"This place is just outside of Miami, but it feels necessary to mention Miramar’s PK Oriental Mart while we’re on the topic of Chinese barbecue inside a market. Walk to the back of the store, where whole ducks and huge slabs of red pork hang on hooks. They’ve got crispy duck, soy sauce chicken, and a couple of forms of pork (the char siu is our favorite). It’s all tender and delicious, and for about $13, you can get a combo with two meats and a bulbous mound of rice." - mariana trabanino, ryan pfeffer, virginia otazo

"PK Oriental Mart is a standard Asian market in Pembroke Pines. But the real reason to seek this place out is the glistening Chinese barbecue in the back of the store. Whole ducks and huge slabs of red pork hang on hooks behind glass, while an employee chops meat into manageable bites with a cleaver. PK Oriental Mart sells crispy duck, soy sauce chicken, and a couple of forms of pork (the char siu barbecue is our favorite). It’s all tender and delicious, and for about $13, you can get a combo with two meats and a mound of rice. It'd be a great deal even if the meat was mediocre, but this is some of the best Chinese barbecue we’ve had in South Florida." - Ryan Pfeffer

Google
This is your corner Asian supermarket. It's a nice place to stop by. It always has something different. Today I came for the ginger candy. This market has them for a good price. I also ended up getting the Chinese-style BBQ meat. They make a good BBQ here. They also have duck, pork, and chicken. It is sold by the pound. this market has other things inside like Chinese medicine, teas, houseware items, good dim sum, and much more. It's an interesting place to check out. The staff is helpful and friendly.

Google
Very nice little Asian grocery. They even have a fresh Chinese BBQ section to go, lots of fresh Asian vegetables, pots, pans etc for reasonable prices. Also they have a small section of bakery items!

Google
Amazing store in the middle of Pembroke Pines. They have true authentic home made snacks and dessert along with soy chicken and roasted bbq pork and duck! Over a fresh fluffy bed of white rice. It came with a side Of sauce we was salty and incredibly tasting.

Google
Great Asian super market in south Florida. Huge variety of products. Offering fresh produce, frozen and refrigerated products, bakery, BBQ (duck, pork, etc), household and traditional products and brands. Highly recommended if you are looking for authentic Asian goods!!!

Google
I had such a great experience at this Asian food store! The staff were very friendly and helpful, always ready to answer questions and make suggestions. They had a great variety of products from all over Asia, including ingredients that are hard to find elsewhere. The prices were also very reasonable, especially considering the quality of the merchandise. I was particularly surprised by their wide selection of fresh produce and high-quality frozen goods. Overall, I highly recommend this store to anyone who loves Asian food or who is looking for unique and hard-to-find ingredients. It's a great place to browse and discover new things, and the staff are always happy to help you find just what you're looking for.

Google
Lots of Asian dried and canned food. Spices, noodles, cookies even BBQ ducks and pork. Small but packed with items.

Yelp
PK Oriental Mart has a variety of Asian snacks, goodies, frozen foods and grab & go eats. It's a little further out for me so it's not my go to Asian market but when I'm in the area, I like to stop by to see what new items they may have or see what I might "need" to buy. Lol. It's usually the Asian snacks that get me! Not gonna lie. Conveniently close to Chow One Korean Steakhouse which we like to frequent when we're in the mood for Korean BBQ. PK Oriental Mart also has roasted duck, crispy pork and whole chicken. Although I have never gotten those food menu items here before, I am intrigued.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite Asian markets to pop in once in a while. I have been coming here for years. I always like to see what's new. It's a great place to get good Chinese dumplings. They have a good variety and they are the kind I grew up with. The prices are also good. This store has other things inside aside from food items. The last aisle has chopsticks, plates, tea cups, and more household things. The first aisle has Chinese medicine, herbs, teas, and tiger balms. Someone is normally there that can help you. Towards the back, they have a place to buy food by the pound. I normally get Chinese-style BBQ pork. It's good and tender. The duck looks good also. I did not see moon cakes today but when they do have any. They are good. The cashier is mostly the same lady always. She has always been friendly and helpful.

Robert S.

Yelp
We came here with my cousin since he needed to get some food supplies for his house. The store is well stocked and it has lots of different sections. Fresh vegetables, frozen foods, refrigerated foods, snacks, cookies, sauces, tea, noodles, rice, seaweed, Chinese medicine, kitchen ware, etc. They also have a busy section for Chinese BBQ meats like whole ducks, chicken, pork, Char Siu, etc. I was looking for some shrimp crackers and they had many brands but not the one that I usually buy. Their selection of frozen dumplings and dim sum items was really good and varied. I also liked that their Chinese medicine section had most of the items that I would usually buy for things like cough, burns, headaches, etc. Prices are very competitive and the lady working there was very nice and friendly.

Yelp
9 times out of 10, this is the best place for good deals on Asian produce. Great variety, and always impressively fresh. Always check costs, because occasionally a better price is to be had elsewhere, but this is a REAL good deal in most cases. It's the only place we can semi-reliably find the little Thai red and green chilis that bring our tongues so much sweet pain! While it doesn't particularly specialize in Filipino items, it does have a great selection of select items, not least of which are Mama Sita's sauce mixes. Dried fish, too, a must for the Pinoy diet. They have a busy ready-cooked duck, pork, and chicken counter in the back. It has had some long past health violations noted online, but the business never stops, so I think they can be taken with a grain of salt. Or rice. SUPER RECOMMENDED!

Alexi Y.

Yelp
A nice one-stop shop for Asian groceries and some bbq. I bought some Chinese sausage. Seems like prices went up in the Boca store. Also got some noodles and veggies for a pan fried dish. There were also some buns available. I can shop here after our dim sum lunch down the street.

Lynn C.

Yelp
My coworker always tells me how he shops here for the BBQ and the buns. He brought me a pork buns one time. Flavoring was a little sweet. It was nice that it wasn't greasy or left my mouth oily. I came a couple days ago for the BBQ. I was very pleased to find that the prices here were perfect! I hope they can keep these prices low. It's nice to grab a quick lunch or dinner for myself and not worry to be overspending. I decided I wanted to try the chicken and crispy pork. The pork was delicious. A little on the salty side but i get that the salt helps the skin crispy up. Still very good and a good amount of fat and meat. It's nice to see that the meat hangs up there, the oil just runs off of it. It was juicy on the inside and wasn't greasy at all. The chicken was delicious. I've had soy chicken at restaurants down here and this is definitely my favorite. The flavor was perfect and it wasn't salty nor greasy. I wish they had the sauce that it was marinated in. I would have drenched my rice in it. Oh! And the rice it was so fluffy! I feel like a lot of places that have been to lately have given me undercooked rice, as if there wasn't enough water in it. This place actually takes care and makes sure the rice it good. It sounds so simple but to an Asian like me, it's a big deal. If you plan on coming for their bakery items, i suggest coming early. I came after work and there was only moon buns left. The BBQ was almost gone as well. They also have a small selection of asian grocery, produce and kitchenware. Highly recommend this place!

Yelp
stopped in looking for some asian snacks while visiting my moms... staff super friendly. place was clean and prices very reasonable

Yelp
I stopped in after seeing this place pop up as a notification. I love finding new oriental markets. This place is similar to food town, and kimchi mart but has more prepackaged food and limited amount of fresh produce. They do have fresh baked goods which were very delightful and had different flavors then other items sold at the other stores. They also have a small take out restaurant in the back. Which roasted duck, pork or chicken. I got the soy sauce chicken and toasted pork. It the server had chopped it up perfectly. The chicken was very good although might be too salty for some people, the pork was wonderful not to sweet and very moist. Rice was fluffy. The meal came with a side in a small container. I have no idea what it is looks like ginger/garlic with some oil. But I highly recommend to add it to the rice it's like salty/savory goodness. Also wanted to note that the server was wearing gloves while preparing my to go plate, and washed their hands before, and was wearing a mask the entire time. I also tried some of their baked goods. Pork bun- less sweeter than other ones, the filling was decent, and the bread was very fresh and fluffy There's another pork bun I had got, the outside is with more of a puff pastry which I had never tried before. It was very delightful and filling. - the 2 sweet baked items I got was a rice dumpling with red bean paste. To be honest it was just ok. But might not get again. Lastly was an item I Fl don't know the name of it, But it's a baked item with the outside being a dense puff pastry and the inside having peanut butter and a black egg which may sound nasty too some people but this was very very delicious and wonderful. I'll definitely come back for their baked goods and fresh roasted pork.

Patricia M.

Yelp
Really loved this place and their selection of items! I was so happy to have so many options for buns & dumplings. I can't wait to come back!

Charity D.

Yelp
I love coming to this market. They have such a great variety of items at good prices. From their teas and sauces to produce and snacks, everything is organized and good quality. We also love their prepared food and have had the duck and soy chicken which are delicious. The staff are friendly and helpful, too.

Lola F.

Yelp
So, I recently went here the other day and noticed that most of the drinks in the fridge were way past their expiration date. My advice to anyone going here is to make sure to check if they're expired before buying. I had to remove some stars because that's extremely careless.

Lita L.

Yelp
Since I love checking out Asian markets when I travel, Yelp came up with this one. This is an old fashioned smaller sized Asian market, not like the super sized modern marts with wide aisles and massive inventories, but they do cram it in there. There's lots of boxes of products lining a side of each aisle so that only one shopping cart can barely squeak through, so basically only one cart per aisle. We were the only customers in the store, so it was not a problem for us. The snack aisle was great, and we picked up several packages of mochi, what I call lychee poppers, (lychee in a sweet gel) and individually wrapped chocolate and peanut butter layered wafers. Okay, we're Asian snack junkies. I also got best guess, a 5 pound package of fresh flat rice noodle sheets I plan to use for making beef chow fun, in soup with roast pork, and maybe wing some steamed with shrimp and soy sauce. I would have picked up a whole roast duck if it was in the beginning of our vacation week. Prices were reasonable, and the lady who checked us out was very sweet.

Yelp
This will be my last time I will set foot in this place. The owner is so rude to the costumers this morning. This was my go to Asian market due to the location so close to my house. But I rather drive to Davie to go to the new Asian market Edson. If a owner is ok losing out on sales to be rude doesn't deserve my money. I hope who ever reads this review take their money elsewhere.

Cheyenne R.

Yelp
I've been to this place several times growing up and I always stop by to try new Oriental snacks and food. Theirs tons of aisels with foods and snacks and towards the back their is a hot food section that has roast duck, crispy pork, roast chicken,BBQ pork, ECT. And also seaweed flavored lays to try($2) This particular day I was in the mood for duck so I got a half of duck ($11) and some ramen noodles ($2) to boil at home which is always very affordable and tasty. My only complaint is that the duck was very very oily. When I got home the container and bag was covered in oil/grease. This place has been a go too for food and Oriental groceries. I will continue to return here to try some of the many food items they have to offer.

Perry D.

Yelp
The best roast pork and duck in a Chinese grocery store!! It also has a wide selection of mostly Chinese food stuffs, funerary papers, medicines, frozen goodies, and some invaluable kitchen gadgets, for instance at the time I was there, there was a rice noodle steamer

Annette F.

Yelp
I was so sad when their north Miami location closed. I was this way for another reason and in need of mirin, so I made a bee-line for PK. Got my mirin, but nothing else on this trip. It's a great store for all Asian groceries. The vegetables looked so fresh. Whole roast duck is also a bargain. I'll return

Maryann S.

Yelp
Around Dade & Broward County, they have a lot of small mom/pop oriental shops that has large selections of spices, noodles and fresh vegetables like this one. It makes a neighborhood market like family. You become personable and friendly with the owners. They actually have a PK Market off of NE 167th st in North Miami but never knew if they connected. They have a wide variety of noodle selections, coconut milks, asian spices and frozen food. The fresh vegetables has bok choy, bean sprouts, mushrooms and ginger roots, they don't really have much. They even serve ready to eat duck, we usually order half duck ($10.95) and cook steam white rice when we get home. It's really good but can get greasy. This is a great around the corner market for your grocery needs.

Shelley J.

Yelp
This little market has everything the Asian cook needs. Also a huge variety of frozen items like dim sum! They have fried pork, char sun roast pork, whole duck and fresh fish for very good prices. They have specialty Chinese veggies for the best prices anywhere. All sauces, soups mixes, noodles as well. One stop shop for Asian ingredients.

Flower Child ..

Yelp
Decent neighborhood oriental market. Limited inventory on account of limited space. Lots of teas, limited rice noodles. Lots of fish sauce and vinegars. I'll stop in here if I'm in the neighborhood.

Chris R.

Yelp
Definitely a hidden gem in Pembroke Pines. It's a super awesome, extensive Asian market. The prices are alright at best, but I was able to get a killer chef's knife for about $15. The frozen foods are pretty expensive. If you can find it at Publix, the price is generally comparable, when Asian markets like this should typically be much cheaper. Overall, I highly recommend it.

Annie J.

Yelp
PK is a great find. Not only does it have fresh Asian groceries but also sectioned condiments based on the country of origin. They mainly have Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Thai sections amount other. They had wonton wrappers and in the frozen section and frozen dimsum. A whole section dedicated to teas and another for dried mushrooms and herbs. Asian snacks are the best and I love that they had a good selection of pots and pans. They have baked breads up front and bbq meats like duck and ribs in the back. Got my dominoes set, tea and chopsticks here! And I found the chopstick rest and sushi supplies in the other PK mart in Miami!

Patrice C.

Yelp
So I went this afternoon for lunch since I'm working from home. Walked to the deli in the back waiting to order. Two workers walked past me and went behind the deli case, basically ignoring me. After about 5 minutes I asked for some help. One of the guys came over, I ordered the 3 meat combo with white rice, the guy the tells me there's no white rice, I said I'll take it without the rice. The guy proceeds to leave the back, go get a sack of rice, pours it into a bucket and then takes rice out to steam. I told the guy again that I don't want the rice I'm at lunch and have to get back to work. He totally ignores me, I decided to leave. No matter how hungry I am, I will NEVER give an establishment my money for the rude treatment I received.

Muhammad M.

Yelp
I am shopping always fresh noodle and spring rolls sheets some time time i am buying from here scanner for ground beef very good price

Kalvin K.

Yelp
The selection of asian groceries is decent at this store. There are plenty of fresh vegetables in the cooler sections, although, they don't seem to have green bitter melon or water spinach on a consistent basis. I normally buy the shanghai bok choy tips or regular bok choy tips. I think the prices are pretty comparable to the other major asian grocery stores throughout south Florida. I come here once to twice a week to stock up on vegetables. I haven't tried their Chinese BBQ or go through their section of frozen goodies. The Chinese BBQ does look pretty tasty but it is not my usual cup of tea. I recommend coming here early if you want to get the Chinese BBQ as they do run out early in the day. They accept credit cards which is a huge plus for me.

Angie B.

Yelp
A small market but they have it all. Even roasted duck! I also found cooked pig's ears here. I bought two packs. It's so tasty. It's about 3 hours of drive from where I live, so I need to find time to make the trip again to get myself some more.

Howard H.

Yelp
Its a nice Asian supermarket. The isles are neat and clean. They do carry most of the groceries and items what we normally shop for. Price wise might be just average at best. The other place we shop is usually cheaper. They also sell Chinese style BBQ. Though I never had them from this place but it looks legit. The only con about this place is that its in Pembroke Pines so its about 20 min drive for us. Otherwise its a nice Asian grocery store.

Binh T.

Yelp
Roast duck ~19$ whole Soy sauce chicken ~10$ whole Crispy BBQ pork ~9.49$/lb They also have char siu BBQ sweet pork I go here to get my fix of deli stuff. They also sell it by the meal with rice if you chose instead of buying whole. Made daily. Bakery made daily. Average selection of veggies. No hot peppers. Lacks fruits. They do have sake!!!

Lara E.

Yelp
I love going to PK to get my fix on items I couldn't get elsewhere. Reminds me of your neighborhood grocer growing up! They have wide selection of Southeast Asian items (sauces/noodles/spices). Their frozen section isn't bad either (I prefer buying the spring roll skin here than Foodtown, it's fresher). They are not as big as Foodtown so don't get your hope high but they are definitely cleaner and have fresh bakery that serves to die for egg tarts. And the lady at the cashier is super helpful!! Thanks 'Aunty'!!!!

Shahla M.

Yelp
Bought a Yelp deal for PK and have gone back a few times since. They have a great variety of Asian vegetables, seasonings etc. that are usually hard to find. Best part: It is a clean store and the staff is friendly and eager to help.

David H.

Yelp
This is one of the better Chinese markets in the area. They do have a good selection and they have some things some of the other markets don't.

Maria Jose R.

Yelp
Since we moved to the Miramar area we've been going to PK. We cook a lot of Singapore/Malay/Chinese food, and they seem to have all we need. I'd say the prices are a little too much (each time we go, we get about 15 items for $50 or more). I do enjoy the fact that they have shrimps with heads, crabs, fresh baked goods (including char siew buns), and homemade roasted duck, etc. Also, today we used the $30 for $15 coupon. Hope they keep putting up those deals!

June K.

Yelp
This asian store has better curb appeal than a lot of the other asian stores. They have a great selection of different asian nationalities items, and there are more than two, contrary to what most believe (chinese/japanese). They acutally have a register that scans the items rather than the price stickers on the items that they ring in to a register manually. They have a fresh seafood department that has a lot of stuff you can't get at publix (think shrimp with their heads still attached), and they have the hanging meats they cook everyday to purchase by pound. Yes, this place is a bit more pricier than other stores, but I'd rather come here instead of go there because of the way they visually merchandise their store. Oh, and it doesn't smell as bad as the other stores IMHO.

S M.

Yelp
Love asians and I love this place.Huge place with al kinds of asian products, seafood, vegetables, and canned items. They also sell some Japanese items as well as religious supplies. They also sell chinese medicine behind the counter.

Frank X.

Yelp
i like this shop! on wknds their roasted products are fresh and tasty. can't complain about that if they're fresh.. good selection of canned goods for the asian kitchen (as long as it's to a chinese bias...)

Denise M.

Yelp
I have decided to make some sesame balls. I went to PK store not knowing where any of the ingredients would be in the store. The lady behind the register came out and helped me find all three ingredients. Very friendly service and I will go back. Now, to the kitchen and attempt these sesame balls...Yum...

Michelle C.

Yelp
They have what I need. The reason for the 3 stars is because the prices seem to keep getting higher and higher every time I visit. Hmmmm.... They should know that they're not the only one in town selling asian groceries. They want an arm and a leg for sushi supplies.... how about I just take my money somewhere else. See ya PK!

Wai Q.

Yelp
Price is reasonable and the cooked food is great. For example the roast pork and the Peking Duck and not to mention the baked goods.

mother m.

Yelp
Having had the luxury of living in New York City and the San Francisco Bay Area, where all kinds of Asian goodies can be found for cheap, my standards for Asian grocery stores are admittedly high. So the selection here is not impressive. And the prices are terrible. They do have some basic Thai curry mixes, cans of coconut milk, pad thai sauce, scallion pancakes, frozen Chinese dumplings, dry noodles, rice, and a few frozen dim sum items. I didn't go down the sauce/condiment aisle, but it seemed decent. My fave brand of frozen dumplings costs $5/bag here, whereas in NYC I would be able to score it for ~$3.50/bag. The difference adds up, especially if you're a dumpling fiend like me. The baked goods section was also paltry in selection and quite expensive. But, it exists. The produce section had some bok choy and scallions and some other greens. Not massive, but again, the section exists. Their tofu selection only seems to be the generic plastic packaged box tofu, not the fresh stuff that sits out in vats of water. I will keep hunting for a better stocked and priced store, but in the meantime, this place is sufficient for meeting basic needs if you're willing to shell out the dough.

Oraib S.

Yelp
Excellent customer service, you buy your groceries and you get free cooking lessons, great people.

Daniel T.

Yelp
I found it easy to find what I was looking for; they stock microwaveable steamed buns in a few varieties. Great selections of rice, vegetables, tea, sweets, sauces, and cooking utensils. Expect a slight delay if you use a credit card because their processor is worn-out.
