We had to settle for this place after going through two other restaurants on New Year's- while one was closed, the other had a line with a wait time of approximately 1 hour ! The next closest place with good reviews was Our Place.
We came expecting a wait time, but when we got here, it took only 10 min to arrange the tables and have us settled. Apparently we were the last guests before it closed for the day.
Its a buffet Indian food place. The spread was huge, bigger than any other buffet I had tasted in a long time. For starters there was Samosa and Mysore bajji. There was several chutneys, but no coconut chutney which is understandable considering it was an Andhra place ( for those who don't know- people from this region do not eat as much coconut chutney as peanut and other variations)
In the vegetarian spread, there was uttapam, idli, panner curry, palak panner, chole, baingan, mixed vegetables curry, and sambar. In rice there was fried rice, and plain rice. Chinese, there was noddles and Manchurian curry.
For desserts it was fruit salad, ksheera and vanilla ice cream cone.
I missed the curd rice but did taste it and it was sooo good.
Basically it was a huge selection of foods, everything I ate was good.
What I noticed needed improvement- it was a buffet and obviously you had to leave your plate on the table and get a new one when you go to get more food, these plates stayed right where we left them and we ended up keeping it on the empty table behind us to make place for our own plates. Secondly, the water guy never came around until we called, neither first time nor for refills. I will give them the benefit of doubt that it was an exceptionally busy day so there was a little lapse.
At $20, I think it was a fair price for a buffet.
The restaurant itself is neat and has two big halls for customers. Interiors was neither too loud nor too less, it was ok.
If you want to try a lot of Indian food at one go, this is a good stop.
