The 26 Best Restaurants in Panama City | Eater

"Few of Panama City’s dim sum places embrace the traditional push cart service quite like Lung Fung Palace, a cornerstone of the scene since 1973. With inscription-carved wooden walls and green-and-white checkered tablecloths, the restaurant evokes a Hong Kong tea house on a bustling corner of the Panamanian capital. Diners can savor juicy shrimp har gow, rice paper rolls stuffed with char siu pork, and tortilla de maíz con pescado (fish tortilla). Together, they create a unique and beloved desayuno Chino, as locals fondly call this Chinese breakfast tradition." - Jorge Chanis

Love their shrimp dumpling, always so busy, very nice staff working there.

Poor quality of food. How do you mess up a simple fried rice? Sweet and sour ribs were more like boiled ribs with sweet and sour sauce. Ended up paying the bill and not eating the food. Service was good and attentive

We visited in the evening really wanting to get dim sum and the staff was very accommodating and helpful. Even though their Norma dim sum hours were over, they still provided a number of steamed items which were more than enough and super tasty. Staff was able to help us with English translations and everything was super. Highly recommend

Very tasty menu. Definitely old school Chinese restaurant vibe and style. Lung Fung Rolls - 4/5 Roast Pork - 4/5 Lung Fung Fried Rice - 4/5 The rolls were crispy and delicious. Roast pork was very good. Cooked well and a tasty sauce. Fried rice was equally amazing. Lots of proteins and cooked really well.

Had very high expectations considering the long 50+ years history and the previous reviews... overall the restaurant looks old and needs some serious maintenance/cleaning/renovation... food was below average and was lacking taste/flavour and presentation... half a pekin duck seemed more like a leg than an actual half a duck.. dim sum were rubber like, overcooked and not tasty.. service was not worth it... buffet would have been better.. employees there do not seem to care for tourists... I will never go back.. others can try it and make their own mind...

They bring the food in carts to you and you choose what you want to eat. Most of the items were fine but nothing outstanding. Nothing for a vegetarian during the breakfast or brunch time. No eggs or nothing without meat or fish. A few sweet pastries. But the place was full.

A childhood staple and known dim sum restaurant in Panama, easy to say it still represents the epitome of cantonese and chinese food in the country. A cart that passes and serve you food like old times in baskets, its background, decoration and cutlery feels exactly like when you first meet your first time in dim sum. Highly recommend and with family even better. 👍

The food there was lovely we enjoyed everything on the menu. The staff. was kind to us and brought out our meals quickly. We didn't speak Spanish but they tried their best to communicate with us. I will be back in the future. 🥰🥰🥰❤️
