"“We enjoy getting drinks at Pangea, they are good and strong. Way to go Kevin Ashade! He makes a good drink, especially the espresso martini. So much of what we do is relationships. I have mad love for Kevin and I love what he’s done by making his own concept and opening right before the pandemic. Those of us who opened during the pandemic have a different look at things. You realize it’s an adjustment every single day, we have to do what we have to do. He has created something that is standing through time. The food is consistent, and you get to see the chef in him." - DeQuilla Henderson

Pangea Restaurant & Bar is an absolute standout when it comes to fine dining with bold, creative flavors. From the moment you step in, the ambiance is warm and inviting, striking the perfect balance between upscale and comfortable. The menu is a masterpiece, with each dish showcasing high-quality ingredients and thoughtful preparation. I had the duck fat-fried chicken, and it was simply outstanding—crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and packed with rich flavor. The seafood dishes were equally impressive, with fresh, perfectly cooked fish and incredible sauces that complemented every bite. The service was top-notch, with knowledgeable and attentive staff who made excellent recommendations. The craft cocktails were also a highlight, expertly mixed and beautifully presented. Pangea is the kind of place that makes you want to come back again and again. Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or just looking for an unforgettable meal, this spot delivers in every way. Highly recommend!

The waiting time for valet parking was too long and nothing advertised it. The music was too loud hence conversation wasn’t easy. It took us 45min to receive our meals. Not even the soup was brought earlier and when received, it was obviously cold and the rice dried. I found the main entrees overpriced.

This was a awesome experience. We went here for my birthday a few days ago July 31. It was a surprise. Everything was really good from the atomphere to the food. The waitress was really attentive and nice. The charbroiled oysters were so good and the eggrolls too. The drinks were good and strong. My stuffed salmon was on point. It was so good and had lots of flavor. I had left over for the next day it was so big. My friend had the blackened catfish with shrimp and dirty rice and mac and cheese. We had a great time and will be back. Thank you!!

Google
The restaurant and bar is nice. Complementary valet. $80 for two appetizers and two cocktails, so expect to come out of the pocket a little bit. May visit again to try a different food selection; just passing through while waiting on a concert to start.

We went for their brunch, and oh my goodness, was it a vibe. At first they were going to sit us outside but when we requested if we could sit inside because too hot and the DJ was inside they had no problem moving us inside. The food was amazing, and the service was great. Drinks were good. Especially the Ape s#it. Ordered the flight of mimosas, and it was cute. However, the way it is displayed took up a lot of space on the table. I have been to a lot of places with mimosa flights, and the way they decided to serve well, let's just say..... it was an interesting choice to display the glasses. It's too big and a bit tricky to get the next glass. The food was so dang delicious and our waitress was very attentive. We will for sure be back!

Google
This is by far the best place to have brunch. The service was great. The food was amazing! The Hangover breakfast was so good. I recommend trying the Frozen Flight to get a little taste of everything! There was a DJ playing music, football was on, people were friendly. I highly recommend for a great brunch spot.

Google
My overall experience here was just decent. Nothing spectacular, but I do want to point out our waiter for the night was amazing! He was very informative and attentive to our party. Before diving into the food portion, the check-in process was disorganized. We had a party of 8 with a reservation. We arrived a bit early and was told by the hostess that the table was taken but we were seated quickly. While normally it’s not too big of an issue to make new arrangements for seating, we were moved to the covered patio where we were constantly disturbed by the loud door opening and closing thus leaving us swatting away bigs the whole night while we were originally going to sit inside. Food was a bit too salty for me and I was gravely disappointed by the beef patties. The meat was seasoned however it lacked Jamaican beef patty flavoring which is what I was expecting. The drinks were amazing! There were a variety of them ordered and they did not disappoint. One last note, the Brussels sprouts were AMAZING! By far my favorite item that I tried and we actually ordered those by mistake. I would love to go back and try for a different experience with new items but upon first review, it was quite average.

Google
Really nice and spacious restaurant. Beautifully decorated with cushioned booths and nice lamps. They have a stage for live music sometimes and brunch items were delicious. We tried the eggs Benedicts and they were filling.

Britni J.

Yelp
Breakfast burger 7/10 bacon was crispy and covered the patty, egg was fried perfectly, but it was dry. The maple aioli sauce was oily and lacked flavor The peach lemonade was the best item I experienced. 10/10 delicious The service was amazing our server was attentive. She was friendly and talked to us about her college experience. We were entertained! We sat in the patio and it was a perfect ambience of chill breeze, sports updates, and R&B music Excellent for our pre-mothers day meetup

Yelp
I don't really believe that dried out chicken dish they served me beat Bobby Flay. The only thing on my plate that was warm and worth eating was the greens. It's a very large dining room with 10 or so couples. This is one place you should drive by. Edit: so this place got 7034 new reviews since I ate there a week ago. There were maybe 10 couples in there when I was. This place must have BOTS leaving reviews!

Gi Gi G.

Yelp
The food is good! But it's MORGUE COLD inside! This place is always freezing cold with a jacket on. The noise level is on 10 and you have to scream to be heard. The staff is not very accommodating especially when you have reservations with a request. This is the 3rd time we've tried this establishment and the 3rd time we have been disappointed. There won't be a 4th. Time wasted. Patrons beware!

Alicia J.

Yelp
Started with the calamari which was crispy with just enough breading. For my entrée I ordered the blackened catfish with a side of mac and cheese. My friend got the bayou classic came with dirty rice. We both thought the food was a little salty for our taste but the flavors were there. We appreciated that the food came out piping hot. Overall I enjoyed the food and would come back to try other menu items. Wait was a little long but the music keeps you entertained. We sat on the patio since it was nice out and this was the only reservation available. The patio is very cool and has two large fans, it was freezing even on a warm night. We asked to turn the fans down and they did. Another couple asked to turn the heaters on which promoted everyone else to ask. Definitely bring a jacket just in case.

Yelp
I have been looking forward to trying out this restaurant for I have heard great things however that was not my experience. We went for Sunday brunch on Mother's Day. We were seated and were not greeted for 45 minutes. The DJ had to go get someone to take our drink orders. We sat there another 30 minutes and then finally placed our order. My French toast was burnt. The DJ was really sweet and she told us to come back and try the dinner, but I honestly don't think I will. I don't have another $100 dollars to spend on what could possibly be a poor experience. I didn't even take pictures. I was that over it. As a food blogger, I always encourage others to try somewhere for yourselves just because this was my experience does not mean it will be yours.

Yelp
A reservation for two was made for an evening on the weekend. The place wasn't packed so we were sat immediately. Our server was really nice and attentive. It looks like a nice spot for celebrations and date nights. The draw back for this visit was the wait. First round of drinks took about 25ish minutes and the food was close to 90 mins before it had arrived. Nonetheless it was good, but the wait was a buzzkill. Especially seeing that the place was not packed. I read other reviews and noticed that long waits no matter the party size was the norm. Unsure if I would return as that's a bit long for me.

Kiannah W.

Yelp
I've tried this place twice and I can't say I'm going to give it another try. The ambiance is nice but the food and drinks are lacking. Either the food isn't right OR than have ran out of something. Last time I had the lamb chops, I chose not to bring the left overs home. The lemon drop flight, drinks tasted like I was at a night club, poor quality. I tried but I will not be going back by choice

Sheilicha S.

Yelp
This spot is a tad bit over rated. The service was mediocre for starters. The food was 8/10. My crab cakes arrived maybe twenty minutes later and they weren't hot. More like lukewarm and they were just okay. My pasta didn't come out for about twenty plus more minutes and that was piping hot. This was great the portions were enough. I took maybe four bites and had to request a Doggy bag lol. Krys (female server) she was polite but wasn't too attentive to our needs. She was all over the place and I understand this happens in some establishments. However we were waiting for my dessert that we'd been charged for and Krys was under thee impression it was already in my Doggy bag that was a Negative. Again that took another twenty plus minutes before she had to go get it for us and bring it out in a separate bag. We tried this spot for dinner. The service maybe better during brunch. I'll give it a second try, not sure if my guy will accompany me. There's valet parking, be Aware You will be cited and TOWED if you park in certain areas of this restaurant. They have very limited parking in front of the restaurant. This is on the restaurants website as well. I recommend you Uber, Lyft, or catch a . No one wants to be dining out and come to not finding their whip originally where they parked it.

Carolyn J.

Yelp
Food was good and hot fresh . Took a minute. Drinks plentiful. Lots of different beverages. Service really good and consistent in terms of making sure refills refreshed. Ambiance nice band was coming in we were leaving. More people coming. Great Happy Hours . Music playing. Rand B . A really nice place to visit and hang out . Try them out.

Yelp
The food here is AMAZING! I brought my girlfriend here for dinner on Valentine's weekend, and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. This restaurant is beautiful and is the perfect spot for an intimate date. The stuffed salmon was to die for, and it was easy to see how Chef Kevin beat Bobby Flay with his Have Merci dish! Everything was exceptional, from the drinks to the service and, again, the food! I'll be looking forward to my next visit!!

Ammoni R.

Yelp
The service isn't the best here. It took over an hour to receive our food although it was graduation weekend. our waitress didn't check in as often as she should have. I did get the jerk lamb shank and it was definitely good and 8/10 could've been hotter and my bf got the stuffed salmon and it was not good.

Dwaneika C.

Yelp
Everything was just perfect, the food was great. The drinks were great and the service was really good. The music played. It was excellent and I would definitely be back.

Laura V.

Yelp
Great place for brunch super spacious. I had the shrimp and grits and it was amazing, a little spicy but nothing bad. The grits had some clumping pieces but nothing bad. I also tried the boboa mimosa flight, just so you are aware it's not small it's 4 glasses of champagne. Great place to eat and watch sports. If you are going with a group of people and paying separately read your receipt carefully To make sure you were charged correctly. The staff is super nice in helping you if they made a mistake.

Yelp
Had a birthday dinner for my son at Pangea. It was our first time there. The food was outstanding as was the service. All the dishes ordered from the pork chop to the No Merci were great. We will be going back.

Morgan W.

Yelp
Dinner for 3 friends. The atmosphere at Pangea is nice, the music is a good time. Parking was really packed, so we parked on the side street. There's indoor seating and 2 covered patios with heaters. A couple of birthdays and large parties there when I went (Friday night). We had a reservation for 8 pm, and didn't wait long to be seated when we got there. Our server was really nice, but it did take her a while to get our table. DRINKS: We ordered drinks right away. They took maybe 10 minutes to come out. We ordered food as soon as we got our drinks. My friends had a sidecar that was really good. I had a drink that was a mix of all the frozens. I didn't like it. No cohesive taste and too sweet and I like sweet. IT TOOK AN HOUR for our food to come out. Our server kept saying the kitchen is backed up... I'm checking... so don't go starving because we were. We asked for the manager, she gave us each a comped drink and 15% off our bill to compensate for the wait. This time I learned my lesson and we all had a sidecar for the comped drink. Not good at all. FOOD: my friend had the fried rice. She loved it. And my other friend and I split the stuffed salmon. I loved it, but my friend thought it was just okay. She gave me all the leftovers and I had for breakfast. Still just as good. Also, had the Mac and cheese and cornbread. Neither were things I'd ordered again. Cornbread was overcooked. Mac and cheese was more like a pasta. If you put some seafood on it and called it something else it could be good.

Yelp
I really need to be able to give a 4.5 star rating. My husband took me to Pangea for my birthday and we've already decided on another date to come back in a couple of months. This restaurant was exactly the vibe we were looking for. Fantastic music to enjoy, lots of seating in different locations and heaters so you can enjoy the patio during the winter if you're so inclined. The atmosphere inside the restaurant is very impressive - plush seating and just enough lighting to create an intimate and fun vibe. Although the patio gave a bit more of a casual vibe, the music and TVs provided an extension of the indoor atmosphere and was still very enjoyable. When we first arrived there was ample seating, but by the time we left the place was absolutely packed, and for good reason! The food, drinks and service was absolutely fantastic. Our waiter, Xavier, could not have been better! He was patient, provided excellent food and drink recommendations and had such an amazing personality - we laughed and joked all night. For drinks my husband and I had the Call It What You Want (for me), we shared a Mexican Candy Marg, and we both had a Toasted Marshmallow old fashioned. All the drinks were unique and amazing with the old fashioned being our favorite. For appetizers we enjoyed the crab cakes and crab and spinach dip and I highly recommend them both. My husband had the Bayou Classic for dinner. He's never had oysters before but he loved them and absolutely devoured his meal. I had the Tuscan Pasta with the salmon which was perfectly flavored and light despite the cream sauce. The lower rating really just comes from the fact that once they got busy service got significantly slow, but Xavier let us know what was going on, continued to be attentive and checked on us during the wait so it didn't ruin our overall experience. Like I said, we've already planned our return trip and can't wait to visit this restaurant again!

Yelp
Ambiance is very calming although parts of the restaurant are dingy. The appetizers we had were Suya & crab cakes. The suya was a combination order. The seasoning on the suya was smackin chalked full of flavor yet not spicy. The crab cakes are generous with meat and the remoulade was the perfect balance of acid/cream/seasoning The coq au vin was amazing 10/10 Every bite I felt like I melted into this dish. I don't know the chef, the inspiration behind it but I felt like I was in somebody's home with a warm, family cooked meal. The sauce was silky smooth, the chicken was excellently cut and had depth. The mashed potatoes the chicken was graced on top of had a creamy garlicky taste. My husband and I will definitely be back. The surf and turf was great quality and taste. Their mashed potato's are phenomenal. I would come back without a doubt.

Yelp
Ya this place is delicious. I can't even say much more than that. I'm definitely coming back to try more things. The menu is extensive and has sooo many options I could eat + creative cocktails to partake in! the brûlée french toast is divine! wasn't actually a fan of the extensively caramelized bits on the bread, but the lighter/ less caramalied portions were great! breakfast potatoes are not crispy and also were not super warm either. tiffany mimosa was pretty tasty and didn't taste syrup-y at all! Only thing is all the food they served us temperature wise wasn't very hot. Lukewarm at best.

James O.

Yelp
Had dinner with my fiance on 5/24. It was our first time trying this establishment and the ambiance was very nice when you walk in the door. However, I recommend making a reservation because the section for walk-ins falls short of what the inside dining area experience is. It looks more like overflow area of a sports bar and not a nice one. We started with the creole rolls which were very good. I love the spin they put on the traditional egg roll. We also ordered the crab and shrimp dip. It tasted like typical crab and shrimp dip. We ordered the tuscan pasta. I had mine with shrimp and my fiance had it with chicken. Wasn't blown away by any means and I thought it was a bit on the salty side. We also purchased 4 of the 5 pictures that they took of us. Yes, they have a photographer that comes around taking pictures. The put it in a frame and we were very happy with the pics although, they're $20/per. No big deal. My problem was with the dinner bill and the bill for the pictures. They have a sign posted advising that they charge a surcharge on "credit card" transactions. I paid with a debit card for dinner and the pictures (2 separate transactions) and shouldn't have been charged a surcharge. I brought this to Carlos's attention, and he couldn't do anything about it so he got the Manager. I can't remember his name but he was a short, stocky black guy. He told me some lame excuse about some banks allow it. I told him that's not accurate and that you can't charge a surcharge on a debit card. I even pulled it up on my phone to show him. He read it and said, "it's not the restaurant but the processor". This was only half accurate. The processor does charge a fee but that fee is paid by the restaurant. They're passing the fee on to the customer but are only allowed to do this with credit cards. I explained this and implored him to remove the surcharge which was only $4.03 for dinner and $2.60 for the pictures. Beware of this illegal practice when deciding to dine at this restaurant. I've reported this to the proper authorities since the Manager refused to do the right thing! I will not be returning.

Yelp
If I could take back all of my stars I would!!! We ate there on Saturday... went to check my account today (Tuesday) and there was a charge for $5.15 over what o confirmed on apple pay at the table. I back to look at my Apple Pay receipt and it was $22.30. My bank app had $27.45... so I followed the hyperlink that the restaurant sent me for my receipt. Someone added a $5.15 tip!!! I purposely left NO TIP due to the poor service but apparently "someone" didn't agree with my decision and added a tip! Luckily my bank was able to recoup the overage. It wasn't about the money but the principal. Adding money after confirmation is a no go!

Yelp
Came here for brunch with a group and we were seated immediately. I liked the inside ambiance which gave modern yet chill vibes. We were seated outside in a covered area which was nice and it wasn't too hot. Really enjoyed the music they were playing! Our table had a mini karaoke session!! Our server, Tony, was phenomenal...he was attentive, patient and answered all the questions I had and there were quite a few Now let's to the real deal...the food. There were 6 of us so going to break it down by dish. Crab cake Benedict: 7/10 Crab cake was good; small but flavorful. Hollandaise sauce wasn't very seasoned but it's tolerable. My friends egg wasn't cooked like she asked. It well done and she wanted it runny. She didn't like that the breakfast potatoes had veggies. Overall she would order this dish again but with runny eggs. Homemade Pop Tarts: 6/10 We tried both the pineapple and strawberry. Presentation was great and while both were good, they were a tad doughy and overall all wished they had a little more filling. Everyone's favorite was the strawberry flavor. Short rib & eggs: 5/10 Two of us ordered this and my friends cut of meat was very tough. They were kind enough to bring her another cut but overall we agreed that the meat didn't have any flavor and the gravy/sauce was very bland. My cut it meat was very tender but again, no flavor. While I enjoyed the breakfast potatoes and veggies, I wished the veggies were a little softer and not so "raw". I also forgot to tell them to scramble the cheese in with the eggs. Spinach & bacon salad: 8.5/10 Nice flavor on the salad. Pickled onions were good and the vinaigrette was amazing. Chicken & waffles: 7.5/10 The waffle was soft and crisp and paired well with the wings that was chosen over the white meat - you have the option of choosing light or dark meat. The ancho sauce didn't have any real flavor any my friend said she tasted more of the ancho flavor than anything. She didn't care for the onion straws. Shrimp & grits: 8/10 Overall the dish was good but there was too much sauce on the grits for my friends liking. Also the texture of the grits were thicker than she normally likes but they weren't undercooked. The shrimp was perfect. French toast: 6/10 the flavor was decent and I did have to use some syrup. Bacon: 7/10 It wasn't the thick cut I prefer but it was crispy as I requested and not burnt! Somebody knows how to cook some bacon!!

Aaron N.

Yelp
Went to Pangea on a Friday night, it was very lively and most definitely a vibe. Seems like a spot ladies would slide to on a birthday for dinner with the girls. Drinks were good and strong, and the food was pretty spot on. I ordered the crab claw pasta and it was flavorful, crab was prepared well but the pasta sauce was a bit runny. Other than that the only reason why it didn't receive a 5 star is because of the wait times. We waited about an hour for our food, luckily I'm a conversationalist lol overall a good experience would definitely visit again!

Thelma M.

Yelp
I like this restaurant and would consider returning to try some of the other entrées. It is a very beautiful space, but the music was so loud, it made it difficult to enjoy any conversation during dinner. The food was tasty, the sides were great and unique, but my entrée, which was the roasted chicken was dry and extremely tiny. It was supposed to be a half chicken, but it looked like a Cornish hen. at $34 it was underwhelming. This restaurant is good, but quite expensive. I had one cocktail, one appetizer, a entrée with two sides and the cornbread with tip. It came to over $100 for one person.

Ashley N.

Yelp
I am so glad that I got an opportunity to experience Pangea. Our server Tony was phenomenal. He was very knowledgeable and attentive. The drinks were beautiful and wonderfully presented. That Smoked Old Fashioned treasure chest was everything. The food: I loved everything. We ordered appetizers and entrees. My favorites so far are Firecracker Shrimp, Crab and Shrimp Dip, Tuscan Pasta, Stuffed Salmon and Bayou Classic. I was disappointed with anything I was served and I'm definitely coming back to try more dishes. Pangea is definitely one of my favorite restaurant in Dallas so far. Highly recommend.

Brittanie A.

Yelp
My family came in town for the weekend and we drove an hour to be able to experience Pangea. I wanted to enjoy this restaurant so much seeing as though it was hyped on social media platforms and spotlighted as one of DFWs best restaurants. I was so disappointed. I will give them the benefit of the doubt because we had a table of 8, but everyone's food was luke warm. Our server was great, actually she was the best part of our time there. The atmosphere was beautiful but the food was not good. I'm pretty sure the owner/chef was not in house because I know this isn't the food that he would stand behind.

Melody T.

Yelp
This place is in my neighborhood and I've been wanting to try it since the reviews have been great as an average. Sunday morning brunch was calling our name. We got there by 10 because I figured it would start getting busy and didn't want to wait and we're the only ones there. Great! Not so fast. The hostess seemed annoyed that we were interrupting her handling of her AirPods and quickly sat us in a booth without much friendly attention. I then counted 5. FIVE employees that passed our table. Not ONE welcomed us, took a drink order, nothing. I decided this place wasn't going to get my money today, so we left. I have no idea how their food is, but if it's anything like their service. It's not worth the time or money. Also, if you you have children and you don't want them to hear explicit music at the breakfast table, don't bring them here.

Kadeem J.

Yelp
We went to pangea on a wednesday night at 9pm . Atmosphere was chic and chill. Christian, our server, was amazing! He had the best recommendations and got us to order food that we did not originally intend to order. We got the redfish with turkey greens, lobster tail with mac and cheese, and the house salad. The food was 8/10! Lobster was slightly overcooked but seasoned very well. Mac and cheese was delicious! Turkey greens was perfect and the red fish was amazing just slightly salty. So happy with everything we got!!

Tee J.

Yelp
This was my first time visiting Pangea for brunch. I made a reservation assuming that it would be crowded. It wasn't initially, but it was by the time we left. There was a DJ and he was on point with the music. I decided on the Brûlée French Toast with a side of bacon. It was delish. I would definitely get that again. My BFF ordered the Smoked Salmon Benedict. She loved it. As for drinks, I had the pink lady and she had the sidecar. We liked them both. There were some ladies there promoting Crown Royal and they gave out free mixed drinks in these CR souvenir cups. The drink was actually good. Why four stars? We sat there nearly 20 minutes and no one came to our table. We were initially deep in conversation before realizing no one's been by. My friend went to inform the hostess who said she'd go look for the waiter. Even that took some time. Again, it wasn't crowded. When the guy came to the table, that was our first time laying eyes on him since we arrived. He must have a great hiding spot. Hopefully, that was a one off situation. Waiting 20 minutes went beyond patience. This was my 2nd time at Pangea. The food was great for dinner and now I know brunch is also good. I'll definitely go back.

Tiara A.

Yelp
The food here is delicious, and the staff is always so accommodating. The music selection is perfect for a night with friends or a date night. You'll love the atmosphere. The lamb chops are a winner here! The suya was just okay in my opinion. Would pass on the Have Merci again, but the Bayou Classic was bomb. I can't remember the drink I had but it was so good. I can't wait to be back.

Jairo D.

Yelp
The atmosphere at this place is incredible including the patio, especially on special occasions they have live music entertainment. Making a reservation here in advance is very convenient. Service is great when it's not entirely packed. Food is chefs kiss, brunch and dinner has some of the best selection to choose from but be prepared for the wait time but it is totally worth it their drinks are nothing to take lightly they pack a punch. This is a place worth definitely coming to more than once just to try everything off their menu it was such a great find for me and it's a hidden gem for sure

Aaron J.

Yelp
Before even getting to the meal, the vibes of the place was on point to begin with. Great music choices and a very lively atmosphere! The food was absolutely incredible, I had the oxtail & grits with breakfast tacos while my best friend had the hot honey chicken & waffles with the shrimp scampi flatbread. Everything was top notch we both were in heaven! Our server Ashley P was so polite courteous and helpful with menu items and she made sure everything was great which it was! Then a professional photographer came and took our picture and the photos came out so nice and they even encased them in glass frames with stands and let us choose which ones we wanted to purchase! This was an 11/10 experience and a perfect cinco de mayo brunch, we will be back again!

James D.

Yelp
Come here before catching a flight out and I was totally amazed. Our server Melody was terrific. She knew the menu and she suggested the best meal for what would be good. And the drinks ???? YES!!!!!!! I recommend everyone come by here. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is the door was broken and kept banging

Shaquayla B.

Yelp
Let me start by saying I would give this a 2.5 for the lemon drop flight and the server being kind. The vibe was cool, nothing special, but good music. The service was extremely slow, but at least the waiter was apologetic and tried to make things right. Now, the food was EXTREMELY underwhelming. We started with the beef patties and that was the most misleading thing. It absolutely was NOT a jamaican beef patties. I had the grilled chicken breast and it was so dry, it was not edible. The surf and turf was equally terrible, with the steak (medium well) and lobster tail also being dry. The lamb chops and lamb shank were the only edible items, but again nothing special. For sides, we had Brussels sprouts, mac and cheese, greens, mashed potatoes and corn bread. The mashed potatoes is the only thing that was finished. Everything else was too salty. Remember you can always add salt, but you cannot take it away. What makes all this worse is Kev was in the building socializing, but not with customers. As the owner, you should check on tables and make sure guests are satisfied; especially when food is sent back and ultimately comped. Unfortunately, I was not able to have dinner this night because before the grilled chicken entree could come out, the other three guests in my party had finished their dinner. We had even already received the birthday dessert. This was my third time here and sadly, it was also the last time as it has declined with each visit. I will say my first visit in 2020/2021 was top tier. I'm not sure what the solution is, but this isn't it.

Yelp
If you don't mind waiting over an hour for an extremely overpriced basic American food, this is your place. Chilis has the same food and drinks, literally at a fraction of the price.

Yelp
Food was delicious and perfect portion sizes. We had bayou classic, chicken fried rice, corn bread, Mac and cheese, and cobbler for dessert. Everything was delicious and were all recommended by our great server Jamie. He was awesome!

Yelp
I really wanted to like it. We had reservations at 9pm. Food came to the table at 10:20pm!! It was a large party beside us so maybe that's why we had a long wait but that was unacceptable. We had to go ask someone who was our waiter after 30 mins. The food was just ok. I had dumplings first. They were fried hard. I also had the ribeye 14 oz. It was seasoned well but dry...I asked for medium temperature and it was definitely medium well ... some parts well done. I was not taking it back after waiting an hour for food. I usually eat all my steak but left a dry piece and opted not to take it with me. My total with tip was around $70.00. For that price I wanted to walk out overwhelmed. It was not. My sisters were with me and had similar experiences but I'll just talk about my experience. The place is beautiful. Just wish the food was just as great.

Yelp
I wanted to love it. I really did. I wish everything was better because I love black owned businesses. I will just say this...I ordered the Cajun Pot Pie. The description said crispy and flaky crust. This crust looked and tasted like a thin layer of lasagna. It just might be someone's cup of crispy, but it wasn't mines. I sent it back and got the corn bread and greens. The cornbread was good.

Yelp
I visited Pangea as a part of a large group for a sorority celebration. The restaurant is on the southbound feeder of the George Bush tollway in Garland. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and has a comfortable and upscale vibe. The brunch menu is to die for and I thoroughly enjoyed my Power Bowl. My dish had generous portions and was well seasoned. I also ordered a Strawberry Homemade Poptart. It was delicious also. The team did a great job managing us and provided excellent service. I had a great time and only wish it was closer so I could visit more often.

Yelp
Another brunch Sunday Funday favorite. There was a DJ playing music and heated outdoor seating. The food was great. I had the Brũlee French toast. It was delicious. We also had mimosas flights. It says it serves one but you can for sure share with someone. The service was spectacular. We stayed there chatting for a long time and bartenders and staff kept checking on us. Complimentary drinks were served during our visit. It was such a vibe. Each time I visit (this was my 3rd) it's a great time.

Yelp
I've been to Pangea one time in an attempt to support a black owned business. The food was horrible, but the waiter was great until he started talking about his tip. We are two black women in our seventies. The waiter all but said, :Yall beyyer give me a good tip." Very uncalled for because my.friend.and I always tip more than what's standard tip. It scated us! We asked for take out because it was so nasty, I thought maybe I could doctor it once we got home. This is one of their more expensive meals on the menu! Why did I open that box to a bucket of grease? The whole ordeal was $76. That was my tab. I don't remember what my friend paid. . Oh and the honey buttered corn bread was nasty tasting. The glass of wine was okay. I will never go back their again. The red flags should have been an indicator. The place was empty! As nice and large as it is there were only us and a table on the other side of the room where 5 or 6 women were throwing a birthday party. Ugh!!

Yelp
Very good Atmosphere. There was a high energy classy vibe. The music was early 2000s R and B. We were seated on the covered patio that was enclosed, despite the night being Warm, the area was cool The Calimari was fresh and tasty. I would certainly order again. Having looked at the menu before arrival, I saw that my item I wanted wasn't on the current menu. I was torn between that and the chili. I opted for the not on menu Shrimp Scampi Flatbread and it was crisp and buttery around the edges but the center was gooey. Overall the upscale atmosphere and cool cocktails werea hit. Gotta deduct a star for the gooey Flatbread, probably why it's not on the menu.

Yelp
Great experience, service and phenomenal food; what a wonderful combination! Went on a Saturday night and tried the chargrilled oysters, gumbo, jerk lamb and strawberry shortcake cheesecake with drinks. Every item was cooked perfectly and delivered hot. Service was stupendous as well and we even had a great chat with the owner, Chef Kevin, while finishing the night with a cigar on the patio. We've frequented Pangea a few times and certainly plan to return very soon. Check out this gem in Garland, Texas!

Yelp
Tried this place on a Monday for HH with some coworkers. I agree about the chill vibes and overall ambiance. Maybe it was bad timing but several draft beers weren't available and our waiter didn't offer anything else to accommodate them not being on tap. For food we went with appetizers and they were okay. We ordered the beef patties and shrimp poppers. The patties were great. Beef was a bit dry but flavor was great overall. We sent back the shrimp poppers because the shrimp was overcooked, and then tried the crab cakes. Those weren't a hit either. This was disappointing as I've heard many good things about this place.

Yelp
April 2023 S U M M A R Y YEAH!. All I can say is YEAHH!! This brunch was a 5/5! My sister went back the next day to order the French toast again and this place is not close to where I live. T A S T E Crème brûlée French toast : my eyes were rolling into the back of my head when I ate this. I love crème brûlée and I love that they brulee'd the top of this French toast - that was the inspiration. It was so soft on the inside but a little bit crunchy on the outside from the torched sugar. Perfect amount of sweetness. It also came with whip cream, powdered sugar and strawberries. No extra charge. Chicken and waffles : CORRECT! Chicken and waffles is my favorite brunch dish hands-down and this place did not disappoint. They fry their waffles in a pretty thick batter and they were a teeny bit under-seasoned to me but the waffles were perfect. No syrup needed. They were so fluffy w/ just a little bit of crisp on the outside. I loved those waffles. This may be weird to some people, but it came with some onion strings on top. I did not eat all of that together but I did eat the onion strings by themselves because I am obsessed with onions and that was the icing on the cake for me. I l loved that addition. Mimosa carafe : My sister and I shared a carafe. I love grapefruit juice and she loves pineapple juice and they let us get both without charging extra. We love to see it. This place is for the people. ALL people S E R V I C E Our server was so nice. I think his name was Tomas or Tony, sorry I forgot his name but he was so attentive and very quick and really on point. We didn't lack for anything and he definitely deserved the tip we gave him. A M B I E N C E You're not rushed, they're playing R&B in the background, it's just such a chill vibe. I also love the furniture. P R I C E The price is right! Finally fair brunch pricing French toast : 14$ Chicken and waffles : 16$ Mimosa carafe : 23$ Side of chicken wings : 6$ R A T I N G For this brunch, I can't fault it enough to take a star off.

Yelp
If you haven't been, you're missing out. The whole menu is good, the ambiance is vibing out with friends, and the service is elite. They anticipate your orders if you come enough. They have special events and diversified offerings. Can't recommend it enough.

Yelp
As far as food options go in Richardson, this restaurant is pretty high up there. I will say the portions were smaller than I thought they would be which lead me to feel it was a little pricey. Service was decent and the restaurant itself is beautifully decorated.

Yelp
3+ hour wait for food!! If you're going to host a New Years event WITH reservations, have enough servers/chef to help with the rush. To have a an entire table forgotten about is unacceptable. This will be my 1st and Last time here.
