This was horrible. So it’s late on Wednesday, April 20 and I did not feel like cooking. I decided to get my daughter some panda express we rarely eat out. So I go to panda express on Fillmore Street and order my food but I forgot my debit card inside the car. I ran out to get my debit card and when I get back it just seems so weird so I paid for the food and didn’t open it until we got home. I decided to take a bite out of her orange chicken and when I bit into it it tasted funny so I spit it out and noticed that the chicken was raw not completely raw but it was not cooked all the way. Had I not decided to eat one of my daughters orange chickens, she would be sick right now. I definitely will not be back there and I am looking to get a refund don’t even want a credit.

I have traveled all over the world and have never seen such a bad cafe and attitude towards visitors. an employee named Vincent simply kicked me out of the establishment and said that it was impossible to eat here, it was night, and I asked him why he simply said that it was impossible to eat here. but he said it after I bought the food. therefore I do not recommend this establishment. and an employee named Vincent, including. I hope he will be fired for this attitude towards visitors, it is unforgivable

Google
It’s Panda Express. Simple, affordable and tasty not much else to say. Was really satisfied with the soda though.

Ok so you'd thought like me that being on the Filmore this place would have a better atmosphere you'd be wrong. The old Safeway there is permanently closed and so is the parking lot. This has led to a cesspool of homeless and criminal types. This is all about the atmosphere around this restaurant. I was never able to actually make an order because I spent all my time trying to sign up for their rewards discount of 20%. No matter how many times or different links I used I'd get as far as signing up but it just wouldn't let you send the confirmation email so it never worked. Between that and trying to keep an eye on my vehicle in the sketchy parking area I decided to just give up and leave. I hope they're able to clean up the area or maybe move this business to another location. 🙁

Google
Kind of expensive for fast food, but great portion size that can provide multiple meals. Glad they have the Beyond Orange Chicken, but sucks that they add a vegan food premium to the price.

Google
I ordered ubereats. If panda express messes up your order the only thing they can do is remake your food and or give you the missing item. Meanwhile ubereats has already charged you $15 plus tip… if you call ubereats they will only refund you for the missing item. They told me after I explained I like to eat my orange chicken with rice so if I order both I want both to eat it . The customer service rep says well I guess you’ll just eat the orange chicken alone won’t you?

Freddy Martinez

Google
Food is good but this place is really ghetto. Doesn’t allow dine in or allow you to use the restroom. You have to take your food to go.

Jose Castillo

Google
They don't listen to you, they pack what they want, they are super rude, super aggressive, they have no empathy, I would never go to this place, change this woman who serves the food June 6 2:20 pm

Yelp
I don't think I have ever been to Panda Express and I wouldn't be surprised if my relatives don't eat at Panda Express in San Francisco. This one is in the Fillmore and that is why you are talking about Panda Express because it's "get-to" hahaha I can't believe that I used a gift card to pay $15 to eat at Panda Express. It turns out it's a 2 item combo. I got broccoli and beef with egg rolls and a mango punch. Also, fried rice. It's not that bad but I prefer better authentic Chinese food. Panda Express makes me squirm and makes me feel disgusted that you would talk to me about Panda Express. Most people don't want to talk about it. HAHA. First time and last time.

Yelp
I pre- ordered on their app. It was very easy. Sit in my car in the safeway parking lot. Order, when ready, get out of my car and pick up. I had the "bowl" which includes a side and entree. I picked super greens - broccoli and mushroom chickens. Reminds me of a personable bowl. There was zuchini and cabbage. It all tasted pretty good. Super fast pick up since there weren't many people. Broccoli was crunchy, really good. Feeling healthy. I really liked their app telling me how many calories in each bowl. I can see going back here when I just want a little something Chinese.

Yelp
We ordered a gigantic order from this Panda Express today and it was a great experience. Everything was ready when we arrived. We were so lucky to get a parking space right by the door but our order was so big we still worried about getting it to the car. A very nice man named Vincent carried all of it for us. He and the 2 young ladies at the front counter were super friendly and helpful to us. We had a special request for extra utensils and it was all packaged so perfectly. I would love to come here again. We had Beef/Broccoli on rice, Chicken/Mushroom on rice, and Eggplant Tofu on rice. Everyone in our large group enjoyed the meal.

Yelp
Well lit, fast, hot and tasty food, always consistent and it looks like they remodeled!

Sly L.

Yelp
Your rice was very malnourished and your meats were very meaty but the bad kind of meaty and had squishy parts that I had to pull out of my mouth like suction and grip onto for dear life to get off the actual meat but even the actual meat was JUST as similar as the squishy parts, I literally only liked your noodles that are rice, but even those were greasy I could feel myself about to shit my pants as my writing this review, God damn, I can feel my buttcheeks clenching. Pray for me fella because yoru food DID THIS this is the consequences of your own actions and I will never forgive you panda express. You've done this, this was your doing and your staff failed me...now let's hope my toilet doesn't fail me as bad as you did ...goodnight, maybe even forever..think about what you did.

Yelp
It'll never go wrong with Beijing beef. Its strong good flavor is really something! Portions are alright. Its at least clean here. I understand that the table are not open. I prefer it that way as homeless usually occupy it for too long. One thing though is that the portion is not the same as before. I remember the time where they really fill it up!
google avatar

Pati S.

Yelp
thought the food was good and fresh. I ordered Beijing beef, broccoli beef, green bean chicken, and noodles , all very good, but not very saucey. I was disappointed they didn't allow you to eat there, even though they had tables. It's conveniently located near The Fillmore in SF.

Romal H.

Yelp
Unprofessional employees! They should learn how to deal with the customers, they're acting like they give free food.

Kylie R.

Yelp
Always really kind and quick. Great service, great food, even suggest cheaper ways to bundle a meal.

Yelp
Got Panda Express as a quick delivery lunch for a busy work day when I don't feel like cooking; or want anything else nearby. Good, does the job, this works when I'm really unsure what I want to eat , but want to eat some Chinese American comfort food. Y'all know...the kind we all grew up with, (if you don't know, it's okay, you missed a lot! Lol, just kidding! Maybe...) except I made a conscious choice to not get beef broccoli and orange chicken. I tried their options of having super greens (assorted veggies mainly comprised of broccoli and assorted veggies) instead of rice. I did get a half side of chow mein (how come they don't offer vinegar for delivery?) and for the two choices, I got the Kung Pao Chicken and the eggplant tofu. I don't care for the eggplant tofu though, too sweet. I also got a small order of cream cheese Rangoon (aka crab Rangoon in some places) such a guilty pleasure! Crunchy and creamy...yummmmm. Delivery bag sealed and stapled.

Umesh M.

Yelp
I always like panda express. Food was good as always. One star because they dont let me eat inside. As it was only take out. I ordered it already so i decided to buy the food. I had to eat it outside in the parking lot. I should have decline to order once the said its take out only. I didnt enjoy eating it as much as i enjoy eating inside.

Yelp
There is no seating available in this location, and the restaurant is quite clean as well. The staff is friendly and courteous, and service is fast. The food at this panda express tastes as you expect and I found no issue with the quality of this location's dishes. If you're looking for a cheap and quick meal this is the place to go. I usually order half veggies and rice, alongside the orange chicken/Beijing beef and the eggplant tofu, which i find to be a good balance of veggies, carbs and proteins.

Yelp
It's difficult to review fast food chains. A customer usually has expectations, certainly food wise when dining or taking out meals. I've mostly been going to one in a popular Daly City shopping mall. This stop is in an evolving neighborhood, an eclectic mix of old-time neighborhood stores, chain store, ethnic businesses, and Michelin star restaurants. Yes, quite a mix. This store faces Fillmore Street and is a bit odd shaped. You enter from the door on the right and weave up a ramp to the food counter in placing your order. A friend asked me to get a couple of sides on my way to visiting her on a midweek afternoon. There was no line but a customer was just placing his order when I arrived. The masked (yes, Covid is still an issue right now) gentleman asked me what I wanted and quickly put my two boxes together. The thing that shined for me is that he took the time and effort to tape both boxes shut. The square upright paper boxes have a tendency to open on their own, especially when the steam hits the lid and softens it. I've had several experiences when, bringing the food to my friend, the flaps were open and the juices or sauces from the food leaked out into the bag, making a wet mess. As I made my way down the counter to the cashier, the lady kindly asked whether I wanted anything else (no) and gave me my total. I paid her in cash and she reminded me to grab my change coins that were dispensed to the register tray. Attention to detail. That's what keeps a business going. Thank you to the two kind staff who helped me on this simple purchase. The business should be proud to have you.
google avatar

Richard H.

Yelp
Food's amazing, but no diet coke (fountain or bottle) not great for diabetics or those trying to stave off diabetes. None of the workers were fluent in English, making communication through their masks a challenge. Worst thing about my visit? NO INDOOR SEATING AND NO BATHROOMS FOR CUSTOMERS. So you're forced to eat outside where screaming homeless accost you. But at least there was no poop. Last time I drove past and kept going because there was no parking and the city's poop patrol was bleaching the sidewalk.

Yelp
Walked in Panda Express during my lunch break today. It was only 1 person in front of me so it seemed ideal. The person working skipped over me and went to the person who came in after me and stood behind me. I couldnt believe it, lesson learned. I walked out and i will never visit that place again. Zero stars.
google avatar

Sadaf S.

Yelp
I've always had a good experience at the Panda's I've been too. Some people are more skimpy on portions but maybe that's God's way of telling me to eat less. I would probably go again and would recommend Panda Express to anyone craving "American Chinese food" :)

Yelp
Wow i can't believe been 4 years since last time i was here and never did a "REVIEW" Well they changed the setup looks lot better now and everything looks hot and fresh just like i like it. Was hella busy at 12pm the line was to the door and first they were little slow but then new person came up front and the line was moving faster. So on to the food i got Fried rice green bean chicken and orange spicy chicken that was really good and hot and fresh. The workers were fast and friendly not sure why so many bad reviews? But i guess people have bad days or maybe they got new employees? Anyway im glad i had great experience and the food was good and let's hope this will be like it all the time? It's cheaper then a regular restaurant so i don't mind coming here more often. lol Thanks for reading my latest Review. ~Lizzie~

Yelp
No shame, but I went to Panda Express for the first time in a decade and I kinda liked it. They had a new orange chicken made with beyond meat and I was impressed panda was exploring like that. They store I went to was kinda dirty and you couldn't use any of the tables, but the food was alright. They had a discount code on their app (which I downloaded out of curiosity) and so I got one bowl free. Fun experience for a rainy weekend!
google avatar

Nicole M.

Yelp
Just a typical Panda Express. The service is quick and organized. you can order ahead and pick up from a separate window.
google avatar

Ed G.

Yelp
Restaurant cooks needs some basic training! This is one of the worst Panda I've been too. In term of their food, they always overcook the food or leave the food out for longer than what is allowed by health dept.

Amyah C.

Yelp
I ordered off of Uber eats and they left out something I paid for and im am very frustrated would not recommend
google avatar

Rosa O.

Yelp
I thought the food was good and fresh. Ordered Beijing beef, walnut shrimp, Broccoli beef with veg fried rice and chow mein noodles. Large serving but they did not give me any gravy at all. Disappointed about that. I always want and need gravy to my chinese food on the rise or even just in the protein items then I can add to the noodles and/or rice portion myself. Flavor was good. No condiment packets unfortunately and this was a delivery. So next time I may have to pick up my order then I can let them know please add gravy and provide me condiments.

J M.

Yelp
They got rid of the only option I eat. Bring back the beyond orange. The people have been requesting for it.
google avatar

S. C.

Yelp
Didn't see chow fun amongst the different woks so ordered fried rice and tried the Impossible Orange Chicken. Liked the taste but to much breading. Didn't see mixed greens either. I was there at 1pm so I was surprised at the limited variety.
google avatar

Kenneth P.

Yelp
Wowww so not only is the food sub par (even by panda express standards), but now they charge you .25 cents a bag ? I get it's only a Qtr, but that is 2.5× the amount the CA says you have to charge for a bag even though ABSOLUTELY NO FAST FOOD PLACES CHARGE A BAG TAX... Wtf is this Panda?
google avatar

Yelp
After a food poisoning incident at this Panda location and extreme pushback from the manager who didn't want to refund my money (I brought her the leftover raw chicken and the receipt), it took me almost 4 years to return to Panda Express. I'd never been sicker nor more offended by the lack of concern. I'd even called the first thing the following morning to report the issue so no other customers would get ill. Flash forward 4 years: I went today and it was as expected. There was lots of staff behind the counter but an odd lack of efficiency. They weren't rude but not solicitous, either. I chose the Angus steak which was just okay (chewy, lacking flavor and very oily) and the black pepper chicken that was unexpectedly delicious and full of flavor. I chose brown rice to pair with the beef and chicken and it was decent quality. The black iced tea was also okay (it was a weaker brew and tasted slightly sweetened). Panda is located in an area larded with fast food choices (Popeyes, McDonald's, a couple sandwich shops including Subway). It's quick and relatively inexpensive and uses better ingredients. And now that the scales are zeroed out, I might go back in again sooner than 4 years and if all goes well, I'll add a third star.

Yelp
Had a busy day today running around doing errands , and feeling tired with a body ache and just wanting to crash. My solution , satisfy my craving for Old School Americanized East Coast Style Chinese Food! I opted for the family meal it was not as cheap as last Spring at $20 , but at $29 still less then the normal price of $40. For me this is a good 3 solid meals via the two Carbs and three Mains. It was not fancy but the Fried Rice , Chow Mein, Orange and Honey Chickens plus the Beijing Beef were all good , and it's 2 meals in the fridge for the weekend. As for the location , it was painless to order via the application , and the food was ready and waiting. Parking is not an issue just park in the shared Safeway plaza lot , and walk over to Filmore. Nothing fancy here but it was a solid option for me given that I wanted some food in the house to munch on between episodes of a streaming marathon !
google avatar

Miok C.

Yelp
Don't understand why you have only 21/2 stars. Service is fast and friendly and food is same as any other Panda Express.
google avatar

Nichole Q.

Yelp
I hopped on over here the other day wanting to order some delicious miso soup, but they don't serve it? To be entirely honest I don't know if it's Chinese or Japanese but regardless they shouldn't serve it because it is disgusting. My chow mein was satisfactory, but where are the pot stickers?

Matthew M.

Yelp
service was awful couldent make fresh food a hour before closing so proportions where bad on top of the smaller bowl sizes.
google avatar

Yelp
OPEN DURING COVID - but chaotic lines and limited menu. We came for the special $20 family meal - 3 large entrees and 2 large sides for $20. Not a bad deal - definitely enough for 4 people. (Normally this is $40.) They are open during COVID-19 for both online/app ordering and walk-up ordering. We ordered on their website, but still had to wait 20-25 minutes in line. Not because they were still making our food - just very inefficient operation. There were about 15 people in line, but rather than check everyone or order the line based on expected ready time, they checked people one at a time and paused between people. So they checked one person, said their food wasn't ready yet, and then went back to cooking. Even though during this time, there were at least 20 meals ready to go and 14 more people in line. Then 2-3 minutes later, they come back with his food and ask the next person. His is ready, so he gets it, and the next person's isn't ready yet, so they went back to wait for that. There was almost a riot, as some people waited 30+ minutes for their food, which was probably ready the entire time. Some people that walked up and ordered (without pre-ordering online) were able to get their food 10 minutes before folks who had pre-ordered. Note that they are only offering a limited menu of their most popular items. Of course, this includes: Mains: Kung Pao Chicken, Sweet Fire Chicken, Mushroom Chicken, Orange Chicken, Angus Beef (extra), Firecracker Shrimp (extra), and Honey Walnut Shrimp (extra). Sides: vegetables, chow mein noodles, brown rice, white rice I'm generally a big fan of Panda Express - it was my favorite last night place during grad school. But this one was a bit of a let down. And my stomach has been a bit meh since eating. It tasted pretty good, though!

Yelp
I was excited to come across a Panda Express after getting increasingly depressed by the restaurant prices as I walked down Fillmore ($13 for grilled cheese and tomato soup!?). It was good. A standard Panda Express. They did run out of orange chicken, but Beijing Beef is great too. It's a relatively clean place, and the staff are efficient.

Sean A.

Yelp
Decided to go in person because the last order I DoorDashed seemed to have pretty small portions. Ordered double grilled teriyaki chicken with fried rice. Completely switched my order from grilled teriyaki chicken to orange chicken with no notice. Due to the line unfortunately I couldn't see them making it and didn't find out till I had drove back to work. On top of that, the fried rice was partially burnt and orange chicken was cold. Plus, they couldn't even throw any utensils or even a fortune cookie in the bag. By far worst Panda Express, go literally anywhere else.

Stephanie R.

Yelp
I was hoping to find a good quality restaurant which panda is always the place to go but I was really disappointed. My family of 6 walked in and we all placed our order but turns out 3 of our plates are completely wrong and we have 3 missing entrees in our plates. I didn't bother to check the bags because there were no other customers or rush of any sort besides my family and I trusted the fact that everything would be done correctly but obviously that's not the case. Now my three younger kids can't enjoy their meal and with the crazy traffic in San Francisco it might be a while before i can get them another meal. Maybe next time ask the customer when in self doubt of what we had asked for.
google avatar

Robert X.

Yelp
Ordered from Grubhub, called in and asked for extra hot sauce and the worker confirmed they would give me extra hot sauce. When I got my order they didn't even give me my drink so I had to ask for a refund from Grubhub. Also checked for my sauce and they only gave me 3 hot sauce instead of extra like I asked. I don't recommended it. Bejin beef was also old and hard, no flavor or texture. Use your money elsewhere.
google avatar

Che C.

Yelp
I just ordered through UberEats. I was so disappointed to find my brown rice not fully cooked with my string beans side order mixed with overcooked and freshly cooked string beans. Obviously, they mix old to new batch of tray. And the look of the rice- see photo- my coworker said, "Your rice doesn't look right." More so when you try eat it- makes you sick to your stomach. Presentation is way different from the rest of Panda I had been to. I am so surprised by this one. This place is not up to par to Panda's quality. Higher management needs to take a look at this place as things are obviously not done right, at least before they get reported.
google avatar

Namuun N.

Yelp
I order Panda Express from Uber eats all the time. This time my kang pao chicken, black pepper chicken string bean chicken was super blant no taste at all. Almost like they made a mistake on sauce. Fried rice was too hard and chow mein didn't have any salt. Only wok fried shrimp was good. Please Panda I love your food but be consistent.

Israel L.

Yelp
Every time I order through DoorDash there's always an item missing and they stay mixing old food with new food. They also never answer the phone to complain. Honestly not worth it.
google avatar

Robert R.

Yelp
the Fk you out of food if you do the drive-through. And always mess up the order or forget shit...
google avatar

Maurice L.

Yelp
I'm a patron of P.X. Reasons being, All of their produce is fresh And prepped daily, +they don't use "added" "MSG" It's my pseudo Guilt free Fast food Choice. Today I ordered the: Honey Walnut Shrimp, Beijing Beef, Kung Pao Chicken and half half White rice/Lo mein. "Normally" that's a winning combo, Normally... But today not so much The Shrimp was over cooked, The Beef was dry and not totally coated, The Kung had no "Pow" (Chicken). I never expect gourmet from P.X. But today they didn't even try... I won't give this location another shot.

Michael Y.

Yelp
We were visiting San Francisco and ordered delivery to our hotel room. Waited over an hour and see on line that order was delivered. The only thing was not to us. Tried to call Panda Express and they didn't answer phone. Had to order from another restaurant. Finally in morning got hold of someone who identified as the manager. She was very nasty and rude. I finally hung up on her. They charged my credit card for the order I did not receive. I had to dispute charges at bank. Would never recommend this place or ever eat there again
google avatar

Daisy C.

Yelp
Today we went to pick up our mobile order. Pretty fast and the food is okay. I know it doesn't taste too good. I don't have high expectation. $20 for five choice. Pretty affordable. My husband and I and two kids under 4 years old. We have it for lunch and left some for dinner. Good deal. Don't expect too much. Just feed yourself full
google avatar

Matthew S.

Yelp
Despite what has been shared in the past, as of 9/5 and per their app they do not offer delivery. The app is well organized and extremely helpful with options for pickup timeframe as well as serviceware, sauces, and special instructions. While not specifically at this location, I've been a frequent customer overall and can say that I prefer their food over some of the local Chinese food favorites. Hope this location will have a delivery option as it is close to UCSF hospital; will visit soon!
google avatar

Kelly P.

Yelp
I ordered the mushroom chicken, orange chicken and veggies. It was all pretty good but I was pretty hungry. The problem is it's hard to understand the people working there a lot of them don't speak very good English. I was very disappointed there was no soap in the bathroom gross. Especially because we have the Corona virus, everyone should have soap in the bathroom. It's nothing really exciting but I have yet to find a super good Chinese restaurant in San Francisco which makes no sense. Once again the veggies were awesome!I will be back!

marc p.

Yelp
i ordered through yelp a plate with half and half with angus steak and chicken. Show in the picture the steak is clearly not in my order. very disappointed.

Yelp
Not bad nice service but basic and plain. Could do better but you need to fill up and go and go for gourmet.

Yelp
I came frecuently to this restaurant (panda express and The food is Great y love it. is amazing food But the Service is Bad to Bad I mean not good the ladys are angry all times don't give the corret order if u claim something they get Angry and dropping your order I tell them ( do not dropping my food I pay for that is not free !! Please we are many people with this kind of complain in fillmore panda express .
google avatar

Jiana S.

Yelp
Mobile order service is horrible and always backed up. The pickup time is never correct and the people struggle to get your order to you timely. You sit there outside the window for 10+ minutes, even if your order is ready and sitting there

Edwin C.

Yelp
It took 2 hrs and 55 mins from the time I ordered to the time it was delivered. The good was very cold when I received it. They mixed up my orders and I asked for utensils for 5 people and only gave us for 1 person. Although, the delivery guy followed the instructions well but the restaurant crew didn't and messed them up. The 3 hr wait time is too long.
