Driving up, we were skeptical since it’s an industrial zone. We didn’t know there was a parking lot across the street from the restaurant so we parked in a neighborhood. Walking into the restaurant, I was amazed at the beautiful interior in the back. I can definitely see people renting this place out for events, there’s a lot of greenery and it’s a big open space. We ordered the Quattro platter appetizer to share and we had carbonara, seafood risotto, meatballs. The food was beautifully presented, the appetizer was really good! I would definitely come back to this restaurant.

Ordered the Fettuccine con pollo and my husband got the Shrimp Fettuccine Alfredo and both dishes were so tasty! Had a Friday night dinner here and the ambience was great, so much seating and an open space. I did make a reservation but it isn't needed if you have a small party. I especially loved my dish, so creamy, cheesy, the sundried tomatoes and mushrooms added a nice touch. I recommend this place for pasta!

What a hidden gem in San Jose. When you arrive, they have a parking lot across the street with an attendant, that also works as a crossing guard. Myself and a friend went and we couldn’t decide what we wanted so we asked if we could split plates and they let us do that. It was amazing that we could try both dishes, Which has me wanting to go back for more. In my opinion, that’s how a restaurant should be… you cannot wait for your next visit...well since this review I keep returning and trying new items and my favorite is still their amazing spaghetti & meatballs.

Kristina Kutepova

Google
At first I was very skeptical about the place, but it was gone after the first visit. Keep coming back for the nice atmosphere and very tasty food. This time we got options from a special menu. And first time trying their pizza - Parma - should be in a regular menu. Everything was delicious

For the past 4 years we have been coming to celebrate our aunts 100th, 101st, 102nd, 103rd and now her 104th birthday. The staff is heads and tails the best staff ever. We brought the decorations. They helped decorate. The food as always is always great. Highly recommend them for any special event.

Google
It's a nice restaurant with open air dining area, very cozy and good for friends hanging out. I really like the fried zucchini. And the meatballs are good too. The only challenge is the parking space is limited, and have to park in another one few blocks away.

Google
Authentic italian cuisine, you feel like you are in Italy dining in a local restaurant. Service is always impecable every time I go and food is always perfectly cooked and seasoned. Highly recommend for any occasion as the place has plenty of seating and heaters. My favorite is their minestrone soup, one of the best in the area and fresh.

Google
A very authentic underrated italian place. We went there for a Friday dinner and was well received by their staffs. They have a dedicated spacious car parking. The restaurant spawns in a ground floor with soothing lights and good atmosphere. They gave us complimentary breads, which was good. We ordered gnocchi, chicken ravioli, salmon grill and a salmon pasta. The gnocchi and salmon stole the show. We finished our dinner with tiramisu which was too good. The service was very quick and the staffs attended us in a very friendly manner.

Yelp

Yelp
Very charming place with good food (we had salmon fettuccine & spaghetti) excellent service. We will go back!

Yelp
Random cute thing is its in a very random place with just the restaraunt in like a neighborhood/school district but they have crossing guards! There is a small lot across the street but also street parking. I was surprised by the enormous size of this place and you could definitely fit an entire extended family. They decorated it cutely with string lights and there's like a huge open space and a smaller more private in the back. The servers were funny and Italian. They were like you are transported to sicily and did ask multiple times if we wanted drinks. But attentive ( we also went really late and hour before closing) it seems to be a popular date spot with an open ambiance. We did have multiple check ins and drank so much water the server left the carafe on our table lol. We only got pasta which had a good price for the portion. Also they gave us a whole little waste basket of bread which i felt like was half a baguette and for two girls - very happy carb munch. Olive oil and butter both provided and good tasting ( not astringent or anything). Offered parmesean grated on top. Gnocchi aurora- wow I think why 5 stars. The best gnocchi I have ever tasted. I expected a richer sauce but its a robust tomatoe flavor. The gnocchi is perfectly made, has that qq chewy bounce but isn't mushy and clings onto the sauce well. Like perfect mix between flour and potato. I usually find it too hard or too mushy but this was perfect. I think this would be great with a red pepper flake vodka sauce or plain butter and sage. Fettuccine con pollo- cheaper than fettuccine with chicken. Has dried tomatoes and mushrooms. The chicken is dry. But again good pasta, perfectly cooked. I appreciate that the Alfredo sauce wasn't oily and cooked to a good texture that clung to the noodles. I liked the late night ambiance it's a surprisingly cute place. Outside can be a bit scary as its very dark. They really know their pasta.

Yelp
I came here for a date night with my boyfriend over the weekend. He called in to make a reservation for 6:30pm. Parking is confusing at first until you see the big restaurant sign that says parking in huge lettering when you're driving past by. Parking was free, and the attendants helped us walk/cross the road over to the restaurant. We got seated promptly and was given drink and food menus. Our server was awesome, he recommended us some favorite items on the food and drink menus. We ordered some drinks to start off with and oh my, I thought they were pretty strong. Once watered down a bit, it was delicious. We ordered the arancine rice balls for our appetizers. It was good with the marinara sauce, but I felt like the rice ball itself could've been more savory. The marinara sauce securely complemented the appetizer though. Our main courses were the spaghetti and meatballs along with the seafood linguine they offered there. I got the spaghetti and meatballs, and it tasted perfect. The meatballs had flavor and was still piping hot off the dish. My boyfriend devoured his seafood linguine, and said he would come back again for it in the future. Service here is A1. We were checked on many times and had water refills. You don't feel rushed eating here, they make you feel comfortable and the outdoor atmosphere is nice. One thing to note about the service was that the sun was in my boyfriend's face and the server noticed. He went over to move the big umbrellas to make shade, it was so thoughtful. Later on as it cooled down, I saw some girls sitting on the edge of the restaurant getting a little cold, the servers went over to draw the drapes so the wind wouldn't hit them. 10/10 service. I'll be back to try the ravioli and pizza next time because I saw a lot of people ordering it!

Yelp
Came here with my partner we always see it near our area and heard from others it's good. Ambiance They have a large dining area with seating both indoors with partly outside, on a deck and one section with AC. It's well decorated and made me feel at home. Service Services was amazing, everyone was so friendly and accommodating. The food was prepared very fast. We were in and out within and hour. Food We felt like the food was very homey. It wasn't amazing but good. We've also never seen chicken parm with veggies and potatoes, that was interesting but good. The drinks were very good.

Yelp
Visited Palermo for the first time on a Sunday evening around 8pm as a party of two. There is street parking and also a retail/commercial parking garage about 6 minute walk away. Didn't have a reservation but we were seated immediately! Decent amount of vegetarian options - we ordered the Fettucine Alfredo and the Penne Palermo for mains followed by tiramisu for dessert. Fettuccine Alfredo (3/5): Creamy in texture but it lacked the rich and savory flavor. Fell flat for us Penne Palermo (3.5/5): The tomato based sauce gave the dish some flavor but it still could have used more seasoning. The eggplant was tasty Tiramisu (5/5): Nice way to end the meal! The tiramisu was light and sweet. Would recommend Tiramisu was delicious, but the pasta dishes didn't stand out to us as they could have been more flavorful. Customer service was good. I'm glad I got to dine here but unsure if I would come back. Overall, I would give Palermo a 3.5, rounding down to 3.

Yelp
My husband and I decided to try more independent historical restaurants in San Jose, and this one was on our list. We came on a busy Saturday night without a reservation but were seated quickly. The restaurant was bigger than I expected, with cute décor, though we were placed in a plain room instead of the beautiful garden area. Service started fine, but then things went downhill. My husband's Johnny Walker came in a broken glass, and when replaced, the new glass had a fly in it. My eggplant Parmesan was bland, and even the bread service felt unclean--the cloth it came in was visibly dirty. By the end, my husband said he'd never return, and I sadly agreed. What I hoped would be a spontaneous, romantic night out turned into a huge disappointment!

Yelp
This was my first trip, and hopefully not my last to Palermo Italian restaurant. From the outside, you wouldn't believe how cavernas and big it is inside. I was impressed with all the different decor you could choose from for your dining experience. I came for the spaghetti and meatballs that I saw on YELP for $18. I ordered it even though the price had gone up to $24 and it came within 10 minutes. It came with slices of bread, balsamic vinegar, and olive oil. Very tasty and I was satisfied with the pasta and the meatballs. I would definitely come later for the other items that I saw on the tasty menu. I give it four stars only because of the price difference, and the drink that I ordered tasted funny, even though I had it made twice .

Yelp
Move to the area and took a different street to work and saw this. Came here for Father's Day dinner, it looked packed on the patio but to my surprise it was huge inside and we went to another part which had a lot of people and there was a whole other part we didn't even see. Large without feeling empty. Nice views along the creek and great outdoor summer spot. All the staff was friendly and attentive. The food was amazing. We got chicken parm and a small pizza, cheese cake and gelato. Everything was spectacular! Highly recommend and coming back to try more.

Yelp
Another great experience! Food and service were excellent. Although I had made a reservation for 6:30 when we arrived I could tell they were overwhelmed. It looked like they were having a company party. However, I was still sat less than 10 minutes after my reservation time. Our server helped us promptly and the food came very quick. Everyone left full and satisfied. Can't wait for the next visit! Next time I'm trying the pizza because it looks so good!
google avatar

Yelp
Went here for a birthday dinner and was very impressed with this restaurant. The service was amazing, they checked in with us multiple times and ensured everyone was having a great time. The food itself was pretty good, with options set for the party. The party buffet included aperol spritz (yum!!), chicken picatta, two pasta options and a veggie pizza. I thought the pizza was the best part of the night, as the pastas were more on the bland side. However, the vibes inside the restaurant made up for the food, with beautiful fairy lights, open air and a stunning view of the nature right behind us! I would definitely give this place another try!

Yelp
My boyfriend brought me fettuccine alfredo with chicken from this restaurant and it was the best fettuccine alfredo i've ever had in my life. I've been hoping to go there in person soon to tru everything. He told me the vibe of the place seemed authentic italian and that the service was great when he went to pick up. Would definitely get food from here again

Yelp
I been comming to Palermo for years from there orginal location in downtown San jose to their new location. The italian food here is the best ,hands down. I love their pasta with clams. The brushetta and bread is to die for. Of course finally cappuccino for desert . Overall where ever you live in the bay area it's worth the drive

Yelp
My leftover tutto mare actually tasted even better hence the 4+ star. I'm not sure why people are complaining about parking as there's plenty in the overflow lot. Food wise, I think it's better than average to good. Executive Summary: + Very large party friendly and good customer service (5/5) + Spacious dining areas with nice decor for every holiday (5/5) + Vegan menu and gluten free pizza looks great (5/5) + Customizable options such as side of pasta instead of veggies (5/5) + Quattro appetizer hits the mark if you like fried goodies but could use a hint of salt on the calamari (4/5) What could be better: - Tutto mare customized with wine sauce was a little bland at first but the abundance of seafood was delightful (3/5) - Wife ordered seafood linguine that was OK but she had to add more peppers and cheese to make it tasty (3/5) I think we ordered wrongly on our entrees. I probably could've added salt, more Parmesan cheese and peppers to my wine sauce for a little more flavor. I did go off menu a bit since the tutto mare originally comes with marinara sauce. However, this place hits the mark on everything else. I'll certainly give it another try.

Yelp
I attended a Christmas lunch with a group of about 35 people and loved the restaurant! first of all, the atmosphere was amazing, good job on the decor. Secondly, our waiters were amazing: very attentive, polite, and friendly, everyone loved the lunch! thirdly, the food itself was delicious, the wine was good, and the dessert were breathtaking. I'll be back when I crave italian food :)

Yelp
Palermo is one of those places i would drive by and note in my head I should check that out. After so long of driving by and saying next time me and my friends implusively were like let's go to Palermo finally! I will say it was 100% worth the calamari was very good exactly what you want when you think Calamari. The inside was very pretty and nicely decorated for the holiday season. All of the food was so goood it has all of those authentic tastes that you're looking for when you think italian food. The service was very good til it got super busy but that's understandable but it took awhile to leave because of that

Yelp
So glad to see the reopening of one of my favorites. Have trouble deciding on Chicken Marsala, lobster Ravioli and Shrimp Amor. Service is top notch.Have eaten here dozens of times and never a disappointment. Oh and lets not forget the baked rolls and dipping oil !!! The atmosphere is terrific and tasteful.
google avatar

Yelp
This place has a lot of seating and has a very nice Christmas atmosphere with a bunch of pretty decorations. I think this place is a great place for big groups or a date. It's located near a park and some industrial buildings. The service is good, and the workers are friendly. I got the Fresh Dungeness Crab Ravioli. I thought the serving size for it was smaller than expected especially given its price. The ravioli was thin and soft. The sauce was creamy and delicious. I finished it pretty fast. We had a big group but I appreciated how they served all of our dishes together at the same time. It was a great experience coming here and I would come back again.
google avatar

Monica V.

Yelp
Came for a birthday dinner for family member. I had been there before but that was before their remodel. The patio was all covered and looked nice. They were pretty busy for a Saturday and the service came every once in a while. I only noticed since my order was i correct and it was a wait till our server came back. I had ordered the ravioli with meat sauce. I got a different ravioli with chicken. I didn't even know there was a different one on the menu. Once we let them know the mistake, I got my order pretty quickly. I may come back with a smaller group next time.
google avatar

Yelp
This is one of the best Italian restaurants I've ever eaten at. I would even say it is the best Italian restaurant I've experienced. From the atmosphere...to the food...to the staff. Top notch. I highly recommend this place!
google avatar

Jane E.

Yelp
Great authentic Italian food! I finally got to try it. Staff was great from the time we arrived. Pet friendly! We brought our dog. The patio area is nice and spacious, parking is easy. There are over flow lots and street parking.

Yelp
We love Palermo's, we came for a late birthday dinner last Saturday. It had been a year since we last came by, the front sitting area of the restaurant has been redone, looks very nice with a new bar area. We sat in the back, and were helped right away. Food was delicious and beautifully plated.
google avatar

M R.

Yelp
Mediocre Italian food. Lasagna had no flavor and pasta was overcooked. Stouffer's frozen lasagna is way better than what I had here. Crab stuffed ravioli only had 4 raviolis on the plate for $30. Only tasty thing was the Vodka sauce on the ravioli. Other than that, very disappointing.
google avatar

Jamie B.

Yelp
Wanted to update my review since it's been a while. Palermo will always be a consistent restaurant in our rotation. We still live close by and love coming here for special occasions. We stopped in for valentines 2025 and made a reservation. It was BUSY but the service was still great. Recently they also added a covered patio with a heater inside so the cold winter months don't affect your experience here. The food was great and my husband's short rib was DELICIOUS. It's a seasonal item but should be around for another 30 days or so, definitely a must try. If you're a wine person I definitely recommend bringing a bottle from home and paying the corkage to enjoy your favorite wine with some great Italian food.
google avatar

Yelp
I love the food and ambience at this restaurant. Try to get a table overlooking the Guadalupe creek. Restrooms are kind of weird but clean. My favorite things to order are the veal and seafood pasta. My 12 year old loves the spaghetti and meatballs and my 5 year old loves the plain pasta with olive oil (they are very accommodating if you want to customize kids food).

Yelp
We swung by Palermo for Mother's Day this past Sunday! Our server was Luciana and she was the sweetest! Her service alone made our first experience that much better! As my beverage, I decided on the Sicilian mule. It was nice and refreshing. For our appetizer, we ordered calamari. The batter was light and it was so flavorful. One of the best calamari we've had in awhile! For our entree, my mom and I split spaghetti carbonara and fettuccine boscaiola. The spaghetti carbonara was my favorite. It was rich and creamy! I'd definitely order that again. The fettuccine boscaiola was just okay. There wasn't much flavorful to be honest. The fettuccine was cooked to perfection though. We also ordered a pizza (half combination and half salsiccia). It was decent, would probably not order it again. Lastly, for dessert we ordered a tiramisu. It was a hit! Palermo is our new go to Italian spot in San Jose!

Yelp
We'd wanted to go to Palermo for quite some time. We had the opportunity to do lunch here on a beautiful day. We started with Chianti and a Bloody Mary. We were able to sample a couple of different Chianti's both were good. The Bloody Mary was good to the taste. The starter was Caesar Salad which we split it was a perfect amount for the two of us. We decided to get the veal piccata and linguine clams. Both were excellent choices. The veal was quite tender and the capers a great addition with spaghetti with marinara sauce. I believe the linguine clams were a bit better though with Lemon sauce. In my opinion the bill was reasonable, the staff were very attentive. I can't wait to return here soon!
google avatar

Yelp
Came for a large dinner party of about 20 of us and they were able to accommodate us. They are also dog friendly. Love the bar area and our waitress was so patient and really helpful. Food was fresh and amazing. Definitely try their Quattro appetizer! Sooo good! Hubby had crab ravioli which he devoured and I had the tutto mare linguini. I asked for extra sauce and it was perfect! Definitely a bit pricier, but do come for date night!

Yelp
Palermo was such a fun little spot, but the setup definitely threw me off at first. It's technically indoors, they've done a good job making it feel nice with overhangs, fairy lights and decorations, but it still has that makeshift, post-COVID expansion feel. The service, though? Absolutely incredible. Jean, our server, was SO friendly, super attentive, and gave great menu recommendations. Plus, the food came out crazy fast, which I really appreciated. I started with an espresso martini, and honestly? One of the best I've ever had--perfectly balanced, not too sweet, just so good. For an appetizer, we got the calamari, which was pretty standard, I liked that they included both rings and tentacles for a nice mix. For mains, my boyfriend got the spaghetti carbonara, which we both really liked, but it was super heavy. Actually, all our dishes leaned on the rich side. I had the pesto gnocchi b their chicken parmigiana, which I LOVE that they let you do. You can mix and match any pasta with their chicken parm, which is such a fun little perk. The chicken itself was crispy, saucy, and exactly what I wanted. We finished with the tiramisu, which was light and airy, but I wish it had a stronger coffee flavor. One more thing to note--the parking situation is pretty solid. There are a few parallel spots nearby, a small parking lot across the street, and another one just a block away, so you don't have to stress about finding a spot. The area around Palermo can feel a little rough, with a lot of RVs parked nearby. It's not a dealbreaker, but just something to be aware of if you're sensitive to the surroundings Overall, Palermo has great food, insanely good service, and a unique little vibe. The space is kinda unconventional, but if you're looking for a cozy Italian spot with big flavors, it's definitely worth checking out!
google avatar

Yelp
Parking is a nightmare if you are not used to the area. There were some signs to lead us to their overflow parking since the parking lot right across from the restaurant was full. Additionally, they had a hostess at the front of the restaurant giving everyone directions to find their overflow parking. Went here for Father's Day and it was quite busy, but that did not stop the servers from hustling. These servers were RUNNING everywhere, bussing and serving tables, I was pretty impressed. They even check in on you frequently to make sure everything is ok. Complimentary bread, butter, balsamic vinegar + olive oil is a plus! Note: they didn't have a non-alcoholic menu so we just ordered a regular beverage off the top of our head. This restaurant is pretty huge and beautiful. The only downside to this was that I came on a hotter day and since we had outside seating, there was no AC. Spaghetti with meatballs - 4/5 stars. A plate of spaghetti with 4 big meatballs. It's not blowing spaghetti and meatballs or anything, we just ordered this to try a classic dish. Carbonara pasta - 4.75 star. Solid carbonara pasta. The sauce was rich and creamy and the flavor was delicious. I would definitely recommend the carbonara to friends and family. Overall 4.5/5 stars. Would definitely return! Portion sizes were large enough to keep us full.

Yelp
First time at this place visiting from Los Angeles my brother suggested this place he's a local. Very friendly ambiance. The food fantastic definitely will be coming back best calamari I've had and the eggplant Parmesan family also enjoyed their dinner.

Yelp
Love coming to Palermo's! Great food, fantastic service by Franco, and fabulous owner of the restaurant who was very kind to us. Franco knew the food and wine very well and gave recommendations. Diane is so sweet and made us feel right at home. I forget how lovely their patio is especially at night. Get the pizza, fettuccine with meat sauce and peas, and tiramisu. Tiramisu was better than spumoni ice cream. Loved their salted caramel ice cream too.

Yelp
The perfect spot for a date night! I can't believe it took me this long to finally try this spot out. The food was absolutely delicious, the interior is cozy, and the service was nothing but great. I'll definitely be back

Yelp
We hosted a large party in the back room at Palermo's last weekend and we couldn't have requested a better experience!! The food was delectable and the service was EXCEPTIONAL. We felt very catered to the entire time. The staff were all very observant, kind & supportive. They have employed some of the finest! They assisted us set up a projector so we could display a slideshow during our event and that went seamlessly. They arranged the tables swiftly and were regularly checking on us to ensure we had everything we required and that the orders were precise. The event coordinator Diane was also very simple to work with and accommodating. They also offered many food choices for all of our party's dietary restrictions (gluten free, vegetarian). All in all 5/5 experience and we can't wait to return. Thank you everyone!

Yelp
ONE OF THE BEST pasta places I've been to! My friends surprised me with a birthday dinner here, and the ambiance was so cute! They had fairly lights hanging everywhere and the service was great. Our waiter definitely knew his wine, and we were very appreciative! The Chicken Alfredo was delicious along with the warm bread.

Yelp
Excellent Service by Franco... Welcome well at Reception . Great testy Food ! Love to visit again . Thanks PATEL

Yelp
I've been to Palermo a few times, and I still don't know quite how to characterize it. It's kind of easy to miss - it's just past an auto body repair shop. The parking is in an unmarked lot across the street. There's an enormous power-line tower just behind the restaurant. The place is a little run down and funky, but the outdoor seating can be really pleasant if the weather is good. The menu is definitely dated - it feels like it hasn't been updated since the 90s. But on the plus side, they serve veal piccata, which very few Italian restaurants make anymore. The service is friendly, and and fast. The staff seems to cover for one another; if your waiter is busy, somebody else will swing by your table to see if you need anything. And here's the thing - the food is really good. I mean every part of the meal is *really good* If a dish comes with vegetables, its an interesting mix, nicely presented, and properly seasoned and sauced... not just some steamed broccoli dumped on the plate. If it's a pasta dish, it's perfectly cooked. The bread is soft on the inside with a crunchy crust. And the desserts are heaven on a plate. It can be a little pricey, but you get a good meal, with generous portions, and attentive, helpful service.

Jerry J.

Yelp
Ambiance and service are good some of the food not so much. The fried calamari is well cooked but only comes with a marina dipping sauce. The same sauce used on most of the dishes served. It needs to be served with a seafood cocktail sauce, tarter sauce, or aioli sauce. The lasagna was a huge disappointment. It consisted of pasta and marina sauce only - no cheese that I could find. Packaged lasagna from Costco is much better.
google avatar

Dre R.

Yelp
COCKROACHES, COCKROACHES and cockroaches!! If you like eating around then, this is the place to go! As soon as you walk into the first restroom, they were there. One crawling around the sink, another stuck to the glue around the restroom. Let's try the second restroom, sure enough, you opened the door and right there on the sink is a live cockroach crawling. It made the food unappealing and hard to eat!! Just had a few bites of the pesto gnocchi which was tasty, but if the cockroaches are so close to the kitchen, I'm sure they are living next door to the kitchen too!! Eewww!! The chicken Alfredo was good as well as the veil. But that was how I felt with the first bites before making out trip to the restroom!!! We did notify the hostess whom said they knew and were working on it. Yeah, no thanks!!!! Wondering how this place can be reported!

Yelp
Second review with a party of 6: this is my second review, a party of six of us and some good cooks a part of this party. They did not disappoint! Off the top excellent customer service, very friendly, patient and our server had excellent suggestions as 4 of us 6 were new. The appetizer he recommended was a hit and we al agreed the meatballs were a slice of heaven covered in Sunday sauce!! Each of us loved our selections and one of my friends who's a wine person said for a house wine it was delicious and had legs (wine lingo). They servers and staff kept checking on us and cleaning off plates being super attentive. We were thanked for the intro and all of us WILL BE BACK! Sorry no food pics but the company, the ambiance and the food were so good it allowed us to really disconnect and enjoy one another!

Yelp
Me and my bf have been hunting for a good italian restaurant since coming back from Italy recently. We got takeout first & foremost. I wasn't able to comment on the service however, my bf said the host was friendly. It's only fair to rate each food item rather than the establishment as a whole. I think overall I wanted something more authentic so I wasn't thoroughly impressed but it's a good place to get Italian-American cuisine to beat cravings! Starting off with the carbonara: honestly quite good. I think everything was cooked perfectly but a bit too oily/heavy for my liking. Overall yummy! I rate 3.5/5 Spaghetti and meatballs: This was a standard spaghetti and meatball dish, nothing too out of the ordinary! Bf said the red sauce was on the sweeter side. Rate: 3/5 Margherita with added Pepperoni: Pepperoni was an added fee but we both love pepp-pizza and wanted to get a 2 for 1 deal. I had high hopes for this pizza but I thought it reminded me of the ones you get at a theme park. I think the cheese was a bit too overpowering in this. Normally margherita cheese is often less than the normal amount. My bf really liked the crust though! Overall 3/5 Giving an extra star for the star of the show: Tiramisu! I thought this dessert was yummy! Everything you want in a tiramisu 5/5

Yelp
Palermo is a great spot if you're looking for a quality plate of pasta. Something noteable about this place is that they are gluten free friendly. They offer gluten free pizza toppings, gluten free bread and gluten free pasta. They offer a great selection of pasta, salads and appetizers to share. The cocktails are about $15 which is pretty typical nowadays. I was pleasantly surprised by the interior. The restaurant features a large half indoor-half outdoor patio. The cute string lights really adds a warm and cozy vibe to the interior. Theres some firepits as well to stay warm on cold nights. Service was the worst part of our experience. Our server took 20 minutes to start taking our order and didn't check on us during our meal. He was so absent during our experience, it didn't feel like we really had a waiter. It took even longer to track our waiter down for the check. On the bright side, everything from the free bread to the dessert was through and through delicious. The free bread was spongy, warm and crisp. *Limoncello cocktail - sweet, tarte and not too strong. Would get it again! *The appetizer plate featured calamari, mozzarella caprese, meatballs, and zucchini fries. Each item was seasoned well and tasty. The zucchini was on the soggier side though. *Crab ravioli - For $30, I did expect more than 4 pieces of ravioli but the quality was there so I shouldn't be complaining. The Dungeness crab was sweet and fresh- not that canned crab flavor. The vodka sauce was perfectly acidic yet rich and creamy (the perfect sauce for dipping bread too!) *Lemon cake was my favorite of the two desserts. The lemon flavor was sweet with just that nice touch of tartness. The cake was soft and delicate. *The tiramisu was *chefs kiss* AMAZING. So spongy and soft. Each bite just melted effortlessly in my mouth. The mascarpone cream was rich with that coffee flavor. Price wise, the food was pretty pricey at about $20-$30 a person. A dinner for 5 people came out to about $360. Just expect to spend a bit more here even though the restaurant itself is not super upscale. The food quality does reflect the price. Final thought: The food was fabulous. The servers were friendly but service was frustrating to sit through. A dinner shouldn't take 2 hours honestly. The area where the restaurant is located is a bit rough. The parking lot is about one block away and the walk there is full of trailers/RVs. At night it could be a little sketchy so I would walk with caution and be aware of your surroundings.

Yelp
Arrived at Palermo and surprised at how BIG it is. Lots of good choices on the menu, so I thought I'd grab an Old Fashioned to start my evening. I've been wanting an excuse to come over and one of the City Council Candidates is having a Meet/Greet, so I couldn't say no. Awesome decor and very relaxed atmosphere. I'm thinking of Eggplant Parma and some Minestrone Soup for a good mix of flavors. Back in a bit to tell you how it goes.. The soup was very good with fresh veggies and my drink very tasty. Eggplant presentation very nice indeed! I am certainly glad I finally came!

Yelp
Had a triple birthday lunch today. 14 people attended. The servers were very nice and kept a nice balance between attentive but not hovering. It seems as if everyone enjoyed their food and had no complaints. We had calamari, zucchini fries, and sautéed peppers as appetizers. Those who ate the calamari said it was very good. The zucchini fries were very delicate and light. The peppers were delicious. We shared the blue cheese salad. It is fresh and lightly dressed. I would like a bit more blue cheese, but it is a tasty salad. We also shared the Penne Palermo, which is a lovely pasta dish with ricotta, red sauce, and eggplant cooked perfectly. I would appreciate more eggplant, but we shared it 3 ways, so had I eaten it by myself, it may have seemed adequate. We also had a medium vegetarian pizza. I would've liked more eggplant on the pizza and maybe some chili oil to give it a kick, but it was tasty. The portions are very good and the staff is lovely. I don't think I would label it as authentic sicilian cuisine, but maybe a hybrid with American Italian/Sicilian. They do make their own ricotta filling for the cannoli, so you'll find it less sweet, which is what we look for in a cannoli. If you are also a fan of less sweet, I would request it with no chopped maraschino's on the ends. I would recommend the Coconut Mousse Martini and the Espresso Martini. The Sicilian Mule is also very good.

Yelp
Palermo's was suggested to us by a friend in San Jose. I wasn't expecting much since it looked like most of the seating was outdoors with tents, but the interior was decorated SO cute and was Christmas themed! It was also pretty warm; there were heaters/fireplaces all around. Here's what I got & here's what I thought: Fettuccine Boscaiola (5/5): I'd say I'm definitely a fan of pasta with peas, but this plate exceeded my expectations. The sauce was creamy, meaty, and the portion was very filling. Noah Noah (5/5): Sweet yet still on the stronger side! Limoncello Drop (5/5): (My friend's, but I tried it.) REALLY GOOD and pretty strong!! I for sure would order this if I stop by again. Sicilian Mule (5/5): Totally forgot what this once tasted like, but I remember really liking it still. My friends liked their food as well-- what they got is shown in the pictures. Overall, a solid 5!!! If you are an Italian fan or just happen to be in the area, I would give this place a try.

Yelp
Adorable. My boyfriend and I were visiting from out of town and read up on many restaurants and Palermo came with suggestion. Staff: Everyone here is friendly and genuinely warm, also all Italian. Our server was quick and checked in routinely but wasn't hovering. The timing was nice and the hostess was very sweet on the phone when I called asking if reservations were required - we were sat immediately upon arriving at 7 pm on a Saturday Night. Food: We ordered Sage and Brown Butter Gnocchi and Italian Sausage Penne. The sauces were essentially the same base but entirely different flavor pallets which I appreciate. The homemade Italian Sausage was very much fennel but a nice flavor with the pasta sauce. The Gnocchi was very soft and chewy, in a comforting way. For desert, we shared Limoncello with Lattes - divine. Area: While inside, you would never know you are in a random business park in between a railroad track and a massive cell tower. There is minor parking across the street and on the street however they have parking attendants and people who hold a stop sign while you walk across the street (for free) which I never knew I'd appreciate so much. Interior: As mentioned, the exterior makes you think this restaurant would be questionable but when you enter, you would never know what's outside. It's technically all outside like a patio but it's all surrounding by foliage walls and red drapery they can roll up and down. It feels like a nicer patio set up and was a casual restaurant but a nice vibe for a dinner date night vibe. I'd visit here again to try other homemade pasta dishes and the kind waitstaff.

Yelp
All the workers here were very delightful. I enjoyed my food but my boyfriend noticed that his chicken parm wasn't seasoned at all. The pizza was also cold but that's fine. Other than that, the ambiance and service was 5/5.

Yelp
Ordered two dishes from the day's specials menu. Sea Bass was a bit fishy, but the fish and shrimps were perfectly cooked. The dish was a tad on the salty side, but overall good. The pasta was simple and tasty. The restaurant was larger than expected with tons of tables and a couple of event spaces. We were seated outside next to the creek, so there were large bees and some flies buzzing around during the meal. The service was attentive.
