Over the Charles Rooftop Bar

I came here for a date night and I loved it. It was easy to park and get to the 16th floor. We had a reservation so we got seated right away. The view is beautiful, the breeze and the weather were perfect, the food was good and the drinks excellent. Customer services was really good too, Maria Ospina was our server. We had the Berry Bliss and Mango Daiquiri, the South of the Border Chicken Nachos and the Baja Crispy Chicken Sandwich. Everything was delicious. They even had live music on a Thursday.

My wife and I had a truly wonderful time! The view of the city, food, and service were all exceptional. The staff were incredibly friendly, helpful, and genuinely attentive, and our server, Maria O., provided outstanding service. We highly recommend this place!

It’s finally open again! I’ve read complaints about the food, well you don’t go there for the food (which is average), you go there for the views! We ordered the empanadas and tuna tacos, they were ok. We also ordered the frozen margaritas (be careful they are quite strong!). The service is nice (a bit slow, but professional and respectful). All in all I do recommend this place for a nice summer afternoon with friends.

Highly recommend this place, hands down the best rooftop restaurant in Boston. The view was awesome, the drinks were made just right. Maria took really good care of my party, extremely personable and helpful.

I had a great time winding down and chilling on the rooftop overlooking the Charles River with a cool breeze blowing. It's also a welcoming place for families or solo diners, with a casual atmosphere where guests can dress comfortably. The only downside was that the high and firm chairs were slightly uncomfortable for me. All the staff I encountered during my visit were diligent and dedicated to their responsibilities. In particular, I want to mention Maria, who was our server several times. She was friendly and sweet, always greeting us warmly and paying close attention to our needs. She even remembered our previous meals and preferences, which made each visit special and memorable. Thank you, Maria!

Had an amazing experience here! We went on a Monday night, late, it wasn't busy and the view was great. The service was the best part though, Maria our server was amazing. She right away asked if I wanted a blanket to stay warm, was super friendly, and perfectly attentive but never intrusive on our conversation. My gauva margaritas and my friends drinks were great. We didnt get food but would absolutely go back for food and drinks. Hidden gem of a Boston rooftop bar!

From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was welcoming and the views were simply breathtaking. One of the best skyline views of Boston I’ve seen. What made the night truly special, though, was our server Maria. She was incredibly warm, attentive, and knowledgeable, offering great drink suggestions and making sure everything was perfect throughout the night. The cocktails were creative and delicious, and the small plates were fresh and flavorful.

The weather was beautiful, and the scenery matched. Located on the top level of the Doubletree hotel, this small rooftop restaurant was exactly what was needed to end a work day. The hostess was pleasant, even offering a change of seating to get the best view possible. Our waitress Maria was pleasant and fun even adding in her opinion of what was good or not. The drinks were good and they had a good variety of mixed drinks. The appetizers were the best for me. The grilled shrimp with mango and grilled watermelon. The burrata and tomato with toast and the buffalo chicken wings. The burger was cooked well and was good, but it wasn't giving me what I was hoping for. Honestly, it just needed more bleu cheese to balance the sweetness of the jam to be perfect. Overall, as long as the weather permits, it's worth a visit.

Amazing views and great drink selection! They offered blankets in case it got too chilly. The service was friendly and quick. Again; fantastic view of Cambridge and Boston.

Great views! The seating wasn't the most comfortable, but the view made up for it. I got a salad. It was fine - nothing special. The drinks were super strong, which I appreciated since I was on vacation. Service was a little slow but I've had much worse. I would never pick this place for the food, but the view and the convenience to my hotel made it a nice evening stop. 3 stars for the food and drinks + 1 for the view!

This restaurant/bar on the roof of the Doubletree Hotel on the Charles River in Boston/Brighton is spectacular. Evening hours only (5:00-11:00). Two friends and I went to dinner on a beautiful July evening and the view of the Charles River, Cambridge and Boston were breathtaking. We started with drinks: sauvignon blanc, cosmo and sparkling wine, delivered promptly. I had an Angus Beef Burger, medium rare, with french fries, cooked exactly to order. Friend 1 had a mixed greens salad with vinaigrette dressing, and Friend 2 had the same but with a crabcake on top. (The crabcake was a different menu option and not one of the advertised add-ons for the salad -- chicken, shrimp and salmon -- but our server didn't blink when she asked for it to be added. Extra points for flexibility!) We were all well satisfied! The tables were spaced such that you had some semblance of privacy. This is a hidden gem and I *will* be returning!
