Best Mithai Shops in London for Diwali 2022 | Eater London

"Panji does the classics well — coconut barfi, gulab jamun, kesar peda — but it is something else altogether that captures the eye: the malai gajar barfi. This sweet looks like a miniature rectangular slice of carrot cake, but delightfully extra: A thick bottom layer of tender grated carrots cooked with milk and sugar, topped with malai (a kind of clotted cream), silver leaf, and rose petals." - Diya Mukherjee

Worst Bombay halwa , milk katakand and such thick jalebi , quality and taste has deteriorated so much worst I have ever eaten in my life . We got sweets for Janamastami and when eaten realised it’s just uncooked , filled with refined oil and extra sweet .Waste of money . Taking customers for granted . Would not buy or recommend to buy sweets from here ever . Home cooks making worst dishes in the name of Indian sweets . Money wasted very disappointing

We ordered kaju sweets from Panji Sweets, and they were absolutely amazing! The taste was rich and fresh, with just the right amount of sweetness. You can tell they use high-quality ingredients and put real care into their products. Definitely one of the best kaju sweets we’ve had —highly recommend!

Horrible sweets we got on janamstami full of oil uncooked flour (maida ) and lots of sugar . Smells horrendous of oil stored for ages .

While I was enjoying my jalebi from Panji Sweets and recording a video of myself eating it, the jalebi man suddenly came over. To my surprise, he was very rude and spoke in an unpleasant way. Honestly, he doesn’t seem to know how to talk to customers, and the whole interaction felt unnecessary. This place is filthy including the people working there. Avoid this and find other hygiene places.

One of the very few places, if not the only one, where one can find Ghewar and satisfy their cravings. Loved the ghewar and their samosas.

The package got delivered upside down and all the sweets were destroyed. The taste of sweets are good though. Kindly improve your delivery services.

Everything was wonderful. I lived in India for a few years so this was like a taste of home (I am not personally Indian nor have I any connection beyond friends there) but it does feel like home to me. Happy to recommend Panji

The jalebi and kachori chat were of poor quality, possibly due to the use of old, bad-smelling oil. We had to throw away all four boxes of the kachori chat. The staff were also very rude. I do not recommend this shop and suggest you try one of the other options in Southall instead.
