Yelp
TLDR: Awful Customer Service, Awful handling of rooms, Awful rooms.
My stay ranged from 01/22/25 - 01/25/25 (3 nights)
I booked on Priceline, day of, for a 3 day emergency visit for a family emergency in Henderson. Saw the 3.5 star rating (Did you know that hotels rate themselves on their star rating? (google it. ;) now you know) thought the 63 a night rate would be great for a place to crash. I'm not high maintenance by any means, but the family emergency made me not want to be a burden on my family member, so I decided to find something outside of their home.
The OYO was 15 minutes away from my family member's house. I arrived at around 12:30 PM, and was booked for 3 nights.
I was made to wait (I was the only one at the registration desk) for 20 minutes to check in, and between 7 minute pauses where the registration person was checking on their computer, they kept looking up at me, and saying "One moment sir, this will just take a moment". They said this two times to me. When I was asking if they needed my Priceline confirmation number (I had also paid previously as well) they said they had it.... So.... I don't understand why the long wait. They stated that they could put me in a smoking room (Run of the house) and I said that I would much prefer a non-smoking room. They said Okay, They finally gave me Room 216. Enter picture #1 Below of the hall way for this bank of rooms, which stayed like this for 3 days with no change.
After getting to my room, the heater (no temperature indicator other than a sticker from red (hot) to blue (cooler)) was going, and was SO LOUD. I thought "There's no way I can sleep through this" and I turned it off, and bundled up for the night.
I crashed and didn't take much attention to the room, other than the room felt a little uneven. Pillows were a little more firm than I wanted. Sheets seemed stiff.
I woke up in the morning, and decided to take a shower. That's when I noticed hair all over the shower. The caulk separating from the edges of the shower surround, which caught additional hair. (see image #2, which I'll get to a little later because I actually took that picture on morning 2.)
I started to get a little bothered by the condition of the hotel, for it being a 3.5 star rated (on Priceline) and thought it should have been up-kept a little more. It seemed at that time, like housekeeping probably never wiped down, or cleaned the shower for likely SEVERAL WEEKS.
Anyways, I had to go see family, so I left. I had paid for parking that night (basically 20.00 per night) and I was kicking myself for not including that in the price of my "budget stay" because I likely would have ended up somewhere else.
I came back end of day 2 (for night 2) and had put the little "do not disturb" tag on my door, and so my room was as I had left it. (The hallway as well, with all the housekeeping bags. See image #1 again if you need a reminder)
I wake up, and become more disgusted with the room condition (scratchy towels, too old toilet seat with marks that you can't determine if they're dirty, or just marked up, etc.) and I go to take another shower. Which I determine at this point, likely hasn't been cleaned in multiple guest stays. WHEN THE KNOB FALLS OFF the hot water side, and lands in the tub (That's what's going on in Photo #1). I stick it back on, and think that there's no way I'm going to let them know, because they seem like the kind of establishment that would try to pin it on me. Yeah, no thanks.
On top of this, I realized that I hadn't paid for that night of parking (The family emergency had taken a toll on my mental capacity and it had slipped my mind) and I realize this in the middle of my shower, and think to myself "Yeah, this hotel is falling apart, but I can almost bet their "towing game" is the one thing on point.
I finish up my shower, head out, find a nice little back stairway that's a LOT closer to the parking lot where i had to park, and then luckily see my vehicle sitting there with no ticket, or notice on it.
I head off for the final day of family events, and then head back at 10:30. If you thought it was bad before, just you wait JUST YOU WAIT. (Done in the tune of Hamilton)
So I typed out 2 more paragraphs, and Yelp limits my review length... I hit the max. So here it goes: Key cards didn't work, they moved me to another room without telling me, They had to get security to escort me back to my old room (after I had to wait 20 min for security) to retrieve my belongings. I go into the other room, it's completely disgusting and hadn't been cleaned, and there's blood spots on the linens, and garbage everywhere. (See pictures 3-9) that I had to use as proof that the new room they gave me was ABSOLUTELY disgusting. I go back down, after waiting another 15 min, they finally got me to a new room. Only 2 elevators in the building were operational. Worst hotel experience in my life.
