"While most spots in Dallas only offer brunch on the weekend, Overeasy in the Statler hotel in Downtown is now offering it seven days a week. Choose from an array of breakfast sandwiches, migas, biscuits and gravy, and lemon ricotta pancakes with blueberry compote." - Courtney E. Smith

It's such a nice spot for breakfast. Loved all the design choices they made in the interior. The food is great, too!

If you stick to the basic diner greasy spoon food you’ll be fine. Burgers. Pancakes. Skillets. Skip the drinks and you’ll enjoy it. Get fancy and you may be slightly let down. Look at the pics. See the reviews. Make your judgement call. Flip side review: if you’re a Sonder or Statler Residences guest you can get a decent discount, bonus cash back if you use the upside receipt app.

Google
Overeasy is a great breakfast place. The staff is very attentive and friendly, the food is great, and the atmosphere is perfect to start the day. The coffee bar has good options and is very reasonably priced. They also have several creative non-alcoholic drink options that are very good. The food itself is great and fairly fast, especially considering how busy they were at the time. Whether you are staying at The Statler or not, you should definitely try Overeasy at least once!

Google
Dropped by Overeasy and ordered the patty melt…ended up disappointed. What they served was basically a plain beef patty tucked between toasted oat bread—far from the cheesy, juicy classic I was after. The service didn't help either. Felt pretty much overlooked, and getting a simple refill turned into a task. Was hoping for a better experience given the cool atmosphere of the place. Unfortunately, it was a letdown.

Google
Worse place ever in my life. Good was reheated old and nasty. Bad taste this is a $20 plate… what’s. Disaster. Do not come here!!!!!! Horrible

Google
The wait staff was terrible. The kitchen was on point with cooking but the fruit was inedible. I should have known better with the subdued lighting it wasn't actually a breakfast restaurant. The waiteres were way more worry about folding napkins and texting than filling water glasses or serving coffee WITHOUT grinds. And to be sure, the 5 stars are the terrible wait staff. They are the ones pictured in the reviews that are on staff.

Rachel Tierney

Google
the menu has great choice which makes it hard to decide what you want. I got the French toast and it was amazing. service was very good and lots of seats so no wait time. felt it was a bit on the expensive side but your full for ages and the food is amazing.

Google
Really disappointing visit which we were not expecting. Stayed at hotel and came here for breakfast. Service was very slow as was the entire breakfast service. It took forever to get the food and there were only 2 of us and our meals came out several minutes apart. Both of the meals were below average, we had avacado toast and chicken fried steak and eggs. Restaurant was busy and seemed understaffed.

Toria B.

Yelp
Good food. Service was a little slow. They provide chicken and pork sausage options. The pork sausage is delicious. But if you love lemon ricotta pancakes, get them here! The lemon curd and blueberry compote is perfection! I went on Mother's Day, but super cute ambiance inside of a beautiful hotel.

Rich R.

Yelp
Bla....disappointing at best First "stuffed French toast" is bullshit. More like bricks of fried bread with a tenth of an ounce of cream put at the tip. Should be called "just the tip toast" because that is all you are getting. So disappointing. The lemon ricotta pancakes were good but they looked like someone blew a lemon curd load on them.

Matthew V.

Yelp
Wasn't crowded, got seated right away.. Friendly staff.. I ordered the breakfast sandwich which was sausage, egg and cheese on a croissant . The sandwich was super huge!! The yogurt parfait was really good, I enjoyed it with a lot of honey on top gave it a nice touch.. Good experience and good breakfast spot.. Nice ambience, really chilled and not hectic.

Kelsey M.

Yelp
Very hoppin place! And adorable atmosphere I will say the service isn't friendly or happy. Not a smile or anything. Sooooooo that could improve. The avocado toast was soooo good and tons of food on the plate. Everyone finished their plates. And loved it!

Arthur P.

Yelp
I think Overeasy is a good place to have breakfast. Nestled in the middle of Downtown Dallas, it's overly easy "no pun intended" to pop inside for a quick bite. I usually park across the street at the park. The food is good and if you're coming in to do some work I think it's a great place for that as well. I went for a straightforward eggs, sausage and potatoes, with toast to kick off my morning and it was plentifully enough to get me going. Just a note, that the sausage is patty style compared to link style at other places so just remember that if that's a dealbreaker for you. I personally am a fan of both.

Yelp
Over Easy proved to be a quintessential all-American breakfast spot. The food pleasantly surprised me with its deliciousness, and a special shoutout to the waitress, Karina, who was incredibly nice and accommodating. Her service added a warm touch to the experience. I'll definitely be returning to enjoy another satisfying breakfast at Over Easy.

Gabe J.

Yelp
Food: Coffee & Pastry was delicious. Service: Great, quick and professional Ambiance: Modern and simple Pricing: moderate

Bianca L.

Yelp
The brisket hash was amazing!! Be sure to get it with hashies because they are extra crispy mixed in with the brisket and gives the meal what it needs! The serving size is great too (they give you a lot). Service was quick and we were seated immediately upon walking in.

Zuriel L.

Yelp
Came in on a Sunday afternoon - was greeted upon entry and sat at the bar. My server was attentive and helpful when it came to my dietary needs! Food came out super quick too and it was sooooo good! Chicken fried to perfection. Biscuits were a little too crispy for me but that's alright. GRAVY THO! Was bomb af. I ran out quick to make sure to get extra when you go! Inside was super chill - modern vibes. Definitely a place worth visiting for Brunch!

Angie B.

Yelp
The pancakes were great! Fluffy and delicious! My basic eggs were decent and one of my girls ordered the chilaquiles and they were decent. Overall this is a fine place to have brunch in downtown Dallas as the choices are few in this area. In my opinion, the price point didn't match the food but we did have a good morning here enjoying the shady outside table and the beautiful view.

John R.

Yelp
The stuffed French toast was very greasy and the coffee had no flavor. The pancakes were okay. Cool looking spot but most likely won't be going back.

James B.

Yelp
Not too busy when we went, and got seated down easily. The waitress Karina was super nice and friendly. The place is in downtown next to a park and we got seated in a booth next to the window with really great lighting. The salmon plate was extremely delicious and plated so beautifully. The pickled red onions really complimented the dish and added a sweet acidic tast to the salmon and the goat cheese was nice and held the whole bagel together.

Samavi A.

Yelp
Came here for a late brunch with a friend. This was located inside the Statler hotel. Very cute place and cozy inside. The food was typical diner food, wasn't that great or memorable. The service was great, however the day we came, it seems as though they had fans going off since the air wasn't working. This was a convenient stop to get some food since we were in the area.

Tamas S.

Yelp
I understand that it was one of the busiest weekends because of the eclipse... The waiting time wasn't crazy. We got a table for the three of us within 15 minutes. It was going down from there. Our waitress was inattentive the least. Missed to bring silverware for the one of us, missed items from the order when we finally got anything. Guests who were seated 10-15 minutes after as were already leaving by the time we received our food. The food was okay. Nothing exceptional.

Jared B.

Yelp
Excellent breakfast tacos! They have a great variety of tasty menu options! The service was very good too

Yelp
We had breakfast in Overeasy while we were visitng Dallas. We didn't rent a car so we decided to give Overeasy a try since it was where we were staying. Hostess seemed very uninterested for some reason. Service was pretty fast and good. Their coffee was alright for both me and my husband. I ordered chicken tenders biscuit and gravy. Chicken was over cooked and burned, it tasted bitter. Biscuits were soaked in fat, you can tell from the pictures. I couldn't eat anything for more than a bite or 2. Gravy was good but I wasn't going to eat gravy alone. Breakfast potatoes were bad. They looked and tasted stale. Pancakes were ok. I highly recommend checking out other good breakfast places. We are never going back.

Gary M.

Yelp
Well to start when you walk in there was a "person" at the front who asked us to sign in and had the lack of greeting that says why is she the first person you interact with in this restauraunt.. Somebody in management needs to talk to or remove her! She ouruns you to the table and it was not busy at the time. Moving on, great wait person Destiny. Power breakfast good. Plenty of fruit. Entrance through lobby. Outside seating. Nice atmosphere.

Lil Birdie N.

Yelp
Nice to have a spot open up early for breakfast right in the Statler. Latte price inconsistent. We were here for 3 nights. Ordered the same thing every morning got 3 different prices. Server is very rude each time.

Felicia H.

Yelp
I was going to give it a 1 star review but since I had such a great experience last time I'm going to do 2. To start, I chose this place because it's my birthday and last time was great. It all starts with me asking for a booth- the hostess refused. She then sat me at an uncomfortable tiny table and I decided to ask the manager if it would be a big deal to seat me in the booth. She was absolutely fine with it. I thought we'd move forward- but no. The gal decided to glare and not bring me lemons. They then didn't bring me my margarita until the manager checked on me I asked her if she could bring me my drink that had been sitting. Last time the fruit was so ripe and fresh- I was looking forward to it- not this time. There was still part of the outside of the pineapple on most of the fruit, the strawberries definitely need to be tossed along with the blueberries. So sad. Happy Birthday

Vismaya H.

Yelp
Environment was cool, coffee was good, food has cool variety, but service not so much. The food was amazing on the bright side. it I'm not sure if it was the manager or what but went up to the hostess stand to ask when a table for 2 would be ready: "how long of a wait" and she wouldn't even make eye contact and just said don't know and kept doing what she was doing. The real hostess was nice but if that's the manager she should fix the customer service!! also, our server did not check up on us, or be enthusiastic or welcoming whatsoever.

Ted G.

Yelp
Do yourself a favor and make reservations. This is a great breakfast spot, but prepare to expect an extensive wait, however you can always order an Irish coffee to sip on while you wait for a table. Hell, why not make an experience out of your visit? But do yourself a favor and don't expect to be called to pick up your coffee when its ready, they seem to prefer to let the customer figure that out on their own. The breakfast tacos are excellent and very filling, the salsa on the side is a nice touch. Fresh fruit is definitely fresh and if you're looking for pulp free OJ, they only serve freshly squeezed, so no pulp free OJ. I love the menu and the fact they also have outdoor seating. Everything is great, minus the wait and the failure to the let the customer know when coffee orders are ready. Cheers!

Yelp
I would like to leave a 5-star review for The Statler Overeasy. From the moment we arrived, Karina, our server, promptly seated us and took our order. The food arrived quickly and was served warm. I ordered chilaquiles, and the aroma of the various ingredients on my plate was delightful. With the first bite, I was transported back to memories of my mom's cooking. I was so impressed that I had to personally express my gratitude to the chef. The quality of the food was exceptional. I wholeheartedly recommend trying their delicious dishes. The experience was beyond my expectations.

Ken P.

Yelp
Whatever they did they need to change it back!!! The pancakes are horrible, they changed the recipe. The syrup was switched out for some cheap brand that taste of high fructose corn syrup. The pancakes used to be thin and were like CRACK!! You had to come back for more. Now they are like fat, dry pieces of sponge. The bacon is pre soaked in oil from a lot of other bacon. Naw Naw Naw. What happened? Why you drop the quality of your food. I'm so disappointed! Two stars for the awesome service.

Tammi J.

Yelp
Had breakfast at Overeasy with my friends this morning and thought the food was really good. Everyone had a different kind of omelette with breakfast meat and it was good. Sweet potato fries were PERFECT. The right size and fried just right with a hint of salt. The biscuit was like cake in your mouth. Really good as well. You must try it. The coffee was just ok. Nothing to jump up about

Steph W.

Yelp
We arrived at 11:30am and had to wait 30 min to get seated for a party of 6. From the time we were seated and our food was served, it took one full hour. I ordered the short ribs hash. The food itself was pretty good but the wait and service definitely put a damper on my experience.

Jeff R.

Yelp
Food is mostly good. Chilaquiles service was very small. Hidden service fees were annoying. Waitress was very nice.

Marion H.

Yelp
Sooo Overeasy is nothing special to report. Basic breakfast spot. The wait was long only due to the staff not seating people quickly. I had to get someone to start seating people as there were plenty of tables open. The bar in the waiting area is useful to get your mimosas started while tables open up. Meh I won't be back, there are other spots with a more exciting menu. What was ordered: Chicken & Gravy / Scrambled Eggs Chicken & Gravy = Gravy was tasty Scrambled Eggs = Add some pepper & salt

Art D.

Yelp
Overall not bad. I visited on a Sunday for brunch and it was about a 20min wait or so. The parking is on the street and metered. There is valet parking at the hotel that it is connected too. While waiting you can purchase a cup a coffee and sit either inside the restaurant on in the hotel lobby and wait. It does make the time go faster. Overall the customer services was okay not the greatest just okay. The food was pretty good. I had the pancakes and they are thick. It comes with 3 and two people can eat on the 3. We did have a mimosa and it was pretty good. Overall good experience and would recommend. I will visit again. Now for eye candy. The place is not really set up that way and it more for bringing your candy with you.

Vince T.

Yelp
Way overpriced for the scant quality and quantity of food. All the dishes look over cooked and appeared haphazardly thrown together, like something a teenage would throw together. The fruit cup was full of moldy, rotten fruits. The service also sucked. For a place that tries to pass itself off as upscale and classy, the food sure doesn't reflect that.

Syre W.

Yelp
very good food, had a great experience with the staff and the head chef was amazing. The stuffed French toast was immaculate. i don't think I've ever had a breakfast quite like this.

Andrea C.

Yelp
Food was really good. I'm just glad that only my server, Emily, had a handle on my dish. Employees eating during shift isn't a big deal to me. However, when they don't wash their hands or put gloves on the actual hand that went near/in your mouth is a problem.

Carley B.

Yelp
We just had the worst service imaginable. Our server, Devon, was extremely rude. The food was meh, and the amount fees tacked onto the check was unreal! Skip this one--nothing about it was Overeasy. Overly hard for our waitress to even split the checks. Not a way to start the day. It's aesthetically pleasing unless you're eating.

Lady A.

Yelp
This was a nice place and the setting and the ambience was quite nice. I don't usually dine inside of hotels. But this was a nice place and the people were nice. We only had about a 20 minute wait for a table. There isn't a whole lot of seating available and the outside patio area is not that big. They do allow dogs on the outdoor patio. They have booths and tables and bar seating. The drink menu is pretty large and they have a few coffee options. I think they have a decent selection for breakfast and lunch. I had an iced Americano with some vanilla syrup and the rib hash. The meat was tender and delicious and flavorful. The potatoes were well cooked and soft. The over easy eggs were done pretty decently in my opinion. The other person that I was with had the easy living plate and wall that is a simple dish they did enjoy it. I will have to check them out again and try the pancakes or some thing from the lunch menu in order to get a good fuel of their food. But this particular outing was a hit and successful and I will be back at some point.

Mi B.

Yelp
My server, Destiny, was amazing. So, let's start with that. She was friendly, accommodating and just made me feel like she had it all covered. I also like the outdoor seating. The food left a lot to be desired. I ordered an egg white omelet with tomato, mushrooms, cheese and spinach. Instead they have me a runny egg concoction with kale instead of spinach, and little to no cheese. The fries tasted artificial and the fruit bowl was ok. I'm just visiting Dallas, so I'll likely not be back.

Eugenia H.

Yelp
I had an opportunity to order the biscuits and gravy. I must say it was really good and a good portion of food. But their mimosas was are my favorite.

Shremp V.

Yelp
This spot has a old school setup so it's small but the food is outstanding. The biscuits alone made it worth the trip. Service was great also, was very quick even with the crowd. We definitely plan on going back.

Nina C.

Yelp
Solid breakfast choice. Had an 8:30am reservation on a Thursday. Not many people were there but it was packed by the time we left. Liked the aesthetic. We were seated at a booth near the window so it led to great people-watching when the rain started down pouring.

Beau H.

Yelp
AMANDA was absolutely phenomenal here as the floor manager. From the time we sat down we got the best foods, The breakfast tacos were so phenomenal that I had them the next day. Thank you to the Stattler Hotel for hiring such fantastic people to give us a sense of home as we travel again. I look forward to Taking It Easy with you again.

Mary M.

Yelp
Monday "brunch" at 11:00am. Walked in, and was greeted by a friendly hostess with a smile on her face. Took us to a large booth by the windows. Our wait person, Jennifer, came up and greeted us with a smile as well. She went over some items on the menu when we asked and took our order. The food was great as well as the atmosphere. She continue to check in on us for beverage refills. It was a very great meal and would definitely go back. Thank you Jennifer for your wonderful hospitality.

Dornella C.

Yelp
I had some parking time leftover in a nearby lot from the night before, so I decided to drop in for breakfast. The restaurant is a cute little spot nestled in the Statler hotel. The hostess took my name down on a sheet of paper and then sat me. You have to scan a QR code to view the menu, so there's no menu pic for this one yall! The menu layout was simple and easy to use. They have a pretty good variety of breakfast items so there's something for everyone and any mood you're in. I ordered a mimosa which was pretty big and only $6! The one on their menu is $10, so just ask for a regular mimosa if you go. For food I ordered the Short Rib Hash which was super cute! It was definitely lacking in flavor though and was giving me a more "roast with over easy eggs" vibe. It could use some seasoning for sure. However it was hot and fresh, and the server offered me hot sauce when she came over to check on me. The bowl may look small, but this meal was super hearty! Overall the place was very chill, not too busy and the food was just okay. The mimosa was the best part of my meal. I'd come back again and try something a bit healthier.

Aztro R.

Yelp
food was not good at all ordered avocado toast to go, waited like 25 mins & was saugy and avo was brownish. not worth the price & just don't recommend

Esmeralda G.

Yelp
servers were rude, they didn't check on us not once, only the manager did so props to him. They also took 10 minutes to pick up our check until an older lady with glasses said we had to get up and pay ..... no one else but us had to do that... I'm a server myself so I know what good service looks like and that wasn't it. The food did come out fast tho :)

Semina B.

Yelp
If I could go back right now, I would. Overeasy was cozy, modern, and overall had a nice calming breakfast vibe. If you come by yourself or another person you may get seated at the long table where you are elbow to elbow with other guests. This didn't really bother me, but unless you are a booth only type person then keep this in mind. It was a Sunday morning so there was about a 15 minute wait, but the host seated people pretty quick. We didn't order anything out of the ordinary, just your typical breakfast food. I regret now not ordering more, especially something sweet. I guess there is always next time. Bonus: A nice backdrop for an Instagram worthy photo.

Nicola H.

Yelp
Yikes. Awful service, especially the hostess, when you walk in there, she just ignores you. Is very rude. Definitely seems like she would rather be anywhere, but there. I would definitely look for another breakfast place if you're staying at the stadler. Food, overpriced, not necessarily bad but definitely not good at all. We ate in the restaurant on Saturday. Busy, but poor service. Good food. Not great, but good. Got breakfast to go Sunday, and it was disgusting, i just paid $50.00 for 2 people to eat, and I'm throwing it in the trash. The salmon and bagel was just thrown in a box, my eggs are all watery and gross. I would not recommend this place, and i will not be back, ever.

Taryn R.

Yelp
Stayed at the Statler, tried to make reservations but no one would answer, placed a to-go order and went down to get it around 9:30 and no one was even there so I have no idea why they couldn't take our reservation. It was overall pretty lame. I guess Overeasy would be good if you're desperate and short on time.

Laura L.

Yelp
This is a cute little breakfast spot located inside a hotel - we almost missed it because of that. They have a convenient carry out counter where they do coffee and pastries and a delicious breakfast menu to choose from. They have indoor dining and service was great

Bridget T.

Yelp
Super swanky, friendly staff, excellent food! Big portions! The mimosa was excellent. Clean and quick service. Ask for Destinee as your server, she was very friendly and prompt! They just revamped the kitchen staff and have really stepped it up! 5 stars-recommend!

Noesh H.

Yelp
One of the best brunch places in Dallas! The food was incredible, you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. I highly recommend the chicken & biscuits. It was really filing and flavorful. Customer service was impeccable. Our server was so nice and attentive. The ambiance was a mix of classic and modern. It was walking distance from our hotel and super convenient! Great place to lounge at or even have a coffee.

Mariah B.

Yelp
This spot is located in the lobby of a hotel (that doesn't look like a hotel), so the main entrance is through the lobby. We walked here for breakfast on a Saturday morning from the Farmers Market area which was very close by. They do have a communal table down the middle which is where we sat. Our food came out extremely quick - mine the short rib hash, my friend's the easy living (basic) breakfast. I did take one star off because the service could have been better. Our waitress came around when we first got our food to bring hot sauce and jam, but didn't check on us again while we were eating or bring refills until we were done with our food. Other than that the food was really good and the place did get crowded the later it got. I would definitely go back next time I'm in Dallas.

David S.

Yelp
I rather liked this place. Rather comprehensive menu that had some more fancy dishes but I went for the simple scrambled eggs and bacon. They gave me a pancake instead of toast, which was very appreciated. All of it was tasty. The waitress was fantastic in friendliness, helpfulness and quality. I would definitely come here again.
