Went for the first time, was in the Ft Worrhbatea and this one had the best ratings.
Plan was for a Chinese restaurant. This is more of an Asian establishment, as it serves Chinese, Thai, Vietnamese, and Sushi. Sort of a one stop shop.
I had the Szechuan Chicken with Lo Mein. Orders the large, was only $2 more than the small. It came out on two plates!!! One small plate with the noodles and the other had the entree. I couldn't finish it all. The Lo Mein was more than just the noodles, had sauce, carrots, boc choy, and I believe bean pods. It was green and long, some sort of beam inside. Not sure what it was.
The Szechuan Chicken was dripping in a dark brown sauce. Would have been better with rice to help soak it up and add flavor to the rice. The vegetables actually had flavor and weren't overly soft. The bell peppers had a good crunch. This dish is traditionally a bit spicy. I'll add that I could taste the spices from time to time, but it was not spicy at all.
Pork egg rolls, had to try those as well. They were good. Reminded me more of a fried spring roll based on the size and consistency of the outer shell. Would definitely order it again.
Wife had the chicken and veggies with rice. She said it was really good. Was a bit different from the China town fare we would get in Boston with the brown sauce, but she said it was definitely good and had good flavor. She usually puts a good bit of soy sauce on her Asian, she didn't do that with this one.
We had the crab rangoons as well. Very good, crispy, good flavor. A bit sweeter than most, which was a good surprise really. Added something extra.
Was a good experience with good food. Wasn't busy at all in the donning area, but there was a consistent flow of patrons getting take out.
Good stuff. Will go again.
