"If you love an oddball martini, go to this somewhat hidden bar in Mary Brickell Villagei. You’ll have to ring a doorbell to get in. Once inside, it’s almost too dark to read the full-page explanations of each complex cocktail. But don’t stress if you left your reading glasses at home. Just ask for the taco martini. It’s made with tequila, sotol, tomato, and 12 other ingredients. It doesn’t quite taste like a taco—or your typical martini—but it’s rich, savory, herbaceous, and even comes with a miniature taco that's quite cute." - ryan pfeffer, virginia otazo
"Being blindfolded at a bar in Brickell is more fun than it sounds at Panamericano. This somewhat hidden bar in Mary Brickell Village takes reservations and makes you ring a doorbell for entry. Inside, it’s almost too dark to read the full-page explanations of each complex cocktail, which are excellent and often come with elaborate tableside speeches. Some include wishes over candles, others the aforementioned blindfold. This place is a heartfelt ode to cocktail snobbery. You’re not coming here for a rum and coke—rather, an incredible taco martini with tequila, sotol, and tomato." - ryan pfeffer, mariana trabanino, virginia otazo
"A bar worth looking for, Panamericano is hidden on the second floor of Mary Brickell Village behind Novecento. Press the buzzer to be let into an intimate space with a gorgeous back bar filled with spirits from the Americas. Many of these bottles might not be familiar to the average imbiber, but that’s part of the plan — to help expand the public’s knowledge about lesser-known American (North and South) spirits. Quite a few cocktails come with a special ritual, ranging from the use of incense to a blindfolded moment that lets all of your senses take part in the experience." - Amber Love Bond
"This new addition to the Brickell bar scene may be a bit tricky to find (look for the unmarked door on the second floor of Mary Brickell Village), but it’s well worth the effort. As the name suggests, this upscale speakeasy specializes in cocktails inspired by the Americas. The Taco Martini, made with tequila, avocado, grilled jalapeño oil, and a liqueur crafted from heirloom Mexican maize is as fun as it is flavorful." - Alona Martinez

Some of the schtick here may sound as gimmicky as the dystopian neighborhood where it resides. But these are seriously impressive drinks." - ryan pfeffer, virginia otazo, mariana trabanino
