My daughter and her husband took us here for a Father’s Day meal. She try to make reservations beforehand but whom ever answered the call said they couldn’t make reservations for only four people so we went before they open to make sure we got a table. The staffing was very nice, friendly and polite and quickly took our order. We enjoyed everything that we ordered, specifically the two appetizer was outstanding! I will love to come back and try other menu items that looked very inviting and tasty!

Nice ambiance. Food came fast. But I ordered gnocchi and it did not come out right. The texture was like mashed potatoes, and they fell apart on touch. The sauce did not taste bad though.

The gnocchi and pappardelle are absolutely delicious, and the tiramisu is a standout favorite. The appetizers are decent, though the lamb chops have a slightly strong lamb flavor. Overall, I’d definitely recommend this place to friends and look forward to coming back!

One of the best Italian restaurants in the Bay area. Everything is great. Favorite appetizers include the mussels, the mozzarella in marinara, and the Calamari. Some of our favorite mains were the pesto gnocchi (so soft!!), and honestly any of the pastas. Some of the creamy pastas they make with a tasty bourbon sauce, which is amazing, but really any dish will blow you away. 10/10, would definitely go again!

Google
This place was highly recommended so we finally got to try it out. The atmosphere is great and the service superb, however I was unimpressed with the food itself (except for one of the following dishes): INSALATA CESARE: It was good for a Caesar salad, didn't feel uninspired as it usually does in some.other establishments. However it was nothing special. PENNE SANTA ROSALIA: A very generous plate of pasta with delicious eggplant pieces. I enjoyed it but probably would not order it again. TORTELLINI CAPRICCIOSI: Delicious and by far the best dish of the night. The pasta was fresh and both the filling and toppings were amazing. I'd recommend it very much. Also the portion is quite generous. For dessert we ordered the pistacchio cheesecake and i honestly wish we hadn't. It looks pretty but none of its three layers have any substance to them. The top one is.ok because it's dusted with powdered sugar, but after that the cheesecake was mediocre at best and the pistacchio was quite bland. Also the raspberry and chocolate sauce didn't make much sense to me and I would've preferred they hadn't been on my place as they made the dish even more confusing. The best part of the whole dessert was a very little almond cookie they added as a garnish along with the whipped cream, that I think was amazing and I would've been happy to pay for a bunch of those instead of the cake.

Sat outside and had a great server when I was visiting for work. I wish I remember the server’s name because he had great recommendations! The bruschetta wasn’t the best I ever had but the best I had in a while without making it at home. The homemade gnocchi in a pesto cream sauce was just enough to feel stuffed and the desserts were very good. If I lived in San Jose, this would be a go to spot for me since they have a variety of good Italian food to try. 10/10, will definitely be back when I’m in the area again!

Google
A good authentic Italian restaurant in San Jose downtown. We ordered veg ravioli, mozzarella appetizer, Tiramisu, grilled fish and lemon cake. The ravioli and mozzarella both were marinara sauce based and waa average. The killer takeaway was the Tiramisu pastry, was a die for dessert. The base wàs soaked in Vodka and the layers made with creamy, smooth and rich coffee and whipped cream. One of the best Tiramisu I have had so far. Apart from the food, the service was Top notch! We were attended by a lady staff Jena, she was so kind and took care of our orders very genuinely.

Google
The food was good, they use nice quality ingredients. But they don’t have bread? How can a Italian restaurant doesn’t have bread?! The service was good, they try their best to fulfill your needs. The price is a little expensive for the portion of the food, but understandable, it’s in Little Italy in the Bay Area. Dessert was ok though, kinda too sweet.

Yelp
Had the most amazing meal. Linguini with porcini mushrooms, shrimp and pancetta in a brandy cream sauce. Definitely recommend this restaurant.

Yelp
This was honestly one of the best pasta spots I've been to in the U.S. The lasagna and calamari were next level. Everything was so flavorful without being too salty, just really clean and satisfying. The waiter was super friendly, which made the whole experience even better. I brought my mom who was visiting from Korea, and she absolutely loved it. Would definitely come back.

Yelp
Unbelievable. I have wanted to try this restaurant in the heart of little Italy. Nothing authentic to Italy at all. They do not make any of their own pasta. The bread is also not fresh. Chardonnay was room temperature.

Yelp
We were in the area catching a musical theater show at Broadway San Jose and looking for something quick. We couldn't find parking anywhere and saw this cute little restaurant at the corner and they allowed us to park right outside their property. The owner was very nice and welcoming and so as all the staff. We ordered the eggplant pasta with tomato cream sauce, the salmon pasta with volka tomato cream. Both were good, the eggplant was a little oily but the salmon was fresh and well prepared but the one that impressed me the most was the tiramisu... it was so good The staff was so nice to even pointed out to us that the portion of food is quite big so we could actually share and she was absolutely right!

Yelp
The Farfalle Al Salmone is amazing. This was my favorite pasta dish! Its a vodka sauce with bow tie pasta and salmon. I also added on shrimp for additional charge. We also got appetizers to share among the table: bruschetta, calamari, and mozzarella capresse. Highlight was definitely the mozzarella capresse. Even my coworker who doesn't really like mozzarella thoroughly enjoyed it. Food came out quick and staff were friendly. Overall enjoyed my experience here!

Yelp
I came here for dinner with a friend, and tried this restaurant for the first time. They started us off with a complimentary few bread slices with an olive oil/balsamic dip. The bread was a bit hard and dry, but the dip flavor was great. We ordered the Melenzana Parmigana as an appetizer which was delicious and I would recommend. As a main I got the Gnocchi alla Genovese, and I LOVED it. It really reminded me of the pesto in the Genoa region of Italy and felt very authentic. I usually don't gravitate towards gnocchi as a regular order but this was buttery soft and complemented the sauce perfectly. I would go back just for this dish. My friend got the Linguine Casareccia which I tried a bite of and was less on the rich side but had several strong flavors. She also got the penne Santa Rosalia, I also had a bite and it was creamy and had a good tangy basil forward sauce. The pesto was still my favorite savory dish though. The dessert menu looked phenomenal but we got the Tiramisu and the Pistachio ricotta cheesecake, both were definitely worth it. The service from our waiter was phenomenal, my friend actually mentioned she did not like the first dish she had ordered to our waiter and he was understanding and offered her a new dish which she loved much more. There was a bit of seating indoors as well as outdoors. Parking was difficult on a Saturday evening, but we parked close by and walked over. All in all, I'd be back to try more of those dishes and probably get the pesto again!

Yelp
This is a really cute spot in Little Italy. The server was really sweet. To start off we had the limoncello and moscato (really strong) and appetizers prosciutto e olive and bruschetta. The bread was pretty hard to eat still flavorful and good but not so great on the jaw. The baguette bread was hard also (possibly stale) but that was served after our appetizers. And they almost placed the wrong dish with the wrong person. I always suggest to mention the dish and ask before placing it on the table. For the main entrees my date had the penne with eggplant. Ravioli was superb! Eggplant was amazing the penne pasta not so great. They were closing soon so they kind of hurried us up because the kitchen was closing. So we chose the cannoli and man it was so hard. The staff was sweet when we left. It was interesting that they didn't have a cappuccino on the menu.

Yelp
I came to this restaurant with some coworkers for lunch on a weekday. There was easy parking across the street for $1 an hour! The restaurant had a relaxing ambiance. To start, there was complimentary bread and we shared the mozzarella caprese and the mozzarella in marinara. Both were good and not too heavy, which was good as the mains were on the way. For the main, I ordered a tortellini in a white meat sauce with asparagus and mushrooms. It was so so delicious -- the meat melts in your mouth with the rest of the tortellini and the vegetables complemented it very well, it was an enjoyable and well balanced meal.

Yelp
I was in search for an authentic Italian restaurant to host my Mom's birthday celebration and I was truly impressed with the level of service and food selection we received. We were greeted by Giovanni, I've had multiple conversations with him and Carmen over the phone and via email they were extremely pleasant and professional to work with. Upon arrival the restaurant was already set up ready for our event. lots of natural lighting, beautiful garden area very clean establishment. Giovanni made several recommendations for our event to make sure that everything was seamless.. Continuous follow up conversations prior to our event made me feel confident I made the right choice. They were able to host 50 guest and 5 children without any incident. Our food selection consisted of 2 starters fried calamari and egg plant parmigiana family style. Followed by first course bow tie pasta, penne pasta with pesto, hot bread and main entree lasagna, salmon, chicken and mushrooms. The freshness, taste, and presentation of the food was so impressive I would highly recommend this Italian restaurant hands down. Overall this was definitely a great dining experience for my entire family we created lasting memories, ate delicious food and enjoyed the friendly staff. I would host another family event or just dine in because this restaurant and staff made our event memorable..

Yelp
Our fav Italian restaurant. Small and quaint with romantic dim lighting. They even got outdoor seating and you can dine under lemon trees. Always start with a little of wine, order the fried cheese, Carpaccio, caprese, pasta, and protein. You'll have the best meal + food coma Wine is poured immediately by the server and food will slowly come out 1 by 1. Small

Yelp
This is a pretty authentic italian restaurant located in Little Italy. The pastas we had were really good and good portion. The bruschetta I didn't really care for. The server was attentive but maybe a little too attentive... she checked on us too often. The parking is also a nightmare here which makes me not want to come back.

Shontai C.

Yelp
I've been a San Jose resident for many years, and I now remember why I was once advised to avoid restaurants on Little Italy. Tonight confirmed it. A group of us dined at this restaurant and had an extremely disappointing experience from start to finish. The food was not only overpriced but also poorly prepare ie the vegan option was literally just plain noodles in oil for 27.00. I had to request salt and pepper just to make it remotely edible. We were also overcharged. For example, the menu lists a glass of J. Lohr Chardonnay at $12, but we were billed $14. That's deceptive and unacceptable. Service was subpar at best, but what really crossed the line was the manager or owner yelling at one of the women in our group for asking for basic service. It was completely unprofessional and unnecessary. Mind you we ordered appetizers ,drinks and meals. Therefore, our bill was pretty hefty. This restaurant got everything wrong--food, pricing, service, and most importantly, respect for its customers. We will absolutely not be returning.

Yelp
We went on Valentine's Day for dinner. Booking was done 1 week in advance and luckily there were still 8pm availability. The restaurant was packed when we got there. Upon entering, we were seated quickly. They had special Valentine's Day menu as well as the regular dinner menu. We got an appetizer with mozzarella cheese, seafood ravioli (special menu) and pappardelle Alexandra. We did not wait for too long for the food despite the crowd (~10 min). The appetizer came with ham, pickled artichoke, lettuce, tomatoes and mozzarella cheese, and topped with olive oil. It was light and refreshing. The seafood ravioli was filled with mashed seafood (I guess it was shrimp and some other seafood). Each piece of ravioli was huge, so it filled me up pretty quickly. My favorite was the pappardelle Alexandra! The source was very cheesy and it was topped with big chunks of crab meats. We also ordered a pistachio cake for dessert. It was fun to see that instead of showing us a dessert menu, the waiter showed actual dessert samples in front of us! The pistachio cake was smooth and easily melted in the mouth. It also came with actual pistachio chunks and a scoop of whipped cream. It was a really great Valentine's Day dinner experience. The waiters were super friendly and helped us take several pictures. I'd highly recommend it for a date night dinner.

Yelp
Finally got to step out of the house and try something new with good company. We came here to celebrate a friend's birthday for lunch and had a great time! [[ Location / Parking ]] This is located right at the start of the "Little Italy" sign in Downtown San Jose and there are a ton of metered parking right outside. I had to pay $2/hour for parking but they accept credit cards with "tap to pay" so it was pretty convenient. [[ Restaurant / Service ]] I liked the vibe of the restaurant as it seems to be built inside an old home but the inside was really nice. The servers were dressed formally and were super friendly and told us the specials right away. Everyone was really welcoming and I thought they made a strong first impression. Towards the end, our server also helped us pack our leftovers and all of them wished us goodbye which I thought was a nice touch. [[ Lunch Menu ]] First off, I think the pricing for this place is pretty fair with $10 - $30 range which is really "affordable" for what we can get nowadays with high inflation. The portion sizes were also proportional to what you pay for so no complaints in my book. I think the entree's were big enough for really just one person but you can share if you want to (they even split the plate into two if you go this route). My wife and I ordered the following: 1.) Appetizer - Bruschetta 2.) Appetizer - Affettato Misto 3.) Entree - Tortellini Cappricciosi 4.) Entree - Veal Parmigiana I really enjoyed the Bruschetta and the Tortellini Cappricciosi out of the things we ordered and would definitely get them again if I go again. [[ Conclusion ]] Glad I got to try this place out and I would definitely come back.

Yelp
Decided to come here on a weekend and no wait! Plenty of people eating but we lucked out. Service was excellent and friendly. Never had to ask for waters as they kept refilling our glasses. We had the shrimp pasta and a mushroom pasta, they were both delicious! Free bread and dip upon arrival. The bruschetta needed some balsamic glaze, while the calamari was perfect. Plenty of street parking and they even have outdoor seating.

Yelp
Walked in and got a table right away, which was a nice surprise. The service was steady and respectful. Nothing overly exciting about the space, kinda plain, but it was clean and quiet. Server checked in just the right amount. A little slow with the check but not a big deal. Would stop by again when I'm in the area.

Yelp
Stopped by this restaurant for lunch and the interior was so cute and cozy. Everyone I was with got pasta, I got the farfalle vulcano and it had mushrooms and peppers, and was not too heavy. The tiramisu was really great. I noticed we didn't get bread while it seemed the other tables had, not sure if we had to pay for bread here or we just had to ask... Overall the food and service was pretty good.

Yelp
The Panino Al Prosciutto was recommended by the staff, as it paired well with the beautiful weather. The mozzarella was very fresh, and the focaccia was spot on. There is patio seating in the front that was in the shade for my lunch. Very friendly staff, looking forward to a return trip on my next visit to the area.

Yelp
Came here for dinner earlier in the week. The restaurant is small but very warm and inviting. The service was excellent and the food was great. The prices are a little high but the portions are very large so we had left overs to take home with us. I fully recommend coming here and we will definitely come back again.

Yelp
We have visited Paesano's on many occasions over the last 7 years, including a luncheon in 2022 to celebrate my birthday. I cannot say enough good things about the quality of the food and the attentive service. I love the charming atmosphere of this Victorian home. Each and every time the food has been excellent, beautifully prepared and served hot. On Friday for our anniversary we visited and enjoyed the Insalata Palermo, Veal Veronica and Sole D'Ore, with a cannoli for dessert. My husband loves their cannoli!!! We are always warmly greeted by Pino the owner who is attentive and gracious. We've spent more at other Italian restaurants, where they do not come close to the quality of the food served at Paesano's. This restaurant is a treasure and well worth the visit!!

Yelp
Authentic and delicious Italian food in a cozy Little Italy setting. The gnocchi is fantastic, like little fluffy pillows
google avatar

Craig V.

Yelp
Having a newborn means that your options of restaurants to eat out at limited to outdoor restaurants. Essentially, its like being back in covid times for eating out. Paesano's really accomodated for this strict guideline as they have a back area patio with heat lamps and a cover in case of rain. The food here is really good especially as it's the main Italian restaurant in little Italy. The primary issue was that there was a swordfish special that my dad ordered, but when he ate it, something seemed off about the swordfish. The waitress completely understood and asked what my dad wanted as a replacement order. Amazing service! If you want some good Italian food, don't hesitate to go to Paesano Ristorante!
google avatar

Devin G.

Yelp
Amazing Italian food in acquaint and environment. Parking is tight so make sure to leave early and be prepared to walk if you do not use a ride service.
google avatar

Jo C.

Yelp
Paesano is still one of the best Italian restaurants in San Jose. We got lucky taking the last table for lunch. I should have known they would be busy with holiday luncheons especially with the street parking before so full. I ended up parking by SAP and walked to the restaurant. Despite being packed, we still received great service. Our appetizer came out in no time and so did our meal. The servers were attentive and refilled our water glasses without asking. The ambiance was louder than usual but we had a wonderful lunch. I don't recall if they stopped giving bread long ago or just for the holidays. We didn't have this during our lunch.
google avatar

Aaron L.

Yelp
So it's been odd that you just can't find good Italian anywhere in San Jose. But here you can. It's probably the last good Italian place that I know of. I could be wrong, but I would love to be wrong about that. Came here for date night, and we made a reservation. Parking was $10 at the event parking lot due to an event at Sap. We were seated outside, but due to a nearby fire, we quickly moved inside. We had a corner table and ordered the veal and vulcano dishes with the carpaccio, limoncello spritz, and white wine. Service is excellent, and the dessert "menu" is unique to East Coast dining. You'll understand when you see it. Gastro Maestro approved!!
google avatar

Ashok B.

Yelp
one of the best italian restaurants in san jose. Food tasted fresh and loved the creamy cheese to it. Service was really great, one of the best was the way they brought their dessert menu to choose. Ambiance was awesome with outdoor seating. They got good parking spot opposite to restaurant.
google avatar

Teresa L.

Yelp
The food is out is delicious and so good. I recommend the calamari, Lasagna, Steak and Pino's pasta The wait staff is very friendly and helpful. They go above and beyond
google avatar

Angelina B.

Yelp
My coworker and I came here for lunch since we both love Italian food and work nearby. Our server was nice and told us about the daily specials. We started with the calamari, which was pretty good--I'd give it an 8/10. For our main dish, we both ordered the chicken parm with Alfredo pasta. I'd rate it a 7/10 since I felt it lacked seasoning. I might come back with my husband and try something different for a date night.

Yelp
This restaurant has a very nice and inviting ambiance. I walked in and only stood there awkwardly for a couple of seconds until the bartender or server helped me out. I was eyeing the outside seating area but was sat in the restaurant by the entrance. It was windy so thankfully the person who sat me didn't listen to my intrusive thoughts. I got the branzino it was delicious and cooked to perfection. Although a lot of the bones were in there. Good thing I was with my mom and not on a date picking fish bones out of my mouth lol. But worth it cause of the fish being soooo good. Everyone was really nice and polite too! 10/10 would come back here for the pasta next time too!

Scott M.

Yelp
We eat there 3/4 times a week. Truly excellent, great setting where a suit fits in with casual. Make no mistake, the white linen table tops reflect the sophistication of the food & the wine. Oh they have well drinks now too. Im a lifetime soccer player & there are always games playing in the background. The staff are excellent & well trained, easy to order from as they know their culinary art. The dollar amount is reasonable considering the quality. Its a fun easy going environment. The owner is a true Siciliano & he insists on detail to excellence. However it is the staff that wins the day, daily. I regularly have the rib eye steak, the spaghetti bolognase , the mama Rosa ravioli or the classic lasagne. The weekly specials are excellent as The owner takes advantage of fresh catches & wines from around Italy. Soccer friendly, excellent food, lovely staff. Book in advance as they book up fast. Tell them Scotty sent you!!!

Yelp
This place has a special place in my heart. It is such a quaint establishment in Little Italy San Jose. This is my 2nd time here, and I experienced a discrepancy on the bill YET again, so do yourselves a favor and check the bill. They are old school and still manually ring up the items. I came with a group of 5. Calamari and cesar salad to share. The pastas here are huge, so they are great for sharing as well! They range from $32-$40 if you add extra protein to them. I got the alla moda with extra sauce to share $32. I love the mushroom taste on the sauce. My friend for the Tortellini Capricciosi - Meat tortellini with mushrooms, asparagus, and pancetta in a white cream sauce $24.95. This dish was delightful and very creamy. It tastes different from the alla moda. This time around, we all got desserts, which were presented on what looked like a silver platter and showcased everything they had to offer. It looked so good. We got the cannoli, tiramisu, and lime sherbet. All were delightful and completed our meal. The service was good like last time, so no complains there.

Yelp
Paesano's is one of my go to celebration dinners in San Jose. The food is delicious, the service is friendly, and the upscale neighborhood restaurant ambiance is perfect for a nice dinner with friends and family. This is a good Italian spot for fellow vegetarians. I always order the pesto gnocchi, which is so soft and pillowy (and a good serving size). The bread alongside the tapenade they serve with it is the perfect starter, though I can also recommend the caprese salad. You can't go wrong with the limoncello spritzer for a drink and a cappuccino to end the night. Highly recommend a visit! There are metered parking spaces on the street and most times I've been able to get a spot there, but it is possible you'll have to go around the block for a spot if you're driving. Give yourself a little extra time beforehand to park as a cushion and you'll be fine. And try to make a reservation for dinner, it was packed on my Monday night birthday which I loved to see!
google avatar

Jason A.

Yelp
Let me start off by saying the pasta is delicious. The carpaccio is a small portion, but that's not why it deserves a 1 star. The one thing that upsets me the most is restaurants that treat customers differently. What makes one party undeserving of bread? What makes them underserving of "do you want cheese on top?". I was surprised that all parties around us got this treatment, except us. Quite unfortunate to have this sort of experience :(

Yelp
Came here for dinner after a day of actually already eating a lot with family for lunch. Because we had hotpot and Chinese food we were craving something different. Came here with no reservations so had to sit in the patio but I actually preferred being outdoors with the vibey lights, wasn't even cold from the heater, and could actually hear myself talk. Special of the day: 5/5 imported beef but kind of tasted like jamon Iberico. Unique flavor pairs well with lemon and cheese. Gnocchi: 4/5 bit on the heavier side with the cream and potato Spaghetti: 5/5 it was okay, nothing special but definitely necessary to cut the heaviness of the gnocchi and I ended up liking it more because it was easy to eat. We're definitely disappointed that the restaurant didn't garnish with freshly shaved Parmesan. Dessert: 5/5 huge portion, probably could've done without it because we were so full. The cannoli stuffing combined with everything was a bit decadent but I loved how it complimented the richness of the chocolate ice cream and dark chocolate. Service: 10/5 we've never met a server so kind and genuine, absolutely made up for the star that they would've lost from me with the Parmesan Parking was kind of stressful especially due to an event happening this evening, but this experience was worth it!

Yelp
This is a Nice Place , Great Food but a Little Pricey. I Honestly can't go back unless I hit the Lottery. But still good Food.
google avatar

Yelp
So, I had dinner tonight to celebrate my friends birthday and we witnessed the unpleasant treatment of staff by the owner. We were sitting in the patio area to the side of the restaurant, and the owner and a wait staff were moving a table when a glass fell and broke and the owner angrily chastised the young man in front of us. It wasn't like it was intentional or malicious. It was awkward, uncomfortable and embarrassing for all involved, except the owner. He made no attempt to recognize his unpleasant behavior. If this is what we witness as patrons, it leads me to believe it may be worse when there are no patrons. It just left an unpleasant taste to the evening.
google avatar

Denise N.

Yelp
The restaurant is cute. Service was fantastic. We visited on a Wednesday evening and the restaurant was empty. Parking sucks! Bruschetta toast was very hard! It needed salt. Fresh basket of bread tasted like stale bread from the weekend. The olive tepanade was delish. Main entrées spaghetti was greasy. Chicken Limone dish was good, but nothing wowing. I feel I could have made it at home. I couldn't eat the pasta dishes because I have an allergy to shellfish. They had black squid ink pasta. I did ask the waitress if the chef could boil pasta in another pot to accommodate my allergy. She recommended lasagna and something else, but I think she missed the point. I decided on the lemon chicken dish to play it safe. We ordered tiramisu and a canoli. The canoli filling was a bit too gritty and the Tiramisu was ok. I don't think I'll be back. I spent $140 on dinner for two without alcohol beverages.

Yelp
This is my favorite Italian restaurant in the Bay Area/San Jose area. It's honestly the best in this area. The menu is amazing. There is a large variety of options. Multiple pasta dishes and combinations that I enjoy. I have been going here for years now. I recently went and got the Pappardelle Alexandra. The pappardelle is so good. The texture is softer and to my liking. Love the shape of the pasta. Very easy to eat. Flavor is super good. Not super starchy. The vodka sauce is creamy and really good. Very comfortable flavors. The crab meat compliments the dish so well. Super happy with it. I recommend the spaghetti tutto mare as well. Very good flavors. The marinara sauce is unique. It's an orange color and tastes more creamy. Slightly sweet. It's not like the usual red marinara sauce at other places. Red marinara is usually tangy. I prefer this orange sauce. The quality of the ingredients here is fresh and of high quality. Not much to complain about. It feels like a 5 but the best 5/5 Italian food that I have ever had is in New Jersey. So this is a 4.

Yelp
Great hospitality, great servers and best food and wine. Dessert was yummy. My son is in the picture, they gave boiled pasta for him and accepted special request, so accommodating :)

Yelp
This place serves authentic food. You can see that the family is vested in this restaurant and that many generations have worked there from the pictures on the wall. Food is always great. I love the pesto pasta special. Calamari tastes fresh. Try it if you have the opportunity! The service is excellent and matches the great quality food. Small but can accommodate parties of 10, maybe more. We were a part of 10 and they made it work. Has a small bar if you're looking for a quick meal and a drink. Definitely a good spot for a date. Only street parking available.

Yelp
Carpaccio 3/5 - tastes typical, nothing amazing. Very small portion for the price Veal gianfranco(?) 3.5/5 - tender veal but the balsamic sauce may be a bit strong in taste for some. Spaghetti fruiti mare 4.5/5 - great sauce and pasta. Plenti of seafood. Just a little too salty for my taste.

Yelp
Yes. Always yes!! The food is amazing. The staff are great. The atmosphere is hopping and somehow they make it personal. We love this place. I wish we lived closer because I would camp at the bar. They know their stuff and the food is delicious. The wine selection is great. I love the Italian vibe from the waiter staff. Order the salmon alla siciliana. It's great. The lasagna is delicious!

Yelp
Gone here twice and let me tell you, this place does not disappoint. It's my favorite spot to eat Italian food in San Jose. Service and ambience are lovely too. I love love love this place.

Yelp
My steak was dry, and my sister's minestrone was bland. The meat tortellini capricciosi was delicious and creamy, but we wished they were more generous with the pancetta and asparagus. The chocolate-covered ice cream ball was our favorite. The tiramisu was good, but L'Gusto beats it hands down! Their outdoor patio was lovely, and the servers were friendly and attentive. They were way overpriced, but understand they're paying for the downtown location, fresh ingredients, and attracting and retaining professional employees.

Yelp
We were seated next to the dustbin. Not one, but two masterpieces placed side by side. And my view was that of the broom and dustpan in the kitchen. Our table was Right next to the entrance to the bar and kitchen.. Gorgeous pleasant setting for having a $25 plate of pasta. We saw twice, they brought frozen sauces out of the refrigerator from the back and the food was definitely not made from scratch. The eggplant pasta, which is the second thing on the menu - what an abomination. Extremely sweet dish, zero flavor, no balance and the eggplant was oily burnt bitter and served with the peel. The pasta was clearly microwaved to the point of being nuked. This and two glasses of wine set us back $100. Complete joke. Pls do not serve this bread- an 8 yr old will bake better. Extremely thin, no body, hollow, tough crust, excess flour dusting. Just realized that All of the food should have been directed to the bin - which was staring me in the face the whole time!

Yelp
Cool spot in "Little Italy." Came here for a lunch meeting. Staff is attentive and friendly. They have specials that run. I ordered the carpaccio, which was simple but good. I then ordered the soup of the day- potatoe leek soup. Yums. Light broth and perfectly balanced with potatoes and leeks. The main dish was a clam linguine is a red sauce. Perfect lunch portion, and a good amount of clams. I'd post more pics, but I was there for a business lunch. The restaurant was not crowded or loud, so it was actually a perfect spot to take a lunch meeting. They have a full bar as well.

Yelp
My coworkers and I came here for lunch today for a party of 7. The restaurant is small and intimate with a small bar and seating there. It was pretty busy already, and luckily, one of our coworkers arrived early to grab a table. The menu was provided to us, and water was poured into our glass. Our order was taken within 5 minutes from being seated. The following was ordered and the fiod came out within 10 minutes. Everyone says their lunch was well prepared and tasted delish. My tortellini was very good, not too creamy nor too salty. I'm not a fan of cream sauce, but I ordered it because I love asparagus and mushrooms. Glad I was not disappointed 2 PANINO AL PROSCIUTTTO 1 PANINO VEGETARIANO 1PANINO POLLO PARMIGIANA 1 FARFALLE AL SALMONE 1 TORTELLINI CAPRICCIOSI 1 FARFALLE VULCANO Service was very good and on point. I asked for red pepper flakes, and it came out right away. The server checked in on us often, and water was refilled without us requesting it. Even while waiting for our check to be processed, they still offered to refill water for us. My only disappointment was I felt that every table around us, including the solo customer, had bread, but we didn't. By the time we realized it, our meals had come out already. Would definitely return in the future with my family to try the sandwiches and other pasta dishes.
