Panadería Coatzingo - Review - South Figueroa Corridor - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"Panadería Coatzingo is a Mexican bakery in South Figueroa Corridor that makes very attractive conchas. Their sweet rolls are huge and spongy, and the streusel topping covers the entire thing like a blanket. There’s also cuernitos that taste like butter and sesame boillos stuffed with cream cheese and jalapeños that we like to snack on during the drive home." - Sylvio Martins

Google
I LOVE Panaderia Coatzingo! Their bread is so fresh, and delicious!! The staff is very kind, and helped me pick out the best options. I come here for the authenticity and quality. Highly recommend!

Google
Bread is okay nothing special. I’ve definitely had better. Limited selection. Nothings really ready til later in the day. Out of 10 breads maybe 2 were good. $3+ a bread

Google
Have been going here for more than 10 years best bread hands down

My dad discovered this bakery years ago and loved it! The pan dulce is inspired from Puebla. Although lately it's been going a little downhill #1 does not feel like the same quality #2 no debit/ no ebt (cash only). Something to keep in mind is that the bread here is pricier than other panaderias $$

Google
Love the PAN FRANCES, FLANS.

Google
There's a variety of pan dulce that is fresh and delicious, they also have different flavors of gelatinas which are hard to find. Best birote I've had in a while. This bakery is a little humble place packed with delights and superb service.

Google
DO NOT BUY CAKE HERE. Not only have they little variety, but also the quality of the bread is terrible. Feels extremely dry and heavy; even when you buy a tres leches cake and soak it in milk, it's so hard to swallow. It's not inexpensive either.

Google
They have the best bread in LA! I'm from Barstow but whenever I go down to LA I love coming here to pick up some bread for back home. The bread is a bit pricey but def worth it

Yelp
The BEST spot for Mexican bread and treats of all kinds! My friend and I stopped here because we had a craving for conchas and pan de muerto for Día de los Muertos, and this place came highly rated on Google and Yelp. We LOVED that parking was available in a small lot behind the bakery. There is also street parking if you can nab it! The service is outstanding, the people that work there are incredibly kind, helpful, and hardworking. It's clear they are proud of the bread they bake, and they are clearly masters of their craft. It doesn't matter what kind of bread you pick up here--it will be fresh, fluffy, and delightful. I highly highly recommend supporting places like this if you ever have the chance.

Yelp
If you want some traditional bread, this is a place to come get it. Service and food is great. The ambience is a little Churchy, but great place to get some traditional breads and treats pastries.

Yelp
I stop going after they closed for "oven repair" last time I was there I got some bread and it gave me the runs. Now I know why. They had a vermin violation by the health department and had to close. I won't be going there anymore. Yo me enfermé por comer el pan hace 3 semanas y ahora se por que, tenían animales y la ciudad los cerró.

Yelp
Best panaderia ever! There bread is one of a kind! You will not find any bread like this, taste exactly like Mexico. So good! 100/10 recommend!

Yelp
Cute little bakery with a clean colorful interior. I like the variety and quality if the pan dulce. My favorites are the conchas and turnovers. Try the gelatins! Sweet old fashioned Mexican Panaderia!

Yelp
I would NOT recommend placing an order for a cake. I asked for a cake with brown frosting on the outside and green dots on the edges of the cake. I even showed the lady at the counter a picture and she even took a picture of it. The next day I came to pick up the cake and when I saw it I was very disappointed. IT LOOKED NOTHING ALIKE!! now my 2 year old son is bummed out about it ‍ 0 STARS!!!

Yelp
Their conchas and bread are delicious. Come in the morning when they are hot. The bread is soft. Best bread I've ever had. I hate that I live far from this bakery.

Yelp
The selection is limited....but the pan is authentic and good..very good plus they have parking in the rear. And if you ever wanted to be wild and try some roasted crickets (chapulines ) they sell them here in a small , snack to go bag..I was surprised to see that!

Yelp
I used to like this bakery. But lately theyve been starting to suck. Their red roll bread mad me and my husband sick we felt nauseas as soon as we ate it. Good thing my husband puked it so he made it ok to work. And evrytime we order their cafe tes leches cake its not fresh and dry for having been on the frideg to long!!! Never buying fro. There again!!

Yelp
I haven't had any other bread in Los Angeles that resembles my grandmothers bread in Mexico. I dont know any of the names of the bread, but my favorite is the big round one with the red coloring on top :-) However, beware if you go at night around 7. The line is really long and it can take up to 15 minutes to get to the register.

Yelp
This a good panaderia. It's inexpensive and fresh bread. I recommend if you want authentic mexican bread.

Yelp
This place has to be one of the best bakeries that I can get my bread just sometimes I wish they would've been open earlier and closed a little later

Yelp
There cakes are amazing! I would've put 5 stars if it wasn't because they always mess up my daughters birthday cake colors, The taste of the cake is great best I've ever had but for 3 years in a row she asks for certain colors like black and purple no white and they always end up giving her an entire white cake with purple borders and black flowers, I would be fine with it if it wasn't so expensive but yeah it was good but they need tone up their decoration specially if they r going to charge extra for it

Yelp
SO GOOD! the best conchitas and bolillos. The most authentic Mexican bakery.
