Seattle’s New Restaurant Openings - Seattle - The Infatuation

"This Wallingford Mexican restaurant now has a second location in Leschi taking over the old Meet The Moon space—and since both spots are Heavy Restaurant Group places, we’re not shocked. The menu is identical to its northern sister spot, with classics like nachos, chopped salad, and blood orange margaritas, but this one may have some easier street parking. " - Kayla Sager Riley

Meet The Moon Review - Leschi - Seattle - The Infatuation

"Meet The Moon is a nice spot on the water in Leschi. If you have time for a full hot breakfast, sit at the bar and get the biscuits and maple chicken sausage gravy, a carne asada breakfast skillet, or avocado toast with lots of toppings. Wash it all down with some housemade shrubs. If you’re in more of a hurry, housemade baked goods from the pastry case aren’t a bad idea. The rotating dinner menu hardly disappoints with options like a solid fried chicken sandwich, a BLAT with garlic-chive aioli, and a DIY pork carnitas situation. Sure, we've had better versions of pretty much everything on Meet The Moon’s menu elsewhere in the city, but this restaurant consistently bails us out during the week when we lack the motivation to whip up something from the fridge (especially on a Monday). photo credit: Nate Watters" - Aimee Rizzo

Where To Eat & Drink Near Seattle Parks - Seattle - The Infatuation

"Meet The Moon is an all-day cafe with an alarming amount of options for before or after spending some time on the water at Leschi Park. The fact that you can get a giant cinnamon roll, chicken fingers, carnitas, tuna poke, and French toast during the same meal might seem like a red flag, but it all works. Use this spot for something casual no matter what time it is." - Aimee Rizzo

Had been to this place on Mother’s Day Eve. Thankfully this place did not have any reservations beforehand and walk-in was an option for someone who made last-minute plans for brunch on the special occasion. The staff was sweet and accommodating. We were a group of 4 adults and 2 kids. They offered the kids the drawing sheet and crayon set. We ordered half-nachos for the table. It was so delicious that we had to reorder again. For the mains, we ordered chilaquiles that were delicious. I ordered with both the sauces and they were so good. Good French toast and veggie scramble that was great too. The ambiance was great. They even offered outdoor sitting but since it was a little windy we preferred indoors.

I absolutely loved this place! From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere felt warm, cozy, and welcoming. The staff is incredibly professional and genuinely friendly — you can tell they enjoy what they do, and it shows in their service. Now the food — incredible. I tried several tacos, and the beets & beets taco was hands down my favorite. It’s so unique, flavorful, and unlike anything I’ve ever had. Please, do yourself a favor and try it — you’ll love it. The hongos asados (mushroom taco) was also fantastic, with rich, smoky flavors that were super satisfying. Also, don’t skip the ginger salsa — it’s got the perfect zing and spice, a great complement to everything on the menu. And shoutout to the mocktails — I loved them! So refreshing and well-crafted. This place really knows how to make the non-alcoholic drinks shine. Overall, amazing food, great drinks, cozy vibe, and top-tier service. I’ll definitely be coming back!

I got chilaquiles rojos. The chips were stale, soggy, not crisp, and probably out of a bag. The salsa roja was ok. I got a table quickly on a Saturday late morning and the vibes and atmosphere were nice enough.

Good atmosphere. It’s close to the water and you can do a nice walk afterwards. There are parking spots near the water a block away. It has one of the best enchiladas I’ve gotten in Seattle so far! Tasty with generous portions! The chips were very flavorful ~ they have a fragrant corn taste. I felt I could just eat them by themselves without salsa. Plus the chips were warmed up! The Cadillac Margarita I ordered was okay. I’m for sure coming back for the enchiladas and chips tho!!

Had an amazing brunch here with the entire family! This restaurant suited all of our different likes from food to beverages. The salmon eggs Benedict was amazing and highly recommended. Loved the many different beverage choices from great coffee to the Farmer’s Bloody Mary! We recommend this place and will hope to visit again if we come back to the area.

Google
Longtime customer for meet the moon, came out and supported the grand opening of Pablo y Pablo and was not disappointed! New drink options, great flavors, and same great caring service. We had the pozole which was really good and reminded me of my moms cooking so you know it’s good. Really big portion, could share with 2 or take some home. The tacos duo al pastor was perfect all around, finger licking flavors and just the right amount of food. The dulce de leches French toast was really underwhelming however, I will not get this dish again unless they revisit it. I think it would do better if they actually topped it with dulce de leche or Carmel topping with cinnamon would really bring this to life. Our drinks were great, hibiscus margarita and Mexican coffee with tequila! Loved the new options you guys thanks for being our gem in this neighborhood. And congratulations on opening! 🥳🙂

Google
I had really high expectations for this place, especially because it’s owned by Heavy Restaurant Group, which is the force behind Purple and also Barrio on Capitol Hill. However, my meal came up short. Unfortunately the chicken enchilada was cold even though it came out in a hot skillet. It looked like it hadn’t been cooked long enough, and I do know that the chicken and the cheese/tortilla were all premade and rolled up and sauce added on top, but it could’ve just been held in the oven slightly longer to give it a fully balanced heated throughout taste. It was delicious. It just wasn’t piping hot as I expected. I also have big gripes on the margarita. The guava margarita that I ordered was $14. If you can see in the photo the glass is completely filled to the rim with ice. This is not how I expected a $14 margarita to be. Especially in this tiny glass. It did taste very nice but there was hardly any drink for the price.

Google
I absolutely love this brunch option or their dog-friendly outdoor seating and fantastic food. I almost knocked a star for the long wait time and slow service but I think the food and atmosphere makes up for it. They have a good sized brunch menu with nice variety and exciting options. As other reviewers shared, the cinnamon roll is must-try. I tried the spiced steak skillet which had awesomely tender steak pieces and perfectly cooked eggs. My friend got the pork carnitas hash which I think I preferred overall because of the variety in texture from the tostada. Overall, I would happily go back again for a sunny day by the water. There are a couple walking distance parking lots along the water which makes for a nice stroll to the restaurant.

Yelp
This location is so fab, especially in the summer. The proximity to Gasworks park makes it a perfect summer date spot! Their margaritas are always good. Always. They kind of mix up the flavors here and there and I have never had a bad one. Don't be afraid of the fruity ones, they aren't too sweet. Food allergen pals can unite here. Lots of vegan options, even nachos, and they are pretty aware of gluten and dairy allergies and contamination. I never have issues at this location. The vegan nachos are classic, and I like the mushroom tacos for more of a happy hour vibe. The ambiance is sunny and cool, the staff is friendly and seem like they like working there, and the whole experience is just seamless and lovely. I am always recommending this spot to friends for a date night, whether its their first or 100th.

Yelp
I'm a fan of both Pablo y Pablo locations. The traffic pattern at the Leschi location is different - busy during weekend brunches, but frequently quiet on Friday nights. If you don't want to wander out to busy Fremont area, this location is often better for a quiet night. Service is always friendly, food is almost always great. This trip I had a trio of tacos - baja fish, carnitas, and ribeye bulgogi - and all were tasty. I sprung for a ghost pepper margarita - it wasn't extremely hot (by my standards), but definitely left my lips tingling and made me take my time and drink it slowly.

Yelp
I came by Pablo y Pablo with a friend for Sunday brunch and it did not disappoint! Located in Leschi, Pablo Y Pablo has extremely limited parking available. It's basically all street parking but it's shared with several other businesses and a local park nearby, making it hard to find parking around. When you walk in, you'll notice it gives off a very rustic yet cozy vibe to the establishment. They have both indoor and covered outdoor seating available and plenty of tables around. We were very quickly seated for a Sunday afternoon so we were thankful for that! Our server was very kind and was always checkin in on us making sure everything was okay. I ended up ordering the breakfast bowl, which came with scrambled eggs, salsa, guacamole, and potatoes. Even though I opted out of adding the additional meat choices, the bowl itself was so filling! I loved how the salsa and the guacamole added so much more flavor to the meal, and the potatoes were also the perfect combination of crispy yet soft. The portion size was also large enough for me to take home my leftovers! Overall, I really enjoyed my time dining at Pablo Y Pablo. Definitely a cute spot I'd love to check out again soon!

Yelp
Came here on a rainy Saturday for brunch (really, lunch, since it was nearly noon). Parking wasn't the best, since there wasn't a designated parking location for them (not that we found, anyway), but there was a park parking a block south, so not too bad. It wasn't totally empty inside but there were several tables. The place is pretty cute, though compared to the other restaurants on this block, a little easy to miss. The staff was friendly. We ordered a burrito bowl and a crab/shrimp eggs benedict. Both of the dishes were good, although a little on the salty side in my opinion-- the house potatoes especially were quite salty. (And I say this as a person who usually eats saltier food!) Prices were about expected for the area. They did hear me wrong/get my order slightly wrong while I was there (gave me fruit instead of potatoes at first), but they were extremely quick to fix it and very nice about it. :) They do have a bathroom, but you need to have a key to enter it (it's not in their unit, but a shared bathroom in the building). Overall, I'd probably come back to try some other dishes, but also not the highest on my to-eat list.

Yelp
We've gotten take out here multiple times and it's never disappointed me. When you can take something as nondescript as rice and beans and make them craveable, you're doing a good job. The vegan nachos get another shout out. Huge portions of tasty layers with a perfectly spiced cashew cheese and plenty of guacamole.

Yelp
Had dinner with my husband and son on Mother's Day - first time eating at Pablo Y Pablo and we had a wonderful experience! We didn't make a reservation, so no open tables but we were able to get seated at the bar (super comfy chairs). The food was delicious - I had the Chicken Chipotle Enchiladas (100% recommend) and my husband and son had the Carne Asada. Service was spot on and the manager went out of her way to ensure we had a memorable dinner. After many disappointing experiences at BluWater (poor service, mediocre food and very overpriced), I'm thrilled to have a new a go-to dining option in Leschi.

Yelp
I had previously been to Pablo y Pablo for breakfast and had a great experience. So this time my wife and I took a friend from out of town there for dinner. It was pretty busy, but a good vibe for a weekend dinner. The staff were solid as well, nothing over the top, but solid. I ordered the crispy pork carnitas and the mezcal margarita. They were both good, not great. I loved the sides in my meal but the pork itself wasn't very flavorful. As for the mezcal margarita, I would honestly recommend trying a different one on their menu first, unless you love mezcal. Overall, it's worth checking out but not my favorite Mexican spot in the city.

Yelp
Great food, great service, great Margis! What else can you ask for?! Check out the pic of the food, so good!

Yelp
Visited for Sunday brunch and was excited because I've driven past this place quite a few times. I ordered a margarita that was absolutely fantastic. A friend and I decided to split the breakfast burrito and while it was OK, it was nothing to write home about. It needed more seasoning and a little bit more pizzazz. I'm going give this place another try because I loved the customer service and the ambiance

Yelp
This place is cute but kinda easy to miss, the outdoor sitting area hides the restaurant. Food was OK Customer Service is good We arrived 1 hr before closing without realizing since we were walking around the area but it had some tables.

Yelp
Great drinks and ambiance! Our service was soft spoken, patient with our large group, and surprised our table with yummy churros and chocolate sauce for the birthday girl. Great little getaway spot for a family dinner in Leschi.

Matt C.

Yelp
We had an enjoyable dinner. Nachos were a perfect starter for four. The tacos were enjoyable with the ability to choose any combo of flavors. I'll likely get the enchiladas next time because my friend loved them -- and it's a big portion too. Margaritas were on point. Service was relative good too. With the negative reviews, I was pleasantly surprised. I miss Meet The Moon too, though I think this is just as good, just different.

Mat C.

Yelp
DO NOT EAT HERE!!! I just came here for brunch with my family of four and the place was completely empty, we stood at the hostess counter for 15 minutes, and not a single person even acknowledged our presence. Servers and the hostess walked past us multiple times, and the bartender kept looking in our direction. But not a single person even acknowledged our presence. I am not at all surprised this place is a ghost town! THIS PLACE IS A MUST SKIP! PFFT!

Yelp
It's okay. We miss Meet the Moon. We have tried dinner once and brunch twice. Dinner was okay. Nothing amazing, but willing to try again to see if we selected different items we would like it more. Breakfast we initially loved. Pictures are from our first visit. However the second time it wasn't the same. The burrito was falling apart and was sloppily put together. The french toast was slightly burnt and I swear the syrup the second time wasn't as good. The first visit the syrup tasted special like they added vanilla or some Dulche leche in it. Likely will go back again to see if the second brunch was just a bad day. Indoor or outdoor seating here is great. And the staff is nice.

Yelp
This was my 1st time here, a friend and I went for brunch. Our server was great. Wait time is a little too long for drinks. Food was just OK. Nothing extraordinary. Pretty basic.

Molly M.

Yelp
Went for their beach party and my friends and I had a great time!! We were blown away by the food selection. The carnitas tacos were SO good! They also had duck meatballs!! The staff were very friendly and fun conversations. I wasn't sold on it but we will be back as regulars!

Yelp
Drinks are good. Service not so much. And the food is "meh" at best - I got the kale and mushroom bowl for which I had high hopes, and it was very bland with just a glob of cheese melted right in the middle. We were going to get dessert and a second drink, but the service took so long we ended up just getting our check and leaving (which also took forever between getting the check dropped off and paying). Maybe if you sit inside you get better service, but outside you're an after thought.

Yelp
Very disappointing. Meet the moon was spectacular, was shocked it's now Pablo Y Pablo. One win is that you don't have to wait for an hour, but there's a reason. Just about all of the experience has been a huge letdown. From drinks to food quality, it's average at best. Meet The Moon was the place you'd drive for and wait in line for. Don't think we'd make the drive again.

Yelp
Beautiful interior, great seating, and incredibly kind, family-friendly staff. That was our starting point. Of course, they had every opportunity to go wrong on food, but they absolutely did not disappoint. We started with guacamole, chips, and some of the best salsa I've ever had. It was the first time I had to pay for salsa, so I was initially a little turned off, but then I tasted it. Delicious. (It was their salsa verse, just in case you're interested). My wife tried the carne asada skillet. She liked it, and I enjoyed the taste, but I found it a little too heavy. The pork belly Benedict was mindblowingly good. My wife ended up stealing half of my meal. We had some excellent coffee and a delicious non-alcoholic glass of wine. We finished with the dulce de leche crème brûlée. Very dangerous for those on a diet (I was, before I came here). Altogether, it was top-notch, our first time here and we love the place!

Yelp
Ordered online for pickup. Super easy to order and pay. Didn't know what to expect since this was my first time there. Greeted at the door by a nice guy with a big smile who went to collect my order. I had 2 fish tacos which were beyond delicious and the Pablo Chopped salad with carnitas which was also delicious! Welcome to the neighborhood! Next time I'm dining in and will be enjoying a few margaritas!

Yelp
Went for brunch. Wow what a rip off!!! If your "vegan chilaquiles" is just some chips with a smear of something (that doesn't even taste good) for $15, you should be ashamed of yourself. My pozole was broth with literally 3 little chunks of pork for $19. Didn't come with tortillas, and was super bland. I understand that food prices are very high right now but this restaurant is absolutely exploiting their customers. We were asked what we thought of the food and gave our honest opinion of which they were not very receptive. If you don't want to know what your customers think of the food, don't ask them. This is purely a money grab, stay away.

Craig W.

Yelp
Great negroni riff. Great happy hour. Taquitos were excellent. Crisp but not tough, great filling, excellent presentation. Perfect guacamole.

Kelley L.

Yelp
Dela is not a good manager. She doesn't care if her servers serve the right food or drink. She is rude and clearly thinks she doesn't need customers to be successful. Don't come here.

Cole P.

Yelp
So good! Very underrated spot. Got the pork breakfast hash and give it a 8.9/10. Great service

Adrianna P.

Yelp
I was about to head into the Blu Water when I saw the sign for Pablo Y Pablo and had no idea they opened up that location. We got the birria tacos (so good) and the chips and salsa were addictive lol. Cocktails were amazing. I got the pozole, but it was a little bland. That's the only reason why I'm giving them 4 stars. We'll definitely be back!

Kimber K.

Yelp
Margaritas were great. Guacamole and chips good too. Tacos were mediocre and kind of dry.

Scott M.

Yelp
Soul-less uninspired corporate theme restaurant. We were excited to see a new choice in the Leschi neighborhood, but we won't be back.

Sadia M.

Yelp
Poor management, food is bland/ okay okay. Nothing extraordinary. Would Not recommend for the price charged and service
