should come here for a sit-down meal to also enjoy their cocktails and selection of draft beers." - dan secatore
"Our Fathers is one part Jewish deli, one part mid-century modern lounge, and one part gin cellar. Which of these parts most appeals to you obviously depends on a lot of things about your personality that - until we spend some time bonding, getting in and out of a little trouble, and making memories - we can only guess at. But the total package works. There’s a tiny take-out counter that works if you just want some pastrami or corned beef sandwiches, but you really should come here for a sit-down meal and some lamb meatballs." - Dan Secatore
"The Que Será Será is Our Fathers’ bar manager Sara Alvernaz’s creative take on sangria — with no wine or fruit in sight. Butterfly pea flower tea gives the cocktail its beautiful purple hue and a faint floral flavor that complements fruity quince gin and herbal yellow Chartreuse. Juniper berries and edible flowers provide the finishing touch." - Katie Faust Stryjewski
