"One of our favoritepizza shopsin LA is back in Glendale. Ozzy’s, known for New Haven-style pies with crackly-thin crusts, has reopened inside the Glen Arden Club after pausing its pop-up there earlier this year. Expect the same menu as the North Hollywood location, including the Pepperoni Idiot, the Mega Powers topped with tomato and garlic, and the Liotta, a minimalist, red-sauce-only pie finished with olive oil and parmesan." - Cathy Park
"LA has become home to all sorts of pizza styles: Detroit, Roman, Tokyo-inspired Neapolitan, to name a few. We’ve never had New Haven representation though, until now. Ozzy’s Apizza (pronounced “abeetz”) began as a pop-up and now operates out of a counter-service space in North Hollywood. There’s even a location in New Haven, too. Here, it’s all about the crust—thin, crackly, and charred until it appears almost burnt (it’s not). There’s a unique smokiness to every crunchy bite that blends with savory toppings like bacon and little neck clams. If it’s your first time, get the Liotta, a cheeseless pie for New Haven purists with nothing but red sauce, olive oil, and parmesan. Our current favorite is the Mikey Rabbit, a white pie with sweet, garlicky ricotta sauce, housemade sausage, spinach, and a generous dusting of pecorino." - brant cox, sylvio martins, cathy park

"This New Haven pizza specialist relocated to a strip mall storefront in North Hollywood after operating out of a social club in Glendale. Expect blistered thin-crust pies topped with all the familiar classics, including pepperoni, ricotta cream with sausage, and clams. The meatlover’s Swanson pizza, inspired by Nick Offerman’s character in Parks & Rec, comes with bacon, sausage, pepperoni, and a thick layer of mozzarella cheese. Ozzy’s has become successful enough that it has opened a location in its spiritual home city of New Haven, likely the first time a restaurant in Los Angeles has ventured there." - Matthew Kang

"The Glendale New Haven‑style pizzeria closed on October 31; fans were reassured by the opening of a new pizzeria inside a former MOD Pizza in North Hollywood’s NoHo Commons." - Eater Staff
