"Since its opening in 2021, Panina has earned its status as the best bakery in town. It sits on a quiet cobblestone street, blocks away from the tourist enclave of SMA’s Zona Centro, double-dipping as a baking workshop and cafe, where visitors can find sourdough pastries, foamy lattes, and a friendly outdoor place to sit down and dive into the local vibe. Chef and baker Pau Carreno, who is at the forefront of the women-led project, can often be found geeking out over baking with whoever wants to listen. Add Panina to your itinerary for breakfast and enjoy the avocado toast with bacon and poached egg or the ham and cheese focaccia sandwich." - Natalia de la Rosa

A must visit in SMA! 1) super pet friendly! They brought out a water bowl and freshly made dog treats for our dog 2) the bread is delicious! We had a concha and it was the best concha I’ve had in SMA! 3) the coffee is delicious and they have a lot of options 4) the food is also delicious! We had two orders of Turkish eggs because they were so good! 5) the staff is super attentive and friendly!

This place is SO GREAT. The owner is so sweet and the croissants and pastries are so good. We took a croissant making class and it was one of the coolest experiences ever. We came in 2021 and I can’t wait to go back!!!

The sourdough is really good and the Bagels look amazing but aren't vegan so i couldn't have one. Everyone in the Bakery are very focused, reminds me of a East London hipster bakery/cafe. The Americano is the closest to what I call a Long Black in town. Great medium roast, super tasty. Would love to see some more vegan options as I would happily eat here as the food does look good.

I've been here a few times already and have had a good experience overall. The breads are excellent! The service for the most part has been great! However, I went there this week on Monday and a young lady attended me in a somewhat sarcastic way when I asked to make sure my cappuccino was hot. I had only said that because I also come here the previous week and they served it to me luke warm but it was still good so I drank it without saying anything. She said more of less the equivalence of "well yeah" sarcastically. Then my wife ordered a chicken sandwich and she happened to open it up and sure enough there was a worm in the sandwich. We told the waitress about it and she just took it and didn't even apologizing. They (I think), made a new sandwich and brought a small Mexican bread called concha as a token of apology. I would have had more tolerance for this kind of thing if the waitress was nicer and not sarcastic. Moral of the story check your chicken sandwich for worms. Having said all this, the rest of the staff is always very nice and the breads are amazing. I would give the rest of the staff 5 stars, just not the young waitress that attended us. I will go back for sure, just not for a chicken sandwich.

Pastries are great but the coffee is really not good. I complained about the coffee which was overpulled and burnt. I was told that the "machine did it". So they have dumbed down the barrista role to be a button presser - like Starbucks. However the worst thing is the condescending and sarcastic attitude of one of the serving staff today. When she came to the table to ask what the problem with the coffee was she became sarcastic and condescending. She seemed to think it's ok to look down her nose at a customer which is something I have never seen in Mexico. To be honest this person should not be working in any customer facing role. She has undone any good will I had for this place - which is a shame as the pastries are great. The others serving were also good.

Delicious bread and sandwiches. Chicken sandwich didn't include a whole lot of chicken though, it had more veggies. Muffins are delicious so I'll be getting some muffins there next time.

Amazing new local bakery in a beautiful space on Stirling Dickinson. Delicious pastries and bread, and their first pizza night is coming up. They are letting their dough rise overnight and will be using high-temp ovens to get an authentic crispy chewy crust. Can’t wait!

It is a cozy bakery. If you want to sip a cup a fresh coffe with delicious bread, this should be your spot. It is in a easy-to-get street but also no too busy. Staff is very friendly and food is served quickly. I have gotten matcha latte twice and scones. Scones are way too tasty since they use sourdough which makes them very soft rather than regular crumbly scones from East Coast. I highly recommend this place to start a chill morning.
