The 38 Best Restaurants in Honolulu, Hawai‘i | Eater

"Before brunch hotspots popped up all over O‘ahu, Kailua was the go-to neighborhood for pancakes. Even now that you can get brunch pretty much anywhere, the neighborhood’s Over Easy remains one of the best places to start your day. The breakfast menu is short, but it’s still really hard to narrow down the options: On a recent visit, I sat at the counter by myself and ordered an entire stack of pancakes, along with a bowl of eggs and Portuguese sausage over rice in a bacon cabbage broth — it’s that hard to choose. Those pancakes are fluffy and crispy-edged, and the savory dishes are pure finessed comfort. Bring a friend so you can also get the eggs on toast smothered in potato cream. And the kalua pig hash. And the brunch bowl. A few years ago, owners Nik and Jennifer Lodendahn opened Easy ‘Que, but Over Easy remains a favorite. Know before you go: There’s usually a line, but it’s likely to be shorter early on a weekday." - Martha Cheng

Our family enjoyed a wonderful brunch at Over Easy. Everything we ordered was delicious!! Very Generous portions at reasonable prices. Great atmosphere and customer service. Good robust coffee! *An order of 2 Pancakes can feed 2 people very easily * I ordered the Mango pancakes they were so good but my Mother-in-law & I should have taken the advice of our wonderful server and shared a plate! I only ate half of the pancakes and my Mother-in-law took her pancakes to go!

Google
Great food! I got the custard French toast and it was delicious!! Good portion sizes, but i had to get the half because it was just too much food for one person. Everyone is super friendly and the kitchen is buzzing! Loved the experience and cant wait to be back!!!

Google
Parking is tight in the area but plenty of pay to park within a quarter of a mile or so. Upon arrival you enter your info into the pad to get entered into queue. Table was ready within 5 min or so, they have seating both in and outside. Restroom around the corner. Now the good stuff…. Their food is amazing! The Kaluah pig hash was massive with enough to take home for breakfast the next day. Wonderful mix of flavors, would definitely order again. Husband said fried egg sandwich was flavorful. The orange-pineapple juice was delish. All in all we were very satisfied with both the service and food, would definitely return.

Google
Fried Chicken burger is awesome. Everything on the menu is great. Service is the best. Parking in Challenging. I've seen some people park at McDonald's and walk over. Again, never fails, always a great time and the best service. Alike was awesome and very attentive. You have to come to this place, as for the local beer and try the mimosas.

Google
Highly recommended! First time visiting, the food was amazing and fresh, the French toast and Kailua pork breakfast was our favorite. The customer service was fantastic! They don’t have a parking area, so you have to pay for parking nearby. Can’t wait to go back! 10/10!

Google
The food absolutely blew us out of the water- the portions were crazy big, especially the pancake. Delicious fruit and cream pancakes, and super unique pairing for the kalua hash. Absolutely worth getting their fresh squeezed juices- it's hard to find that taste of lemonade! Cool views of the surrounding mountains. Definitely come try!

Google
We been in Oahu for 5 days and this is the first meal that we actually enjoyed. Pancakes (plain) are DELICIOUS! Chunky monkey pancakes are good as well if you like peanut butter (I don’t but I tried them) Plain pancakes 1000/10 Fried eggs sandwich 10/10 Kalua pig hash 10/10 Potato N eggs 10/10

Google
Very interesting food dishes! We ordered the recommended ones. Portions are huge and delicious! I have to compliment them on how well they make their eggs. It was perfect! However, they are very popular so there might be a wait for the table.

Yelp
A local favorite of mine. Nestled on a side area in Kailua where parking can be a challenge but don't let it deter you. This place is amazing and worth the wait! Get a chance to eat at the bar. You'll have a front row seat to the kitchen where you can witness first hand the making of absolutely amazing dishes. The staff is always friendly and very efficient. Never a bad experience and don't expect there will be. Parking can be tricky as there is predominantly street parking. However, circle around the block and find the parking structure behind Mc Donald's. It's a short walk between the buildings from there! Aloha!

Yelp
Visited around noon on a Sunday. Thankfully had just missed the end of the breakfast rush and got there before most of the lunch folks. We were seated outside right away. Wait staff was excellent. Super attentive and nice. Offered menu suggestions as well! Indoor and outdoor seating are available. Place is very casual with a mix of local and tourist diners. Food was yummy but a little over priced.

Yelp
I've been living in Kailua for almost 3 months now and regret not coming to this place sooner! My coworkers raved about this place (especially for the kalua pig hash and eggplant sandwich) and I finally got to dine here for breakfast after my night shift. Ugh, so so sooooo yummy and so filling. They also have a pumpkin crunch pancake right now for the thanksgiving holiday and let me tell ya -- it was TO DIE FOR! The service was also nice and really quick! Your whole party needs to present in order to sit down so keep that in mind. We all knew what we wanted so once we ordered, we timed how long it would take our food to come out because my coworkers said the food comes out very fast. And boy were they right. It took 5 minutes from ordering for our food to come out and it was presented beautiful and hot There is seating at the bar, inside the restaurant and a bunch of tables outside. I'd say the only downside about this restaurant is the parking situation, as it is right on the side of the road. But there is a parking structure not too far away and pay to park street parking as well.

Yelp
Never disappointed .. always "ono" Come early , seat and enjoy . Service is friendly and they all prepare your food like an orchestra

Yelp
We have been waiting to eat here. It was worth the wait, and best part is we had such good luck to be able to walk in a get a table. This cute little beach style dining was just want we needed after our morning hike. I ordered the breakfast sandwiches with their house made sourdough and I was so happy I did, I shared it with my husband and it was huge. The sourdough was some of the best since I have been on the island, the egg was cooked perfectly, and the crispy potatoes where full of flavor and cooked just right, since I shared my breakfast that meant I got to share my husband's custard French toast that was so good you don't even need syrup. It had this light crisp on the outside and soft creme on the inside. I couldn't stop eating it. Our friends also enjoyed their food and we all left so full and fulfilled. The menu might not be big but what they do is perfection. Love, love, love.

Yelp
Had an amazing brunch here. It helps when you have a bunch of friends or family so you can order then whole menu. After a sunrise hike at the pillbox and needing fuel before the 2 hikes next and beach we didn't know where on the agenda this place fuels you up! The wait was a bit long I think it was the weekend but that was ok. Looking at everyone with their plates of food and all those volcano plates we knew we were gonna eat good. Hanging out in the sun I went over to the take out cafe section and picked up a ton of pastries and coffees so we ended up having an appetizer pre game The staff was so nice and out waitress was great

Yelp
Over Easy in Kailua is a breakfast gem with a relaxed atmosphere that's perfect for starting the day. The outdoor seating offers a welcoming, laid-back vibe with shaded tables where you can enjoy Kailua's morning breeze and coastal ambiance. It's a setting that invites you to linger over breakfast, taking in the peaceful surroundings before diving into the day. But the real highlight at Over Easy is the Custard French Toast, a dish that feels like a special indulgence. Made from thick slices of Hawaiian sweetbread, each piece is perfectly crisp on the outside while maintaining a custard-like softness on the inside. The texture is melt-in-your-mouth and just the right amount of decadent. Topped with a subtle whipped cream and a touch of orange crème fraîche, the toast is transformed. The whipped cream brings a light sweetness, while the orange crème fraîche adds a hint of citrusy brightness, creating a beautiful balance that's refreshing yet satisfying. Each bite is a blend of flavors and textures that feels both luxurious and comforting. This Custard French Toast, along with the welcoming outdoor seating and relaxed atmosphere, makes Over Easy a must-visit in Kailua for anyone craving a memorable breakfast experience. If you're looking for a spot to savor your morning, Over Easy is a delicious way to start your day in paradise.

Yelp
Sunday Brunch in Kailua! The scenic drive from town is always worth it. Woke up excited to get some breakfast food, since I often skip this meal most of the time. Tip: Call ahead of time to put your name on the waitlist! Our table was luckily ready once we arrived, only waited 5 minutes once we checked in with the host. Estimated wait time is usually about 45 minutes to 1 hour. We were seated inside where there is AC and fans. But if you get seated outside, it will probably be pretty hot. Dress light and bring a fan maybe. Server was a little slow, but upbeat and friendly. It gets very busy here! Most, if not all tables were occupied when we were seated. Street parking only. Good news is Sundays all the metered parking is free! Food: The night before, I was drooling once I saw pictures of their most popular dish, The Kalua Pig Hash ($21) which was a large enough portion, enough to share for some. My partner demolished his meal in one sitting though. Tender Kalua pork, with a mixture of Okinawan purple potatoes, fingerling potatoes, delicious green goddess sauce, and topped off with 2 local eggs and lomi tomatoes. Perfection! All the flavors complemented each other well. Would order this again! Highly recommend if you're in the area!

Yelp
Friends recommend to have brunch at Over Easy. Quick tip is to call 30mins in advance to be put on the waitlist as the place gets packed! I'm telling you mom and pops restaurants are amazing! Good eats all the way! Portions are huge so sharing is caring. Definitely worthy of coming back.

Yelp
The food here is always top notch. A bit on the pricey end, but well worth it for the high quality of the food and presentation. The potato and eggs is my go to dish because it is so rich and creamy, savory and delicate at the same time. My dish was served with an alternate type of bread which was similar to focaccia, which was underwhelming. I definitely prefer the normal toasted bread slices that they usually use as opposed to the single large piece of what I suspect to be some type of focaccia bread. My daughter ordered the standard breakfast with two eggs, crispy bacon and a side order of their special Portuguese sausage fried extra crispy. Needless to say that she loved her food as she usually does when we eat here. She was feeling a little under the weather, so we got an invigorating glass of the orange turmeric juice which was freshly squeezed and just what the doctor ordered! The service her is always very good. The staff are always very welcoming, attentive, and very accommodating. We were able to place our name in the wait list ahead of time, while we drove there, so by the time we got there, we were able to be seated right away. This is an awesome service especially since my daughter was t feeling 100% As for the ambiance, don't expect anything special. Given the limited capacity of the restaurant and its location on a Main Street, they make the most of the space that they have. Dining in the actual restaurant provides a much better ambiance as the restaurant gives off a clean and modern beach boho vibe. Regardless of where you sit, the restaurant is clean and spaced accordingly. It is a very popular place and for good reason. Anytime you combine amazing food that tastes great and is post worthy, mixed with an awesome staff, you'd be missing out if you don't visit the next time you're in Kailua.

Yelp
I have wanted to eat at Over Easy for a while but don't often find myself in Kailua. The second I realized I would be there a couple Sunday's ago I knew just where I wanted to grab brunch. I've read parking may be tough on weekends and I was probably very lucky to had found street parking very close by when I went. It's metered but free on Sundays! As for the food... phenomenal. I tend to order by pictures (on Yelp or IG) and the pictures of their potato n' eggs looked so amazing. Ordering by pictures actually doesn't often pan out for me... but in this case the dish was even better than the pictures! My daughter got a cheeseburger and loved it too... although was only able to eat half because they are huge! Even though the restaurant was packed and we were there on the weekend, we barely waited. You can watch the kitchen if you are seated inside and they were hustling!!! I was ready for a nap just watching how much energy they were putting into cranking out their delicious dishes as quickly as possible. I'm going to have to drive to Kailua a lot more now that I'm hooked on the restaurant.

Yelp
This was my first time at Over Easy in Kailua town, it won't be my last. I sat at the counter and just watched the show. True artisans who clearly love what they do! My breakfast was incredible, service was fantastic, the whole experience was noteworthy. If you want a spectacular breakfast and food that was prepared with love, you've got to check out Over Easy!
google avatar

Yelp
Over Easy was one of the best meals I had in Hawaii. I got the "The Basic" with scrambled eggs, house made sausage, sourdough toast, and mixed greens. The scrambled eggs were phenomenal as you can hopefully tell by the picture. The sausage was also really good and had a nice sweet and salty flavor. The sourdough was quite good too. The mixed greens were alright. It had a green goddess dressing, but I couldn't taste it that much. The only issue I had was the dish was a little small and I was still a bit hungry after. Our server was friendly and made sure everything was good even though it was pretty busy. You'll likely have to wait a bit to eat here, but it's worth it.

Yelp
December 2024. It's 6:30am....just landed from 9th Island. Headed straight to OE for their world class pancakes, real eggs, home style potatoes that make you forget French fries exist. With such high expectations, the food and service did not disappoint. Was as delicious and comforting as my memories from last year's meals here and many many other meals (too many to count) over the past 8 years. Same chef and team and servers, like visiting your favorite uncle's home for great holiday meals! Easily one of my most favorite bfast spots on the planet. If you know you know. If you have not been here, it's a must try. A Kailua institution in every sense.

Yelp
I wish I could give this place more stars because it's definitely a perfect 10. My husband and I arrived a little after 9 and the line was long, but not too long of a wait, and were seated up front and center watching Unko in the background calling out the orders and laying the last condiments on each dish. We ordered: 2 coffees 1 Brisket Loco Moco 1 Brunch Bowl I think while showing my husband the picture of what I ordered, Unko or one of the servers heard me say "I don't know how to eat it, but we'll find out," because as soon as our food arrived, our server let us know that the chef suggested mixing everything together (soft boiled egg, greek yogurt, tomato jam, spinach, and micro greens) and placing it on top of the toasted sourdough bread. I didn't do that though. The first piece of toast, I did it my own way and once I figured out what to do with her YO GIRL ATE AND LEFT NO CRUMBS!

Yelp
Had a pleasant & delicious lunch at Over Easy when visiting Kailua with some local friends! The food was delicious - we all enjoyed our meals. They do give enormous portions so come hungry! My eggplant sandwich was an amazing vegetarian option. We also enjoyed our drinks - coffee, Bloody Mary, & some delicious juice. It was busy when we first got in line but we were called to a table fairly quickly! The server was delightful - so sweet, helpful & funny. Our food came out quickly as well & she even let my partner order the shrimp burger from the lunch menu despite it being 10 minutes before lunch started. The restaurant has both indoor & outdoor seating and is overall a casual vibe! Great option for breakfast/brunch in Kailua & would absolutely recommend/return.

Yelp
Omg I love this place so so much! My bf and I came here after hiking. We called ahead because they don't take reservations and they're usually always busy. The woman on the phone kindly added us to the waitlist and we were seated immediately when we got there! Our table was outside, which we loved since it was such a beautiful day!! We ordered pancakes, Portuguese sausage & rice, and their famous pancakes. No kidding, the food literally came out in less than 5 minutes!!! We were so amazed and happy since we were starving from our hike LOL. Omg the food was soooooo good. I loved the breakfast sandwich esp because of the caramelized onions. My bf said that the Portuguese sausage was one of the best he's had on the island. We shared their crispy edge pancakes and we LOVED IT!! This is my favorite breakfast place on the whole island!

Tom D.

Yelp
Bring your appetite! What a gem of a place fantastic food and service, bonus open kitchen and you can watch the MAGIC happen! I had the Kalua Pig Has (pictured) and my wife got one of the bowls. Everything was so fresh and tasty. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
google avatar

Yelp
Omggg soooo yummy! EVERYTHING was AMAZING!! We ordered 3 Over Easy plates! My husband had 2 for himself one with Kalua pig and the other with avocado. He enjoyed them with the potatoes and his looked so good when they arrived that I had to get one for myself. They did not disappoint! Everything tasted great and was cooked perfectly. I got mines with crispy bacon and over easy eggs and rice. We tried both the custard French toast and the crispy edge pancakes. The Custard French Toast was the star of the show Oh my lanta My favorites flavors combined! Custard filled, but not gooey dripping out filling like you would typically expect, but even better the way they do it! More like a custard texture. Think of mochi pancakes... now imagine custard French toast Couldn't recommend this place anymore! Julia our server was so sweet and kind! Thank you for taking care of us we really enjoyed our breakfast!

Kelvin K.

Yelp
Short wait, called ahead and put my name on waitlist. Food is great: pancakes, pork hash, French toast and breakfast sandwiches. Everyone was friendly and so helpful.
google avatar

Yelp
Great breakfast spot in Kailua. I got the plate with pork, sourdough toast, potatoes, and over medium eggs. My friend and I both got mimosas too. We sat outside with my dog and they brought over water for her. The whole staff was so friendly and came over to give her pets and make sure she was comfortable! The food was delicious and portions were large. My friend got the pancakes and we couldn't even finish them between the both of us. They were so light and fluffy but very filling. Definitely tasted better with the fruit and cream cheese filling! Be prepared for a line, it was still decently busy during the week when we went but service was still quick and enjoyable.
google avatar

Brenda L.

Yelp
Had Sunday brunch here for the first time and I will definitely be coming back! I put my name down on the waitlist at about 12:30pm and the way was about less than 10 minutes for 2 people. The service was great, everyone was so nice and friendly, the waitress was very efficient! My husband and I got the Fried Chicken sandwich and the Custard French Toast to share. The fried chicken sandwich was soooo delicious. The breading of the chicken was fried to perfection, crispy, light, and airy. It paired perfectly with the aioli ontop as well as the coleslaw. I usually don't like coleslaw at all but this paired so great with the chicken, I believe the slaw was pickled cabbage/carrots/onions. Tasted very nice with a brioche bun, The fries were crispy and fresh, my husband really enjoyed them! We also got a side of their potatoes as well which was seasoned nicely. The Custard French Toast was good, the edges were crispy and inside was warm and fluffy with the custard, Tasted good with the strawberries and cream, I can't wait to come back and try other options they have!
google avatar

Yelp
Looking for a great breakfast place near the beach? Come over to this restaurant. There's always a wait and I know why. It's so good. Breakfast is pretty standard. How many ways can you make eggs? But it's not just the eggs. It's their bread. Wow! So good and the bacon and sausage. I didn't think an egg sandwich can be so good. Yes, an egg sandwich that we often throw together at home when we have nothing else to eat. But at this place, it was so good! I also got their papaya fruit dish. That's one fresh papaya. I think there's yogurt in it. It was also very good. I highly recommend this place.

Yelp
This place was AWESOME! I found it on google maps after a sunrise hike, and we were hungry. We paid $1.50 for one hour of street parking and were quickly seated outside under a shaded area with a nice breeze. It was peaceful and clean. The hostess, server, and all supporting waitstaff were fantastic. They all had smiles on their faces, gave great recommendations, and were attentive. Our table of 4 tried different juices (fantastic!!), good coffee, and huge breakfast plates. The bathrooms are tucked away and might be difficult to navigate if you have mobility limitations. I will go out of my way to eat here next time I'm on Oahu!
google avatar

Sheri A.

Yelp
As I was eating I heard a customer say, "good food, good service, and they even play good music" and I totally agree. The food was beautifully presented and complemented by a delightful array of ingredients. Today we decided to try the fried chicken sandwich. The fried chicken was nicely batter, moist, and very crispy (my guess would be coated with some kind of cornflake). The chicken was topped with a slightly spicy coleslaw which I thought paired nicely. However, my son said he would prefer to eat it separately. The fries taste light and fresh. The custard French toast was not my favorite, I didn't care for the orange creme fraiche, but my husband enjoyed it. The kalua pig hash is perfect for anybody who loves Hawaiian food. Service was fast and friendly. Note: free street parking on Sundays.
google avatar

Cynthia F.

Yelp
Everything was wonderful!!! The pressed juice was awesome my breakfast was delicious. I especially like the potatoes which were a combo of sweet & regular. Parking can be tricky finding street space but it's so worth it. I'll be back!
google avatar

Aileen M.

Yelp
Our local friends brought us here after our Lanikai Pillbox Hike, and it was such a hit. We came on Saturday morning around 10, and there was no wait, woohoo! Also, no onsite parking, so look for street parking (not too bad). We of course got the KALUA PIG HASH- so so good. The meat was so tender and tasty, and the Okinawan/Fingerling potatoes complimented it so well with the texture and the sweetness from the Okinawan purple potatoes. Also, this is a hefty generously-portioned dish. We also ordered a simpler dish, the OVER EASY PLATE with the housemade sausage, and omg, that sausage was good. It's on the sweeter side, but it works really well with the eggs and the sourdough toast. By the time we left, there was a huuuuge wait, so I recommend coming earlier before 11. Lastly, service was wonderful and very friendly.
google avatar

Matthew L.

Yelp
Recommend this place if you're in Kailua looking for a quick and fun breakfast place! Very tasty, service and staff age friendly. I recommend to get there early when they open to get a better chance on getting a table, but totally worth the wait!! Outdoor/Indoor seating, very clean!
google avatar

Qiwei L.

Yelp
When someone says a dish is to die for, I'm always skeptical and feel that it's a naive exaggeration, but let me tell you, this restaurant completely changed my perspective. Everything here is extremely extremely extremely delicious! We came here at 8am and no wait is needed. We ordered special papaya boat, kailua pork hash, french toast and the basic. The food came out in less than 5 minutes! Though kailua pork didn't look as good in pictures on Yelp, it's really delicious, there's a little hint of smoke flavor and juicy, and the green puree cancelled out any strong pork smells, making this a perfect dish. And the eggs, oh my god, were so fluffy and fresh, you won't get wrong with either scrambled or over easy. I'm usually not into eating raw eggs but their over easy eggs were so fresh! And finally, I love the french toast so much. It's a little crispy on the outside, but literally melts in your mouth! Everything here is way beyond my imagination, I'm so glad to have given it a try. This will be a memorable meal for my entire life!
google avatar

Maggie K.

Yelp
This spot is fabulous! I had the brunch bowl, so fresh and so light, but soooo much food! Every bite was brilliant and I enjoyed it. The bacon was surprisingly tasty; I'm not a bacon person but I think they glaze with maple or something because it was perfectly crispy and sweet and salty. Quick service as I went right when they opened, and I sat out side as it wasn't too hot yet. As 0800 crept closer, it got busier and busier so get there early or be prepared for a wait. Lots of parking nearby but you will need to walk to get to over easy so just be prepared.
google avatar

Belinda M.

Yelp
The food was absolutely delicious and so fresh! Ruth was very pleasant and gave us some recommendations on the menu. We both had the fried egg sandwich ( one with bacon and avocado and the other with the house made sausage ) so good!
google avatar

Jessica Y.

Yelp
Got a couple dishes that were so amazing. The kalia pig has was savory and soft and the eggs were cooked just right. The portions were pretty large and filled me up. Had a nice and casual street view outside and was pretty packed. Make a reservation in advance to skip the wait! Food: 9/10 Service: 7/10 (busy) Ambience: 6.9/10
google avatar

Yelp
This place is amazing. My cousin suggested it and we loved it. The pork hash was so good and huge! Big enough to share. The pancakes are huge but so fluffy and delicious. We loved sitting out on the lanai and the servers and hostess were so friendly and helpful. Such a cute place to eat for breakfast and lunch. We'll be back

Yelp
A must if you are in Oahu!! We came on a Sunday morning and got a table in ten mins. The food came out right away and Juliet our waitress was so nice and gave great recommendations. Now the best for last... the food!!! Everything was heavenly. The prime rib Loco Moco was very flavorful. The Custard French toast was fluffy and delicious. Highly recommend!!!!

Yelp
I am in LOVE with this place. Any time I come back to Oahu, I make sure I make it to Over Easy. Went with my friends and we STUFFED ourselves. We got 2 eggs Benedict's with the potato purée. This purée has overtaken my dreams. The buttery, rich, silky flavor. Jezuzzzz!! I'd bathe in it. We also got the pancakes and the pork hash. That green sauce on the hash is sooo good. I don't know what it is but give me 14 of them right now!! I think we had reservations or we got there and waited about 45mins to be seated outside. It's by far my favorite brunch spot in Oahu. Come with time and an appetite. We use street parking, so we found a space next to McDs. We ended the brunch with some pastries and it was also 10/10.
google avatar

Janelle N.

Yelp
Great food! I read that they did not take reservations so we did a walk in. Not a long wait we went around 9 am. The server was very sweet and the food came out quickly. We sat outside and it's a cute place. Parking was a bit difficult but there is a parking garage close by or you can try to find street parking. The food portions are huge so recommend sharing.
google avatar

Amy C.

Yelp
Amazing food with over generous portions. Fastest I have ever gotten food out to my table. Literally within 7 minutes. Great staff as well. Pretty packed joint, but definitely worth the wait and noise.

Yelp
Took my husband here for a Father's Day breakfast and they did not disappoint. This breakfast/brunch spot gets pretty busy, so we made sure to get there early. Our table was outside, which was nice because it's shaded and had a nice breeze. The Father's Day special was a 14oz prime rib loco moco. It was HUGE and so delicious. We also ordered the breakfast sandwich and some pancakes to share. The portion sizes are quite large, big enough to share. All in all, a great place to eat, no matter the occasion. Give this place a try!

Yelp
This restaurant blames their lack of care for their take out orders on the customer. Food cost is already expensive. Not too many people can afford to just throw food away.

Yelp
Parking was a little difficult. We were greeted and seated almost immediately. The waiter was very good at multitasking and getting meals out quickly to several tables in the order of sequence. Short wait on food, it was fresh and hot. We will definitely be back.

Yelp
Came here because this was rated one of the brunch spots on Yelp! Parking here can be difficult to find, but didn't take us too long. We were seated immediately and the service was great! I decided to go with their Kalua Pig and I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. The pig was well cooked, and the green sauce that it was with was delicious! We also got Lilikoi mimosas which are much better than a traditional mimosa. My fiancé got their fried egg sandwich which was also solid. Great brunch spot.

Yelp
Dined here in 2016 when they first opened and came back to try after seeing them on Yelp's Top 100 Brunch spots in the US. Brunch was better than remembered and service/food was well managed to keep up with the busyness. The wait was relatively quick and service was swift. We enjoyed hearty portions of the lunch items with choice of side. Fried eggplant sandwich was a little messy to eat. The cool yogurt sauce and fresh alfalfa/tomato/avo balanced out the breaded fried eggplant on house made bread. The side salad was well dressed and mixed with pickled onions/cherry tomato. Fried chicken sandwich was tender and moist with banh mi like toppings, pickled carrot/daikon and cilantro. The bun was good, but does get soggy. Chose French fries over the fried potatoes. Also ordered the homemade sausage, yum - sweet and slightly herby. The plantation iced tea was refreshing and Chad Lous house coffee was flavorful. Fun and lively brunch spot, dog friendly. Energetic kitchen and constant turnover of diners.

Yelp
RESTAURANT: We arrived at Over Easy at 7:30am, straight from Lanikai Beach. We were seated immediately and our server Stephanie was very nice and accommodating to our food related questions. Although the restaurant was next to a gas station, it still had a welcoming vibe and felt more like a hole in the wall gem. FOOD: The kalua pork hash was amazing. So tender, with crispy potatoes and over easy eggs seasoned perfectly. To top it all off, it was served with a "green goddess" sauce that was simply unbelievable. The whole dish came together beautifully, and the presentation was even more beautiful. The French toast was so soft and tasty. It came with a citrus cream and a side of syrup, but you don't even need the syrup because it was so good on its own. I regret only getting a half order. Overall I'd say that Over Easy was a great experience and very delicious. I definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting the Kailua area, and will be coming back next time I'm in Hawaii :)

Yelp
The highlight of today's visit was the service. No AC so it was HOT AF! The place is loud and crowded! I have misgivings about a 3 star rating because I feel it is 2.5 stars at best. I ordered the Brunch Bowl ($19), House Made Sausage ($5), and Pineapple Lilikoi Martini ($12). Tbh, I did not like the food. It's a build your own breakfast sandwich. The white sauce smeared on the plate is strangely tangy/sour and off putting. The house made sausage is sweet with a spongy texture. A hard sear would've made it edible. Everyone in our party of 5 ordered different dishes and cocktails, so a decent tasting of their menu. The consensus regarding the food was mediocre at best, drinks slightly better. I would say go early because it'll be a challenge to find parking, however, I can't recommend a visit considering overall cost.

Yelp
Not sure what else there is to add about Over Easy, but it is easily one of the top brunch spots on the island! My favorites include: - Their pancakes: Always crispy edges with pillowsy soft buttery batter...when they have the seasonal offerings (eg pumpkin spice), make sure you try them! The cream cheese + fruit filling in the middle is always so delicious! - Kalua pig hash: This is a HUGE serving of pork, two kinds of potatoes, greens, and eggs. Super hearty with tender meat/eggs and soft potatoes. - Fried egg sandwich: always with perfectly crisp buttered sourdough bread, perfectly cooked egg, melty cheese with a side of greens. Hits the spot. - Fried chicken sandwich: This is such a nice lunch offering- the super crispy juicy fried chicken is nicely paired and offset by the tangy spicy coleslaw and Asian aioli on a pillowy brioche bun...what a great combo. Service here is fast and efficient but be prepared for a wait if you didn't call ahead!

Yelp
One of the best local breakfast spots, food is always timely and the servers are super kind. This is a healthy spot but very delicious. Always the first choice after a good hike or early beach day. The owner also takes really good care of his employees.

Yelp
We came for bunch at around 12 pm. Plenty of seats open so we got seated immediately which is always nice. Since it was our first time here, our server Danielle gave us the run down on the most popular dishes. Once we knew which were the best sellers, we decided to order our drinks. I got a hot chocolate ($4) and the other half got their plantation ice tea ($5). For our entrees we ordered the kalua pig hash ($19), potato N eggs ($19) and the fried egg sandwich with housemade sausage and crispy potatoes ($15) Our server recommended their sausage goes best for the sandwich. The food came out no more than 5 minutes. The spread looked good but the taste was even better! The sourdough bread on the sandwich was crispy on the edges and soft in the middle. Over easy egg is a must. It's messy but worth the mess! The kalua pig was delicious and flavorful and the green sauce that's spread throughout the plate was pretty good. Lastly was the potato n eggs. A different style of eggs benefit but still very good. No ham/meat like traditional Benedict's and the usual hollandaise sauce but their own sauce was good and topped off with bacon bits. The food here is great and very different dishes that separate them from other breakfast places. Our server Danielle made our experience super enjoyable and i applaud her for going over and beyond for her customers.

Yelp
This place exceeded all expectations! French toast was a delightful balance of flavors and textures, with just the right amount of sweetness. The addition of the orange cream elevated the dish to new heights, providing a refreshing and citrusy contrast to the fluffy toast. It was a symphony of taste that left me longing for more. The farm bowl may seem simple, but it packs a punch in terms of flavor. Each ingredient was fresh and vibrant, coming together harmoniously to create a satisfying and wholesome meal. And let's not forget about the candied bacon--it was truly a revelation. The perfect combination of sweet and savory, it left me craving seconds. the kalua pork was undeniably tasty, I found it to be a bit heavy, especially compared to the lighter fare offered on the menu. I tried the pink dragon pressed juice and while the name intrigued me, the taste left much to be desired. The excessive sourness of the drink was a bit overwhelming, and I struggled to finish it. Perhaps a milder option would have been more to my liking. I would highly recommend this place!
