Palisade has a lot of positives going for it. The view from nearly every seat is very nice. The restaurant interior is spacious and pretty. There’s a pond you walk over from the front to the tables- stocked with fish; cool feature. There’s a free, large parking lot right in front of the restaurant. Service was excellent- we felt Tatiana was very attentive, and graciously snapped some photos for us. As for the food, not every thing we ordered was great, but overall, the meal was very good. There was a $60 three course dinner option, and the portion sizes for the salad option, the prime rib & the salmon entrees, and the desserts were generous. The poke appetizer, which was an extra order for us, was well plated, but ultimately too salty- too much soy sauce at the bottom of the bowl. There was a live music performer singing throughout our evening- lovely voice, and added to the lovely environment. Palisade is a beautiful option for a special occasion, and we will eventually return. A Seattle institution!

We celebrated Valentine’s Day at Palisade Restaurant in Elliott Bay Marina, and it was an unforgettable experience from start to finish. We started the evening with drinks at the bar, which was warm, cozy, and offered a spectacular view of the marina and skyline—a perfect romantic touch. Once we were seated for dinner, the service was equally impressive. Our server was polite, friendly, and genuinely kind, making us feel welcome and well taken care of. I ordered the lobster with a side of mac and cheese and mushrooms, and every bite was ridiculously delicious. Rich flavors and perfectly cooked. We ended the night with a dessert that featured edible flowers—both stunning and surprisingly tasty. It was the kind of detail that makes the evening feel extra special. I would absolutely come back, whether for a special occasion or just to treat myself to great food with a view.

Review - The Palisade 07 June 2025 We're always on the hunt for fantastic restaurants, and The Palisades, a recent recommendation from friends, absolutely hit the mark! Located just north of Seattle, this restaurant offers spectacular 180-degree water views across the bay, overlooking the cruise ship port and neighboring the Seattle Yacht Club. The grand entrance and expansive, high-ceiling interior perfectly complement the stunning waterfront setting. While the impressive wine list and well-curated menu (beautifully presented, might I add!) certainly contribute to the appeal, it's the exceptional service that makes The Palisades truly shine. Our server, Justin, was phenomenal – friendly, enthusiastic, and attentive. He truly understands that a wonderful dining experience isn't just about the food; it's about the people who serve it. We highly recommend asking for him! This was a solid 5-star visit, and we can't wait to return. Do yourself a favor and try The Palisades!

Google
Beautiful Restaurant with a great view, Service was Top Tier all around. Tatiana was very kind and gave us exceptional service and hospitality. Made our evening even more memorable Thank You 🙏🏽 Marcus was on point and showed why he’s a Boss 💯 Definitely plan on going back soon, to eat some Fresh amazing food. They both noticed we didn’t finish only 2 out of like 10 things we ordered lol 😂 and asked us why. One was a lil too salty and the other just wasn’t what we expected. They were very professional about it and took it off our bill, that’s how you take care of your customers the right way. Truly Blessed 😇 to have great people like them there, giving the people a chance to be taken care of on all levels 😎🙏🏽💯Crab 🦀 Cake, Bone 🦴 Marrow, Oysters 🦪 and Crème Brûlée 🍮 are a definite must have. Can’t wait til the next time we go back there to try the Seafood 🦞 Tower for 6 because the one for 2 for $100 was kind of sad 😔 unfortunately. Overall 8/10 Service 10/10

I wanted to try this place one more time due to ambiance and food but was sadly disappointed. The waiter changed my wine selection, asked me if I liked my wine as he had changed it up. What? Who does that! Food was okay but pricey. 3 tables around us sent back cold steak. Best part was a comped birthday dessert of red velvet cake.

Google
This is an excellent lunch and dinner spot not far from downtown Seattle. Beautiful scenery of the boats in the marina and the skyline of Seattle. The clam steamers were delicious. Chunks of bacon and caramelized onion. The iceberg lettuce was very good. It was crisp and the Gorgonzola dressing was delicious. All of the toppings including the bacon were great. The cocktail sauce in the shrimp was not the best. I would have preferred a basic horseradish cocktail sauce. The staff was very polite and very personable. The atmosphere was nice.

I love this restaurant!!! The food, the service, the view! WOW. This has to be one of the most premier restaurants in Seattle. If you're looking for a great date night location, this is your place.

Yelp
My last review of a $$$ restaurant/steak house showed how, despite the premium prices, the fancy decorations and ambiance, the hoity toity staff and a three figure bill could fail miserably and make my NO REPEAT BUISNESS LIST, not to mention the word of mouth to friends, family and co-workers. Now on the flip-side you have a place like Palisade. Now in my 30 some years living here in the PNW I've eaten here a handful of times, and in those handful of times I can tell you that each visit was a 5 star experience for me and my guests. With regards to dinner service, It is more of a special occasion kinda place for me because, well, I can't afford to eat here on the regular. But I know when I do, it is well worth the commute and cost. First off location, for one, you get a wonderful view of Elliot Bay. With the marina and yacht club right there, not to mention the city. At night with the lights, it really adds to the atmosphere. Certainly beats dentist offices and apartment buildings 'fer sure. Adding to the atmosphere, while it was busy, patrons were not crowded, so there was no squeezing between tables, butt or crotch to the back of the head kinda place, while being seated next to another table we weren't on top of each other, hearing EVERY DETAIL TO THEIR CONVERSATIONS. Noise level was just right, the murmur of people talking talking, but not sounding like you are trying to eat and have a conversation at a Seahawks game. That last place we were at was horrible in that respect. At the Palisade, our server could speak at a normal tone and volume without having to repeat or raise her voice. So the Palisade on our last visit, pros and cons: Front door staff-Greeted with a smile and a polite professionalism. She may've loved or hated her job but we would've never known it. She was doing her job and that was to check us in and make us feel welcome and not like we're keeping her from something. Pro! Support staff-One thing I noticed, the entire staff was cognizant and polite to all patrons. For me, on my way to the head, they always gave me the right of way though I tried to stay out of theirs, all smiles, all polite. Pro! Our server-She was great though out the service, very attentive, always checking in making sure everything was good, glasses filled, bread basket full. She seemed to to be covering several tables, but she was there to make sure we were satisfied and happy. And I had no doubt had there any issue with drinks or meal, either she or management would've made it right. Fortunately there were no issues. Pro! My martini-I love a good martini, the Palisades make a good dirty martini! Even with the house Vodka. I could've drank those all night. So definitely a Pro! Food-The apps were definitely tasty! We had the Belly + The Beast as well as the Crispy Escargot. So Pro there. The only "Con", and I really shouldn't put this as a con, only because I know it's all about quality vs. quantity, I just wish there could've been more for the price, ya know? Definitely $$$ portions, but they were good regardless. Octopus was firm but not rubbery with excellent flavor, pork belly, perfect amount of glaze and the crispy escargot stuffed mushroom cap was just good. Again, wish I had more because they were so good! Timing between apps and the main was spot on. Any waiting always came with an update and apologies from our server. The mains ordered included a ribeye steak, a bone-in NY strip, Chilean seabass, Beecher's mac-n-cheese, as well as lobster risotto, potato mash and asparagus. All I can say is everything was excellent. The steaks cooked perfect medium rare, I even had the bone-marrow luge added to my NY strip. I tried my son's ribeye and you can definitely tell the difference between the cuts. Wife loved the Chilean seabass and all the sides, YUM! Needless to say, we didn't finish and had to take some of it home, actually quiet a bit, but there was room for dessert. Dessert included a chocolate cake and cheesecake. And you know what goes well with a sweet dessert? After dinner coffee. Again, nothing really to say except it was really good, and the fact that we got coffee. Last place neglected to give us coffee with our dessert though we did order it. So bottom line, Palisade is text book with regards to being a premium, fine dining establishment. It's not just the premium prices on the menu, the quality food and beverages, but you also get the premium service that goes with those prices. I honestly can't wait to go back. Might try their lunch or brunch menu sometime, Mother's day is coming up...

Yelp
More like ~3.5 stars Came here for a company event and was pleasantly surprised. The restaurant is by the water so super pretty view. There is a huge parking lot out front so no issues finding parking in Seattle, which is not common. The lobster bisque was a little too watery, but the salad was refreshing. The lobster was amazing, but the steak was just okay. Finished the lobster, but not the meat. Service was a bit slow since our party was huge. Overall a decent experience. It is pricey, but is a nice place for a special occasion.

Yelp
I came here on a Saturday night with my family. The place was dimly lit and crowded -- I thought the decorations and vibes felt nice. Despite being crowded, our server was very attentive. We came for the SRW and each got a 3 course meal consisting of caesar salad, clam chowder, prime rib, shellfish linguine, salmon, creme brulee, and chocolate cake. We also ordered an extra appetizer of clams! The good: All the seafood and desserts! I think Palisade specializes in seafood. The clams, salmon, and shellfish linguine were spectacular--each were cooked to our liking. The creme brulee and chocolate cake tasted amazing as well. It was the perfect way to end our meal The bad: The prime rib was not what we expected. It was dry and bland. Additionally, the clam chowder was too creamy and the caesar salad did not taste like your average caesar salad. Overall I'd give this a 3.5/5 for the ambiance and seafood, but I was disappointed with the prime rib. I'd like to try coming back during the daytime to experience the view, though!

Yelp
Palisade is a nice big fancy restaurant. food was solid, environment was good. I think they should play regular classical music instead of hiring someone to sing pop renditions, I thought that really killed the ambiance and vibe they're going for. it felt like we were at a karaoke bar instead. otherwise great service and good food and view right on the water. I'd say it's great for a one time / special occasion thing. also they were kind and provided a few birthday dessert. :)

Yelp
I can't eat shrimp and I told the waitress that when I sat down but I didn't use the phrase I am allergic which either way it should be self explanatory that I cannot eat it. I said " I can't eat shrimp" Anyways I ordered a fish that I guess was on top of a shrimp cake. They made me a new one but still charged us even though I had to Wait 30 min for new dish. My dad paid for me but they charged him full price for everything we ordered. I thought that was pretty low class of manager not to even comp our drinks lol. They are lucky I didn't have to go to hospital that I realized there was shrimp.

Yelp
Had our 30th anniversary dinner here, our server was nice and attentive and chatted with us about our special day. Our seats overlooked the view of the Seattle waterfront it was beautiful, the food was good and the overall experience was wonderful.

Yelp
The Food and Cocktail presentations are artful, the Views are out of a magazine and the entire dining experience is exceptional! We enjoyed: the Cloche of Essence Cocktail the Smoke & Bourbon Cocktail Crispy Escargot New England Clam Chowder Lobster Bisque The Shellfish Linguine (includes Lobster , Shrimp , Mussels, Clams, and Scallops!) And last but definitely not least, the Alaskan King Crab with roasted potatoes I'm not sure how I walked out the restaurant! I was sooo full but it was well worth it! Service was exceptional, views were amazing and food was delicious!

Yelp
The food was good. We had to wait for 1.5 hrs for our food. We had a reservation and our food took a long time to come. They had forgotten our food but they made it afterwards and let us have it on the house. The service was nice and the scenery is beautiful.

Yelp
A wonderful waterside restaurant perfect to celebrate a special occasion! I feel like Palisade has been around Seattle forever, but is severely underrated. The service was very attentive and friendly. We were celebrating our anniversary and got a cute card and also dessert at the end (flourless chocolate cake). The sake marinated black cod was delicious! Perfectly cooked so that the fish was incredibly tender, with a miso saltiness, zucchini strips, and a soft shrimp cake on the bottom. I would definitely order this again! My partner got the ahi tuna rice bowl and he was a bit less impressed. The ahi was room temp and there was a large amount of lemon peel garnish that was a bit confusing. We ordered the cheesecake for dessert, which was massive and came with some butterscotch. Not too sweet and very fluffy! We were so full by this time that we took the rest home for later. Since the restaurant is by the dock, I'd recommend walking along the water before or after your meal to enjoy the Seattle views. I'd definitely come here again to celebrate a special occasion or to treat my friends who are visiting to great food with beautiful views!

Yelp
Palisade was a wonderful time. We loved the views of the city and Mount rainier showed up majestically - our server Mark was nice - food runners were nice too - food was delicious - ordered crab dip for our appetizer - apple pear walnuts salad - prime rib and the crab and prawns pasta - finished with the cream brûlée - bonus - my drink was beautiful and pink

Yelp
We went for a valentine's dinner. We were a bit disappointed how the night turned out. It awhile for our main dishes to come out. It was understandable since it was valentines weekend. Kung pao calamari was burnt. I ordered medium well steak and lobster tail. The steak came out burnt and very well done, tough to chew. The manager came out, offered to make me a new steak and dessert on the house. It was awkward with only one dish on the table. The manager came out again offered to keep my spouse's dish warm while waiting for my food. I didn't except him to do all that but It was really nice of him. The new plate came out with extra shrimps. (Very appreciated). The lobster tail had fishy smell and didn't taste fresh. I felt bad and didn't want to be a difficult person so I didn't bring it up to the staff. (Should have kept my first lobster tail). The whole waiting thing kind ruined our romantic dinner. Overall the staffs were very friendly.

Yelp
This was such a a lovely experience! My partner and I went for our anniversary. The service was fantastic, thank you Sevgi!! The food was to die for!! The shellfish linguine was the best pasta dish I think I've ever had! We will be back in the summer!

Yelp
As far as I am concerned this is the premier restaurant in the Seattle area. First of all the ambience is elite, beautiful dining area, bar and pretty much the best view, of the marina, space needle and Seattle skyline. The food the three times I've been has been perfect in every way. The seafood tower, the crab cakes, everything is done above and beyond 99.9% of restaurants.

Peter S.

Yelp
Sevgi was our server. Gracious, knowledgeable, and friendly. It was my girlfriend's 43rd birthday and she made the meal and experience exceptional. Our table was along the windows overlooking the marina and Elliot bay. Just beautiful as the sun set. very pleased over all.

Yelp
Stunning Seattle views, elegant atmosphere (but not pretentious and outstanding service. Seafood dishes were delicious. Recommend.

Yelp
Bring back the Seattle's best brunch buffet please. Fill the restaurant with patrons like before. Click the useful button if you agree.

Yelp
My wife and I have been enjoying Palisade restaurant for over 12 years and it has never ceased to exceed our expectation. We love it here. We live 3 hours away but it is worth the drive, We love the view, the ambiance, the meals and the exceptional wait staff. Aidan was terrific tonight !
google avatar

Sinclaire H.

Yelp
This is a if I could leave 0 stars I would kinda place The lost potential spans from a-z regarding food, atmosphere, service, and overall experience. We ordered Calamari...more like overcooked fish n chips...why are sweet potato and barbecue sauce on this plate? Brussels sprouts were oily and soggy. Waste of calories. Tuna stack--were in Seattle babes. The fish cannot be Arizona quality. "Truffle" French fries were a joke. Service was slow and inattentive. I guess drinks were a good price for happy meal
google avatar

Yelp
Quintessential Seattle restaurant offering full menu of entrees and starters featuring seafood, steak and game dishes. There is a kids' menu, which is great for the 12 and under set. The location is superb with views of downtown Seattle, Bainbridge Island and Elliot Bay. Go around sunset for a lovely backdrop to your dinning experience. The staff is incredibly welcoming and accommodating. It's great for groups, families or a dinner date. If you go between 3-6pm you can sit at the bar for happy hour and pay half-price for a selection of drinks and food items. Highly recommend.

Yelp
Fantastic experience in the lounge. Great bar menu and Aidan in the bar was charming and helpful.

Yelp
So amazing! The service was phenomenal! We visited on 2/8/25 and I completely forgot our waitresses name but it started with a C and she was blonde and she was the sweetest! She made sure all of our questions were answered and always made sure there was room on the table for the food that was on the way. The food was amazing and everyone was so attentive. Our dinner was timed perfectly with the appetizers arriving and we had a bit of time after we finished them before our dinner arrived so we had time to get hungry again. We can't wait to come back! 100% worth the price tag!

Yelp
Great service, Aidan was super helpful and knowledgeable. Very professional but funny! We had a great time.

Yelp
We enjoy eating here every time we are in Seattle. It's a large good looking place with a view of a marina and Elliot Bay and Mt Rainier beyond. Our food was very good although it's expensive. Our server, Thomas, was very friendly and competent. There is ample parking in front.

Yelp
We were in the neighborhood a few weeks ago on a Saturday afternoon around 4-5. They didn't have happy hour, but we sat at the bar and got drinks and appetizers. I got the Herb n' Soda cocktail, which had watermelon & basil Grey Goose, fresh strawberry, mint, and more basil. It was absolutely delightful. My bf had a beer, I think whichever Kona they have on tap. We split shrimp cocktail and a bowl of crab & lobster bisque. The shrimp cocktail is presented on top of dry ice or something - like it looks like it's smoking when it's placed in front of you, which is a fun extra touch. The bisque was amazing, and I seriously think we might come back just for more soup. Be sure to get at least a cup just to try it because it's so good. We got great service from our bartender and food runners, and while the atmosphere was upscale, we did not feel out of place in street clothes, particularly at the bar. I'd definitely return for a real dinner or brunch at some point. Everything was lovely, including the view of Elliott Bay.

Yelp
Came here for happy hour. Great deal on drinks and apps. We weren't hungry but had the old fashioned and a prickly pear margarita. They were delicious!
google avatar

Esther M.

Yelp
My first time at Palisade and it did not disappoint! The price range is fairly on the higher side but the quality of the food matched the price. Would recommend their fried calamari; it's got asian spice note to it and the calamari was super juicy and tender. I got the lamp chop - medium cooked and it was perfect. Juicy and mild gamey note (very pleasant and not overly gamey) which paired so well with Merlot wine. The view outside was very nice as well. You can see the boats/yachts right outside and you can even see the mountains. Giving that this is a higher end place, I think it would've made the restaurant more elevated if the choice of music was more smooth jazz rather than top 25 hit songs. But that's just my opinion! Service was also good as the waiter was attentive and checked frequently to filled up our waters and clean the table in a timely manner.
google avatar

Ann L.

Yelp
3.5 Came to check out their 3 course for $55 menu. Very good portion for sharing and same great view. Our server was really nice but a little slow... our entire meal took almost 3hrs. Food was ok nothing stood out but drinks were good. Coming from the east side to this part of town is a trek esp with traffic so not sure if we would come back.

Yelp
The ambience was delightful on Wednesday night. There was a young girl playing and singing live music and she was amazing. I might come back on a Wednesday just to see her. The service was amazing and we had a seat right next to the window, so had a beautiful view of the city lights and the marina. I got the lobster bisque and a wedge salad. The wedge salad was beautiful and all the flavors were delicious. I also really enjoyed the lobster bisque although it could've been a little hotter. I felt like I needed to eat it quickly so it wouldn't be cold by the time I got to it. I also love that bread that they serve fresh and warm, which I feel like sometimes it's hard to come by at restaurants so I really appreciate it. I decided to add a crabcake, which was disappointing. It was very small, had no sauce, and was pasty on the inside. On top of that, it cost $25 and I did not feel like it was worth it. my friend ordered a petite filet mignon and she said that it was a very nice cut of meat and delicious. We skipped out on dessert but decided that next time we might share a meal so that we could try the carrot cake. All in all, it was a good experience and fairly reasonable for what we ordered at a pretty fancy restaurant... No drinks but $50 a person
google avatar

Yelp
Just wow!!! I love the food, service, ambiance!!! Everything and I will definitely go back here!!! Highly recommended We also ordered Kung Pao Calamari must try too!!! I also loved complimentary bread!

Yelp
Celebrated my birthday here The crab cakes were delicious but is it normal for them to still have the shells? Service and ambiance were great. The only thing that seemed odd is I received a call about an hour before my reservation asking if I needed booster seats or high chairs and I asked for 2 high chairs only but when we arrived there was a booster seat. Tried it out but my baby kept slipping out since the straps to secure her were missing. Anyways, my brother had to go request a high chair and it worked out in the end

Ashna N.

Yelp
Had an amazing time here for Valentine's Day. Aidan W was such an outstanding server! Super friendly and had great recommendations for what to order. Also, the view from our table was so beautiful! If you're wondering what to get for an entree and are a seafood lover like me, I would recommend their scallops and shrimp. Overall great experience!

Yelp
Marcus is amazing! we will definitely be back and ask to sit in his section. the food and ambiance is amazing as well, but Marcus was the real star.

Yelp
I have been to Palisade many times in my life and all I can say is "what happened?" This was a restaurant my wife and I liked to stop at one to two times a year. Once always during SRW, and another outside of that. I will say the ambiance is what makes the place great every time, but there was no supporting cast. The waterfront view was all there was to offer here this time. Our server was non existent, food runners would do simply that only drop food and go. Not asking if anything was needed. When there was no pepper on the table, someone got up to get it and immediately a dining room assistant asked if he could crack the pepper for the table. Again our server was no where. The wine was good and as well as the Spicy Prickly Pear margarita. No second drink offering, nothing. The food was lack luster the whole way through, with the exception of the Poke and Lobster Bisque. The Kung Pao Calamari tasted like something you'd buy at Trader Joe's and soak in orange sauce. It only went down from there. The Seafood Bucatini was bland and confusing. The noodles and the pasta sauce were piping hot and the shrimp were laying atop mildly cold. I'm not a prime rib person, but the two people that ordered it said it was ok. Wasn't seasoned or cooked enough. The chocolate molten cake deflated like a flat tire. The crème brûlée was regular. At this point the We interacted with the server when she took our order and when it was time to pay. Palisade was always a dinner to look forward to, but unfortunately after this the tradition will come to an end.

Yelp
A Seattle gem. Excellent service from the moment you step out of your car and it only gets better as you go into the restaurant. This restaurant feels like a destination... a pond runs through the restaurant, the architecture is something special, the view of the marina and city is unmatched and the food is good. Our waiter was excellent... he gave us his input without being too involved. A wonderful place for a celebration or a good spot to bring out of town guests.

Yelp
Sitting by the windows is so cold. The wind comes right through the glass. It is not worth the price. And their % living wage surcharge is kind of weird. Maybe it's my fault for not ordering seafood. I didn't order seafood because I'm allergic. The steak was overdone it almost seemed comical. The salads were terrible. At the end of the meal I didn't want dessert but they brought me it anyways. After very slow service. We arrived at 6:15 and left at 7:50 pm. When we said no dessert and that should have been respected. I tried to be gracious about the slow service and terrible food but bringing someone dessert when they specifically said they didn't want it is not polite.
google avatar

Samantha O.

Yelp
TLDR: I'm here for the view, food priced for the view. Cocktails were not good. Environment: Ask to be by the windows or somewhere with a good view, because thats what youre paying for. Its so beautiful. The restaurant is up to par with what you would expect for a "bougie" restaurant. Beautiful murals, a legit mini river and bridge by the entrance, and HUGE windows. Service: The service was pretty good, they let my table sit even though i was running late. My table had ordered for me. Though I did feel a bit pressured to order more by the server - but I wasnt particularly hungry that time. Food: The food was good. No one had any complaints. Our table really liked the crab dip. Most of us ordered pasta, and everyone said it was good, the pasta portion is ginormous... you could probably share this with someone depending on your appetite :) I wouldn't order the cocktails again though, all of it was kinda disappointing - maybe 2/5 stars for the drinks lol. Just order wine or something else.

Yelp
Came here for the first time and it was highly recommended. They have a nice water area however they have trout and so it's hard to see the fish in the water as they blend in with the rocks. There is plenty of parking and there is a wonderful view. This is a beautiful restaurant which has great potential, but they seem to be a little bit disorganized. Had the opportunity to make a reservation in advance on OpenTable and requested seating near the window however, when I arrived despite the reservation. We ended up waiting 20 minutes and we were not quite placed near the window so we didn't have the same view. The staff were very friendly; however they seem to be understaffed so we set a table another 30 minutes before being served. It took some time for our drinks to come. The desserts were great however we decided to skip dinner because the service seemed so slow. I hope that your experience is better than mine.

Yelp
Date night and the food was fantastic! The ambiance, food, and beverages were exactly what we were looking for and there are so many options from dietary restrictions/food allergies to in between! We've eaten here several times and have not been disappointed!

Yelp
Meh. I've been coming here since they opened 30 years ago and it's less good each time the last ~10 years. For the money there are better places; the view is amazing, but tonight my wife and I sat down and waited ~20 minutes for any service. Ordered drinks and waited another 40 minutes until they came ("the bar is really backed up"); it took ~25 min of those to have our waiter come back and ask how we were doing and take app orders. When the drinks finally came, they were just ahead of the two appetizers, and the server with the apps just set them down right where my drink would have been set; I had to move it out of the way because neither of them seemed to see it was a problem even though there was lots of room at the table. The beef tartare has good flavor, but it's made from a cheap cut of meat with gristle. They should serve it with dental floss. Advice: Never order it... Then we waited another 45 minutes for entrees. The server who placed them just put them down in front of us and didn't bother to notice or ask about the lack of knives. By the time we flagged someone down to request knives, the entrees were cold. The level of service to notice that knives are missing upon service of a plate should be pretty easy to train, but it's missing here at Palisade. When those were done and cleared we were offered dessert menus and I was inclined to try the "new" butterscotch bread pudding, but by the time our waiter came back to ask 30 minutes later we were so far beyond done that we just asked for the check. We have an e-gift card and wanted to use it; that took another 20 minutes to have the waiter come back with the check to sign it. We won't be back for any kind of sit down meal; we'll burn the rest of the gift card for cocktails at the bar someday. Literally 3 hours after arrival we walked out shaking our heads at the disappointment. Just like Salty's on Alki has gone downhill since opening, Palisade is special only for the view of downtown Seattle across the water. There are better places for a special dinner though...the service and attention to detail are no better than Ivar's.

Yelp
might be the best restaurant view in all of seattle. right on the water, pretty extensive menu. we got the octopus appetizer, oysters, and a bunch of seafood, food was pretty good but one of us got an undercooked steak. waitstaff was decent but not perfect. we were seated and left abandoned without menus until i waved someone down and got us some. it was a long time until someone checked on us to take our orders after we reviewed menus.

Yelp
Disappointing! We went there for Brunch and a special celebration and from the start it was a disappointing experience. The doors were locked, they opened late, the hostess did not greet us, everyone was just standing in the lobby. Finally, about 15 minutes after our reservation someone seated us. Sadly, the standard has slipped on this former excellent restaurant with an unbeatable view. The tablecloths were wrinkled, silverware spotted, glasses had lipstick on the rims, all in all Management seems to not care. The food was good and but is became evident that their popularity has slipped since the restaurant was mostly empty during a usually busy holiday season.

Yelp
Oh, dear, what has happened to our once venerated Seattle restaurant, Palisade? I feel a mix of sadness, anger, and possible contraction of food poisoning after the abysmal Christmas Eve we spent there. This is what a $75.00 prix-fix evening consisted of: waiting for 35 minutes for an 8:45 seating, no one offering to have us sit in the bar to wait, once we finally were seated, waiting for drinks for at least 20 minutes, the waitstaff giving high-fives and calling it an evening when we hadn't even been served dinner (we were sitting next to the kitchen entrance), cloyingly sweet salmon, fishy oil-soaked black cod, and all delivered lukewarm. I did have a good salad, and the dessert was good, although we had to doggie-bag it because the restaurant was essentially closing down. You've been forewarned - there are many Seattle view restaurants that still live up to their name, but Palisade is no longer one of them.

Yelp
We came here to celebrate my grandmother's 80th birthday. We were warmly welcomed by the host and were seated as soon as our entire party arrived. Our server was kind and provided many great recommendations and service. We ordered two starters: the poke and the coconut shrimp. We didn't know that the poke was spicy so our grandmother couldn't eat it, but the rest of us enjoyed it. The shrimp was fantastic. I ordered the seasonal menu's mahi mahi. The dish itself was huge. The fish was a bit dry for my taste but I have not had mahi mahi before so am not sure if that's normal. The vegetables were tender and grilled perfectly. We got a complimentary crème brûlée with a candle and ordered the chocolate lava cake and the key lime pie. All desserts were perfect for what each person wanted after such a filling meal. The view was stunning with a perfect sunset and sprawling city skyline lights. Great place for a special occasion.

Yelp
Food amazing - had the jumbo lobster tail! Oh. My. God. Lobster Bisque - wow! Apple, Gorgonzola + Candied Walnut Salad - Amazing. So amazing that this could have been my entree for the night! Ambience and view - beautiful! Service is top notch! Great help with the menu and suggestions! Cocktails were great too! We would've gone here twice during our trip if we had another chance. Palisade is a must visit!

Yelp
Been here many times in the past for birthdays, anniversaries, etc and it was always a blast with great service and better than average, consistent food. This Father's Day (2024) was shockingly disappointing and a bit embarrassing. I hyped up this "old skool classic" restaurant and took my partner and teen here since neither have been here before. The service was molasses-slow, and it took 40 minutes between salad and entree and no one came to ask if we'd like another drink or more bread. We had to flag our server to get drinks refilled and my 3rd glass of wine. Shrimp cocktail wasn't what I remembered it to be... almost tasted cajun and not clean grilled. Best part of the meal was the salad. My asparagus was ridiculously huge and tough. Salmon oscar was good. Giant portion though so I took half home. Unfortunately the pacing was so slow we were there almost 3 hours and we missed our next event entry scheduled for the evening. When our entrees were served, we even asked to take our dessert home because we were running so late. The view was lovely as usual and it's nice to see the same ol' koi pond inside, but other than that, I don't think we'll be coming back in the future. So bummed
