The 13 Best Lebanese Restaurants In London - London - The Infatuation

"Hidden in plain sight around the back of Finsbury Park station, Palmyra’s Kitchen serves dishes from Lebanon and Syria. A lunchtime visit for a lamb shawarma wrap is very much recommended—the meat is rich with juices and fat, and combined with a zinging parsley-heavy salad, it’s one of N4’s finest handheld meals. Although sitting down is equally good. The back of the restaurant is a homely space and a mixed grill with some wonderfully aggressively garlicky labneh is always a very good idea." - rianne shlebak, sinead cranna, jake missing

The 20 Best Solo Dining Spots In London - London - The Infatuation

"Follow the smell of slow-cooked, deeply flavoured lamb shawarma in N4 and you’ll find Palmyra’s Kitchen, sandwiched in between the glassy development behind Finsbury Park. A Middle Eastern restaurant that serves dishes from Syria and Lebanon, this homely spot suits solo diners whose sole desire is to inhale a superb shawarma. Everything is flavour-first: the labneh has a strong fizz of garlic, and the soujuk oozes cumin and pepper." - heidi lauth beasley, jake missing, sinead cranna, rianne shlebak

Palmyra's Kitchen - Review - Finsbury Park - London - The Infatuation

"Follow the smell of slowly cooking, deeply flavoured lamb shawarma in N4 and you’ll find Palmyra’s Kitchen, sandwiched in between the glassy development behind Finsbury Park. A Middle Eastern restaurant that serves dishes from Syria and Lebanon, this homely spot suits a Friday night meal or a low-key date night as much as it does inhaling a superb shawarma on a Tuesday lunchtime. Everything made here is flavour-first—the labneh has an officious fizz of garlic, the tabbouleh is fittingly 90% parsley, and the soujuk oozes cumin and pepper. As is often the case with an irresistible Middle Eastern spread, you’ll be tempted to order and order and order—but it’s worth knowing that Palmyra’s Kitchen’s charcoal grill will have you eating like a king or a queen for £20. photo credit: Aleksandra Boruch photo credit: Aleksandra Boruch photo credit: Aleksandra Boruch photo credit: Aleksandra Boruch Pause Unmute" - Jake Missing

The Best Shawarma in London | Eater London

"If looking for Lebanese food in Northeast London, this is the spot, and the shawarma is good, evidenced by the well-layered spits of chicken and lamb, topped with a surface of fat, and crowned with lemons. Diners can order a mixed plate with some very tasty vermicelli rice for £14, but the wrap — at £6.75 for mixed, £6.49 for lamb, or £6.20 for chicken — is better value-for-money, and offers a fuller shawarma experience. Both the lamb and chicken are crisp on the outside and moist enough on the inside, speckled with some of their spices: ginger and cumin for the chicken; cinnamon and cumin for the lamb. The toum is rich and appropriately garlicky, and the chilli sauce mild but flavoursome. The winning accompaniment here is the dill-pickled cucumber, which has a curious, intricate flavour. If opting to dine in for a full meal, add on the pomegranate-laced chicken livers, which are not to be missed." - Joel Hart

Simply amazing! Ordered the mixed grilled and the lamb Kafka was simply amazing - the charcoal grilled aroma mixed with the herb & spicier, simply heavenly. The Shakriyeh, yoghurt stew lamb, was deliciously awesome with meat falling off bone tender, flavourful. Highly recommended - their Palmyra Salad, savoury, tangy, crunchy, with subtle hints of sweetness - amazing sensory sensation! Delicious! Finally, service implacably memorable. Will be back soon!

Found this place on Google maps and thought we would try it out, ended up neing the best lebanese food I've had in London. Everything was so delicious from the cold starters to the grilled plates. Really good value and will definitely be visiting again!

Mostly DELICIOUS veg food, although I think the foul was a bit weak in flavour compared to others I have had (like Queen of Sheba near Edgware Road). Also the pita slices were fine but I have had tastier. My friend and I split the makdous aubergine, which I expected to be whipped like hummus or babaganoush, but it’s not. Fantastic flavours tho in terms of the walnuts and herbs. And not oily. The fattoush was also not as expected but it was a large portion size and also very tasty. I dinked stars on the service as our initial waiter had a sour, unsmiling disposition.

We decided to stop by for a quick bite late in the evening, so I can’t really comment on the atmosphere as it was understandably quiet at that time. As for the food, the portions offered good value, though the shawarma was a bit more heavily spiced than others I’ve tried, which made it slightly heavy to digest. That said, I’d definitely give it another try to explore other options on the menu.

We came across this place while we were looking for a place to celebrate, and I can confidently say, this is one of the absolute best places I've ever tried in my life. The meat is so delicious and tender. The seasoning used for the food is out of this world, I've never had such delicious meat in my life. We ordered the mixed grill, the vegetarian platter, cheese roll and some coffee and dessert at the end. The cheese pull in the cheese roll was out of this Earth. Everything tasted absolutely fabulous, I can't even describe it. The atmosphere of the place was amazing, very cozy and comfortable. They have the best music playing and such amazing vibes. There's also a huge amount of options of food to pick from. Also the service is top tier here, extremely kind people and will go above and beyond to make sure your happy with everything. Loved everything about this place and would 100% come back. This is my favourite restaurant now. Would add pictures but I can't seem to figure out how.

Food is very much on point, fairly priced, decent service. Only ever visited as a passant, I appreciate bookings are prioritised, but how long can a party of one take? A better spot would really enhance the quality of the experience. Dining room is a bit of a corridor, really hard to wind down while exposed to a constant traffic of patrons, staff and delivery riders.

I had the main course lamb shawarma. It was simply excellent, I don’t usually eat shawarma but this was great. Meat was well cooked and flavorful. The garlic sauce is fantastic and so was the salad. Owner is also super friendly and welcoming.
