The staff is amazing! Especially Katie! Katie is always positive, helpful and kind. I saw her helping servers clear plates from tables. The food is delicious! Hats off to the kitchen staff! I think the prices are reasonable for the quality of food.

This is a great local restaurant. Many people know each other by name. The staff is great and owner is always friendly and attentive. They often cater to the karaoke and live music crowds. There are certain times of day/night that the scene is more beneficial to specific groups. Overall, a great experience!

Went out for my birthday and was very impressed. The appetizer came out in perfect timing before our main meal. Fast service, our waiter was amazing the food was even better. Will definitely be coming back!

Google
Definitely a place to check out... the atmosphere is wonderful. Everything is clean. The food was great. The service was good (sit at the bar and Chris will make sure your glass (and plate) are full)! I'll definitely come back. The bruschetta burrata is INCREDIBLE and I had the Tour of Italy and every bite was incredible.

We came for Pacinos Got Talent. Update. Everything was great but the food. I had to give a 5 star review in order to give my friend more points in the singing contest. I would not trust the reviews. Today my friend was the only one eliminated because her people didn't buy enough food.

It is incredibly bad for my wallet and waistline that I found this place! The food is delicious (meatballs are a fan favorite for a reason) and the service is always so friendly. Noelle (not sure if that’s how you spell it) was a very fun and friendly bartender! She always forgets to grab my tab when I ask for it, but it’s always with the best intentions because she is usually chatting and making connections with other patrons. Overall, I’ve been looking for a place like this in the east valley, and I’m glad I found Pacinos.

A group of 4 of us stopped in for Sunday brunch around 11am, and WOW! We were immediately seated and got menus to look over. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. There was a young man with a guitar and keyboard providing live music. The food was great and the atmosphere was awesome. The music was easily heard where we sat, but not too loud as we were still able to carry on a conversation. So many wonderful looking menu items that we will definitely have to go back again to try more of their menu. We'll worth your trip over to try this place!!!

Below is a screenshot of my original review and the horrible response to my review! I never said in my review that he was yelling at his employees. What I said was that he was trash talking them  loudly and openly to someone.  His comments were so loud that every customer nearby could hear them, which was not only unprofessional but downright embarrassing for his staff. I’ve been a business owner for over 25 years, and my employees have stayed with me for more than 15 of those years. Why? Because I respect them, recognize their value, and would never publicly degrade them the way Mr. Frank did. If this is how he speaks about his staff in front of customers, I can only imagine how much worse it is behind closed doors. Yes, maybe Frank contributed in some way to the restaurant’s limited success, but let’s be real: he is not the reason the place stays open. A business runs on customer service and the employees who deliver it not an owner with a bad attitude and no respect for his team. The food can be decent anywhere, but no one wants to come back if the service feels poisoned by a toxic work environment. And if Frank can’t understand that, then he has no business running a restaurant. Worst of all, his defensive and dismissive response to our experience (and others’ experiences based off his responses to other reviews) just confirmed everything I suspected. After years of coming here, I will not be back. I will also make sure my friends, family, and social media network know exactly how this place treats its staff and customers. Pacino’s lost more than one table that night, they lost my loyalty for good.

Yelp
Second time here and was not a disappointment. The Bruschetta Burrata was on point with the Burrata cheese. The short rib ravioli was awesome, it had a very fancy name, but we will just call it short rib. Good flavor and was filled with meat. The pappardelle Bolognese was a perfect blend and loved the flavor. Service was very good and all the staff was friendly.

Yelp
Food is really good, portions are small for how much you pay. Service seems like it would be really great however our server didn't move with a purpose, and wasn't done very quickly. Everything came out correctly aside from one thing and I think it was because of a language barrier. This will either be your favorite restaurant you go to frequently or a one and done. The ambiance is very romantic and warm. Thanks for good food Pacino's!

Yelp
Brought all the girls down for ladies night this Tuesday!!! Awesome martini specials-- recommend the white Lotus. Yummy! Happy hour all night pizzas are delicious!!!

Yelp
I love this place! I've been here several times and the happy hour food and drinks are great! I usually sit at the bar and have been served by Chris and Ashlee. They are great, always happy and come right over to serve me. They make great drinks and make me feel welcome always! Good customer service goes a long way these days! Thursday nights are a blast with the karaoke ...always fun to watch!

Rudy G.

Yelp
Awesome cucumber Bloody Mary and Cranberry Mimosa and Pacino's famous Sunday brunch. Great brunch menu as well. Fantastic way to end the weekend. Great ambiance plus live music and service that is always top notch.

Yelp
I suggested going there the other night and my husband said isn't that the place that smells like the sewer? I said well last time we were there yes but let's give it another try. The sewer smell is pretty strong in that restaurant. Smells like the sewer backing up and that's all I could taste when I was eating my food. Took forever to get our check when we were ready to go. The service was not great

Yelp
A "Paw"some Experience at Pacino's If you're looking for "paws"itively perfect Italian dining spot in Mesa, Pacino's is where it's at! I have been coming here for years for their karaoke on Thursday nights and now for brunch on Sundays. The staff was accommodating with my furry friend and my pup really loved his bacon! "Bone" Appétit!

Yelp
If you know me, then you know I'm a caprese aficionado. Always looking for a great Caprese, which led my Yelp Bestie Chelsey H. and I to check this establishment out as we found via the Yelp App. Yelpies usually have the best recommendations! We came on a fairly busy Friday night, but they have ample seating inside so we had no wait. Our server was very attentive even with multiple tables, and the band being quite loud right next to our booth. They even had great recommendations and helped us decide on what to order. I'm happy to say the caprese was amazing, and I really enjoyed the pasta dish we ordered as well. The pizza flavor wasn't my favorite, but it was still really good! I know Chelsey said it was great as leftovers. Next time, we will try a different flavor as the crust/sauce was amazing! All in all, we definitely see us coming back!

Yelp
Absolutely Disgraceful - Save Your Money and Go Elsewhere We came in for what we hoped would be a pleasant Mother's Day brunch. Unfortunately, this place delivered nothing but disappointment and attitude. I ordered the Hash and Eggs--a $17 plate that looked like it came straight out of a microwaved can of Hormel's. The potatoes were clearly frozen--think Ore Ida, straight from the bag--and the single slice of bread tossed on the plate felt like an afterthought. The kicker? I didn't even touch the entree. When we politely brought this to the attention of the staff, the owner came over--not to apologize--but to argue. He was defensive, dismissive, and acted like removing the untouched food from the bill was a personal insult. For a business charging premium brunch prices, the quality was rock-bottom and the customer service even worse. We left appalled--not just at the food, but at the way we were treated. If you're looking for overpriced canned food and a side of attitude, this is your spot. Otherwise, do yourself a favor and spend your money somewhere that actually values its guests. I only wish I had taken a photo to share of what it looked like, but you will get something that looks like the attached photo. Response to owner: Hey Frank, if that mystery meat really was made to order, let's put it to the test. Post a video on your restaurant's Instagram of your chef whipping up that corned beef hash from scratch--no cans, no smoke, no mirrors--and show us how it's actually plated. If it looks anything like what we were served, I'll tip my hat, delete the review, and even recommend the place to people I don't like. But if it doesn't, maybe it's time to retire the "made to order" claim and just embrace the Hormel life.

Yelp
7/20/24: Wow. Just wow. Excellent food, friendly staff, Pacino memorabilia all over the place (well, duh), a spotless interior with a large patio. What more could you need? Oh, music!! We are definitely going to return to Pacino's because if you see the brunch/lunch menu, oh baby, we want some of that! Our server, Javier, was exceptional: polite, funny, and just on top of everything. We never had to ask for drink refills or for the table to be cleared off to make room for more food. He was constantly checking in on us from the moment we sat down, and for the entire 2 hrs we were there enjoying the ambiance and delicious food. Appetizers: bread w/ vinegar & oil, caprese board, fried artichoke. Awesome. The artichokes being fried was a new experience for all of us; we had to force ourselves to stop munching or we wouldn't be able to eat our meals. We did devour the bread, though! Meals: chicken picatta, malenzane parmigiana (eggplant, gnocchi), taste of Italy (lasagna, chicken parm, fettucine alfredo). All of it hot, well flavored, loaded with cheese, and just damn good. Again, we had to stop because there was no way we were missing dessert. Desserts: dolce vita (pizza with ricotta, blueberries, basil, thin crust), salted caramel cheesecake, mousse di limone. All of it: well worth the calories! The pizza was on the menu as being black, not blue, berries, but that was the only hiccup with our entire orders. Pacino's was a 40 minute drive for us but as alluded earlier, we will definitely make that drive again. Such a great place!

Yelp
The ambience was good. The food was fine. The bartender was attentive, but you are one of the very few who charge extra for credit card processing. Do you want us to pay for your cable TV bill Also, ???maybe your utility bill??? it's cheesy... and sleazy.. it's cheap. It's a cost of doing business.. Just wrap it into your regular pricing. Otherwise people are going to deduct that from their tip..... and the bartender shorted me the change due back.... Grossing up the bill. Not good. I took it out of his tip.... And then some. You guys need to get smarter.

Yelp
This was our first time trying Pacino's and it was a great experience. We got there at 4:30 and sat in the bar so we could take advantage of their happy hour specials. The only thing to be aware of is that happy hour only goes until 5:00 unlike most restaurants where it's 6:00. However our waiter did let us order a second round of drinks before the cut off so there was no problem. They had a very nice bar area with ability to sit at the bar, high top tables, low top tables, outside tables with misters, or the outside bar that opens to the inside. The dining room looked nice as well. My husband and I both ordered martinis which were good. The waiter, Jason, wanted to make sure it was to our liking so he brought us out more olive juice to dirty it up more. That was such a nice gesture. For dinner I chose the garlic salmon, it was served on a bed of creamy risotto and asparagus spears and was delicious. I'm just sorry I didn't take a picture to share. My husband got the spaghetti and Grandma's meatballs. The portion was large with two huge meatballs, my husband really liked it. He only ate half, it was so much, and gets to enjoy the other half for another dinner. Finally a big shout out to Jason, our waiter! He made our experience extra special. He had a great sense of humor and was very attentive. We even enjoyed the funny drawing he left for us on the back of the bill. We will definitely be back soon!

Yelp
I was served raw chicken in my Chicken piccata. Meals are not consistent. My server Xavier was terrific and apologized and offered a new dish and free dessert.

Yelp
I placed a pasta order for pickup last night and was surprised when the girl up front said the pizza had just been put in the oven. Concerned, we made sure to clarify that we were picking up pasta and ended up waiting 30 minutes past the due pick up time but were assured they didn't make a mistake with our order. Based on the circumstances, they had obviously made a mistake but were unfortunately dishonest about it. The food wasn't terrible but it wasn't the best quality. If you're looking for a place to eat, I'd continue to look for better service and quality.

Yelp
Pacino's Restaurant Real Italian is a killer spot with killer, AUTHENTIC Italian and killer folks! Grade A. #1 with a bullet! My friend Karen recommended this for a get together we were doing and it was perfect! Frank, the owner, was there and made sure everything was perfect and set up to look great. The bartenders were friendly and the food was fantastic! They have live music and a great patio. A great variety of italian food and it's a locally owned, family run business. I recommend. 2831 N Power Rd, Mesa (mcdowell & power)

Yelp

Yelp
In 2014, not long after moving to the Valley of the Sun I visited and reviewed Pacino's favorably and after that many years of visiting have found them not only just as tasty, homey, flavorful, and terrific, but especially consistent in their offerings throughout the years. This is a very, very, very hard thing for any restaurant and especially a local one to do. Pacino's Italian is one of those places you simply have to 'return to' that we've discovered in the Valley. Although we live in Phoenix, Pacino's is well worth our drive. Everything we've tried on the menu has always been very good - no, excellent, and especially Grandma's Balls are a must! We get them every visit. As I've mentioned before, overall, this is the kind of place you can go to have a quiet meal, without hustle and bustle and have the choice a comfortable and relaxing inside or the rustic yet comforting outside, with a fireplace to boot! As a Brooklynite, I hold Frank Spaccarelli's Bronx upbringing dear, where I know he was thoroughly deep-rooted in Italian everything, especially where Italian Cooking in the U.S. has no comparison. Keep it up Chef, kudos to your cooks and staff for a job super extremely well done. You can be sure we'll continue coming back.

Yelp
You will feel at home but please remember that you are not... They said to get the cannoli's. Still want to come back for the Brunch.

Yelp
We were invited to Pacino's to celebrate a cousin's birthday. We were there at around 7:30pm. Restaurant wasn't full, with the bar having more people than the dining room. Restaurant is simple, and tables were clean. Lighting could be improved. The way it was positioned and with a shiny menu, I was having trouble reading the menu. Our waitress (I wish I had her name) came to our table pretty quickly and after we looked at the menu, we ordered our appetizers and our main dishes. We ordered the fried calamari, mozzarella sticks and artichoke hearts to share for appetizers. For mains, I ordered the Spaghetti Amore which comes with grilled chicken and a roasted red pepper and sun dried tomato cream sauce. My husband ordered the chicken parmigiana. The appetizers were good, with the fried calamari being the best, followed by the cheese sticks. The artichoke hearts were somewhat undercooked and chewy. They also had some rough bits that should have been removed but they were just ok. My dish was absolutely fantastic!! Spaghetti cooked perfectly Al dente and the sauce and flavors just working so well together, it was so delicious!! I literally finished my whole plate and could have had more! This will be the dish that will make me go back. My husband said his chicken parmigiana was just ok, he would rather try something different next time. Everyone else at the table seemed to enjoy their dishes as well. The kids ravioli was not a hit though. During our time there, our waitress checked in on us multiple times and offered to refill our waters. She was very attentive, nice and welcoming. We all loved her service! Just before we left, people were starting to sing karaoke. The majority were pros with great voices, including the bar tender who did a stunning job! Overall, we had a nice experience. The prices are slightly on the higher side but still ok. The restaurant is celebrating their 10th year anniversary. Give them a try and support a good local business in NE Mesa!

Yelp
I was so embarrassed. I sat at the bar and the bartender refused to wait on me or acknowledge me. I asked for a wine list and she waited on 4 more people before bringing it. Then she completely forgot my order. Walking around the bar like a bird, looking this way and that and completely ignoring me. I finally had to ask another bartender about my drink. Someone at the bar told me the owner doesn't care about regular customers either. I definitely won't be back. I drove out of my way to come here, spent $60 for dinner and for nothing but inconsiderate service. I left a 20% tip but should have left nothing. Still regretting it.

Don H.

Yelp
the food is fantastic with Great choices and the staff is awesome. Heather , Ashley , Chris , Dan and Ari are always cheerful and ready to serve. and its always good to see Frank the owner there.

Yelp
The food was delicious! They allowed us to change our noodles out. They had so many different noodle choices you could tell you were at an Italian restaurant. Tracy our server was very polite and fantastic during our meal. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Very conveniently located Italian restaurant in Mesa. A part of the larger complex you're bound to found parking. I highly recommend a reservation as I did not have one, so we found seating at the bar. For appetizers we chose the fresh fruit and cheese board as well as truffle fries. The truffle fries were gone before I even got to try one. Those were amazing to say the least. I got the Bolognese pasta super fresh and filling. They have dinner specials which were extremely delicious and consumed to their entirety by my family. As far as drinks, we got mocktails and wine all very good. The bartender was our server and she did an excellent job, very attentive everything was super quick. The dining set up outside looked gorgeous, I would love to get a seat out there sometime.

Flying-mack M.

Yelp
Took takeway, was so pleased to find I was given 9 gnocchi, counted them mysel, this is ridiculous.

Darlene D.

Yelp
Delicious/Authentic Italian Food Excellent service, with a warm welcome. We have recommended it to friends and making reservations for this weekend.

Amanda C.

Yelp
This is our go-to spot! We love the food, the staff, and Frank is great and always walks around and speaks to his customers. Karaoke on Thursday is always a great time, and we can't say enough good things about Pacinos!
google avatar

Alishia P.

Yelp
I have been here twice and the staff has been amazing both times. We came for new years tonight and were treated like regulars. The owner was here and takes great pride in every dish served. There was an amazing guitar player tonight, he played a great mix of older and newer music and it was loud enough to enjoy but not over power the conversation between my boyfriend and I. We will definitely be back.

Jo B.

Yelp
Pacino's makes the best pizza in town. They use a high gluten flour, Stanislaus tomatoes and whole milk mozzarella cheese. They cook it in a legit pizza oven. It's awesome. I love the pizza peels on the walls. Frank the owner was born and raised in the Bronx by second generation Italians.

Yelp
We had an absolutely wonderful experience today at Pacino's. Our server Ali W made sure of it! Five of us sat on the patio and enjoyed lunch and the first day of cooler temps. Ali was very attentive, friendly and always made sure we had enough water. Before we knew it 3 hours had passed. For a special treat, Ali brought each of us a complimentary mini cannoli. We all appreciated this Italian treat which Ali told us is made entirely in house. The next time you head to Pacino's, ask to sit in Ali's section ; you won't be disappointed!

George S.

Yelp
This was a great Easter buffet today. It started off great with the service that Heather and Ashley provided that made our meal so enjoyable. They were friendly and attentive to all our needs. That makes for a great meal in itself. This was a buffet and you have an owner who's breakin his behind making sure all your trays are filled with food. Another 5 stars!! And Louis crankin on the prime rib ,and not talkin cutting you cheesy slices. He's being generous with that meduim rare delicious grade A beef and slappin on that Au Jus with a side of horse radish. The deviled eggs were to die for. I've cooked in restaurants for years and these were killer. The scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage were excellent. Then you move onto some salmon, chix catch, pasta, shrimp, ceasar salad, etc. Everything was excellent. The only hiccup was the food could have been hotter. BUT sometimes hotter means if you come late the food gets dried out so that's a catch 22. Take that info how you want to take it. All in all this is 100% WORTH IT FOLKS......TRUST ME it's a home run for the money. We'll be back during the week for regular dining. PS. The music was awesome as well.....loved it. Not to low,not to loud and great picks! VERY enjoyable.

Yelp
We did an online order to go and there was a soft drinks on the order. Got home and realized we didn't get the drink we ordered. Called back and I was told we don't do soft drinks to go and it shouldn't be on the menu. I was charged. I asked for a credit and a I was told a manager would call. It's been 2 weeks. For this reason I will never recommend a place where management cannot call back a customer they overcharged. Terrible way to run a business.

Yelp
This place is awesome! Hubby and I went here last night for a drink and some wings. We sat at the bar. This restaurant is really nice. There is TVs at the bar, we sat at the bar and were greeted by Crissy and Jason, two amazing bartenders. There is a huge option of wine available and several beers on tap many unique ones as well as local. My husband ordered wings, these wings were huge! The sauce they were tossed in was a honey hot and super good. Beers were cold, place was super busy while attentive staff was keeping everyone happy. I highly recommend this place rather for a date night or just any night!! Oh!! I forgot to mention there is a really nice patio and there was a live band that was excellent.
google avatar

Eileen P.

Yelp
Some of the worst Italian we have experienced. Came here on a whim when our "go to" spot was full. Bad move! We tried the Italian wedding soup first. The noodle pearls were complete mush in a flavorless broth. The meatballs were hard little chunks of meat. I had 3 of those in my bowl. We shared a pizza. Soggy crust and minimal toppings. Not a place I would ever return to.
google avatar

Yelp
This has become our go-to both for a quick happy hour or a longer dinner with friends and family. The bar area is lively and the food is solid from the pizza to the pasta.

Yelp
The food was great! We had quick service and it was karaoke night! The ambiance was so chill and fun!

Yelp
My wife and I love the food and atmosphere at Pacino's Restaurant. They have live music some of the days of the week which adds to the dining experience and the wait staff are very friendly and welcoming. Our waiter remembered my wife and I from our first time dining there and he welcomed us back. The homemade pastas and sauces are so delicious and I always look forward to going back to try something different on their menu.

Mark G.

Yelp
We met some friends there for dinner and the service, food and the ambiance was excellent! We had a sausage pizza and the garlic bread with marinara, which were both great... our friends ordered the bruschetta and the Taste of Italy. They loved it also~We will definitely be back!

Yelp
I don't know why I have not posted a review about this fun local place until now. I guess when I remembered that they have brunch, on Sunday, I was motivated to spread the word! I've been to Pacinos many times, for Social hour, dinner, and also brunch on Sunday. I don't think I have ever had a bad meal or service. The restaurant is spacious with a large bar area and patio with misters. There are lots of "Godfather" artifacts inside and it has a sleek Italian vibe. The dinner menu is Italian food but brunch covers all the typical menu items. Today I was surprised to see a "specials" menu which I always love because it's a chance to have some thing different or seasonal! My husband did the build your own omelette, which also comes with breakfast potatoes. I chose the broccoli frittata off the specials menu, and it was chock-full of sautéed broccoli with a generous serving of melted cheese on top. I added a mimosa, and it was the perfect breakfast. Our server was very pleasant and checked on us often. She even brought over a little sample of the whiskey maple syrup that they served with the cornflake crusted French toast, and that made me really wish I had chose it for my entrée! Pacinos has lots of things happening throughout the week, different specials, music, and right now they are even hosting a talent competition with a $5000 grand prize! If you are in Northeast Mesa, you should definitely check out Pacinos!

Yelp
We took my mother in law here to celebrate her 78th bday. It was an amazing experience; from the great atmosphere, to the delicious food, to the world class service that we received. We had a party of 8 ppl. Dishes ranged from , lasagna, fish, veal, chk parm, and lobster ravioli. The presentation with each dish was tastefully done. The waiter kept our drinks full, gave us fresh plates and forks for our amazing cannolis and cheesecake. I highly recommend this restaurant for a nice outing with your friends and family. I will definitely be back.

Russell B.

Yelp
Not my best experience with Italian restaurants Meat was overdone, wine ok, but salad was the worst. That was my first and last time for this place
google avatar

Lynn T.

Yelp
I had made the reservations two weeks prior to coming, requesting an outside patio table for a party of seven, to celebrate our adult daughters birthday, they were all from out of town. When we arrived, we were led to an outside bar top table with a gas fireplace down the middle, it was a windy night, so the smell was intense, I said that this would not work for us, but alas, they had no other tables so we had them turn the gas grill off and took the only table left to us, and was actually only set for six so we had to squeeze in another stool! (I do not like sitting bar top stools as it makes my legs and feet swell ) It was a disappointment for me for sure, but tried to make the best of it. Service was attentive, drinks were OK, my daughter ordered a Negroni, and it was served in a wine glass with ice, apparently bartender does not know that it is a drink shaken and poured in a glass dinner was pretty good, but not great, a little flavorless

Yelp
Four health violations are unacceptable in this day and age. This just shows a lack of ownership and management caring. The concept of having a nice Italian restaurant in far east mesa is a lost cause. The one time I complained about the service there, the owner wanted to argue with me. Plenty of other new places showing up in this side of town.

Brian D.

Yelp
Love Love Love this place! The best bartender in the valley Allie works here and she is amazing! The Ossobuco was tender, flavorful and this from a full blooded Italian from New York! The best in Mesa! Definitely worth checking this place out!

Mary M.

Yelp
The Caesar dressing tastes like straight mayo. The spaghetti and fettuccine Alfredo was pretty flavorless. I couldn't even finish the meatball on the spaghetti, it was so bad.

Yelp
Pacino's was recommended to my wife at her work. After a few weeks of her wanting to try this place out. We took my mother with us on our visit. All three of us were very impressed. We tried a few different pasta dishes, and enjoyed them all. We enjoyed the atmosphere, the service was great. Overall we had an outstanding experience.

Yelp
We gave this restaurant a try on Saturday night. Had a really cool neighborhood Italian restaurant feel inside. Clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We didn't order any drinks but we did decide to get an appetizer. I tried the calamari. Without question the best calamari I have ever had in Phoenix. It was expertly cooked. It was tender and flavorful, not the least bit rubbery. The batter was light, fresh and delicious. I could have eaten two plates of just the calamari. One plus they did serve bread with the meal. The bread was average, not the rustic Italian bread that I prefer. My wife got the chicken parmigiana, the chicken was tender and flavorful. It was well cooked and I would recommend it. I got The taste of Italy meal, it included lasagna, chicken parmigana and fettuccine alfredo. I would say the fettuccine alfredo is probably the one thing that didn't seem to fit the dynamic of the plate. It just was not exceptional. I would also say that the meal could have been a little bit warmer as far as temperature was concerned. The lasagna and the chicken parmigiana were very good though. We ordered an apple gorgonzola salad to split and it was absolutely delicious. Our server Brittney did a very nice job making sure our water glasses and sodas were topped off and taking dishes away for us as we were done with them.
