Yelp
OPEN DURING COVID - but chaotic lines and limited menu.
We came for the special $20 family meal - 3 large entrees and 2 large sides for $20. Not a bad deal - definitely enough for 4 people. (Normally this is $40.)
They are open during COVID-19 for both online/app ordering and walk-up ordering. We ordered on their website, but still had to wait 20-25 minutes in line. Not because they were still making our food - just very inefficient operation. There were about 15 people in line, but rather than check everyone or order the line based on expected ready time, they checked people one at a time and paused between people. So they checked one person, said their food wasn't ready yet, and then went back to cooking. Even though during this time, there were at least 20 meals ready to go and 14 more people in line. Then 2-3 minutes later, they come back with his food and ask the next person. His is ready, so he gets it, and the next person's isn't ready yet, so they went back to wait for that. There was almost a riot, as some people waited 30+ minutes for their food, which was probably ready the entire time. Some people that walked up and ordered (without pre-ordering online) were able to get their food 10 minutes before folks who had pre-ordered.
Note that they are only offering a limited menu of their most popular items. Of course, this includes:
Mains: Kung Pao Chicken, Sweet Fire Chicken, Mushroom Chicken, Orange Chicken, Angus Beef (extra), Firecracker Shrimp (extra), and Honey Walnut Shrimp (extra).
Sides: vegetables, chow mein noodles, brown rice, white rice
I'm generally a big fan of Panda Express - it was my favorite last night place during grad school. But this one was a bit of a let down. And my stomach has been a bit meh since eating. It tasted pretty good, though!
