Owen + Alchemy

Past reviews are incorrect - O+A juiced off premises for a limited time when they opened, and now they juice everything on premises. Their aesthetic is insanely well-crafted throughout the entire experience - uniform, packaging, product design, and interior. the juices themselves are the best, highest quality cold-pressed juices I've ever drank - and I've tried many. They maintain very high standards and it shows brightly. I went in with a sore throat, asked the service rep. on staff what he would recommend, bought and drank his recommendation, and got better the next day. I'm not a doctor, but that ginger shot was, although very intense (especially for someone that dislikes spicy foods), extremely effective. My sore throat was gone the next morning and my congestion went away by the afternoon. I've never had a sore throat disappear so quickly. Yes, anyone sells ginger, but you just can't beat that service. Their salads and bowls are also exquisitely crafted either to order, or morning of, and are very, very delicious and filling. I couldn't finish the bowl in one sitting, but I am sure it would be enough if I was doing gains. I've been going here at least once every fortnight and I will not stop going.

It's a cute little place with some cute bottles of juice. Unlike most juice bars I've been to, nothing is actually juiced here. It's all been prepared and you buy the bottles, even the shots. It's pricey and I wouldn't come here often but it's something I would splurge on maybe once a month. I can't really say that there's any reason to come here compared to any other juice bar given the pries -- unless you really like the bottles.

Owen + Alchemy treads the fine line between aggressively trendy and obnoxiously pretentious. Their alchemy-inspired motif reeks of pseudoscience, but at its core O+A serves delicious juice with excellently sourced ingredients. While you may not be cleansed or purified, you will have an extremely healthy and delicious beverage. The price is steep ($11 for 16oz? $5 for 2oz shot of ginger?), but if you can stomach the price, your body will thank you.

Tactful occult Aestetic caught my eye on Instagram eight months ago and today I finally got to sample these amazing juices! The person behind the counter was more than willing to hook up the samples. Everything was jam packed with produce but tasted phenomenal. Too often cold pressed juice is often too much of a chore to drink. Really wishing I could have these juices in brooklyn!!

It's a good way to splurge every now and then on something healthy. I was expecting for things to be juiced on the spot, but that isn't done here. You make your order at the counter and are handed a bottle of whatever juice you request. Even the shots are served in tiny glass bottles. As a result the prices are a bit extreme. Not to say that you aren't getting what you paid for, it's just that $9-11 a bottle of juice isn't exactly something I could do often. If juices are your thing though it is a good enough place to stop by.

WOW. Come here. Immediately. I should just leave it at that... but I'm too wordy. These guys have NAILED it. From the interior design, to the branding, to the packaging, and most importantly, the amazing juice and staff, I'm talking perfection. Worth every penny. I wish I lived next door.

I adore this place. There herbal formulas are amazing and truly based on ancient knowledge in health. I visit every time I visit Chicago!!!
