I actually stumbled upon this stand a few weeks before they opened. While shopping on an August Tuesday morning, I saw a camera man taking photos of food and some lights were on here. When I walked by later, I asked the friendly lady when she was opening, she told my September 4th.
Fast forward two week later on another Tuesday morning and I noticed this stand open. I asked the young lady about the protein options for the hot dog before ordering a beef hot dog. After wrapping it, she pointed out the table with a variety of packets and walked me to the refrigerator where there were small plastic containers for toppings. Here is my hot dog with an assortment of toppings and condiments (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q&select=ZQqJUR_jmb8D5QuWi1ZSqQ); this included red onions, sauerkraut, jalapeno bits, cheese, relish, yellow mustard, and ketchup. Not wanting to go crazy, I randomly picked four packets of hot sauces (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q&select=Gflbi3t3F-2BELkqWYmTmw). After fully loading my hot dog with the exception of the hot sauces (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q&select=TbWFfsWtEUjpya6XP4L5Vg), I decided to try each of the hot sauces in alternating bites. This became a five-bite experiment as I dropped 5-6 drops at a time before taking a bite with each sauce. With the yellow being my favorite, I finished the dog with that sauce.
First of all, the natural comparison is to that wholesale warehouse store food court version at $1.50 which includes a fountain soda. Trust me when I say, it's not the same. Is this five times better than that? That's for you to judge. Let's just say that, doing what I did to my dog, at a little over $8.00, I enjoyed this experience in tasting the various hot sauces that they offered on a hot dog with good quality protein. Thank you to Nayna for giving me through the options.
*** I stopped by the following Saturday and spoke with Nayna. She told me that the owner was making some QC adjustments to the menu, sacrificing sales that day to meet the owner's expectations.
