So, this place certainly looks like a hole in the wall. The inside ambience is not remarkable either. However, the food is authentic. The chefs and servers know their food and we loved every item. Portions are not super great but decent. Spice levels can be adjusted as we wish.

Google
This place has delicious food. I've been twice. First I got the Tom Yum which was great. Today I got the pumpkin red curry, and it was absolutely delicious. My daughter enjoyed it, too. Our waitress was wonderful, very nice. I highly recommend this place, and I'll certainly be back again.

Google
This place deserves 5 stars. It's very clean, the service is great (friendly husband and wife duo), food is delicious, and the price is really good! We are so happy that we found this gem. The food is made to order. We didn't wait long to get our dishes, but knowing that the food was cooked to order, we were happy about that. We got the Avocado Rings, spicy edamame, pad see ew (1 spice level), and pad wood sen (-1 spice level...lol). All of our dishes had great flavors. It was seasoned well. The service was so good. Absolutely, friendly service and helpful. If it gets busy, the food is worth the wait. Food is fresh! Don't be quick to leave. It's so good. Trust me, my mom is very picky about eating Thai food, and she loved this place. It was our first time and we were glad that we came. I'm definitely bringing the rest of my family here.

Google
Great food with ok service. Make sure you ask for any diet restrictions for each dish you get. The spaghetti dishes were creative and surprisingly very good. The tom kha soup with tofu was also great

I’ve been to at least 30 different Thai restaurants all over Texas. This one is by far the best Pad Kee Mao I have ever had. I got the Pad Kee Mao Chicken Spicy Level 4. You can’t go wrong with it. I’ll be back! Service was exceptional too and very friendly.

Google
This review was taken out for some reason. It is from Apr 2022 Food is ok. Owner was nice. I had the green curry. Not very green but it was good. The fried avocadoes were really good. I have only been back a couple of times. I got the beef salad. It was tough and small compared to the place I usually go to.

Padaek in Irving is a flavor explosion that deserves a standing ovation! Tucked away at 120 S Main St, this Laotian gem is serving up some of the best Thai and Laotian dishes I’ve ever tasted, and I’m still dreaming about their Tom Kha and Tom Yum soups. The Tom Kha is a creamy, coconutty masterpiece with such depth of flavor—lemongrass, galangal, and lime leaves dance together in a way that’s so complex, it’s like a symphony in a bowl. The Tom Yum? Oh, it’s a spicy, sour knockout with that same unforgettable richness, punching you with bold, authentic Thai vibes. I’ve had these soups everywhere, and Padaek’s versions are hands-down the best I’ve ever tasted. Then there’s the pineapple fried rice—sweet, savory, and studded with juicy pineapple chunks that make every bite a tropical party. It’s so good, I’m tempted to write it a love letter. The spice levels here are perfection; I go for a 5 because I love a fiery challenge, and they nail it with just the right burn. But if you prefer mild, they’re spot-on with a no-spice or 1-star request, sticking faithfully to your preference without losing an ounce of flavor. The staff is friendly, the prices are reasonable and the carryout is quick and easy. Padaek is a must-visit for anyone craving authentic, soul-warming Southeast Asian food in Irving. Support this local treasure—you won’t regret it

Google
Do not place any online orders: I had a terrible experience with this restaurant twice. I placed an online order, and my credit card was charged and I even got the email confirmation of the order, but when I arrived to pick it up, the owner told me they had no record of my order. When I tried to explain that I had already paid and showed them the charge on my card, the owner was incredibly rude and unhelpful. They refused to even try to resolve the issue or provide the food I had paid for. I lost so much time trying to sort this out. Their customer service is absolutely horrible. The lack of customer service and the owner's disrespectful attitude made this a truly frustrating and disappointing visit. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Yelp
My beautiful wife and I really liked this place. It is nice having a place like this within walking distance of our house. When we went, I ordered the Thais Basil Chicken with rice. The food came out quick and it was delicious. Definitely well worth the visit. The place was nice on the inside and the service was friendly. Please check this place out.

Yelp
Delicious food. Service is so so but will go back for the flavors Reccomend egg rolls and pad thai

Yelp
This place is close to my job. I eat here often! I love a couple of their items. I really like all the curry options, the fried rice and the Tom Yum. I recommend any of those :) their egg rolls and spring rolls are great too.

Yelp
Amazing food and service! Don't miss out on this hidden gem. We started with the chicken satay. It was fresh and hot and delicious. My dining partner ordered the Tom Yum noodles, I ordered Latb with chicken. Both worse amazing and we are going to come back for sure! It's not a fancy place, but it's clean and the food is delicious and fresh.

Yelp
Been wanting to come here for a long time and was fully expecting a 5-star review which makes it a bit disappointing I need to give it only 4. Perhaps the numerous, glowing reviews of the Crying Tiger entree raised my expectations... or maybe it was just a bad night. But I didn't find it to be anything special and actually quite chewy / tough. The Tom Yum soup was delicious and the steamed seafood was decent with somewhat rubbery squid. Service was fine. Ambiance was as expected. Overall a good place that I'm willing to try again.

Luke S.

Yelp
Their Red Curry soup is wonderful. I usually start with the fresh spring rolls. Kate's service is a big part of why we visit at least twice a month.

Yelp
This is the worst thai/lao food I have ever had, and I eat it once a week, every week for years. It was astoundingly awful. The egg roll was rancid and I had to spit it out. Fish was old, smelly and tough. Avocado app was literally just disks of fried breading. Almost no protein or veg in my curry entree, just curry and coconut milk. I'm really taken aback at how bad this place is compared to the rating. Wow

Yelp
My boyfriend and I frequent this place a lot, for dates and even going with our family. This place quickly became a favorite as the restaurant staff are always so sweet and personable, and the food is always delicious and filling, we always come home with leftovers!
google avatar

Brandon P.

Yelp
First experience here, based on other Thai restaurant's, this one has some serious flavor but the protein portions are incredibly small. I forgot to take a picture but for $15-16, one should be getting more than 3-4oz of chicken. Most adults won't be full off of one entree. This issue isn't unique to this restaurant, shrinkflation is a real thing and why I choose to eat at home primarily. Overall, very clean and friendly.

Yelp
Padaek is now a staple of downtown Irving! In addition to their wonderful food and service, they now have tv screens that show neat street food scenes from Laos and Thailand.

A P.

Yelp
Amazing service. Amazing food. Hot, fresh, delicious. I tried a few dishes because it was my first dine-in experience. They did NOT disappoint. It was so good. The leftovers were just as yummy. We tried appetizers and a few entrees. I was stuffed. It is a low-key neighborhood spot tucked in on a quiet street. It is one of the places that if you know, you know. It is worth the trip and the try. Made to order everything is rare anymore. The portions were on point and they don't cut corners on flavor. I can't wait to pop in again for lunch or dinner. I'm his was the first mouth-watering meal I've had in a while. I was too busy eating to take pictures but ai can attest to the plates looking exactly like the menu pics!

Yelp
Yall the food is to die for!! I had shrimp pad Thai(10/10), red curry (skip tbh), crying tiger beef (ok), basil beef (good), Thai tea (so good) and mango sticky rice. The mangos were still fresh and that's saying a lot given how late in the mango season we are!!

Jazmin B.

Yelp
Got one order of laos sausage , two orders of the garlic ribs , khao piak ,and sticky rice and Spent $60 here and portions were small , i found hair in my sticky rice , all of my food was room temperature , they gave me a different soup that wasn't what i ordered , the guy up front could not answer any of my clarifying questions he was so lost , i tried to call and fix everything and they wouldn't pick up my calls.

Pricila D.

Yelp
Delicious food/ good customer service/ the vibe is chill but kind of small. Definitely coming back

Yelp
I had just returned from a one week trip to Mixico city so I was really craving Lao food. I drove straight here from the airport. The space is nice and clean with an open kitchen. I really wanted thum thad but it was for 4 people and I was alone so I went with the next best option, crying tiger. The size of the steak was a good size but there didn't seem to be any seasoning on the meat itself. Seemed to lack even salt. The sauce that you dip it in was good but not spicy enough for me. The dish comes with a basket of sticky rice but it was a very small amount of it.

Celina B.

Yelp
Thanks to P Art recommendation, we tried the fish-wrap platter. Must try with the Padaek sauce! Pad see ew, fried rice, egg rolls were all good. Save room for the dessert, try them all!!!
google avatar

Darla H.

Yelp
This is the best Thai food I've ever had! Tried the duck red curry and the pad see ew. Phenomenal! The menu has so many great options I'm already planning my next trip to try something else. Wait staff was so sweet. Also had some matcha green tea with boba. Delicious. And ice cream with emerald sticky rice and mango sticky rice. Definitely have to try!
google avatar

Edward C.

Yelp
Food is decent. Wasn't particularly impressed by portions or quality. A couple of items look worth checking out so maybe I'll give it one more spin but the duck red curry and fried rib was ultimately forgettable and will not order again.
google avatar

Adrian C.

Yelp
Good food. Chill and quiet environment. It's a great place to enjoy a good meal with friends.

Yelp
Definitely recommend this place. They had the best sausage that I had ever try in my life... I'm not a big fan of sausage as there is no place I can feel a lot of taste in 1 sausage- spicy - little salty- little sour . The Pineapple Fried Rice and Crying Tiger with Sticky Rice is delicious as well. Also don't forget your desert with Ice cream. That lunch filled my upset stomach so much. I will be back to try the other Thai Salad and Lab as well as I heard that really good also

Yelp
Delicious Thai/loa food! What more could you ask for? More dishes . If you haven't stopped by yet get this on your list.

Serena B.

Yelp
By far the best Thai that I have experienced in the DFW area. The staff is extremely professional and the service is quick!!! Did I mention that the food is DELICIOUS!!!! I've had Thai food in Thailand, Korea, and Hawaii. This is definitely on point!

Yelp

Yelp
Some of the best Thai food I've has since Thailand! Had Tom Kha soup, coconut fried rice and crying tiger steak due to previous reviews and was so impressed!! Still savoring the flavors the next day. Yum!!

Johatan O.

Yelp
Food was amazing! Beware of the spicy levels though. I love spicy food and asked a 2 because I was going to share with my daughter and it was pretty spice! Definitely a favorite! What we had: Spicy Edamame Thai Basil w/ Chicken Pad Thai
google avatar

Teri P.

Yelp
Great food and good service! Really enjoyed our meal. We had crying tiger, larb, avocado rings, a cup of Tom Ka and a couple of Thai coffees. Everything was delicious and spiced exactly as requested. Only one server for a busy Friday evening, but he was able to keep us served in a timely manner. He was running around like a crazy man, but doing a fantastic job keeping everyone happy. We will absolutely be back. Can't recommend this place highly enough!

Keshia D.

Yelp
Food was excellent i wish i had taken pictures of the food before we devoured it!!!! Their version of crab Rangoon was good

Stephanie C.

Yelp
This place was really good!! Server was friendly. We would come back. Bf ordered the duck curry, very yummy and the duck was cooked perfectly, so tender. I ordered the crying tiger steak. It was cooked to a perfect medium rare and that spicy sauce they give you for it is omg sooo yum. It has Thai chilis in the sauce, looks like.
google avatar

Cindy F.

Yelp
Food was Amazing.... The sauce that comes with the crying tiger needs to be sold by the gallon!!!
google avatar

Margot Q.

Yelp
Never had a bad meal here - always get the Lao sausage, crying tiger, and dessert roti!

Kylan H.

Yelp
Crying Tiger steak was amazing! cooked perfectly and the jeaw dipping sauce had that perfect balance of flavor and spice. Garlic green beans with beef were excellent. Service was fast and polite 5 star.

Alan B.

Yelp
Very good food and excellent service. My Pad Thai was excellent, as was my wife's Crying Tiger. Another had the Panang Salmon and Mango Salad, both also were very good. The only negatives were the fried gyoza (a bit tough), and that they close at 9pm. OK, that's not really a negative, I just need to go earlier!
google avatar

Eduardo C.

Yelp
The server is always kind and attentive and the food is amazing, my favorite local Thai spot!

David F.
