Google
I ordered the peppe and a white sangria. They use quality meats and ingredients and it was absolutely delicious! Added bonus, we needed something quick but wanted to rest our legs so the tables outside were wonderful and the food came out very quickly. Highly recommend!

Google
Went here to try their sandwiches. As soon as we arrived, we were greeted warmly by the employees. They were so nice! He gave us recommendations since it was the first time going, and it didn’t disappoint! Highly recommend trying their different sandwich options and getting the fresh all natural lemonades.

Google
Everything on the menu is outstanding but The truffle sandwich is out of the world.. we also ordered the meatball sandwich which was another hit and yes please have it with a coca cola and you are done for the day . P.S the portion sizes are generous.

Google
Their sandwiches are always so good! This time I got the fresh truffle with prosciutto and mozzarella sandwich, and tried their pastas for the first time. Their pastas are also amazing!! Great value for the quality!

Google
The menu offers an impressive variety of sandwiches, each more tempting than the last and it exceeded all my expectations. The bread was fresh and perfectly toasted, providing a satisfying crunch with each bite. The ingredients were incredibly fresh, and the flavors were well-balanced, making every mouthful a pleasure. The service was equally outstanding. The staff was friendly, attentive, and genuinely seemed to care about the customers’ experience. My order was prepared quickly, yet with great attention to detail, which I truly appreciated.

Google
I will never visit this place again due to their principle of making fools of people in broad daylight. When I pointed out that the menu says a sandwich costs $13 and an arugula add-on is $2, making it $15 plus sales tax, but they charged me $16 plus sales tax at the register, they told me they didn’t have time to discuss it with me and said to either take it or leave it. This is rudeness and customer deception. It’s not about the $1 difference, it’s about the principle! They post one price but charge another! If you change the prices at the cash register, you must change the prices on the menu as well! Be vigilant at this establishment! I am attaching a photo as proof.

Google
I went for breakfast on a weekday. It is a cute little place but with amazing atmosphere, music, food and service. I went to try their sandwich. They had great variety of veggies and meats to make my own sandwich. I tried their Truffle cream, fontina, veggies on soft toasted bread and a pistachio cream bomboloni. Both were amazing. The sandwich had a great balance of mildly sweet, strong and fresh flavors. I was surprised by the bomboloni. It was so soft and the pistachio cream was just the right amount of sweet. Their music was great as well and they were really sweet. Highly recommend this place.

Google
Lovely outdoor tables to enjoy a sandwich or pasta. As an NYU grad student we get a 10% discount. I really liked my pasta bolognese though from the look of my friends sandwich they might be better value!

Yelp
The food was so delicious I forgot to take a picture. Great pastas, great sandwiches, and good atmosphere. The waitress's and cooks were so nice and accommodating towards me and my family too. This is a cute restaurant that definitely had love into the food. My aunt is from Chile and even with her being a little difficult with her food the waitress was still smiling and being kind towards us. Español friendly

Angela P.

Yelp
We got the napoli and chicken parmesan sandwich along with the soup of the day which was a lentil soup. All food items were delicious!! There are limited tables but we were able to find easy sitting on a sunday afternoon. The service was also incredible. Everyone was kind, helpful, and lovely. Would definitely recommend for a fast but yummy sandwich and soup.

Yelp
I had the focaccia with potato which was the star of my sandwich. So soft, buttery, and a slight crunch from the potatoes. The perfect bite. I felt the prosciutto to be a little salty and the sandwich I had modified to have no cheese but still came out $20. I'm not sure how it came out being an extra 50% more expensive but the cashier assured me she'd customize my sandwich accordingly.

Yelp
Spending more & more time in the city these days. Saw a post about Panineria somewhere with a positive review and decided to have a sanddd-A-beeech. Drove to St Marks Pl. Walked in, it's a small place in a 'residential' neighborhood off of 5th Ave. This was mid afternoon. There were people walking in & picking up orders. It does have a few tables for 'dinning in'. It looked clean & had a nice aroma of... herbs & food. The staff was extremely friendly. After perusing the menu for a few minutes, decided on the Fresh Truffle sanddd-A-beeech (prosciutto de parma, organic mozzarella, truffle cream, organic arugula & truffle oil). I had a choice of three breads - baguette, ciabatta or potato focaccia. I chose the potato focaccia based on two recommendation from the staff, ordered it warm. Finally it came out, back to grandma's. Woe, that is huge, Jurassic Park size. Probably feed a family of four from elsewhere in the world. I was somewhat disappointed with the flavor of the potato focaccia - lacked something...seasoning...onion, like a French potato/onion tart... Will be back soon

Yelp
Came here for an event. It's a cozy Panini shop that also has pasta. I like the lemon trees wrapped around the pipes above the counter, and they have fun Halloween decorations up. Tried a few different sandwiches. Service was friendly. Bread was great, as was the mozzarella and salami. Going to have to come back and try a couple others.

Kas D.

Yelp
A bit pricey but very good sandwiches. I ordered a burrata sandwich on a baguette. The staff was very friendly and the place looked very nice for a lunch date.

Rebecca P.

Yelp
Writing an update because I cam back today and it was so good. Got my usual, the Peppe panino and this time the baguette was warm and crunchy. Unreal. They redid the inside and changed ther furniture both inside and outdoors. Great experience.

Lindsay B.

Yelp
Woo! This place is worth the hype. I loved it so much, I came back twice in two weeks. Haha I had been looking for a really good sandwich place in NYC, and this place came up. I had their most popular sandwich - the Peppe Sandwich. That thing is huge and delicious. Definitely worth the price. The staff is very sweet too - very accommodating. The ambiance is nice but it's kind of small on the inside. Definitely sit outside. Dining with a little view is always nice. Highly recommend this place!

Anthony C.

Yelp
Solid sandwich. Great great service. Very cute place! Definitely recommend for a quick bite

James R.

Yelp
Panineriq has some very tasty sandwiches in addition to some Italian dishes. Service is quick and my server very friendly. These sandwiches are not small so you will not leave hungry. The atmosphere is that of a cozy cafe. My prosciutto sandwich had the right amount of meat and d not too much bread.

Nastasya K.

Yelp
Very nice stuff, delicious food, they have an outdoor seating which is nice :) the cashier is so adorable! Definitely will be coming back!

Andi R.

Yelp
Excellent customer service, good sandwich! I had the Americano, added arugula and had it lightly toasted.

Teresa M.

Yelp
This is the best food I have had in New York. I had lasagna, my son had the pesto chicken and my husband had a sandwich that was to die for . The ciabatta bread is unmatched! We will be back at our next trip to Ny !

Bec R.

Yelp
Ordered via Uber eats when I was sick with COVID and was so delicious I could taste it even above the COVID ! Will definitely try again when I'm better maybe in person . 10/10.

Angie P.

Yelp
If you're looking for a really good sandwich in Greenwich Village. I definitely recommend coming here. Great options for vegetarians and vegans. The service is also fantastic! Look out for Shakira she is amazing :)

Annie L.

Yelp
Delicious burrata sandwich. Great bread! Lovely staff. Soccer on, which added to the Italian atmosphere.

Justin T.

Yelp
Unquestionably the best sandwich authentic Italian sandwich shop in the US. A go-to for the 2 years we lived close by, it has now become an unmissable stop when we are back in the neighborhood. It's not just the good, which is all it needs...but more importantly the people. Our 18-month old daughter only gets this excited for one place on earth...and it's Panineria. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but its look/tone/feel is unintentionally brilliant by design - no frills, no excuses, just great people and food. Don't miss it. You will (always) regret it.

Jack W.

Yelp
Haven't actually been in person but I order from here very regularly and it reliably the best sandwiches I have been able to find in the city. My go to is the Super Mario Bros sandwich The bread is to die for.

Helena J.

Yelp
SO YUMMY I love their salads and their pasta. My friend and I always come here for a casual bite and it's the perfect place

Gigi W.

Yelp
YUMMY AF LOVE IT HERE such good pasta and lemonade makes me so happy good atmosphere fire music

Shannon F.

Yelp
Yum! Ordered a sandwich for delivery for lunch the other day and it was great! All of the ingredients were very fresh especially the mozz and bread. I would definitely get again. I got the sorrento with arugula

Michael E.

Yelp
If you're at NYU, this place has great sandwiches and excellent service. Vegan options too.

Madam D.

Yelp
Food is amazing, service is amazing, I love it here! I loved the portofino definitely recommend!

aug r.

Yelp
Good service and good food , the environment is calm too You can get a free cannoli, and they have outdoor seating

Mary B.

Yelp
Really nice people. I had an eggplant Parmesan Panini. It was delicious! Very accommodating! It is very small. I cannot imagine that they can make as many things as is on their menu in this tiny space on E. 81st St. They have four chairs in a little counter. Only three people could sit comfortably. The owner is a young man who is from Naples! Nice to have someone in an Italian restaurant that is actually Italian!

Nora S.

Yelp
Genuinely the one of the best sandwiches I've ever had! It was very fast and attentive service and I will be going back many times!

Corinne W.

Yelp
Ordered delivery today and very underwhelmed. Large bread but small fillings. Wasn't bad, but the $20 sandwich didn't feel very worth it.

Tonyia F.

Yelp
Had a hearty meal at this establishment. Food was served quick and hot. I had the lasagna with meatballs and the sliced Parmesan cheese on top made it POP! Along with the bread which was toasted to excellence. Server was extremely courteous and welcoming. Enjoyed this establishment and would return.

Sophia C.

Yelp
great service & very attentive! i made my own perfect sandwich! Shakira was so sweet and friendly !!! So helpful and the rest of the staff was friendly and happy

Yara F.

Yelp
Stoped by here on a beautiful and sunny Saturday to eat outside with friends. Although we were immediately seated, it did take a while for someone to come and take our order but the food was so good that I'm not even gonna takeoff a star for that because it just made our experience that much more relaxed and fun. We all got sandwiches and everyone enjoyed what they had. The burrata sandwich on a baguette, which is what I got, was definitely a stand out. I saw that in some reviews people said that they didn't give enough meat in the sandwich but personally, I think that when you overload a Parma or any sort of prosciutto sandwich with too much meat, you don't get the proper mixture of flavors in each bite, and I thought that the portion sizes here were absolutely perfect and reasonable for the price. Definitely will return here one day, hopefully soon!!!

Randall M.

Yelp
My first time visiting Panineria Italiana. I visited a nearby wine shop, walked by, and gave it a try. The space is not beautiful, in fact, it looks very lived in. I took a seat and I ordered a Prosciutto sandwich on Ciabatta. The sandwich was tasty, but by no means the best I've had. My bill with a bottle of Poland Spring water was $18.02, and the value $16.00. Thank U next!

Marina F.

Yelp
I am actually counting down the days until I get to go back here and have another heavenly sandwich. I got the Paestum sandwich. It was my first time trying this place as well as prosciutto. I was not disappointed!!! The ciabatta might have been the best bread I've ever had. There was flavorful olive oil on it and the thickest, freshest mozzarella!!! Then, the salty, perfect prosciutto. I can not say enough good things about the quality of this sandwich and all of the ingredients that went into it. It truly was a spectacular sandwich and an affordable price. I will say though, I was alarmed that the people preparing the food were not wearing masks. I would've felt more comfortable with that given the seriousness of the pandemic right now in NYC.

Tasnia A.

Yelp
A taste of Italy near NYU. It's more of a grab& go spot but they have both indoor and outdoor dining! I tried their iced latte and veggie sandwich w/ organic fresh mozzarella, pesto, tomatoes & olive oil. Also tried the gnocchi gorgonzola w/ garlic bread. The garlic bread was soo good, the pasta was a little too salty.

J C.

Yelp
Yes... EAT HERE! This is a wonderfully quaint restaurant off the beaten path near New York University. We had the ciabatta turkey sandwich with an awesome Caesar salad with turkey and all the fixings. Simply Delicious with complex flavors, complete with Prosecco and an excellent red wine during the day. The Ricotta pistachio cheesecake was so light and fluffy, while at the same time tremendously gratifying and just on the edge of decadent. You MUST eat here!

Pete 1.

Yelp
I have literally been going here everyday for the past month since I discovered it and it's beyond exceptional. Incredible food every single time and the service is fast and amiable. This place is a must

Bonnie P.

Yelp
Okay so I ordered take out and although at first glance, I thought wow they ripped me off and there was literally nothing on the sandwich, and barely any ingredients but after my first bite into that crispy crispy bread through that thick thick slab of mozzarella and into the salty Italian meats, I knew in that moment that this sandwich was nothing to be laughed at. This sandwich literally brought me straight back to the moments in Italy, when I had all the sandwiches there from the authenticity and simplicity of the sandwich, this restaurant does not disappoint! I really really enjoyed my panini and can not wait to try all the other option they have!! I believe what really made me fall in love with this panini is the simplicity of the ingredients and combinations, very unlike the other options in the city where you have a million things in the sub and not really just enjoying the ingredients. The few items it had, you can tell with each and every bite that they were all high quality and imported from Italy, very very delicious! Highly recommend!

Lucy S.

Yelp
Very fresh, tasty sandwich! Very reasonably price and in a good location with nice outdoor seating. Also, friendly staff that was very accommodating!

Shreya B.

Yelp
I order from here easily once a week in door dash. The ingredients are simple and fresh and I'm never disappointed. I usually get the caprese on ciabatta. Can't say enough good things. I probably could make this myself with the amount I order from here but glad to have found this spot and great for a sandwich fix!!

Lorraine S.

Yelp
I found this place down the block from the CVS on University and boy, I'm glad I did ! First off, the service was giving by an Italian girl who was attentive and sweet and offers recommendations etc. There's a cute outside sitting area as well as tables inside. Everything is neatly decorated. I had the Alba sandwich cold. The Parma melts in your mouth along with the fontina cheese and that goes perfectly with the chewy crusty banquette. The truffle oil added an unique umami flavor. I had the Italian dream for a refreshing alcoholic drink. Its sweetness compliment the salty sandwich well and was not overpoweringly sweet. To go , I got the lasagna and the Gorgonzola gnocchi. Amazing !! And I love that you get either a salad or bread to go with it. Great small salad with a nice dressing but the bread is even better bc it's grilled garlic bread ! Check out their prices ! Wow ! In NYC and esp that area !! Come here for delicious authentic Italian food and drinks!

Samantha D.

Yelp
Amazing service and food!! Delicious authentic Italian sandwiches in a cozy and comfortable environment. You will not regret coming here!

Mansi M.

Yelp
They have lot of vegetarian options and you can make your own sandwich as well. We ordered their Sicilia panini that has tomatoes, artichokes and fresh mozzarella and we asked them to add little spice to it so they added picante sauce that made it taste perfect. Simple and fresh ingredients gave it the best flavors. We also got their vegetarian Italian sandwich that has sun-dried tomatoes, fresh ricotta cheese, parmigiano cheese and we got them to add the picante sauce. This sandwich hit the spot. The flavors were so good and the bread was nice and crusty. This was by far one of the closest sandwiches I have eaten in Usa when comparing it to the one from Italy. We also got their pasta for my son that tasted very good, although I thought the quantity was less for the price I paid. Follow @Vspiceroute on Ig for more vegetarian reviews The tiramisu tasted ok, I thought the liquor was too strong but the cannoli was so good. It was made with fresh ricotta and the wafer had the right amount of sugar. It melted on our mouth. As far as ambiance, it's a small shop that has seatings available but nothing fancy. I would say it was upgraded version of a deli. I am adding this place to my favorite list for Italian Paninis. My personal rating (scale 1-5 with 5 being the best) Ambience: 3 Taste: 5 Service: 5 Overall rating: 4 Cost: $$$

Dominica D.

Yelp
This restaurant is authentic and very high quality. The two times I've been here, I've ordered the alba. It comes on baguette (or cibata) with prosciutto di Parma, fontina cheese (I think) and truffle oil. I don't get it toasted, i prefer the prosciutto cold. I added arugula to this one and it make such a difference. The staff is very friendly, and fast. I speak Italian so it's nice to come here and have conversation while i wait. I always contemplate ordering their lasagna which looks amazing - but never had the time to sit down and enjoy it. I brought the panini to a party and thank god I did because they had really bad cheap pizza there so I made the right move. Anyways, each time I've ordered the alba, the bread was extremely tough. My only objective is that they use a more digestible bread for those with really sensitive stomache and don't like spending 5 minutes to chew one bite. Otherwise, 10/10 for wait time, staff, flavor, quality, location, ambiance. Worth the $14 - I ate mine in two sittings. I hope you enjoy it here!

Kelli L.

Yelp
This place is amazing! We ordered 3 sandwiches. The Diamanté (with added garlic oil), the Prosciutto and parm Sandwich and a make your own sandwich. They were fresh, and delicious!!!! The prosciutto was salty and shaved very thin (as it should be) and the Parmesan was a nice complement to the spicy salami. So so good! The garlic oil was the best topper for the sandwich. And delivery was a breeze. I will definitely order from them again! I absolutely recommend them!

Sarah L.

Yelp
We went to Panineria with two of our grown children after our NYC marathon visit. The settler was so accommodating and helpful but the sandwiches were amazing. We had a butatta, chicken park and meatball. All three were delicious. In addition we ordered the pesto penne pasta. Yum!! We will return to this charming little street hut.

Sean S.

Yelp
Don't believe they hype! Photos show golden crappy baguette for most sandwiches. Nope. The baguette for the 3 sandwiches I ordered were all raw dough. No exaggeration. Raw bread dough! It's was not only disappointing but inedible.

Cait E.

Yelp
Excellent pasta and sandwiches! Wonderful service and a lovely ambiance. Highly recommend the lasagna and ham/cheese panini.

Олеся К.

Yelp
Disgusting staff work in this place. The girl at the reception ignored us for 30 minutes because she was talking to other waiters who came to her. She is very rude and disrespectful to clients. I sincerely do not advise you to contact this institution, they absolutely do not appreciate your time and you Our order was ready, but the waitress still didn't give it to us.

Courtney P.

Yelp
Amazing Italian sandwich shop in the village. Ended up getting the Burrata sandwich which did NOT disappoint. The Burrata was so fresh and the tomatoes were crisp. I opted for the ciabatta but think the baguette would have been great as well. Will definitely stop by again!!

Navin M.

Yelp
The service and ambiance here is excellent. It's a cute sandwich shop with a good amount of seating. I got the eggplant parmagiana sandwich. The ingredients were good although I felt the eggplant could have been cooked a bit more. Moreover, the ciabatta it was served on was soft, almost like it came out of a microwave vs a latest oven. A crispier ciabatta would definitely made me give this place a 5 star rating. That being said, their baguette looked crispy.
