The Best Mexican Restaurants in Seattle | Eater Seattle

"In 2023 Janet Becerra’s hyped-up pop-up turned into a permanent restaurant, and it’s a good thing it did because there’s no Mexican place in the city doing what she does. Maitake mushroom tostadas, coho salmon served in a perfectly spiced cascabel chile sauce, creamy Earl Grey horchata made with black rice — the rotating dinner menu turns familiar dishes into fine-dining stars. You could have a great meal just on the tortillas though, which are made in-house from masa nixtamalized in-house." - Charlie Lahud-Zahner

The Best Caesar Salads In Seattle, Ranked - Seattle - The Infatuation

"The serrano caesar at this Ravenna Mexican spot is solid, spicy proof that riffing on a classic can totally pay off. Charred peppers get whizzed into the dressing for a roasty-toasty kick. Castelfranco and fresh cilantro mingle with romaine. And nixtamalized corn tortilla chip shards replace croutons, and turn out to be a better vehicle for mashed anchovy than stale bread could ever be." - aimee rizzo

The Best Date Night Restaurants in Seattle | Eater Seattle

"Janet Becerra has been making waves for her nixtamalized corn tortillas for years, and in 2023 she settled down her pop-up permanently in this tucked-away, intimate Ravenna space that used to house the French restaurant Pair. The mole here is deep and rich, the serrano Caesar salad packs a surprising kick, but the real star is the tuna tostada — the fish is just barely seared and the chile-accented kewpie mayo is the perfect accompaniment" - Jade Yamazaki Stewart

Pancita is a special place. Every dish is exquisite. So well prepared, so many flavors, colors, textures. The menu is always changing. They use excellent ingredients and make all the components from scratch - perfect spicy salsas, heirloom corn masa for the best tortillas, syrups for excellent cocktails. It’s a special occasion to eat here. I’ve been a fan since they were doing pop-ups around the city and they have only gotten more creative since getting a permanent location. I love the small plates even more than the mains but you really can’t go wrong. The staff is really friendly and knowledgeable and happy to chat. I am shocked at how few reviews it has - and at the risk of it being even harder to get in, I have to sing their praises. They do book up so reservations recommended but the bar is first come first serve seating.

Google
Amazing!! The Brisket Tacos 😍 Super small spot so I’d highly recommend reservations. Not your typical Mexican food. Everything we had was delicious, perfectly balanced, and seasoned. We’ll be back!!!

Google
The food is the best in Seattle. This is an excellent restaurant, it feels like a homemade authentic meal. The tuna tostadas were delicious and cooked to perfection. The brisket tacos and Mexican style Caesar salad was also perfect. This place won a James Beard award and I am a very picky eater. This is the place to go to for an upscale Mexican restaurant.

Do yourself a favor and book a reservation. Literally the top place we recommend in Seattle. From flavor to friendly staff - you will not be disappointed. Janet is a chef that cooks with such skill. You can taste their love through every dish. Seriously. Worth every penny. Gracias a todos!

Google
Pancita: A Hidden Gem in Seattle I've had the pleasure of dining at Pancita and it's quickly become one of my favorite restaurants. After sampling cuisines this year in Amsterdam, Dublin, Quito, and Las Vegas, I've come to expect a certain level of quality. Pancita easily surpassed my expectations. The chef's culinary expertise is evident in every dish. The flavors are bold, yet nuanced, and the presentation is impeccable. From the moment I took my first bite, I knew I was in for a truly memorable dining experience. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the servers are incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. They were happy to guide me through the menu and make recommendations based on my preferences. If you're looking for a truly exceptional dining experience in Seattle, I highly recommend Pancita. Be sure to make a reservation well in advance, as this popular spot fills up quickly. Also keep in mind that they don't accept tap payment so bring your physical card.

No notes, even better than you think it will be. Do yourself a favor and go. Highlights for food: Albacore Tostada, Sourdough Tamales, Scallop Aguachile, Ceasar Salad, Lengua tacos (really, I could list everything we got...) Edit: Had to come back to highlight how good their masa is - haven't had it this good since I can remember, and they use different types in different dishes. Really awesome attention to detail. Bev: Both cocktails I had were good, but the Poblano Colada was really a standout. Service was great, good timing, lots of staff to provide attention to the guests. A privilege to share the city with a restaurant like this.

Everything was absolutely fantastic! Our server was Adriana and she was great. All the staff was nice and very informed, the Al pastor cauliflower was a stand out for us. Would recommend to anyone and will be returning.

Google
Very cute place, cozy with a small bar area of you don't have reservations. All the food was too salty though. We started with the sourdough tamale - this was basically 2 pieces of steamed sourdough, a little like a plain Chinese bao, pretty disappointing (the butter was good though). Scallop aquachile was a nice balance of flavors and texture, although it's easy to lose the scallop flavor. We did small plates only since we wanted to try more dishes, so we didn't have the steak or chicken mole. Unfortunately, every dish was promising but extremely salty. Beef tacos was way too salty that it was hard to finish, pork belly huarache was good and a filling portion but also too salty by the end, tuna tostados were both salty and top creamy and impossible to taste the tuna (definitely don't recommend the last one). I really wanted to like the place but the food was not what we were hoping for.

Yelp
One of my favorite meals of 2025. Made a reservation for 6 and tried a variety of cocktails and dishes. Everything was amazing, especially the handmade tortillas. The service was wonderful with great recommendations. The interior is very vibey and cute. I'd come back and eat everything/anything on this menu. There is good bar seating too, so if you can't get reservations, try a walk in and sit at the bar for happy hour!

Yelp
As another reviewer said, this is the best mexican food in Seattle! Pancita is a farm to table mexican restaurant and everything is hand made, including the tortillas. My friend and I got the following items and would recommend all of them again. Mamelas with butter/jam Suadero tacos Tuna Toastadas Toro Beef The star of the show were the tuna toastadas which were incredibly crunchy and had the texture of a a parmesan cheese crisp. We also got the chocolate tamal which is a dessert tamal with fudge , cream and brittle. We didnt love this because the brittle was very hard and pretty much inedible. The tamal was a little too dense but we're also used to savory over sweet tamales. This place is a little expensive but given that its a farm to table restaurant, what do you expect?

Yelp
This restaurant is in the former Pair location in the Ravenna neighborhood. The restaurant keeps its farm-to-table theme with a new Mexican twist. Parking is available down a residential street. Service is friendly and attentive. Waters were filled often and the server was able to make recommendations and answer questions with ease. We ordered the mamelas (corn cakes) for an appetizer and the jam it came with was incredible! There are two mamelas per order. The menu emphasizes the use of Mexican corn. The food on the menu is labeled as shareable but the portion sizes don't seem shareable. It seems like a ploy to get people to order more? We ordered the brisket tacos and the chicken mole. The brisket tacos are two small tacos for $22 and the chicken mole is essentially a half chicken for $65. I shared some if my chicken with my girlfriend but the tacos were not big enough to share. The chicken mole takes ~30 minutes to make, so order an appetizer if you're hungry! The chicken and mole, taste wise, is good! $65 is still cheaper than a plane ticket to Mexico but haven't found anything that tops the mole I've had there. We ordered the frutas for dessert and the fresh fruit paired nicely with the robust flavor of the chamoy and tajin. Overall the food was good - the jam with the memelas was my favorite! My biggest qualm is the price and sharable concept can add up quickly. The food and drinks are big on spicy, so if you do not have the palate for that, you may be better off skipping.

Yelp
Went back. Five stars for sure. The bar program is great and so is the entire food menu. Device was great and the vibe is warm and friendly.

Yelp
3.68/5 stars. But rounding up this review. Pancita caught my attention when it was touted as one of Seattle's hot restaurants in an Eater article. And with the abundance of positive reviews, it made it seem worthwhile to book a table a month in advance. Let's get to it. The food - pretty tasty, and such great flavors. The quantity though? Sorely lacking and I was still left hungry at the end of the night. My wife ordered this special cheese dish (photo shown), where they prepared two types of cheeses and a jam, served with two small tortillas. This was overall a mess - the cheeses were bland and the tortillas (again, just 2) were so small and measly. Why would they just offer two for so much cheese - we barely made a dent in the dish while smothering as much as we could on the tortillas. After this appetizer, my brow furrows in thoughts that the kitchen was rationing and being stingy with portions. Fortunately, the experience went uphill afterwards. The suadero tacos (only 2, which again, made me feel all kinds of fury) were actually really solid and flavorful. The meat was really tender and it was a great dish. I just can't fathom paying $9 a taco though... The ling cod was also really good. Pricey (you can start to see a pattern in this review), but tasty and rich in flavor. Probably the highlight of the night. Overall, would I come back again? Maybe for an anniversary or something festive to celebrate, but even so, it would be a hard decision to make. Despite the great flavors and prompt service, if I want a Mexican fix, the local taco shop can suffice AND I can save a whole lot of money. Claps for being promoted on Eater. Is it deserved? I would argue not really, but kudos and a pat on the back nonetheless.

Yelp
Five of us went this past Sunday one of my friends had been to the chefs pop ups before she had a brick and mortar. He had booked or reservations a while ago and I had been anxiously awaiting this dinner. Such a wonderful and memorable experience. Great staff our wait person was very patient and informative when we asked if certain plates were easy to share. Also one of our friends can't do a lot of spice do to a medical condition and the server took that into account when making suggestions. some dishes we had to double up on like the tacos and tostada cause there were five of us and those came three to a serving. Quaint space with lots of natural lighting, Bar near the kitchen. Street parking in residential neighborhood. All the dishes we ordered was delicious. The sauces are what really made each dish unique. They're also known for their house made tortillas. BEVERAGES Passionfruit Mezcalita Pickled Habanero Gibson N/A Earl Grey Horchata Carajillo GARNACHAS Albacore Tuna Tostada Camarones Asados Brisket Suadero Taco FUERTES Lan Roc Farms Pork Chop Mad Hatcher Chicken in Mole Seared Scallops With Crema Rajas DESSERTS Chocolate Tamal Frutas & House Chamoy Gifted from Chef sorbets- Prickly Pear, Lime and Avocado Coconut Grapefruit Not sure I can select a favorite from dishes we tried. The Tuna Tostada, Chicken Mole and Scallops we're definitely popular at our table. All the proteins were cooked perfectly the chicken was so tender. I'm more of a lighter dessert person so I really enjoyed the sorbets and Fruta with Chamoy. Cocktails were well balanced. I had a sip of one of my friends Carajillo I wouldn't have been able to handle the caffeine that late in the day but I can see why my two friends ordered it so delicious would be a great dessert alternative if all the others didn't sound so good. So looking forward to returning and try some of the other dishes like the cauliflower. I can see why it is well loved by other local chefs.

Yelp
The steak tacos were so delicious and very different from other tacos I have had--the tortillas were fresh and had a fluffier texture than I expected. The pork loin and chicken mole both came with an order of fresh tortillas, which perfectly balanced the verde flavor of the pork and the spiced mole. I have had better mole in New York recently, so my review might be a little more critical because of that, but I thought the chicken could be a bit more juicy and tender. The sauce was delicious though! I knocked off a point because although the service was good, we waited ~50 minutes to receive all the food (about 20 minutes for the tacos and another 30 or so for the entrees). The price point is also much higher than other similar restaurants--our total bill was $136. For an app and 2 entrees, that's pretty steep for us!

Yelp
Pancita is an absolute gem. It's located in the old Pair restaurant and has maintained all that rustic charm. The food is creative, incredible, delicious, and has just the right amount of creativity and fusion alongside classic, authentic Mexican favorites like from-scratch heirloom corn tortillas and Oaxacan style chicken mole. I'm never disappointed here. The menu includes fun and unusual wines from Baja Mexico alongside other options. The cocktails are delightful and fun. You can't go wrong here. I'm also a huge fan of the staff -- kind, knowledgeable, talented.

Yelp
I was excited to find this restaurant on an Eater List but sad to say it was a disappointment all around from the moment my boyfriend and I walked in. I made a reservation for 9:15pm and we had to wait 15-20 mins for our table. They told us they could seat us at the community table next to 3 ladies (who we were told would leave within 10-15 mins or so but actually stayed just as long as us) or we could wait for a table finishing up/signing check. I made the reservation for a late Valentine's Day date so I opted to wait. The waiter at the front offered us a drink menu and we almost ordered a drink, except he never followed up about the drink menu. From the start, I was already upset that I had to wait that long for a reservation I made several weeks in advance. Before we ordered, a waitress came by to offer us water and we ordered shortly after. Every time I make a reservation, I make sure to put down allergies in the notes and they didn't acknowledge it until I brought it up. We ended up choosing the pork loin as our main dish but I wanted to sub the tortillas for rice. The waitress hesitated and informed us she would check, took the rest of our order, and never got back to us about it. We ordered 3 items: - tuna tostada 5/5 - tetela 3/5 - pork loin 3.5/5 Ended up ordering a non-alcoholic drink later: - earl grey horchata 2/5 (way too sweet) Between all the dishes, the tuna tostada was our favorite. The fish was fresh and the dish itself had so much flavor. The tetelas were okay and had a little spicy kick. Texture could've been better ie crispier. The pork loin was p good and very juicy. I liked the mushrooms and the green sauce on top of the dish. The bill came out to be $100 and tbh for a place more expensive, we expected much better service than what we received. I would've expected a check up on if we wanted to order a drink while waiting for our RESERVATION, or for them to even comp a drink. Our food came out pretty slow slow while the rest of the tables around us received their food rather quickly. In addition, we ended up getting our pork loins boxed up (they box leftovers for you) and my boyfriend had to go up the counter himself to get the leftovers bc it was sitting in a bag for awhile already!! I had already signed the check and was waiting for the leftovers. Overall, we just had a poor experience and I wouldn't come back again.

Yelp
this was our second time visiting Pancita Restaurant, we will definitely be coming back again. All their food is incredible, my personal favorite is Cesar salad with Serrano dressing. It's a very unique spin on the classic Cesar salad. We have also enjoyed all the tostada combinations. It's a great place to go for a date. The service at the restaurant is incredible!

Yelp
No hard feelings, Seattle - but it's been a while since I've felt this way about a restaurant here. My friend was kind enough to snag a reservation for us. We knew that we wanted to try a lot of things, so we ended up ordering the following to share in order of arrival... -Serrano Caesar -Albacore Tuna Tostadas -Machete -Half Chicken and Mole The Caesar had some nice crunch from the tortilla crisps as well as a welcomed heat that I'm not used to with Caesar salads. I liked this! The tostadas were pure umami bombs thanks to the fried leeks especially. So, so good and the reason that I've already made a reservation to come back! While I didn't quite know exactly what the machete was, the best comparison was something like a vampiro with crispy cheesy and delicious filling. Yum. The thing is... by the time the half chicken and mole arrived the three of us were pretty stuffed. We ended up taking most of the chicken to-go and just didn't have the room for dessert. When I go again, I'd probably skip the chicken in order to make room for dessert. All and all, the service was friendly and the environment was warm - like eating dinner at a friend's house. I'll be back!

Yelp
We made a same-day res for 5pm (right when they open) and easily found parking nearby on a Sunday night. We were quickly seated and ordered drinks: the earl grey horchata is more viscous than I had previously encountered, and I loved it- as the ice melts its texture resembles the horchata I'm used to (from taco joints and such). The ghia Le spritz was delightful, I hadn't tried this canned aperitif before (non alcoholic!) The squash blossom was SUBLIME - the tomato water mixed with the charred habanero oil perfectly- an addictive spicy broth for the tasty seafood filled flower. Perfectly crunchy and delicious. The albacore tostadas (an homage to contramar restaurant in Mexico) were absolute perfection- the corn in the tortilla is nixtamalized there every day, so the tortillas made from it are divine. This is the most craveable dish on the menu, though it's a real toss-up between them all. The suadero tacos were delicious- well seasoned and slightly crispy pieces of beef, mingled with salsa tatemada that perfectly amplified the umami. SO GOOD. Our main was the lingcod with white mole- something I'd never seen or heard of before- but it was an amazing flavor journey- perfectly balanced sweetness from tart cherries mixed with nutty crunchy sesame on the fish (sesame usually is an addition to moles so this is a playful way to incorporate that in another way- fantastic!) - all tied together with the licorice-y fennel and pine-y white mole- just a symphony of deliciousness and nuance. For dessert we had the creamed corn uchepo- think corn bread steamed in a corn husk- it was SO good. The salted cream and poached nectarines with a hint of wine were another incredible combination. Our minds were blown, and we'll be back as soon as possible!!!

Yelp
Celiac here. Went hoping for more gluten free options but surprisingly they were limited. The tortillas were incredible ( and GF) but I ended up with the pork chop for$45. It was probably the best pork chop I've ever eaten. The shrimp appetizer was good but super messy as they cook it with the shell and head on and it was pretty spicy. Glad I got to eat here- service and atmosphere top notch. Won't likely be back until more gluten free options are offered.

Yelp
This place is hard to get into. It has a unique menu with an interesting mix of ingredients but they don't always knock it out of the park. They've had rave reviews so maybe our expectations were set too high? The tartare was disappointing because the beef itself was impossible to taste under all of the other flavors and spices. The tamale was different than any of the other many tamales I've had. It would have made an interesting breakfast because it was more of a bread roll with jam than a traditional tamale. I guess I'm a Los Hernandez fan. The mole chicken was excellent but, again, I have a preference for the mole chicken in a little Salvadorean restaurant in Tieton. I'll try it again but next time, I'll try something I've never heard of. And the service...the servers were very nice but the service was uneven. It may have been the bar or the kitchen being backed up. My husband's Gibson came out after the first course. It really was weird tasting - and he likes weird drinks - so he set it aside and he ordered a Manhattan. It never came. They graciously didn't charge for either drink. The one thing he doesn't like is tequila and most of their cocktails are made with it so if you like it, this is your place. It is worth a try but I'm sad to say, I found it overrated. Maybe I will take a chance and review it again.

Yelp
We made reservations online for Saturday night which is a great tip as we saw a party of two walk in and was quoted an hour and half wait. We came 10 mins early and got seated right away. For appetizers, we got the asparagus ceviche and it was probably one of the best ceviches I ever had. It was the special of the day however they need to add this to the permanent menu if they can. The sauce was perfectly seasoned and the depth of flavors was awesome. Next, we tried the tetelas which was beautifully plated with different sauces. The tetelas was stuffed with veggies and cheese. So good! I love the house made tortilla. For our entree we got the chicken and mole which is half of a chicken so definitely a plate you share. The mole had a lot of flavors and they serve it with tortillas. For dessert, we got the fruit bowl with housemade chamoy. It was refreshing to eat at the end of the meal. Service was attentive and kind. The ambiance was cozy. We will definitely return!

Yelp
Cute little spot. Tables are close together so you may feel like you are dining with your neighbor. The caesar was INCREDIBLE! The prawns were so flavorful (and messy). The Pork chop was our favorite item! The fruit & chamoy was fresh and tangy, beautiful presentation. Also got the chocolate tamal (not pictured) and that is a must try! Unique and delicious.

Yelp
Had the best experience because of Elaine. My good friend has a huge list of allergies, we sat at the bar and asked if she wouldn't mind recommending based on the list of allergies. She was SO nice and knowledgeable. Also the mezcal margs were AMAZING! I hope I get her next time!

Yelp
Everything about Pancita was wonderful, from the service to the ambience to the food and libations. However, I think instead of "Pancita" (little tummy) it should be called "Panza Enorme" because you will want to lick every plate clean. I was so happy when I found out that this is their permanent space - they are no longer a pop-up! We ordered the chicken with black and red mole and Manila clam pozole for our main courses. Since the food was going to take about 30 minutes, the waitress suggested that we order something else to nosh on while we waited. We ordered the albacore tuna tostadas topped with frizzled leeks. My husband ordered a sort of piña colada (can't remember the name) and I ordered the passion fruit mezcalita (which was smoky and complex with the perfect balance of sweetness). If I could only eat one thing for the rest of the month, it would be those tuna tostadas. The tostada itself was wonderfully, perfectly crispy - almost Frito-like with an addictive crunch - and topped with kewpie mayo, avocado, leeks, and a squeeze of lime. It was one of the best bites I've had in years. The pozole and mole were delicious surprises. The side of rice was fluffy and flavorful. We had no business ordering dessert but we did anyway: arroz con leche with hibiscus-soaked quince and frutas con house-made apricot chamoy. Elevated. Tart. Tangy. Come with an empty stomach, the intention to have a long, leisurely dinner, and an early reservation! Even on a Sunday night the place was full. Highly, highly recommend!

Janela C.

Yelp
Outstanding! The best Mexican food we've had in Seattle. We order the carne, tuna, and cauliflower tacos and each one was delicious with unique flavor combinations and textures. Caesar salad is the best we've had anywhere with tostada croutons and a kick. We love spicy food and most of the dishes had a bit of heat. The chocolate tamale dessert was delicious and we enjoyed every bite. Thank you for a culinary experience.

Yelp
From start to finish Leo, server helped us navigate the menu. Confortable, family style seating and bar. Opened with the daikon radish, rainbow veg appetizer paired with spicy pepper dip. Followed by both albacore and brisket tacos. Then we moved to the scallops smothered in a poblano, corn cheese sauce. Pork chop strips in a mushroom, spinach, salsa sauce. Dishes accompanied by fresh made tortillas, and rice. Selected the chocoflan with caramel sauce to finish the meal. Every morsel was beyond delicious. It's clear to me why Chef Janet is a James Beard nominee in the Emerging Chef category. This is a must stop on your restaurant list.

Yelp
What a great experience in all areas...food that was terrific and flavorful, service that was perfect, and an ambience that was extremely comfortable. The tables for two are large and there is plenty of room next to the other tables next to you. It is easy to see why Pancita is still scoring 5 stars on Yelp. Everything my wife and I had last night was memorable. The service by Tim could not have been better. His timing and knowledge of the menu was what perfect service is, and he had a genuine sincerity that we appreciated. We started by each having a Paloma, and they were refreshing and perfectly balanced. My wife, being a vegetarian, had Arroz and Frijoles Charros, accompanied by four, made in house tortillas. I had the Mad Hatcher 1/2 Chicken in Mole sauce. WOW!!! So much flavor and I also received four of the fresh tortillas that were simply incredible. For our meal, my wife had a Fort George IPA, and I had the El Caporal red wine, which was ideal with my chicken. We capped the excellent meal with the Chocolate Tamal, which consisted of miso caramel, whipped sour cream. (we skipped the walnuts that are typically on the dessert) Again, so full of flavor. Pancita is the kind of restaurant that you wish was in your neighborhood, as it is that good, and you want to frequent often. While it is 13 miles from home, it is a restaurant that we will revisit again soon.

Yelp
The food here was excellent. My favorite dish was the mushroom quesadilla and my partners were the brisket tacos, but everything we had was excellent. It's a perfect spot for date night or dinner with a couple of close friends.

Yelp
Our dinner and drinks were truly delicious! It is on the pricier side but all of the flavors were spot on and it is a small, intimate space. We ordered a variety of appetizers and the special. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Tasty, painstakingly slow service (if you're going to come, you better come with people you're excited to have conversation with), friendly service, cute cozy vibes. We were a table of four with a Saturday 5pm reservation. We ordered two cold dishes (2x dip w veggies), four garnachas (sorta like taco variants which came with two each), one entree (scallops), and two desserts (2x chocotamal). You will want to at least get a cold dish because it took forever to get the first warm dish. LOVED: albacore tuna tostado, possibly their best item Also great: tetelas (basically their little vegetarian quesadilla) Scallops: The best part was the very delicious and unique sauce Dessert: Chocotamal (like a cake with miso caramel and what looked like marscapone but was named "amaro whipped cream). It was good, but also, you can't possibly justify paying $14 for fruit with chamoy, which was the other dessert option Just ok: Brisket suadero tacos (decent, nothing crazy special) Meh: Sikil pak (watermelon radish salad, a dip with raw veggies! At least it came out quickly) Yikes: earl grey horchata, way too sweet

Yelp
Such amazing food and we loved the character of the 1920's building. Our favorite dish was the Chicken Mole.

Yelp
Delightful. Warm, cozy, friendly and delicious food. A bit loud but not obnoxiously so. The Serrano Caesar is outstanding, and I could live on those the pinto beans. Drinks were so inventive and fun! A new favorite.

Yelp
Two and a half hours starving; one person in the kitchen?! House was full but nobody was eating. Decent flavors, exorbitant prices and tiny portions. One would expect some mediocre presentation and ambiance for a popup but the stars given by other reviewers just do not add up with our experience

Yelp
Overpriced, slow service, tiny portions. Never again Delicious food but eat before you come.

Yelp
Really enjoyed what they have done with this space. This place is near my home so we have luckily gone multiple times, and it hasn't disappointed. The tuna tostada is truly a special dish. Also have enjoyed most of the dishes they put out. Dishes always feel well thought out with lots of depth. Service has generally always been friendly and helpful. Very thankful to have this place close by.

Yelp
If I could give this place 6 stars, I would. We practically licked the plates clean. The Caesar salad was outstanding, with a spicy flare to it that made it probably one of the best Caesar salads I've ever had. We also had the Chile poblano, the mole chicken and the tuna tostada. Everything was delicious. A restaurant that I'd expect in LA, SF or NY. Exciting to have it in Seattle.

Yelp
The service and ambiance were delightful and relaxing. The food is the real star. We ordered the scallop appetizer (served cold) to start. It was expensive at $28 but delicious and enjoyable. We also had the beef tacos, again a little pricey at $18 for 2 tacos. The beef tacos while tasty were salty, and if I am honest, a little disappointing. While I would eat at Pancita's again, I would not order this dish. My companion ordered a quesadilla and was underwhelmed making this another low value menu item. Two other well received dishes were the Cesar salad and the salmon entree, both delicious and fun to eat.

Yelp
Hands down the best mexican in Seattle. The Serrano Caeser salad, Albacore Tuna tostada, Brisket tacos, and Chicken Mole are must haves!

Yelp
Amazing food!!! Flavors are top notch. The only thing I would suggest is they offer a chicken tostada option rather than just tuna, beef or veggie. Also a boneless mole would be awesome too!

Yelp
They're doing things right at Pancita! We had starters (serrano caesar, brisket suadero tacos), mains (chicken in mole, pork chop), desert (chocolate tamal), and a couple of the signature cocktails. All impressed! Service was impeccable. Everyone was incredibly welcoming and helpful.

Yelp
We got the tostadas albacore and those were great. The fish was fresh, and the sauce had a perfect combination of creamy (but not mayonnaise creamy) and saucy. The spice was perfect. The tostada was very good it was crunchy yet crumbly, not like any other tostada I have had and living in Mexico for half of my life, I have tried my fair share. We order the ribs as a main dish and unfortunately, that was not a great dish. The meat was chewy and it didn't have a rich fatty flavor, it was mostly marbled fat that was hard to bite on. It was paired with mole and tortillas. The mole was good, but it didn't have much of it, and the tortillas were fresh made but also only two. Lastly we got the chocolate tamal and while it was good, it didn't taste like a tamal. It had more of a fluffy cake consistency, rather than dense corn consistency of an authentic tamal. I was disappointed since we had just gone to Oaxaca and tried the best chocolate tamal and I was hoping it would be close to that. The ambience is great but as others have mentioned the price point is really high. I guess that is a problem overall in Seattle since everything is so expensive. Lastly, the service was ok, we arrived a little late and the host wasn't very kind about it, even as the restaurant wasn't full, she said that another party was coming right at 7pm (our reservation was at 5 and we arrived 5:18) so she said we wouldn't be able to order two of the main dishes in the menu, because they take a long time. So I was confused, even if I had arrived on time and their dishes take 30-45 min to arrive were we only going to be given 2hr to dine? It didn't feel good and maybe it could have been managed better. Then the waitress told us the same thing. If I were them I would have been more polite about the situation and would have suggested ordering everything at once. The ironic thing is that the people next to us arrived later than us, order the chicken dish that we were not allowed to order and their dish arrived sooner than ours! By the time we left (a little after 7pm) there were still 3-4 open tables. We could have had a much better dining experience if this situation was handled differently.

Yelp
Sublime chicken molé, fantastic avocado tostadas, funky orange wine from Mexico, and delightful service from folks who understand what the restaurant is all about.

Yelp
Nice atmosphere and great cocktails. The chicken Mole and Tuna tostada exceeded expectations. Looking forward to going back.

Yelp
We are always on the lookout for a restaurant serving chicken mole. When I saw Pancita specialized in chicken mole and the good reviews they were getting, I knew we had to give them a try. Even after making a reservation and waiting a month, we were not disappointed. It was right up their with the best mole we've ever had, including diners in Mexico. And the wait person was excellent as well, helping select other small plate dishes. We'll be back!

Yelp
The food was good, not great. Not great enough to have a scallop dish with 2 scallops for $38 dollars. One larger scallop cut I two pieces???!!!! Damn who the F do you think you are. The flavors were great mostly though maybe too much heat sometimes as the flavors were great and were then drowned out by the spice. Also tacos were cold, though delicious, I know they were meant to be hot and would have been better that way. Don't get me started on the albacore tostadas. It's just a tuna fish sandwich but on a tostada, admittedly elevated.

Yelp
I'm surprised that Pancita hasn't claimed their business on Yelp. They are a scratch-made Mexican concept taking residency at Pair until August. They do have 200 reviews on Google, so they are very legit. We were there this week for dinner. We had: - Sikil Pak (a dip) - Scallop Aguachile . Absolutely delicious - Albacore Tuna Tostada. Another very flavorful dish - Half Chicken and Mole. This is a great mole, smoky, woody, chilocolatey, sweet but not to much - Pork chops - very flavorful, medium rare - chocolate Flan My friends had the brisket and they loved it too. The food is very different from most Mexican restaurants I've been to. They are only here till August. Would highly recommend it.

Yelp
If you're looking for the usual run of the mill Mexican fare, this is not the place for it. But if you want to experience elevated Mexican cuisine, Pancita is the place for you. They are a small operation and they let you know that you have the right expectations. The cocktails are innovative especially the Mezcal ones. And the food is amazing as well

Yelp
Was super excited when this place opened as I'm just a few doors down. Top notch Mexican, but not in the way you might first think. Cocktail list is great, i always go for the tamarind collins. The tuna tostada is stupid tasty, I gotta figure out what they put in it that gives it the umami blast. The mole is amazing, nice and rich. The Serrano caesar has also got me putting Chiles in my salads. I've been many times and will be sad if they ever leave the space!

Yelp
We came in for my partner's birthday and ordered everything on the menu. The service was excellent; the food and cocktails were slamming; and the ambiance was intimate for a special birthday. My favorite was the mole! The owner came out to say hi:)

Yelp
The food is absolutely delicious. We have now tried everything on the menu and it's all good. The staff is all welcoming and friendly. This is now our go to choice for date night.

Yelp
The best Mexican food in Seattle hands down. EVERYTHING on the menu is 10/10. I recommend the tuna tostadas, Cesar salad, and pork chop! My top 3 plates to get when I go. The service is great and the ambiance is super warm and not very Loud so great for a nice dinner with friends or family

Yelp
Absolutely mind blowing cuisine. I would definitely recommend bringing a friend, as the plates are more sharing sizes, but honestly the mole chicken tasted great the next day reheated in the oven. Still amazingly moist for white meat. Prompt friendly service as you would expect, and a simple ambiance, as the food is the star. I'll call out the spicy Ceasar salad as a truly unique dish that was surprising in the best way.

Yelp
My favorite restaurant in Seattle right now. The best tomato salad I have ever had, hands down, and the chocoflan is shockingly delicious. Honestly I think this version of the tuna tostada is better than the top ones in CDMX. Service has always been top notch and really appreciate the selection of Mexican wines. We're going back next month, will be our third time in 6 months. Don't walk, run!!

Yelp
So surprised at all of the positive reviews. Out of the 7 different dishes we had, only the mole and the salad would I ever order again. (Btw: they also ran out of mole by 7:45) I hate to write a not positive review, but the price for what you get is almost offensive. The ambience is nice, food is not. Service was fine when around, but they forgot a drink and never apologized.

Yelp
We live close by and loved the previous place, Pair. I had high expectations - I walked out paying 100$ total for 6 individual tiny open faced tacos (we agreed two of the six were good - the rest not so good) and one Paloma. Will never go back. Expensive and not good. So disappointing.
