Nestled near Union Square, Pacific Cocktail Haven dazzles with inventive cocktails inspired by Asian flavors in a chic, tropical atmosphere.
"Although this bar is as busy as they come, you’ll be greeted with a menu to peruse as soon as you walk in. Pacific Cocktail Haven, better known as PCH, boasts some of the most talented bartenders in the country and serves their creative and thoughtful cocktails without arrogance. The curvy design of the drink rail rolls in and out like waves, grouping people in a comfortable way that doesn’t feel too crowded — even at its peak. Guests are encouraged to try a cocktail with flavor combos they’ve maybe never considered, such as an Oh Snap! with gin, sherry, and snap peas. The highball menu can serve as an appetizer or a fun in-between while deciding on your next cocktail adventure." - Andrew Calisterio
"This winter, New York City–born holiday pop-up Miracle is returning Pacific Cocktail Haven once again, from Friday, November 29 through Tuesday, December 31. Expect over-the-top holiday decor and cocktails served in Santa head-shaped mugs. It’s on a first-come, first-served basis." - Lauren Saria, Justine Jones
"PCH, as regulars adoringly call it, is an understated Union Square tiki bar that goes beyond the mai tais and zombies you’ll see at similar places around the city (looking at you Tonga Room). Instead, you’ll have your choice of cocktails with ingredients like li-hing mui, salted pandan, and black sesame honey. Some of the combos are unexpected, but they all work. Scotch with buttered popcorn, nori, and wasabi might sound like the leftovers of a takeout sushi and movie night, but it makes for a delicious drink. As the name would suggest, the atmosphere is relaxed and leans into the tropical theme, with just the right amount of palm fronds. " - julia chen 1, ricky rodriguez, patrick wong, lani conway
"The creative cocktail selection at this Nob Hill spot includes three punch options that are served, impressively, in large crystal decanters with spigots. Fans of a good Pimm’s Cup will love the Pimm’s Punch option, made here with fresh strawberries along with cucumber, mint, and ginger beer. But the most complex and delicious of the trio is the Louisville Slugger, made with Larceny Bourbon, carpano bianco vermouth, guava, calamansi, grapefruit soda, and bitters." - Jay C. Barmann
"The negroni is a popular drink, well, everywhere, but Pacific Cocktail Haven’s version is one that flips the classic cocktail on its head. Best American Bartender (and PCH owner) Kevin Diedrich infuses flavor into the drink via coconut-washed Campari and pandan cordial, making for a relaxing, tropical riff on the Italian classic." - Lauren Saria
