OYO should be turned down. Way past its usefulness. The rooms are old, the toilet was leaking all night and it was hard to sleep no morning coffee ANYWHERE, the front desk staff are cold. PLUSES: decent pillows, pool not crowded, room rates and drink prices less than the nice hotels on the strip. Would not recommend to family or friends

A list of things that were just off for this hotel: - Caulk job done very badly around the sink area - Mirror frame had pieces torn off and badly damaged - Lamps were out dated and had to be turned on the old fashion way by looking for the tiny knob next to the light bulb - No complimentary glasses or cups for brushing your teeth - Glass piece on top of the furniture like shelves were just trying to hide the badly damaged wood beneath it - Chairs looked like they're from an old church meeting - Tiny shelf next to the beds. Had lamp and phone on it, no outlets to charge more than 1 item - Elevators were tiny and why do they have a person sitting in it to press the buttons for probably 8 hours a day as their shift. It's hot in there! Just why?! - Water pressure in the shower was fine. Except when you turned on the cold water to cool down the hot water, it was just cold water. So had to turn off the cold water almost all the way to get proper temperature water that wouldn't burn myself - Beds were comfy. Not too soft or firm. No bedbugs! - Resort fee for 2 nights was $102, for a rundown, grungy hotel, this was "cheap" - $300 deposit to cover room damages takes up to 30 days to returned. So many signs on the front desk with this policy - Hooters wings were still good. Kitchen will be a little slow but they were good!

The staff were absolutely friendly and very helpful! The room was adequate, needed a bit of work, but was fine. The lift was very slow and only one worked and was oddly manned with someone sitting in a chair. ||But the location is good with the monorail across the street at MGM Grand making it easy to get to the other side of the strip.

RUN FROM THIS HOTEL!!!! There is a charge for everything!!!!!! If want the Vegas experience stay at a different hotel!! We stayed here with friends for a birthday. The first thing is they said it would be an extra $30 to check in a couple hours early when no one else in our group was charged and were able to check in early. Rooms are out dated. Yellow water came out of the faucet in the tub. Shower head so clogged the water was coming out as a trickle. But also coming out of the faucet as well. They do not allow you to bring any outside drinks to the pool. Only drinks bought from the bar at the pool are allowed. $12 for a shot of crown. Ridiculous. $10-$12 more and you can buy a whole bottle. Parking is just as ridiculous $10 for three hours they charge you every time you leave and come back. The guy doing the elevator is ignorant and rude. Waiting 20 minutes to go to the lobby is ridiculous. They only had one elevator working. The air conditioner barely worked. We had to constantly turn it off as it was so old it couldn’t keep up. Rooms do not come with a fridge or microwave or coffee pot unless you “upgrade” for an extra $10 per day. I will never stay at this hotel again.

Rooms did not look like the photos. Bathroom was rough and dated. Staff (especially the woman at check in on Friday, July 25 nighttime) was so nasty and unhelpful. We asked for water (which is the only perk that’s part of the ridiculous $100 resort fee) and she was so nasty about getting us water and placed in on the counter 15 feet away and didn’t say anything. The only good thing about this place was the nice clean pool, the 24/7 steak and shake, hooters and bar. Would not go back and would not recommend.

Stayed here in July 2025 and found this place to be old and run-down. Poor maintenance throughout the hotel in public areas and in guest rooms. Only 1 working elevator for a 19 story hotel and it is a tiny elevator. The toilet in my room would not flush so couldn't use it and the shower would not drain so standing in soapy water. The mattress was horrific completely broken down in the middle. Poor working air-conditioning this being July in Las Vegas. This was all reported and told they could not move me to another room. How can you expect to keep guests in a hotel room without a working toilet is beyond me. After waiting for maintenance for couple hours I complained again and now they were able to move me to another room, wonder how that happened, Second room was only slightly better and shower did not drain properly here either.

Called and made a reservation on a Thursday for a Friday check in and out Sunday. Have all my info, CC, name (obviously) address, phone number and email address. Price was supposed to be about $168 with all taxes and fees. Called the next day due to not getting email confirmation and was told i had no reservation. Asked for a supervisor and took about 7 calls and transfers/being disconnected to reach one. The front desk supervisor said there was nothing she could do and that it probably wasn’t confirmed, then asked if i had the room under my name. I asked what happened with all my information and she said she doesn’t know and can’t do anything for me but i could book a room online. She could care less i gave out all my info to some call center in India (i was told Indian investors bought the property). She also said she would not honor the price given and the price online now was the price i had to pay. This was great news as i was driving to Vegas. As for the hotel, basic room on 14th floor with only 1 working elevator that was constantly busy and full of people. Slots are horrifically tight and bonuses paid just over 15 X bet on average. Would not recommend to stay here unless on really tight budget and no other choices

We stayed at this hotel for the weekend with my husband, and just one hour after checking in, we received a $500 fine due to a smoke alert. The hotel immediately assumed we had been smoking some kind of cigarette in the room, which was completely false. I went to the front desk to dispute the charge, and the staff was not helpful at all. Their only response was that I should call my bank and dispute the transaction because there was nothing they could do — which I find TERRIBLE. Before issuing such a fine, they should verify the cause of the alert properly. The room didn’t even have a fridge or any place to store drinks. Most of the elevators were out of order, which caused long wait times whenever you needed to use one. We were staying on the 5th floor, and the ice machine there wasn’t working either. The lobby and casino area reeked of cigarette smoke the moment we walked in. It was a completely unpleasant experience. I do not recommend this place at all. Don’t waste your time, money, or energy on a hotel of this quality.

Yelp
Really shouldn't charge for parking, or at least validate for gamblers/diners or provide 1st 3 hours free like Wynn Used to come in for cheap gamble/food. $18 parking just to come in is a high barrier to entry, especially for such a low-end joint. Oh well, another nice thing gone from Vegas due to greed.

Yelp
Staying here was a HUGE mistake. The google reviews are misleading. When we first checked in I overheard two desk employees say "oh shit, we're overbooked by more than 20 rooms." To which the other person said "brace yourself for a lot of pissed off people tonight." We get checked in and up to our room, the heater is on full blast, both beds unmade, trash all over the room, used dirty towels all over the bathroom floor and one was covered in blood. On top of that, we had an adjoining room where our side of the door was stuck open and couldn't lock. So whoever had the room on the other side would have had access to all our belongings while we were out. So we went back to the SINGLE elevator and had to wait 30 minutes until we could get a ride back down to the lobby to kindly ask to be switched rooms. That's when we were told they were all sold out and couldn't accommodate a switch for us. After about 15 minutes of conversation with the employee they called a manager over (Ramsey) who immediately changed our room. We waited another 20 minutes for an elevator and finally dropped our bags in a clean room. On top of the first room being disgusting, the insane wait for an elevator and incompetent/rude front desk employees, I discovered that no one answers ANY phone line in the hotel. No front desk, no security, no operator, housekeeping, room service NOTHING. I even tried to google the front desks phone number and call from my cell phone and it just rang for 10 minutes before I gave up. The casino is tiny, the floors are nasty throughout and your only options for food are hooters and steak & shake which both looked like they should be quarantined. The only redeeming part of the entire experience was how close it was to a REAL strip hotel, the MGM. After all this (and more issues like the ac in the room just not working as well as no coffee pot, no lotions and the shampoo/conditioner & body wash in the shower all being empty.) When we checked out we were in line with 6 other couples that were all demanding our resort fees be refunded. The desk employees told us all that there wasn't a manager on then told us all different times to come back to speak to a manager. One was told 3pm, two were told 6pm, one was told 4pm and we were told 2pm. We all banded together and agreed to come back at 2pm. When we came back the "manager" told us that she was only able to return ONE of our resort fees and to "take it up with customer service if you want your other." Then turned around and walked away while I was mid sentence asking how to get ahold of customer service. If I could give this hotel ZERO stars I would. NEVER staying here again, and you shouldn't either.

Yelp
I've had better bowel movements than stays at this hotel. They're down to one elevator, & have a surly midget sat in there on a regular chair, to press buttons for people as apparently... buttons are hard & taking up yet more space in the single elevator available is cool. Dilapidated. Terrible AC. The casino floor resembles a prison cantina, with the smells to match. & they have the balls to stiff you with the "$51 resort fee" for that sweet fraudulent Extra profit. Only stayed here due to my regular being totally booked out. My pain is your gain.

Yelp
*** This review is only for the casino! **** The casino is awesome and a great place to spend the day gambling! They have $1.00 tables and $5 craps tables and their slots pay out! We visited this place while staying at MGM across the street and so glad we did! The dealers were awesome, fun and friendly and helped you learn the games! All of them had experience and most of them work at other Casinos on the strip as well. Aurieo was awesome and he was a great dealer! At the Craps table Stephen was awesome and attentive and helped us have a great time! We won over $500.00 here playing slots, blackjack and craps! It was a great time for those of you who are on a budget and want to either learn to play or play and want to keep the bets to a minimum. There was a few locals who say they go there because the same thing mentioned above with the fun dealers and great prices!

Yelp
This is just for the casino since I have not stayed or looked at any of their rooms but, I played a few slots and won money every time! I also tried my hand a black jack for the first time since it was only $1 to play and it was fun. The drinks are good and we met a lot of cool relaxed guest. We played the liquid game and won a shot glass , extra credits and a free night stay.

Yelp
I was staying overnight on Saturday in Vegas for business not pleasure. I didn't want to spend much money so I went through my credit card points and it had the OYO as a three star hotel and casino. I used my points but I had to pay $50. Upon arrival they added a $300 deposit which I was not informed before making my reservations. I was in a rush to book and I made the mistake of not looking at any reviews(my bad!). And I couldn't cancel because it was non refundable and I would lose my money (credits) of $125. Warning!! This place is extremely dirty. The carpets in the casino lobby are stained so that was the precursor to my room. My room was very plain. The bathroom floor was extremely dirty, the carpet was also stained I asked for a non smoking unit but it had a slight smell of marijuana and a chemical. The a/c unit was rusted too. As I tried to sleep I constantly heard people walking up and down the hallway making quite the ruckus. Also the elevators were out and I had to use a service elevator to access my room. I didn't complain because I knew this place was a dump and my complaint would be ignored. When I registered I saw another person complaining and it appeared they were not helping them. This should be advertised a one Star hotel. This place may be tolerable for a college twenty year old but I'm in my fifties. I highly do not recommend this place. I hate to say this but avoid this place if you can.

Yelp
Ok let's start with the initial walk in. This location is about 3/4 of a mile from the strip. I walked in around 1:30 pm and the concierge checked me in and got me to my room. Great for a first time experience. So the casino had tons of games a Hooters, Steak n Shake, and few other restaurants. The room was in better condition than the previous 4star hotel room I stayed in. The room itself was clean, well lit, but no coffee maker or fridge. The price on this place was phenomenal. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The location was exactly where I was looking for. I you limit your expectations this establishment it's great. I would highly recommend.

Yelp
Came here to warch. The King of Diamonds, Neil Diamond tribute, Good shows and food and games but surprisingly no free parking at all. Not the 3hr free waiver for locals like the other hotels offer or free validation for military or veterans. Not even validation from the restaurants if you eat there.

Yelp
Do NOT stay here !!! Yes it's cheap. But this hotel shouldn't even be in operation. Only one elevator was working. and to use it you had to wait in a long line. . Had to take 4 flights of stairs to get to my room. I am not one to complain but this was outrageous. It was a busy weekend and I had no choice but to stay as all other hotels were very pricey for the next two nights. . I went to the front desk to let them know that the bathroom had rust all around the toilet bowl and shower. The shower was dirty. Paint on the walls were peeling off. They took off 50.00 for the resort fee for one night.. but still charged 50 for the next night. . There's nothing about the place that triggers a resort fee. The casino floor was ok. Dealers were very friendly. Other than that. I'm shocked how a hotel could operate with only one elevator. There would be a line of approx 25 people waiting to get in. Inexcusable. lesson learned. Stay away

Yelp
Be careful, they are trying to get customers through AirBnB by advertising $95 rooms, and they do not mention the $300 hotel deposit, daily $50 resort fee, or the smoking scam they seem to charge every guest. Thanks to my fellow Yelpers, I dodged a bullet! And I'm giving 1 star because I like full disclosure upfront about fees when I book a room! Addendum: Vincent, do you clearly note you charge $300 for a deposit on your hotel website?

Yelp
This hotel is a JOKE. Do not stay here! No notice of the elevators broken in advance. We check-in at the front desk and the first thing they say is "do you want to cancel your reservation? or is it okay if you take the service elevator?". They didn't offer a discount or any compensation for this MAJOR inconvenience. The service elevator was in a room with NO AIR CONDITIONING and the line took 20+ minutes as only 6 guests could be in the elevator at a time. To avoid the line, we mostly took the stairs to our room on the 6th floor. However, many others were unlucky to stay on double-digit floors! What a pain. These stairs were also NEVER CLEANED. Everyday, we'd walk up and down. The same trash, cigarettes, and soda spills would be on the ground. SO GROSS. And of course... the stairwell had NO AIR CONDITIONING too. FYI: the service elevator buttons didn't even work on the 6th floor. They were LITERALLY ripped out of the wall with wires hanging. So if I wanted to use the servic elevator from my floor, I couldn't even do that. The cherry on top? The lack of bag services. You have no options to keep your luggages at the hotel! No storage at all for guests is insane. The idea of lugging my bags around The Strip because of this hotel is really frustrating.

Yelp
We stayed here three nights. Front Desk service is not bad, but we have to really do not come. Cannot recommend the place in the three nights we stayed even when we asked, and we went there to the front desk and told them that our rooms have not been cleaned in the three nights nobody cared. They didn't make our beds they didn't clean the bathroom. They didn't give us fresh towels. We had to call and ask for fresh towels and they brought us on the second night. We even said that the bathtub was backed up and it was not being able to take the water out the first day and they never went over to take care of it. I am attaching photos of the dirtiness and condition of the bathroom

Yelp
OYO can be found on Tropicana, off of Las Vegas blvd, across the street from MGM. They have lots of parking spots in the open. As of recently (last few months), they've begun to start charging for parking. The parking garage is available too with TIGHT parking spots. Unsure if they charge for parking in the structure. Being a local, I like to show all the casinos love from time to time. OYO offers lots of promotions to get you to visit. From slot tournaments where you can earn free slot play & prizes, to hotel & food discounts. This hotel & casino is older. Previously, Hooters. You can tell by a lot of the decor. It feels SO dark inside. Not a lot of smiling/welcoming faces anywhere in the building in the visits I've had. Few and far between. I've been at the cashier, and they don't acknowledge you when you arrive. Just keep speaking to co-workers, even if they see you. Not to mention speaking a foreign language in front of customers who don't understand it. It's happened on more than one occasion while at the cashier cage. It's uncomfortable, unsure if they are speaking about you or not. The casino has an assortment of slot machines. I've never won more than a few hundred dollars when I have played there. Few and far between leaving the casino a winner or at least feeling like one. I do like that they have $5 craps table and the dealers are willing to teach you how to play table games. The rooms and housekeeping need to step it up. Bathroom toilets not working in the community areas. Taking advantage of a room special, I thought I should check it out to see what everyone had talked about. Man, not all the elevators work so you get a pile up of people waiting just to stuff as many as you can because of the delay for elevators. Not all of the room was clean. Looks like it got a partial cleaning. Much of the hotel and rooms smell like smoke which is VERY unappealing. The rates may be good to stay because you're within walking distance of the strip. However, do your research to see if you're good with the hotel and what it has to offer. DEFINITELY read reviews before booking/staying.

Yelp
We checked in yesterday.. TWO THUMBS DOWN! This place needs to be gutted or torn down immediately! I gave them one star because 0 wasn't an option. Ambience and decor HORRIBLE! It's very dirty! Lights in the room wasn't working. Tv was on when I walked in the room, I thought someone was already occupying the room. When I booked resort fees were NEVER mentioned until check in. I could've spent my money in a better hotel. Only ONE elevator work in this hotel. You had to push up to get on the elevator to go down otherwise it would be too crowded to get on by the time the elevator reached your floor. The paramedics had to wait a while to get a patient on because it was too crowded. I WILL NEVER RETURN HERE NOR RECOMMEND THIS PLACE! TEAR THIS PLACE DOWN NOW!!!!

Yelp
Worst fucken hotel ever should be taken down , let's start by when I booked it I was charged 150 for a king bedroom poolside view we arrived here got charged 300 for deposit and 50 each day for waters in room (only 2 Niagara waters) asked for more never got them, we arrived Friday evening and check out Sunday 11 am and got charged 401 plus 150 when I booked on top of that parking , 20 dollars each day ! Elevators don't work we had to take stairs seven floors up one elevator able for the whole hotel so expect to wait in line for a whileeeeeee. Actual bedrooms aren't even nice we supposedly got a room with poolside view all we got was a view of the hotel roof . Employees are useless . Stay anywhere else but here and if you booked good luck on canceling they charge 95 . Demolish it at that point !

Yelp
Save yourself some time and money and just stay at a motel 6. This place makes the motel 6 appear like a 5 star resort. Air conditioning/heater did not work. Only 4 channels came in on the tv. Bars were understaffed/closed. The elevator/stair situation is a complete safety hazard. How the fire Marshall's allow them to stay open is beyond me. Not to mention having to pay $20 a night to even park your vehicle. Employees are incredibly rude. Will NEVER be back.

Ray R.

Yelp
Should change its name to O NO. What a crap hole. Elevators don't work . No hot water . Tv doesn't work . My bathtub has rust holes on it. Balcony door lock didn't work . And on top of that , they extorted more money from me upon check in . Even though I rebooked and payed through red tag . Which I will be fighting . I hope this review makes you lose 10X the business you crooks got from me .

Yelp
I mean dollar blackjack what do you really expect in Vegas. The hotel was clean but dated. The service was nice but slow. The dealer even had a hint of sarcasm which I love that type of humor. I did not stay there i went only for the blackjack because im fairly new and didn't want to lose a bunch of money. This place did the job and I would be back only to play, definitely not to stay.
google avatar

Beau C.

Yelp
When I recommend OYO it is mainly for the $1 blackjack and $5 craps, don't think I would actually stay there. Plus they have started to charge for parking. Dealers are super fun but if you want a cocktail...good luck. Played for four hours and server cam by once and will only give you one drink. For $20 you can play for hours, so yeah, cheap & fun.

Yelp
Terrible experience at this hotel. Charged our room a $500 smoking fee when we did not smoke. We tried to talk to them and let them know we turned on the room heater which produced a horrible burning smell. Management refused to discuss this issue with us and produced a fake "reading" from a smoke detector. Did the same thing with the room across the hall from us. Will never stay here again.

Yelp
Checked in 10/25 went to the room that in total with parking was 500 for 2 nights. The shower was clogged and not draining. The bathroom floor was filthy and hair everywhere. The tables were not cleaned. I took a wet napkin and took some samples. I went to the front desk after spending 30 minutes cleaning the room. He said we have to move rooms now. He said " it's not my fault " . I travel pretty often and this was the dirtiest hotel room I've ever seen in my life. We pack up and move down the hallway to a room with more hair on the ground. A lamp it doesn't work the TV doesn't work. The blow dryer is broken and won't shut off unless you unplug it . You turn it on it smells like burnt hair. There needs to be something done about this. No one should be paying this much to stay in other peoples filth. .. The elevators are broken and the staff sits in a folding chair and pushes buttons for you, but if you're at the top and going down, he pushes every button on the way down regardless if there's anybody there or not, you can imagine this takes an ridiculous amount of time and all of the guests are chattering about how weird it is.

Yelp
TLDR: Awful Customer Service, Awful handling of rooms, Awful rooms. My stay ranged from 01/22/25 - 01/25/25 (3 nights) I booked on Priceline, day of, for a 3 day emergency visit for a family emergency in Henderson. Saw the 3.5 star rating (Did you know that hotels rate themselves on their star rating? (google it. ;) now you know) thought the 63 a night rate would be great for a place to crash. I'm not high maintenance by any means, but the family emergency made me not want to be a burden on my family member, so I decided to find something outside of their home. The OYO was 15 minutes away from my family member's house. I arrived at around 12:30 PM, and was booked for 3 nights. I was made to wait (I was the only one at the registration desk) for 20 minutes to check in, and between 7 minute pauses where the registration person was checking on their computer, they kept looking up at me, and saying "One moment sir, this will just take a moment". They said this two times to me. When I was asking if they needed my Priceline confirmation number (I had also paid previously as well) they said they had it.... So.... I don't understand why the long wait. They stated that they could put me in a smoking room (Run of the house) and I said that I would much prefer a non-smoking room. They said Okay, They finally gave me Room 216. Enter picture #1 Below of the hall way for this bank of rooms, which stayed like this for 3 days with no change. After getting to my room, the heater (no temperature indicator other than a sticker from red (hot) to blue (cooler)) was going, and was SO LOUD. I thought "There's no way I can sleep through this" and I turned it off, and bundled up for the night. I crashed and didn't take much attention to the room, other than the room felt a little uneven. Pillows were a little more firm than I wanted. Sheets seemed stiff. I woke up in the morning, and decided to take a shower. That's when I noticed hair all over the shower. The caulk separating from the edges of the shower surround, which caught additional hair. (see image #2, which I'll get to a little later because I actually took that picture on morning 2.) I started to get a little bothered by the condition of the hotel, for it being a 3.5 star rated (on Priceline) and thought it should have been up-kept a little more. It seemed at that time, like housekeeping probably never wiped down, or cleaned the shower for likely SEVERAL WEEKS. Anyways, I had to go see family, so I left. I had paid for parking that night (basically 20.00 per night) and I was kicking myself for not including that in the price of my "budget stay" because I likely would have ended up somewhere else. I came back end of day 2 (for night 2) and had put the little "do not disturb" tag on my door, and so my room was as I had left it. (The hallway as well, with all the housekeeping bags. See image #1 again if you need a reminder) I wake up, and become more disgusted with the room condition (scratchy towels, too old toilet seat with marks that you can't determine if they're dirty, or just marked up, etc.) and I go to take another shower. Which I determine at this point, likely hasn't been cleaned in multiple guest stays. WHEN THE KNOB FALLS OFF the hot water side, and lands in the tub (That's what's going on in Photo #1). I stick it back on, and think that there's no way I'm going to let them know, because they seem like the kind of establishment that would try to pin it on me. Yeah, no thanks. On top of this, I realized that I hadn't paid for that night of parking (The family emergency had taken a toll on my mental capacity and it had slipped my mind) and I realize this in the middle of my shower, and think to myself "Yeah, this hotel is falling apart, but I can almost bet their "towing game" is the one thing on point. I finish up my shower, head out, find a nice little back stairway that's a LOT closer to the parking lot where i had to park, and then luckily see my vehicle sitting there with no ticket, or notice on it. I head off for the final day of family events, and then head back at 10:30. If you thought it was bad before, just you wait JUST YOU WAIT. (Done in the tune of Hamilton) So I typed out 2 more paragraphs, and Yelp limits my review length... I hit the max. So here it goes: Key cards didn't work, they moved me to another room without telling me, They had to get security to escort me back to my old room (after I had to wait 20 min for security) to retrieve my belongings. I go into the other room, it's completely disgusting and hadn't been cleaned, and there's blood spots on the linens, and garbage everywhere. (See pictures 3-9) that I had to use as proof that the new room they gave me was ABSOLUTELY disgusting. I go back down, after waiting another 15 min, they finally got me to a new room. Only 2 elevators in the building were operational. Worst hotel experience in my life.

Yelp
This "hotel" deserves No stars!!!!!!! I booked this hotel through a third party app, so I didn't know which hotel until it was paid for. Since it was a short trip I thought it could go without incident. NOT! Issues: Small issues 1.The only one elevator is operating 2. I did not receive what I asked for from housekeeping Huge issues 1. I asked for a paper receipt and the clerk said he could not print it and immediately asked to go to the back. 2.I had $453.46 worth of charges to our room. None of which were mine As they were charged on a day we were not in our room. 3. I asked the other receptionist to pull it up and she did. I asked for the manager and she sent me to food and beverages. They of course sent me back to the front desk. I returned and asked again for the manager. She said there was no manager. I asked to speak to the person in charge. She went to the back for about 4-5 min when security showed up. I spoke with Christopher who was professional and helpful. I asked the receptionist again for anyone in charge and she said there were no one there and the manager gets in a 10am, this was 6:30 am. Unfortunately yelled. "Are you kidding me?" She walked away and said she would not speak with me anymore and the security guard had me follow him to write and report. I filled out an incident report and left. I must say this hotel experience at the OYO was horrible!

Yelp
Terrible place to stay here! No free parking! $30 per day, Should have free parking for guess! $300 deposit for the room, the room was boo boo! Not nice at all, the AC is 40 years old barely even work not even AC cool air comes out. $20 upgrades just for a fridge! It should include it with the rooms. This place want to change you for everything. I say they need to improve better. A lots of improvement.

Yelp
If you've read any of the other reviews, all I can say is DITTO. Broken elevator, and from the reviews I'm reading, it has been down for MONTHS. Why do they have an attendant, for an already small, cramped elevator? I can't readily identify it, but there's definitely a not so pleasing odor in the room (think feet/damp). A/C is noisy as all hell, and it's obviously an older building, bcuz you can hear every door close and every footstep in the hall. Did I mention I'm traveling with a y/o and the TV doesn't work? ...and they charge a resort fee AND parking.

Yelp
Hotel is a death trap - not ADA compliant. Door was hanging off hinges, bathroom was dirty with bio hazards, no elevators are working - even the service elevator, the hotel is not maintained - trash is left in public areas for days. We will be reporting this to ADA compliance and the fire department. I demand a full refund and this listing being removed to avoid others having the same experience I asked to speak to management - they told me there wasn't any - they gave me a card for the Director of Operations - who I'm sure must be on vacation for the last 6 months as NOTHING is operating. I emailed her and didn't get a response. I completed a complaint form and disputed the charges at checkout - if I am not refunded in full I will report to my credit card. Avoid this place!!!! It is now 6 weeks since my complaint form was handed in at reception and I have not had a response. Any day their 'Business Manager' will apologize for dropping the ball - although you would think that when 95% of the reviews are 1* they would do more than just acknowledge their downfalls and actually step up and provide customer service.

Yelp
WTF! I think was the first words out of my mouth when I stepped foot in here. Oh boy. So, this is an older hotel. (Added) There is a $300 deposit, you get it back but know that up front. The rooms were ok at best. They are truly the "you only sleep in these rooms" type of rooms. There was no cable tv except for the news. The carpet is old, and the paint was older. It looked as if it had been remodeled maybe 10-15 years ago (or longer)? Nothing was fresh by any means. But it also wasn't a complete shit hole like some have posted, but it's not the Circa, either. A LOT OF WEED is definitely smoked around there as we smelled it EVERY SINGLE TIME WE LEFT. And that's not our bag, baby! However, you get that anywhere in Las Vegas, though. So, you truly get what you pay for at the OYO, and what you (we) pay for at the OYO is its location. It is located on the South side of the strip, very conveniently snuggled in by the MGM, NY-NY, Excalibur, Luxor, and Mandalay Bay. You can literally walk anywhere! Easy peasy. And that's what you have to do, you have to get outta the OYO and onto the strip. You really do only sleep in your room, and double lock it, just saying. The casino is meh at best. They have $1 blackjack, but those tables are always full (locals, maybe). But here's the kicker that drove me nuts! They have 3 elevators, only one of which was operating. ONE! Like wtf, seriously! 10 of you going up, you better get comfy. 12 of you going down, hope your used to nut-to-butt. I'm military and even I was annoyed and disappointed, and I've seen and done some things! A big fat guy's belly was rubbing on me on one of the trips up, super disgusting. We didn't eat there because we heard bad things about their Hooters (the restaurant). They do have a 24hr steak and shake, which I'd imagine would have been ok to eat at, hard to eff that up. Otherwise, honestly, it's cheap and in a great spot, location wise. Not sure how much longer it'll be around though - the A's are coming to town and you can't have a million-dollar hotel next to a billion-dollar stadium. You'll notice I don't have many pics of this place because it's honestly not worthy of positively remembering, unfortunately. Also, this was annoying, but I've had it happen at other motels - I PAID FOR a king suite - I GOT a queen double. Very bull-shitty of them and the explanation as to why was something dumb like "because that's what they had". But I think that's in the site used to lure you in to buy the room, not so much the hotel itself. The staff was fine, no issues but no interaction either, thank goodness. It's a two-star hotel on its best day. Don't expect anything different! It does have a pool area. Fun fact, I couldn't tell if the chair was cool and vintage, or just old. I do not recommend staying here. Addendum 1: Vincent T. I am not accepting your apology as it is simply not enough. I want my "resort fee" back. This place is no resort, and you shouldn't have the right to charge such a fee. Addendum 2: The elevators were in an issue from a post as far back as on February 3, 2024!! Later on, from a post on May 12, 2024, they physically were down to the one. This is over a year of knowing of an issue, doing nothing about it, putting people's lives in danger, and currently they are still broken! If this doesn't scream IDGAF, I don't know what does! Shame on the OYO, shame on Vincent T. for not ACTUALLY doing anything other than saying the same b.s. to everyone who is simply telling the truth. READ THE REVIEWS!! They are all saying the same thing.

Yelp
This was the worst hotel experience ever in my 69 years of living the elevator didn't work. I had to walk the homie up the stair when we were pedo and the front gay guy that checks you in was flirting with my drunk friend that's not acceptable.we also had to pay for parking witch was 60 and a 50 dollar fee for each day.plus we had to pay an extra 300 for deposit.

Yelp
Only one elevator on Oceanside floors works and has been this was for over 4 months. They did not think to mention that when we were checking in. The room air conditioner/ heater is so loud, that I did not need to use my sleep sounds. When the unit switches from cold to heat, it sounds like it's going to explode. When someone else uses water there's a high pitch sound that is ear piercing through the walls. There is no mini fridge or coffee maker. The ice maker on the floor is there to trick you and make you think you can get ice but it's not even plugged in and it's disgusting. I mean there's more I can write about but, lesson learned. At least we only stood here for one night. At least there were no bedbugs in our room like I've seen other reviews and our bed was decent but the pillows well - You really do get what you pay for. To the owners - Word of advice. RENOVATE AND UPDATE You're clearly making money from the casino. Put it back in to your business and make it at least a place that cares about its customers and so it doesn't look like it's ready to be demolished. It seems like it has never been updated since it was built in 1973 as a Howard Johnsons hotel and casino.

Yelp
Surrounding the hotel there were a bunch of addicts who harassed my lady and I. The lady at the concierge didn't smile once. I am in the customer service Industry and believe me a smile goes a long way. We get to the elevators and out of 3, one is working. Not sure why they have an elevator man because the elevators are already too small. Get up to the smoke free room and all we smell is potent weed. I would not take a kid here. The worst experience I've had in Vegas ever and I've been in Vegas a lot. The hotel should get more security to chase the undesirables out. The anxiety definitely kicked in. The stay was for two nights but left after one. Never felt safe there. You've been warned. Good luck

Yelp
If I could give 0 stars I would TERRIBLE PLACE!!!!! DO NOT STAY HERE!!!! The elevators constantly kept going out of service all day every day at all kinds of hours until one day they completely went out and we were not notified at all!!! Had to walk down the stairs from the 18th floor and staff had absolutely no knowledge Elevators were not working at all management no help either!!!! Had to walk back up the stairs to the 18th floor bc they had no clue when the elevators would be working again also rooms do not come with a fridge or microwave you have to pay an up charge for those and price Varys on how long you stay with them definitely DO NOT RECOMMEND STAYING HERE!!!!! Also they do charge a $300 deposit at time of check in that you will get back when you check out was not aware of this at all and they have the audacity to charge resort fees for such a terrible place to stay

Yelp
Sink, bath tub and toilet were stopped up. Bathroom needed cleaning , tub and toilet were filthy. There was no refrigerator or coffee in room. 3 elevators 2 were not working , Window in my room was not clean please see pictures I could not recommend this Hotel. The staff was friendly. Parking is contacted out.which was ok. Oh, I neglected to tell you that I called for someone to repair the sink and tub. They came promptly, but the tub is still stopped up. I ran water in it. The water is still there. It's been about an hour. The water still has not drained from the tub, I cannot take a shower in that tub. There was hair , dirty in there so disgusted with this place I came to see my Grandson who had had an accident. But I would have loved to take a shower instead of a wash up. After complaining the room we were moved to the 18th floor. This room smells like smoke. It was terrible worse than the casino it needs a thorough cleaning. The new room tub was less stained. There was no hot water. There was three elevators, two were out of order. They had an elevator operator. The staff was very friendly and they tried to help but this hotel is beyond repair. My rating was one star The staff was good friendly and helpful. Please put this hotel out of its misery.. hotel is nasty disgusting like a service station restroom. It's been a over 3 weeks where is my $300 deposit ??

Yelp
This place is a joke. Worst hotel ever. Took me like 25 min to check in. There was only one person taking care of guests, a line formed. If you want them to clean the room and make the bed you have to ask, and nobody warns you about that. Customer service is a joke. If you try to call them (option 7) nobody will answer. It is all old and outdated. Next door there is a construction site. Despite the fact that the hotel is practically empty they gave me a room facing the construction, and I had to deal with the noise. The employees look like they care very little.

Yelp
Renovations are not done. My room was fine, but my friend's room was awful. I had good water flow in the shower, good A/C, good fridge and microwave. She had no hot water at all, funky A/C, broken bathroom door, tiny fridge sitting on the floor, no microwave. Hallways in both buildings smell like cleaning products, like overkill. I got charged extra for fridge and microwave EACH NIGHT. Only one elevator was working last night - out of FIVE!!! I would not stay here again.

Yelp
Yeah this is officially an awful place. Used to be a no frills value option to get more or less on the strip. Smells, broken stuff everywhere and terrible service. They insisted on 30 bucks to check in early. At that point places like NY NY are barely more expensive and several orders of magnitude better. O If you arrive early: on principle just walk your bags to a real hotel/casino where they'll check your bags for free even if you're not staying there. Worst part was all the broken elevators. Only one operational and the call buttons don't work so it just stops at all floors up and down . Took a literal 30 minutes to get down from the 6th floor with luggage. Bonus issue: old AC unit would randomly spazz out and wake us up. Pretty sure the mattresses have not been replaced since before I was last there 10 years ago.

Clem C.

Yelp
They do charge for parking and will not refund for parking I prepaid before in advance on day one when I thought I was staying there for 4 days ,found out elevators are broke most of time!!! Must wait 30-60 minutes to get to room and room smelled and was not clean !! They charge a $52 a day resort fee which is BS for this dive !!!

Yelp
This hotel should be torn down!! Worst hotel in Vegas. $300 for deposit???? The shower did not work. When I called front desk, they said they would send someone to see the problem. Nobody came. I called again and asked to speak to a supervisor. All I got was a phone number. Supervisor never answered the phone. Left 10 messages and was never called back. Excuses after excuses is all I got. No one will ever call you back. Emails were never replied to. I would rather sleep in my car!!! STAY AWAY FROM ANY OYO HOTEL!! I wish I could give it NO stars!

Yelp
I stayed here for one night and the first problem was the elevator. It was broken. You have to wait 5+ minutes for it to come. The other one wasn't working at all. The room wasn't clean and the shower had no water pressure. The water was literally dripping from the shower head. I had to go home to shower. The casino is small and seems to not be any good for winning. Overall, I don't recommend unless this is your absolute last resort/option.

Yelp
This hotel didn't have hot running water for the three days I stayed there so me and my kids took cold showers for three days..No one would answer the front desk phone or maid services phone. No one came to empty the trash or change the sheets for the 3 days I stayed there but someone did come in and steal my whole make-up bag at some point. The bathroom door was broken.. wouldn't shut. I do not recommend this hotel at all.

B S.

Yelp
Checked in and our toilet flooded, went downstairs and was told by Gloria that they would issue a refund in full. I used booking.com and all day for the past 4 days we have been trying to confirm this and they won't answer the phone, no one can give me a number to their billing, they haven't responded to a single email, and they're still holding my deposit. This has been an absolute mess from the beginning. Don't stay here, don't gamble here, just avoid it at all costs In response to the managers response: I understand how a deposit works, what I don't understand is how I still haven't received a refund 3 weeks later after I was guaranteed one by the Oyo and booking.com

Yelp
If I could give this business less than 1 star, I would. Let me preface by saying, I normally do not leave reviews for any place I eat or stay at, but this was such a negative experience and I hope to save others from this mess! My husband and I stayed at the Oyo at the end of May for my best friend's wedding. Upon arrival we were charged an additional $500 for parking & resort fees. Our total for the hotel stay of 3 nights ended up costing us around $1,100. When we checked in and headed to the elevator we noticed a line of people standing and waiting. Someone finally let us know there was only ONE working elevator so we waited around 10-15 minutes just to go up to our room and same if we needed to head back to the lobby. (Not the biggest inconvenience, but annoying nonetheless) The room was basic, one bed one bath. Definitely outdated, and a bit dingy. The bathroom countertop was separating from the base, and the shower had random hairs of assorted colors and lengths (prior to us using the toilet or shower). Like stated before, I'm not a complainer but I remember thinking this is definitely not worth over $1,000 to stay here. The next morning there was a paper underneath the door stating the hotel was notified by a smoke alarm that it was detected we had smoked at 1:22 a.m and we would be charged an ADDITIONAL $400. There was no customer service number on this note, any contact information of any kind. This note is just a "oh well, you have to pay us and that's final" type of note. We spoke with front desk staff that same morning, and they told us their manager would be at the hotel until 11:00p.m and to come back and speak to him before he leaves, as there was nothing they could do at their level. "Only managers have access" is what they said. (Mind you this is now the day of best friend's wedding) My husband and I left the wedding early just to get back before 11 p.m to speak with the manager. Just to get to the front desk and be told he was not there and would be back tomorrow at 11 a.m. Very frustrating to say the least. We would be checking out the next morning at 6 a.m, so we could not be there at 11 a.m.. the receptionist went to the back and gave me a business card with said manager's email and a chart she printed titled "Smoke Report" that showed a graph of the time the smoke detector reported smoke and it stated that between the times of 1:05 a.m and 1:45 a.m we were "smoking". This is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. My husband and I do not drink alcohol and we do not smoke! The receptionist also let us know we would have to start an "investigation" with the manager, but since we was not on site we would go to the security stand and explain our issue and have them send a security guard to our room and "inspect". After speaking to security, he let us know we would receive a phone call to our room within 2 hrs. So, instead of being at my best friend's reception, we sat in our room for over FOUR hours. No phone call. My husband then emailed the manager and explained our issue and we went to bed as we had now missed the entire reception. We received two emails back. One stating "There is nothing we can do. Our sensor detected smoke between 1:07 and 1:38 a.m. You can dispute charges with your bank" Excuse me? Nothing you can do? And we are now being told 3 different times that smoke was supposedly detected!!! We made our way down to reception to try one last time to speak to someone and resolve this issue, but were yet again told the manager was not there and to come back later. (How is there never a manager working? Seems unlikely). We were basically told, there's nothing we can do, there will be a $400 charge on your account and it is what it is. My husband and I were given a complete runaround, with zero help from anyone at Oyo. It is impossible to accuse someone of smoking and not allowing them to even try to dispute! This could've been quickly resolved if a security guard came into our room and looked around. If we actually had been smoking in our room for an hour like they said, wouldn't the room smell? Or the hallway? This is just a scam this hotel does on their guests to get even more money out of them! DO NOT STAY HERE! Like I said, I'm not a complainer and I wouldn't write a review if this was about a run down room or a crappy elevator, but with all these inconveniences AND a fake smoking charge, I couldn't believe it. It honestly ruined the wedding for us too, and we couldn't celebrate with our best friends of 17 years. The Oyo is a crappy hotel. You'll have better luck staying at a Best Western. Probably cheaper too!

Yelp
We were out of the country we made a reservation here we were supposed to be staying at Mgm properties but they were all full. We had cash on us, but they would not let us stay in the room without a $300 deposit. Very, very, very bad people we had to sleep in the airport. Do not go here they say they have a dollar blackjack too. It's not true. The staff is terrible no heart.

Yelp
Terrible. This hotel is sub-standard. The price is a bit cheaper than the fancy hotels, but trust me, pay the extra $30 a night to stay elsewhere 5 of the 6 elevators are broken. Sign says "being upgraded", but the one I used earlier worked, now it's "being upgraded" They literally suggest you climb 15 flights of stairs with your luggage if you don't wanna wait 20-30 mins The room lacks basic expected amenities in a hotel nowadays. NO Mini Fridge. No Microwave. The shower and sink both also have extremely low water pressure, but they did work. Kinda dirty compared to the "name" places. Would not stay here ever again Don't believe the FAKE 5 star reviews where almost every one of them mentions by name some "amazing" employee of this place lol

Yelp
You get what you pay for here. Only one working elevator for the entire place. Pretty chaotic energy, I would not recommend. But especially for what I'm about to write about the sportsbook... All of the book guys who took my bets were super nice, but one guy (younger African American guy) was so incredibly rude to me 2 separate times. I've been to dozens of Vegas sports books in my life, and I've never had someone be so rude to me when trying to take a bet. I'm shocked he's employed honestly. He was a total jerk to me so I called him out and told him I didn't like how was speaking to me. Then he called security on me. It's crazy to me that someone like this dude is employed there. Maybe he's anti-semetic because I'm Jewish and he was so incredibly rude...I've really never had an altercation in my life like that. So hopefully management sees this! Guy is a toxic person and may be an anti-semite. I'll never return to your casino because of him.

Yelp
Recommend: No, even for low prices. Service: wasn't great, dishonest, even employee in the casino games/tables didn't seem to care. Room: 1st room-smell like sewer inside. Got a room changed-2nd room was better. See details below. Location: this is probably the only good thing about this hotel is that it is close to the strip. Details: We checked in the hotel, found out their elevator was out of service so they have comp our resort fee since we were only there for one night. When we got to our room, it had a smell and we realized it was coming from our bathroom. Not sure if it was from the sink, the toilet, or the bathtub but it smelled like sewage. We tried to turn on the water and flush the toilet and that didn't work. Not only that, our sink was clogged when we turned on the water. We reached out to the front desk/operator via hotel phone and requested if it can be checked/fixed or if we can move to another room. The lady on the phone responded saying they're fully booked and we couldn't move to a different room but they'll send housekeeping and engineer up to our room. We waited an hour and no one came so we called again. At that point we didn't want to waste our time so we went out and got food. By the time we're back around 9pm, we came back to our room with the stink still there and no one came and checked it when they said they'll have someone come up. We decided to go downstairs and talk to the front desk. Luckily, the person we spoke with told us he can move us to a different floor but only 9th floor was available. So with no elevator, we decided it is better to move to the 9th floor instead of staying in a sewer smelling room. I really hope they fix that room before they book it for the next person. If anyone comes across this room, it was room 540. We played some table games but didn't really felt the mood with the employees at the table games didn't really seem like they want to talk to you or only to one certain individual. Overall, my experience there wasn't very pleasant. I can't say I'll be back.

Yelp
Thank you Savannah and Alex for this amazing Wheel of Fortune alumni slots tournament! #wofalums2023 We stayed at the OYO because they were generously hosting the first annual Wheel Of Fortune alumni slots tournament. The hotel I believe was the former Hooters resort. It is not as extravagant as some parts of Las Vegas, but had everything that you need there. We swam in the pool, we played other slots, we had a blast in the tournament, we ate in the burger restaurant, we ate in the wings restaurant, and I think we even went to the coffee shop. It had air conditioning in the room, it had a view of Las Vegas, and sits, conveniently at the end of the monorail, which is super safe, even at 1 am as a woman by myself. So for this tournament, it was super convenient to be right there because there's so little time in between rounds. It would be hard to keep going back-and-forth from another place. I look forward to next year's tournament! Thank you OYO for hosting!

Yelp
This is a very run down casino. The rooms are horrible. The bathroom was dirty and furniture was run down. Motel 6 is better! I only needed to stay for one night and was not looking to spend a lot of money but even the this room was $250 with early check in. Pay the extra money next time and stay in much cleaner casino.

Yelp
I wish I could cancel my second night! I stayed at Oyo 4 years ago and it was great. Arrived today to find a totally different hotel. They made me wait 30 minutes to give my key or they would charge me $20. 6 elevators were broken in a Labor Day weekend. The service elevator was old, the staff was rude, and was taking 15 minutes to get to our room. If you decided to take the stairs, they were disgusting! Many doors without the doorknob. Other stair doors were locked (major risk in case of fire!!!). The hallways were disgusting with bags of dirty sheets and garbage. The ice machine was without ice. The bathtub had mold and now I'm writing and thinking if the beds have bedbugs. Never again!
