We love Palm Pavilion, as you can see from my prior reviews. My wife prefers them over other spots on the beach, so when we wanted to grab a bit and see the sunset this past weekend, it was a no-brainer. Even though it was a Saturday and crowded, a table for 2 on the patio an hour before sunset was only a 15 minute wait!
We were seated a little more than half-way down the patio and at a table on the wall. When we asked a passing team member if we could be moved to one of the open tables along the railing, at first there was push-back ("We have a long wait list at the moment."), which seemed weird since we had just been seated. But within a couple minutes the manager came over (we didn't complain or even ask for them, it was just nice to see they took the initiative) and moved us to one of those open tables. Thank you!!!
Marissa was our server and did an AMAZING job keeping our drinks refreshed and checking on us. My wife got the burger which looked amazing and she loved, and I branched out and got a Cuban. The flavor was good, but the sandwich itself was a bit underwhelming... maybe an 8" portion, and there were only two thin slices each of the ham, salami, and pork shoulder, leaving the sandwich mostly bread. I wouldn't order this sandwich again, especially at that price point knowing the burgers are so much bigger.
Our only other complaint was the music being very loud, even though we were a good enough distance away -- is that something musicians or management controls? The band (Sticks & Stones) was great, right music for the beach vibe, just too loud to be able to have a nice talk in that setting.
The waitress did say the menu is being worked on currently, but I'd love to see the fried clam strips make a return!
