Pain Vin Fromages - Review - Le Marais - Paris - The Infatuation

"Contrary to its quiet location down a Marais side street, this French restaurant explodes with cheese paraphernalia and flavor. Whether in the stone-lined 17th century cellar or the main dining room whose walls are crowded with maps and cow bells, dig into six-cheese boards curated by region or fondues ranging from classic white wine to Thai curry-spiked. The tartiflette, a potato casserole dotted with smoky bacon and blanketed with odiferous Reblochon cheese, is one of the city’s best. photo credit: Wenkang Shan photo credit: Wenkang Shan photo credit: Wenkang Shan Pause Unmute" - Emily Monaco

Excellent food , the people here go the extra mile and more to make sure you will enjoy your meal and your experience. Lots of cheese varieties, and many cheese plateaus to choose from. Delicious meat and cheese fondues (i tried the one of the cheese ones in another visit). The wine selection covers 100% of potential mixings one cam imagine. A place to come back!

Google
Traditional Fromanges restaurant! This was our first time trying Formages, and it came highly recommended by friends. The food was delicious, and the staff were incredibly friendly. A special thanks to Noohou and other friendly staff for the warm and attentive service! We sat downstairs in a cozy, air-conditioned space, which was a huge plus during the summer heat. Highly recommend this restaurant!

The staff is very kind and goes the extra mile to satisfy the client. The food is excellent, the amosphere cozy and the experience in general is amazing. 10/10!!

Google
What can I say? Pain vin fromage is a hidden gem! Nestled in a little back street. The fondue is up there with the best I’ve had and having lived in the French alps I’ve had a fair few. Cured meats, salads and potatoes were also good. We had a bottle of Chablis that was chilled nicely. All in all, superb evening and value for money. We will definitely be returning. Awesome 👍

I was here twice in a week and tried fondue and raclete and both time food, service and atmosphere were great. Reservation is a must and it is worth it.

Lovely fondue. The salad and bread were not fresh. It needed more atmosphere with some light music playing in background. Restaurant furniture needs some TLC. Beautiful building downstairs though.

Google
Definitely recommend, the options are simple but very well executed. Also enjoyed a carafe of the house red wine. Make a reservation to avoid disappointment.

I really loved this place! It’s not too big (though they also have seating downstairs that i didn’t check out, so it isn’t too small either), so it feels very cozy, especially for something like eating a fondue and drinking wine on a cold day/night. We ordered the Méridionale fondue and it was amazing!! 🤩 as someone who isn’t the biggest fan pf strong smelly cheese, this was the perfect middle ground! The herbs and tomato take just a little bit away from the sharpness of the cheese, which made it perfect for me, and it tasted perfect! I love that both bread and potatoes were served with the fondue while some other places only include bread and potatoes are extra. It is reasonably priced and in the heart of Paris which is wonderful! Totally recommend this place! I would strongly advise to book before going tho as it gets crowded pretty fast!

Yelp
Delicious cheese fondue, the building a very warm temperature, the hot fondue pots make it warmer. But the stone walls downstairs very pretty.

Yelp
This was my first time having fondue and maybe it's just not for me. We arrived for a late dinner at 11 PM and it's generally recommended to make a reservation. The staff were all friendly and spoke English as well, so it was easy to order. They offer many types of cheese from regions of France, we ordered one of the cheese fondues and a salad. The fondues come with potatoes and bread. We enjoyed the salad and it provided some much needed veggies. The cheese fondue comes in a hotpot and you dip the bread and potatoes into it with a fondue fork. After trying it, I think I prefer cheese only when it's paired with meat, so I probably should've ordered the one with meat. It was also really late and I was quite tired from being out all day, so that may have also contributed to me feeling subpar about the meal. However, if you're a cheese lover, this restaurant should be right up your alley. Come here if you love cheese!

Yelp
This was my favorite meal I had in Paris and such a fun experience!!! It's not a big place so I would recommend making a reservation or going early. We got a cheese fondue and raw beef to cook in oil which was perfect. It smells so lovely in there and each bite was fun to make and so delicious. The staff are friendly and accommodating to different languages. I cannot recommend this place enough it was the perfect last dinner in Paris. Also, wear something short sleeve because it can get hot in there with all the fondue!

Yelp
Service was nonchalant (not bad but not trying to exceed expectations) and seating/dining was TINY. Ambiance was lacking but as the name states: wine, bread, cheese didn't lie and it was GOOD. Without our gigantic decanter of white wine, who knows what I would have thought, but the 3 together were magical and one of my most memorable meals. We sat EXTREMELY close to another couple, honestly if we were in the states, we wouldn't have stayed, but c'est la vie en Paris so we stayed and it was worth it.

Yelp
For an extremely popular fondue place, I did not like the food but at least the portions were generous. The cheese for the raclette lacked the burnt texture and would harden back quickly, most likely because the cheese served was a soft cheese not a hard cheese. The fondue cheese and wine didn't mix nor complement each other. The meat was okay. We ordered the Savoyarde fondue and Gourmande raclette. If you do end up coming here, I recommend getting a reservation because they get really busy. Love the service though! Very nice people, just not a fan of the food.

Yelp
Made reservations for this small little shop in Paris. They were super busy so reservations was a good thing to have! They turned away some people who didn't have reservations but some they said can wait a little bit for a seat, it wasn't because they spoke French or not, just think it was how many people they had inside. There is a downstairs as well as upstairs, we sat upstairs so I'm not sure how many seats are below but they say maybe 20ish people upstairs. Be ready to be cozy with others as the tables are close by. They have cheese boards with various types from across the country, pretty good size cheese wedges too! And of course the fondue! Many different types to choose from, they come with refillable bread slices. Also ordered meat in the side, chose mixed meat which gave 4 different types of meat to go along with your cheese. If you have a chance and like cheese definitely stop by!!

Yelp
The fondue is great in this place. Low key. It's a must stop for me when I'm in town. The owner is super cool. The place looks small but has an up stairs dinning room. It's cozy and great spot for good food. I'm

Yelp
I came to Paris in May and made a reservation more than a month in advance for a Monday when they opened at 19:00 - I was so absolutely excited to try Pain Vin Fromages and had planned my whole day around the dinner I expected to have here. I got here early and waited for half an hour only to realize that the inside of the restaurant was suspiciously dark and all the tables and chairs were still up. Finally ended up finding a note in French on the door that the restaurant was closed. I was shocked and deeply disappointed that they hadn't even bothered to notify me. They had even emailed me with "Nous vous confirmons votre réservation," to confirm my reservation. I felt tricked.

Yelp
I highly recommend making a reservation online - it is quick, easy, and helps you avoid a long wait! My party of four and I ordered a classic cheese fondue, a raclette, and a salad (have to balance out the heavy meal somehow, right?) The menu is rather limited with heavy emphasis on cheese. I wanted to try meat and oil fondue but unfortunately each fondue order is made for two persons to share. Between the raclette and fondue, it would have been too much food for us. I was not disappointed, the cheese fondue is delicious. I loved the white wine flavor in it and the servers gave us plenty of bread to dip. Alongside the bread we also had an assortment of deli meats and small pickles. The raclette is "do it yourself" as well. My table was given a mini raclette broiler and we could fill up the small pans and scrape the cheese onto our potatoes. I thought the fondue was better tasting than the raclette. As far as fondue goes, Pain vin Fromages is one of the best. They use high quality cheeses and the servers are so accommodating to English speakers. Like many French restaurants, I found the interior to be quite cramped and the tables very small. It was interesting trying to maneuver around the hot objects at our table and the large plates of food. The fondue pots have their own flame but the raclette makers are haphazardly plugged into one of the many power strips in the wall. The nature of the food is very heavy - cheese, bread, cheese, potatoes, more cheese. I don't see myself visiting this restaurant twice in one trip. I had major food coma after my dinner, I immediately went back to my hotel and went to sleep!

Yelp
Came here for a second time after the first being 5 years ago. Still delicious and a great experience! The cheese options and overall fondue is memorable. The house wines are quite good especially for the price. The restaurant space is quite small/cramped and there don't seem to be quite enough servers to effectively address all tables efficiently. Note - if you sit downstairs in the cave, there is no cell service.

Yelp
At first when you go in here you'd think it's like some kind of cafeteria. When you go downstairs it's so beautiful. The fondue was excellent, the waiter was so sweet & kind. Definitely a must go spot if you're in Paris

Yelp
This was the best meal I've ever had in France. Highly recommend. You do need to make a reservation and do so via email. It would be best to attend in an even number as they charge for fondue per person (the price you see on the menu) but each fondue must serve two people, so regardless you have to pay for two people to a fondue. We did a broth, cheese, and chocolate fondue. The restaurant is very tiny and we were seated in the basement with no air conditioning so dress appropriately as it can get steamy while your fondue burner is on.

Yelp
Lovely little fondue restaurant Not far from the Pompidou. We emailed our request for a reservation weeks in advance. Apparently, on a Sunday evening with rain in the area the reservation was unnecessary. When we made the reservation, we were told we could only eat on the main floor. Because the restaurant was not busy we asked if they had space for us in the basement. They did. The basement is essentially a cave under the restaurant with seating for about 20. It makes for a more intimate romantic and interesting environment. We ordered The salad with goat cheese and cucumbers, which was delicious. The goat cheese medallions were essentially half inch discs. For the fondue we ordered the Savoyed which was delicious. The service was quick, very friendly, and the fondue was beyond expectations. We wanted to try the cheeseboard, but decided discretion was the better part of valor. They do a good job of knowing how much fondue you can eat since we finished our pot and we're both very happy with no leftovers. We really like this restaurant, and the owner is very attentive, and a very happy person. The food is delicious and the ambience cannot be beat. If you are looking for a romantic meal, this should be at the top of your list.

Yelp
You have to order the fondue and raclette per person here so we ordered a 2 person raclette and 2 person fondue and it was more than enough! This was a great fondue experience and the cheese was so quality and delicious. The restaurant itself is on the smaller side so be prepared to be right next to your neighbor! Some of the tables are in what looks like an old wine cellar and the rock ambience is very cool. Overall I recommend this spot for fondue in Paris!

Yelp
Pain Vin Fromages offers an enjoyable and authentic fondue experience with a charming and cozy atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit if you find yourself in Paris looking for an interesting and memorable dinner. My wife and I actually stopped by here hoping to snag a free table on our last trip to Paris but they were unfortunately fully booked. When we decided to return to Paris this year we knew we had to make a redemption visit to Pain Vin Formages and made sure to make reservations ahead of time. They have a small upstairs, but the real start of the show is their downstairs dining area which is in a small brick-lined cellar area that transports you back to an older age of Paris. In terms of food they have one meat fondue option, but they definitely specialize in the cheese and they have a large number to cheese fondues to choose from along with some raclettes and traditional cheese platters. Being relative novices to the cuisine, we opted for their classic cheese fondue (Fondue Savoyarde) which comes with bread, and we added potatoes and a cured meat platter to round out our meal. It doesn't seem like a lot of food when it comes but it doesn't take long to fill up on the bread and cheese and we found that the amount of cheese they gave us was perfect for the two of us. The only weak point of the meal was the dessert as we opted for the chocolate fondue. Unfortunately isn't not really fondue so much as a very small plate of melted chocolate with a few fruits to dip. They don't even give you a strawberry or two, only apples and a few pieces of banana. The dessert was cheap, but I would have gladly paid more for a true chocolate fondue experience if that was offered. In the end the mediocre dessert wasn't enough to sour the experience overall, and we both left satisfied and happy to finally be able to experience the one that got away all those years ago.

Yelp
This was probably my favorite meal in Paris! Loved everything about the experience. We were seated downstairs, which kind of felt like a dungeon and we had no cell signal, but it was unique! Loved all the meats. The cheese was probably my favorite part. I really enjoyed this restaurant and experience and highly recommend you try it if you are in Paris.

Yelp
Wonderful! Do make a reservation as far in advance as you can, at least a week or two. Food is an experience and the service is friendly and will help you navigate the menu. The tartiflette is amazing and makes a great starter to share.

Yelp
Great service, huge portions, good for groups. Reservations needed on weekends. Can't go wrong with bread and cheese

Yelp
My wife and I greatly enjoyed this little fondue restaurant in June of 2022. We didn't speak French, but the owner and his assistants were most helpful in guiding us through the menu. We had what the owner said was "classic", which was about the basic fondue, the Savoyarde, I believe. It was of course served with a side plate of bread chunks, which we dipped into the delicious cheese mixture. It was Heavenly! We also had very tasty desserts. My wife had the cheesecake, while I had the hot apple pie with ice cream, cinnamon, and English cream. My dessert was one of the best of my week. If the food and service rated 10 on a 1-10, the ambience of Pain Vin Fromages was 12! From the mural out front to the warm, welcoming atmosphere inside, the restaurant seemingly transported us to the French countryside. All in all, a wonderful experience.

Yelp
Soo good. We got the fondue savoyarde and the assiette de jambon (plate of ham). That was cheesy wonderfulness. I really liked the taste of the cheese sauce with hints of white wine. Really good. The fondue only comes with bread but you can also order potatoes. The potatoes for me were unnecessary. I probably could have just eaten the bread and the ham with the cheese. So good. Service was great. The lady was super nice. We ordered in french but they can speak English too. We came at around 2pm and we got a table easily. But definitely make a reservation if you have to because this is worth it.

Yelp
I had to try raclette on my Paris trip- this was a cool historic place to do it. It was about 90 degrees inside and put us to sleep. Not a good place to eat before going out- great choice before falling into bed!
google avatar

Adrienne G.

Yelp
For an incredibly popular fondue place, we found it to be just okay We'd ca;;ed ahead for a reservation but noticed that all the patrons who came in did not have but were advised they could have a table for 90 min. And that was about right for the time it took to receive & consume our fondue Have to say it was pretty bland but the wine the waiter recommended was super buttery / oaky nad was the perfect flavor enhancer to the fondue. Not sure we would have enjoyed our meal as well had we not elected to get the recommended wine Served with potatoes and bread - it was a creamy white dinner all around but we were fed and back on our sightseeing way like all good tourists
google avatar

Darylynn D.

Yelp
I have never had fondue of any kind and I was excited to try it out in Paris. They only take reservations and they do walk-ins IF there is an available table and there is a time limit while dining. If you do not, you will be turned away. I ordered the classic, Savoyarde fondue and a plate of meat to go with the fondue. Each fondue comes with bread, but I wanted some meat. The fondue was delicious and the classically creamy. The meat was sliced thinly and great with the cheese. This place is also great because they have raclette, which I didn't get a chance to try, but will definitely try my next trip to Paris.

Yelp
Très bien. C'était super! Je suis américaine et mon française n'est pas très bien, alors je vais écrire en anglaise. In short, it was an amazing experience from the beginning to the end. I ate with a party of 6, and despite having no reservation, the servers were more than welcoming. We were located in their beautiful downstairs cave and our server was incredibly nice, hardworking, and went beyond to ensure a fantastic meal (then again, the French are awesome). She masterfully delivered an A+ performance as she manned at least 5 tables alone. goes to show how stellar she was. As 6, we ordered 2 cheese fondues (recommend the standard flavor), along with a platter of assorted meats and a raclette. And for desserts, we enjoyed un fondue au chocolat et un crème brûlée (my favorite). A little disappointed with the chocolate fondue since it's not in a pot but they were all enjoyable and I'd recommend them any day. Hope you enjoy just as much, if not more, then I did!

Yelp
Great little place! I checked this place out for my birthday! I do recommend reserving in advance as they do get full, especially if you're a big group. A lot of variety!

Yelp

Kern S.

Yelp
We went without a reservation, and were asked to vacate the table (which was reserved) in 90 minutes, which was not a problem for us. They actually never came back to remind us, and we stayed beyond the 90 minute limit. Portions were generous. The atmosphere was convivial. House wine (varietal I don't remember) was reasonably priced and good match for the food. Service was friendly. The dining area was one floor down from the street level, so no windows & no internet.

Yelp
I just stopped by again this past weekend. Although we had reserved over 2 weeks ahead of time, the service and overall experience did not measure up to the last time I was here. First of all, service was very lukewarm (whereas it was excellent during my prior visit), and we were seated at a table near the door. We ordered the fondue Savoyarde for two - which tasted good, but was not mixed properly because the cheese and the alcohol kept on separating. Our burner was also a bit flimsy and did not hold our fondue pot in place, whereas the two tables next to us were given sturdier ones. While they refilled our bread without extra charge, both bread baskets were stale, as if day-old bread was used instead of fresh bread. (We had plenty of fresh bread during this trip to tell the difference.) The side salad, cornichons, and charcuterie that we had with the fondue were good, however. They do have a drink list and dessert menu, but by the end of the meal, we were too full to try it. I may come back - but I'd probably try to get in a bit earlier so that the bread might perhaps not be as stale.

Yelp
First, I am very glad I made reservations online through the restaurants website, as many people came into the restaurant while we were eating wanting a table and per the host it was full until the next day, and a late reservation at that (we are talking 9:30 and 10:30 pm). When communicating online with the restaurant, they promptly returned emails confirming our time (all in English). The food itself was delicious. We got a traditional fondue, which came with bread, pickles, and a lovely dressed salad (the vinaigrette in Paris continued to be a delight wherever we went). On the side we ordered the white ham and oh my god that was a good decision. We finished everything, even when it seemed impossible. With a good bottle of white wine we were in food heaven, and it will remain one of my favorite meals while visiting Paris.

Yelp
We walked into the restaurant at 8PM on a Thursday night. We asked the waitress if there were open seats and she asked if we had reservations. We didn't and she asked us to talk to the gentlemen standing behInd the cashier. He said that if we can be finished by 9:45PM then the table is ours. We said that we can be done before then. We were quickly seated at our table and looked over the menu. Our waitress came and explained some of the food options to us. We ordered our starter and main dish. Our food came out quickly as we were on a time crunch. We ate our salads then came the main course. We follow a Vlogger on YouTube and he had suggested that we give this location a try when we are in town. And he didn't let us down. The cheese, bread and meat selections were amazing! We enjoyed our food but it was very filling. We ate as much as our belly allowed and then called for our check as we didn't want to take up a longer time then we promised the gentleman upstairs. Overall, great accommodating service. Food was excellent!

Yelp
I came here under the recommendation of a well known food vlogger on youtube, strictly dumpling. We arrived to Pain Vin Fromage relatively late in the night with no reservation. Thankfully, we were accommodated for a table within 30 minutes during a full and busy service. I love this place because it is non-pretentious cuisine that is typical with restaurants in Paris. The athmosphere is very cozy and intimate and it truly highlights the at-table founde or raclette experience. We personally ordered the raclette with a plethora of meats, bread, and cheese. It was a first time experience to have a raclette machine right on the table where you can heat up the cheese to your preference and pour it upon the meats and bread. It was remiscent of Korean bbq but in a French way, I must also mention that the smell once you walk into the door is unforgettable and mouthwatering. The total for two diners ordering a raclette and meat option came out to under 30 euros, it was well worth it because we were there for close to an hour enjoying the experience whole heartedly. I love this place, truly a hidden gem. Try to make reservations beforehand!! - Ansel Ponce Diama

Yelp
Absolutely amazing, delicious food with high quality ingredients! Our servers were so nice and we got way too much food...I think we were stuffed until next week! This is a great place to have a fondue experience and the basement in which we ate in was quaint, cozy, and a bit romantic! This is a spot I would visit again if I was in the area!

Yelp
Wanted to try fondue for the first time in my life in Paris but shouldn't have come to a place like here. The bf & I stumbled across this restaurant on a Sat night at 10PM with no reservations (TIP: make reservations in advance!). From the start, the person who I assume is the owner (male, bald, 40s-50s) was rude - saying he had no tables. But there's something called waiting, right? We waited around 15 minutes (which really wasn't bad for having no reservations) & ended up sharing a table of 4 with another couple who didn't have reservations either. FOOD: - Savoyard fondue +3/5 Mediocre at most. The fire kept going out, the cheese tasted a bit bland (& after a week in Paris, trust me - I think we have somewhat of an idea of what good cheese tastes likes), & the bread was just ok. The dish itself comes only with cheese & bread so you need to pay extra for salad (ridiculously big pieces of only romaine lettuce with some dressing), potatoes, meats, etc.. SERVICE: - It took around 15 minutes just to get the waiter's attention. I felt as if she was almost avoiding us because she was so busy with the other tables? Things didn't get much better throughout the rest of the meal. Getting more bread, water, & attention overall was pretty difficult. You could see it on the facial expressions of everyone else in the restaurant that people were visibly annoyed by the slow service. Either management has to hire more servers or get rid of some tables because as much as we felt bad for the servers, the service was ridiculously slow - & yes, even slower than the average Parisian service. Overall, I'd skip the place if you're visiting Paris. I'm sure there's way better places out there. :)

Yelp
Love love love Honestly just stop in but sit up stairs as downstairs is a basement and you'll die of heat down there. Great service Make sure you ask questions so you get exactly what u want

Yelp
This is probably my new favorite restaurant in Paris. I saw some negative reviews and you can disregard them. The staff are extremely helpful and the customer service was top notch. The food was to die for! Everything was so good and we even went for the cheesecake at the end. Make a reservation! The staff all speaks English and can assist you when you call. The mixed plate raclette is what we ordered, but I'd love to come back for the fondue or order tartiflette next time. Go here!!!

Yelp
Interactive dining at its best. If you like Bread, Wine and Cheese, and a cozy romantic rustic atmosphere then this place is for you. How much do I love this place? Like a lot! The first time I went I ordered the recommended typical Fondue Savoyarde and Raclett which came with cured meats, potatoes. You prepare your own bites by melting the Raclette on a dish under the heat of this small two person burner. We liked to toast the bread and the meats and eat it like a sandwich. Others pour the hot cheese over your potatoes and meats. I was eyeing the table next to and noticed they had another fondue looking pot that they swished meat into, similar to Shabu. The next time in Paris I tried all three, and they all fit on the tiny table. I love interactive dining, it's entertaining, and everyone plays a role in what they're eating. I fell in love with this place so much, I bought a Raclette machine for my home to introduce my friends to this style and give them a taste of Paris. This place is small, reservations and flexibility are a must. You might get lucky going early and agree to exit the table quickly or go late and hope that someone ended early.

Yelp
This is a cute Parisian cafe that specializes in cheese fondue. The service was friendly, but not overbearing, which is French service across the board. However, there was something about the cheeses that evening that both my friend and I had unsettled tummies afterwards, so I'm docking them a star. We chose the Fondue Meridionale, a custom blend of 3 varieties of cheeses mixed with white wine, tomato and Provencal herbs. Sooner than it took us to choose the fondue, a nice bubbling pot of cheese was placed before us. The cheese was silky and potent, with a strong wine flavor. It paired nicely with the breads they provided. The charcuterie meats were too salty for my taste though, and quite decadent alongside all that cheese. Overall we had a nice meal, but because we both had tummy aches after, it probably wasn't a fluke.

Yelp
My husband and I had such a great time at this place. We had their Religieuse raclette, two green salads (lettuce and balsamic vinaigrette), half a bottle of wine, and two espressos. Everything was really good and the restaurant experience was great! It was a lot of fun. We came on a Saturday around 5:30pm and were lucky to be seated right away, it was full around 6pm and they weren't allowing people to come in unless they had a reservation.

Yelp
Make a reservation! This place is everything the reviews promise it to be! We walked in on a Thursday night but they were booked for the night, we were lucky enough to get a reservation for Friday night instead and while we dined we saw many parties get turned away because they were booked for two nights. We had the Savoyarde fondue with bread, potatoes and mixed hams, followed by the creme brûlée. I'm not exaggerating when I say this was hands down my FAVORITE meal in Paris! I can still taste the seasoning and just thinking about the flavors is making my mouth water! This place is GOLD! And the service was fantastic which only made our experience even better!

Yelp
So first thing to know is to definitely make reservations. The place is really popular. It looks small when you first enter, but there's a really lovely downstairs seating area that looks like a cobblestone castle. We sat downstairs and it was fine and cozy - not too hot. Their menu is very simple cheese, bread, and wine. I ordered their popular basic fondue, plate of ham, salad, and wine. I recommend the Fondue Savoyarde. The salad was nice and simple and helped balance the cheese fondue and meat. This is a do not miss experience while in Paris.

Yelp
I knew when I got to Paris that my diet would consist of Bread, Wine and Cheese, I know pretty simple when you think of all the culinary offerings Paris has but it was what I was craving and sometimes you just have to satisfy that want. After the meet up with Paris Yelpers at Brklyn we talked about getting some food, and after some research, we were lead to Pain Vin Fromages, well look at that, its everything I crave right in its name. But as quickly as I was happy to see the name of the place, we were told we would not be able to be seated since it was full, oh super sad face, so we sat outside looking for some place else to go try and after few minutes a server came to the door and told us we can get a table. Oh happiness!! I was introduced to raclette, so simple but yet soo dang good, don't go for the cheese fondue, try the raclette. I was told to try some things, so I ordered a plate of mixed meat and these amazing creamed/mashed potatoes. I forget the name of the dish, but omg they were sooo sooo good, cheesy, creamy deliciousness with the meat & bread oh I was in heaven, also had a few glasses of wine too. We were a party of 6, we had ordered a few bottles of wine and different types of dishes, but it only came out to 28 € for 2 of us. That's a bargain; I would have gladly paid more, so so good! If in Paris and you crave bread, wine & cheese this place is for you! Go, give it a try!

Yelp
I loved that place so much that I had to go back on my next visit to Paris after 5 years. Only one advice make sure you make a reservation otherwise you'll be very lucky if you were able to just manage somehow to eat there without one. We ordered the original fondue they serve and asked for potatos on the side. We loved it till the very last bite

Yelp
Cozy little spot in Saint Germain, Paris that will give you a true experience of what eating fondue really is. You must reserve, otherwise it can lead you to a long wait. Once you're in, you may be seated in the main floor or take to their basement, which I've heard it's like being transported to a wine cellar/cave like area. The fondue is beyond good. Their wine list is exceptional and personalized service, makes you feel at home. I cannot describe how delicious everything is. Although it gives you an impression of it being an old place, everything is extremely clean, including the bathroom, which is really hard to find in places like Paris. This will be also added to my "must come back" places in the city.

Yelp
Food and atmosphere are really good, we spent a very nice evening. The only downside maybe is that the owners obviously try to pack the place as much as possible. We were a party of 5. Instead of losing one seat and place us on a table of six, we were seated on a table of four, the fifth guest being at the end of table right in the way of the waitress, who even initially didn't have much space to move.

Yelp
I love this place especially their tomato fondue. I visited this place 3 times in the last 3 months and I live in US. Haha But I would suggest you do always make reservation and maybe bring your own wine if you are picky like me.

Yelp
We were static we were granted entry on a busy night w/out reservations but we're highly disappointed when they had nothing besides dread to dip into the cheese. I don't eat bread & would've preferred apples or meat options to purchase to accompany my meal. We were also told there would be no carry outs.... what? So we poured our cheese into a cup we had & took it with us-we ate it in our room with cold cuts & apples. It wasn't bad but we couldn't finish it, the cheese was very pungent (blue) wish we would've tried another one but we couldn't we had to order 2 portions of the same cheese, a little silly if you ask me.

Yelp
Excellent fondue!! Great atmosphere, great service, great food! This was my first time having fondue and I am now a fan! My friend and I had the Viking salad (egg, smoked salmon, fresh cream) and one of the cheese fondues for 2. We wanted to try the beef fondue in oil, but each order is for two people and that would have just been too much food. This was truly a great meal!

Yelp
Excellent fondue!! We were looking for dinner and I came across this place on Yelp. Make sure you make a reservation first! They tend to book up. Luckily you can email or call to ensure one. We ordered a bottle of white wine (cannot remember the name) and ordered the cheese toasts to start. For dinner, we ordered the fondue(the first one on the menu), a plate of ham and a salad. We LOVED the cheese toasts! We enjoyed trying the different cheeses and the raclette was our favorite! The fondue was amazing. The different flavors were so so good, as well as the bread! We weren't so keen on the ham plate. We only liked one of the various hams. The others were very tough and not flavorful. The salad was also very good. I wish I could've tried the raclette while I was here! Definitely get the fondue while you're here!

Yelp
Yum!! Best meal I had in Paris :) We tried to make a reservation the day of, but the only time slot they had available was 9:30pm so we ended up having a late dinner. The restaurant has a very home-y feel to it, and the employees were very friendly. They have an English menu, which is a plus. We ordered the fondue savoyarde (which comes with bread), along with a plate of mixed ham and a salad. The fondue was DELICIOUS. Cheese melted to the perfect consistency in the pot and had a nice sharp taste. I'm a huge fan of cheese, and this is probably the best cheese I've ever had in my life. The plate of mixed ham and the salad weren't anything to rave about, but still complimented the cheese well. They also recommended a very reasonably priced bottle of white wine which paired very nicely with the entire meal. Highly recommend checking this place out if you're in the mood for fondue!!
