The Best Coffee Shops In Miami Beach

"Panther’s Sunset Harbour location is pretty big, with indoor and outdoor seating. They have a long, communal table inside that’s good for getting some work done - but you can also come here on a pretty day, sit outside, and chat with a friend over some very strong cold brew. They have a small selection of pastries as well, and there’s a lovely waterfront park right across the street where you can have a little picnic." - ryan pfeffer

Google
This was a great stop for coffee after a day at the beach. They have very good espresso drinks and a lovely atmosphere and overall good vibes. It’s a fun place to add to a beach trip and to catch up with people or to just relax. The drink was hot and creamy, and they also had a station of other things to add to drinks, including brown sugar. Seating is limited, and some of the chairs are pretty uncomfortable. Other than that, this place is awesome!

Google
Really good coffee sl chain. It's a bit toastier and roastier than your normal cup of coffee, but it's good. This location is a good size with plenty of seats, wifi, and good vibes for working. The almost $9 per cup is a bit tough though.

Savannah Murphy

Google
Ugly uncomfortable industrial vibe. $8 for a plain iced latte with regular milk.. served in plastic automatically. Lazy service, overpriced drinks. It’s not that hard not to scoff when I ask how many shots are in a drink. I’m pregnant and need to keep caffeine consumption under a certain amount. This is miami - there is good coffee everywhere. Not coming back.

Brandon Baker

Google
Some of the best coffee in Miami. Great location that’s a bit busier than the Wynwood location, but worth the wait for good quality coffee that’s smooth and not acidic. OK prices on average around $5 for an ice coffee which is ok considering you’re in Miami Beach. Good food and snack options including baked goods and also some cold drinks available. Great location and good staff here.

R E

Google
Good coffee but OVER PRICED a latte shouldn’t be $9.

Franco Sánchez

Google
The coffee is very good, but the place is a bit neglected, and the food doesn't seem like it was made by them.

Alex Lantz

Google
The coffee here was good and the vibe inside was dope. I enjoyed it. I don't think the staff was very engaging with the consumer like they should've been and the latte was served espresso poured over the milk/flavoring. The flavor was decent but the vanilla profile was very subtle if at all. I think putting the shot and flavor in first with the milk and ice after would have made the latte worth the almost $9 that I paid for it. (a croissant and latte came to just shy of $15)

Michael Glickman

Google
I’m in hospitality and I hope management pays attention to my comments *** your staff is too loud! They should use inside voices while talking to each other. *** have you considered offering a few healthy food options? *** WiFi is unreliable and frustrating to deal with. When I commented to staff that the Wi-Fi is down, they shrugged their shoulders and said we don’t control the Wi-Fi.

Yelp
Cute little coffee shop with delicious pastries in a nice neighborhood. The service was very nice.

Yelp
I stopped by for a couple bags of beans to bring back home from Miami and was so pleasantly surprised by this coffee shop! First off, you get a complementary drink, any drink, with the purchase of a bag of beans. I've bought many a beans but have never seen another shop that offered a FREE DRINK with your purchase. So generous and much appreciated! My fiancé got a lavender latte which I regret not getting, it was creamy, floral (but not too much like you're drinking a candle, iykyk), delicious and I got a cold brew which was also perfection. The shop itself was dark and cool with cool Edison bulbs and plenty of seating space. We had a great experience and would love to come back next time we're in town!

Yelp
Easy to find parking on the street to be able to walk up to this location. Plenty of merch and the store/cafe design is cool. There is seating indoors, but not an abundant amount. Staff wasn't very friendly but they weren't rude either. Just there and took our order and made our coffees. Barely any communication. Drinks were made in a decent amount of time though! My boyfriend had the vanilla cream classic cold brew as they were out of nitro. It was extremely bitter and had almost no flavoring at all. My friend had the west coast espresso and it was also bitter with a heavy amount of acidity from the lemonade hints. Most flavors of the coffee were covered by the acidity unfortunately. I had the iced espresso with milk and used macadamia nut milk. I also added vanilla syrup. I throughly enjoyed my coffee and had no bitter after taste. Everyone agreed that mine was the best one and the most redeeming of the three. A little disappointed from some of the coffees but glad we found one we all liked!

Yelp
Super expensive and small. Ham and cheese Quiche wasn't warm and pricey. Did like the Miami fog but was small and super expensive. Place was packed and all ages. Good location next to Barry's that a lot of people frequent after their workout class. Service was ok. Again just pricey for the items. Inside and outdoor tables if you want to sit and eat.
google avatar

Yelp
I know Miami has grown significantly more expensive over the past few years, however charging almost $7 for a small cold brew from an exceptionally unfriendly barista is pretty obnoxious.

Yelp
Bottom line: Panther Coffee delivers delicious coffee beverages and tasty eats. Quality here is key over lightning speed, and not the cheapest price around. A nice find in the Sunset Harbour area of Miami Beach. The Deets: I was informed about Panther Coffee when my friend and I rode past it after a trip to Publix in the Sunset Harbour neighborhood in Miami Beach. I walked over to them a few times on this visit and liked them for the most part, a good place to get a beverage and a bite during the day. The place itself is well decorated, a bit dark in the back but nice...I would not say touristy but a bit trendy in appearance. The lines were not too bad when I went, just a person or two at most in front of me. The people that took my orders did well with customer service, nothing out of the ordinary to report. By the end of my recent Miami Beach visit, they started to recognize me, in that they confirmed how I wanted my orders in comparison to past visits. For beverages, I got a cappuccino and some lattes, and all of them were delicious in flavor. They do coffee beverages well here. My favorite eats order there was the bacon/egg/cheddar biscuit sandwich, which looked anything but ordinary/plain and tasted great. They were out of that sandwich one visit so I opted for the ham and cheese croissant which was pretty good as well. Service time to get your items is not the fastest but for well made coffee shop items, blinding speed usually is not expected. Their service time is acceptable for the quality delivered. Most times, there was only room to sit at the long communal table and that's where I ate (the swivel like stool-seats that are attached to that long table and come out take a bit of getting used to, just a heads up). I can see that Panther Coffee may get a bit crowded once in a while as they appear to do what they do right. They are certainly not the cheapest coffee shop around but they are quality in my visits, and I am sure to visit again in the future.

Yelp
A whopping $11.50 for this big Fyre Fest vibe. We really have to do better than this.

Chris C.

Yelp
I didn't know their coffee contains gold in it...Lol it is really embarassing to admit that you just paid a small cup of coffee almost double from anywhere else and in a small space that has no atmosphere... Another hit and miss place good only for the snobs of South beach who enjoy being ripped off...
google avatar

Yelp
Coffee is not consistent. It really depends on the which barista is making it. 90% of the time, it's overextracted (bitter). Latte art is better than anywhere else on the beach, if you care about that for your pics. I'm never a fan when establishments add their own tip. HIDE the fact that it's incorporated and then give the option to add an additional 20+%. I mindlessly added 22% tip on top of the already incl. 15% and ended up paying $10.50 for two macchiatos. And still had to clean my own table. But it's a cool hangout spot, I guess.

Yelp
We were greeted when we walked in and there was no line so that was nice. Went with the nitro cold brew and it was good. Would come back.

Yelp
I was here 6 months ago and thought it was the best coffee in Miami. When I came back into town this time I checked the reviews to see if there were any other good options around, and I noticed this place had started getting some rough reviews. Disappointed I decided to give it a try anyway. Still the best coffee in town and both of the baristas working were super nice.

Yelp
Great coffee and location. Must try for any coffeehouse lover in south beach . Next to my favorite boxing gym in Miami

Yelp
My new go-to coffee spot! I was getting tired of Starbucks and their really loud music making it hard to work. This place is great for working and studying. They don't play their music too loud and it has a very chill vibe! There are enough outlets to go around. I would bring a jacket if you're planning on sticking around, it does get chilly! I got the iced vanilla late with oat milk and their almond croissant. The coffee is honestly the best I've ever had. Strong and not too sweet with the vanilla syrup. The croissant was the perfect addition too. I'm usually a chocolate croissant person, but wow it was warm w an almond filling and paired perfectly with my coffee. I can't wait to come back to try more things!!
google avatar

Yelp
This place is so cute. Char was the best and most welcoming barista. The Wi-Fi was great for working and the patio was nice and cool.
google avatar

Sarah R.

Yelp
Long lines and pretty slow service, but the modern, open wood and brick interior is pretty sweet. There's even a shopping container built into the wall with vines grown over it, and a very spacious and well lit interior. Great for studying or chilling. The macadamia nut latte was very good! Apparently their empanadas are solid too. Black coffee was meh.
google avatar

Yelp
This is quite possibly my favorite coffee shop in Miami, and overall the right location. It's perfect for that morning run from downtown, and provides excellent atmosphere for the midpoint of any work out. I always come here and get a few cups of water in the nice warm cup of single origin black coffee. Today I happen to taste the Kenya, which contents notes of flavorful bourbon, cereal, and toasted nuts. Their customer service is excellent and they still have contactless payment options which is excellent so you don't have to carry your wallet or purse with you on the run or bike ride.

Cody K.

Yelp
Staff was nice enough but $8.03 for a plain 12oz latte with regular milk is absolutely insane. I know it's south beach but other third wave cafes in expensive touristy places like Manhattan and San Fransisco are only charging $4-$5 for the same latte. Will never return, sadly.
google avatar

Yelp
Will never go back. This place was so uncomfortable for so many reasons. Freezing freezing cold. Unnecessarily cold. Was having a meeting with a friend and an older man comes in to read the newspaper and mutters profanities under his breath for mins and then tells us to shut up. I told staff but they said "oh yeah"? They did nothing about it. It was so awkward and disturbing. This place sucks.
google avatar

Evgeniy N.

Yelp
Panther, what happened to you? In the last, we liked your spot and cappuccinos, but today you disappointed us and absolutely sucked. Cappuccino is NOT supposed to be boiling hot. Really boiling hot? It is not supposed to boiling hot watered down latte. Too milky. Yes we paid $13 for two with tips and got -- see the photos. Sorry. But we will stick to the one on Brickell for now. Now I got go to the bathroom -- but, shoot, YOU BATHROOM IS OFF LIMITS to customers. BUMMER.

Lovia D.

Yelp
Owner sold, place has gone downhill. Coffee bitter. Bathrooms look like they belong in a prison. Prices up , cappuccino $7.94. UPDATE: 1.23.2023 bathrooms are out of order again for the 10th time in 10 months.

Yelp
Panther coffee is a local to Miami coffee joint that is franchising all around the greater MIA area. This review is really 3 1/2 star for the all of them combined.. But I feel bad giving them 3 stars. Their coffee is delicious.. all types. My issue is with price and service in some of the locations. Mostly tho my issue is with that pricing. It is the highest of any coffee shop I've been to in most of the United States. Is it really that worth it?!? Today I ordered a matcha green tea, or a dirty Matcha.. that's with some espresso shot put in over the ice first for some extra caffeine. It was more like a quarter shot of espresso. The barista put in 8-10 oz whole milk a teaspoon of matcha and shook it. It was gross. I'll have to burn off 400 calories on the elliptical later. Ugh. They have nitro, cold filtered, any coffee you can imagine.. any way you want it. They are using paper straws now too!! Yay environment!! The atmosphere is very cool. Better than Starbucks, notch below cafe del Cielo?!? Check them out if you haven't, coffee is great, just be prepared to pay a bit extra.

Yelp
dripping coffee tastes like vinegar - service has become so bad over the past years - the pre-charge tips, therefore, there is no need for staff to be friendly or valuable. the cappuccino is actually good - but again horrible attitude from most staff members... for 2 usd you can get awesome coffee and much better service at fresh market or at the new coffee place by the gallery Just on the other side of sardinia.

Yelp
The coffee Quality is OK. It's on the bitter side. That's not why am writing this review. Absolutely the worst customer service at a coffee shop that I have experienced in a long time. The employees making the coffee have a attitude. No smile / no good morning. They act like they were doing you a favor. I can go on and on but I think you have the point. On top of the service is very slow! The only reason they probably stay in business as their location. FYI they let you sit in the restaurant but say you can not use the bathrooms due to Covid ??

Yelp
Coffee, tea, bookstore and neurosurgery every day, weekend, months and years. Thanks you, Dr. Jacqueline Sacco, MD PhD

Yelp
Panther Coffee is located in Sunset Harbour right next to Ice Box featuring 8 different single origins made either Chemex or Clever. There is plenty of seating space by the windows or a more dimmed setting at the back. There are outlets on some tables. The staff is friendly at the ordering station but sometimes look miserable while making your coffee. We all have our days, right? Overall, this is a great spot to study, work, or grab and go. You'll get a much better cup than at a Starbucks but this is not Coava or Madcap coffee.
google avatar

Brian K.

Yelp
Went in this past Sunday, I could not believe how rude the staff was. I asked a questions about the beans and the one guys snarkly said it beans, we can grind then up if you need. When ask about the flavors. He just repeated the same way with and attitude and eye roll. Then as we waited for the coffee we were directed to stand in another spot arm pointing and directions in all (Asian lady with wierd white frames). Oh and God forbid you went to touch the milk and creamer that sits on the counter. They aggressively admonished one of us in a considening tone. No one every smiled at the us and were just pure nasty people. It took 15 minutes in a dark empty store to get 1 pour over. They need to find different jobs. Will not visit again.

Yelp
My new favorite coffee spot on the beach! I come here often with my girlfriend on her break from work and everything I've had here is excellent. The ambiance is that of a classy coffee and lounge where you can enjoy a cup of Joe, latte, espresso, etc. It has couches to lounge and tables with WiFi if you want to work on your laptop in a quiet relaxed atmosphere. Street parking is hit or miss so shoot for the garage in Sunset Harbor as your next best bet. My first visit I had a vanilla latte which is my drink of choice (picture below). The staff is friendly, attentive, and they remembered what I order after my first visit which is one of the reasons they are getting a five star review here. I've tried their regular coffee as well and it's delicious. I love this place!
google avatar

Lucia P.

Yelp
I've come to this Panther Coffee many times. Some days are better than others but overall you'll get a tasty beverage. Their espresso is very good. I'm a fan of their iced lattes, and chai lattes with oatmilk. Staff is nice and helpful
google avatar

Elina Y.

Yelp
Tried their CBD hydrogen coffee and it was definitely different from your typical cup of Joe but I did feel the surge from the CBD caffeine. The interior decor was clean and cute and customer service was on point as well.
google avatar

Ryna D.

Yelp
I'm generally a fan of Panther Coffee since their early days in Wynwood. So we stopped by at this location. The latte did not disappoint. But these South Beach prices.. yikes!! Even NYC have cheaper prices. Seriously.
google avatar

Mandee P.

Yelp
I loved the vibe of this coffee shop in Miami. I was in desperate need for some caffeine and wanted to do it right. I trusted the Yelp reviews with this one and we made the 30 minute walk from our hotel. Quality coffee is worth it! We walked in and I liked the items they had for sale such as the super soft tanks and backpacks. We ordered a cortadito to share. It's very small but strong so you can either slowly sip our share with hubby :) The coffee flavor was amazing and smooth. No flavorings, sugar, or any other frills needed. It's delicious as is. So glad we made this final stop before ending our trip. It was well worth the walk. Especially when you value and appreciate a very good coffee. If we find ourselves back in Miami in the future, we will surely make our way here again for a good cup of pick-me-up.
google avatar

Yelp
WOW. I cannot say enough good things about Panther Coffee. I literally visited Panther 3 times on my one week vacation in Miami Beach. Something about their regular cup of coffee is just so satisfying. That is how you know a coffee shop is good based off of their regular daily coffee and I must say that this is on my top 3 of best coffees I have ever had (and that is saying something because I've had coffee from some of the most popular places in the country). I also tried the cold brew which was very flavorful, full-bodies and not bitter like a lot of cold brews out there. If I lived in Miami Beach then I would be a regular here coming in several times a month. But for now, I just need to wait until I can return and get some of this delicious coffee they serve up here at Panther.
google avatar

Dipesh H.

Yelp
Panther Coffee started the trend in Miami for alternative cafes that take pride in the origins of coffee and tea. They roast their own beans sourced by the owners from the plantations they visit personally. This is evident in the staff's loyalty to customers and the brand. There's several locations now. The one on Purdy Ave is located in amongst a community of residents and locals who come here to work out in any of the vast variety of fitness studios. It's great people watching. Also, there's a community of entrepreneurs that work from here. So it's doing what cafes in Paris did 100 years ago when artists met and exchanged ideas. Started new movements in Art. These days it's about networking for start ups. You'll get a taste of the real South Beach here.
google avatar

Nida H.

Yelp
The staff here is ridiculous and rude. I have had macadamia unsweetened nut milk here At least 5 times. 3/5 times they have a problem serving it without mixing it with the sweetened macadamia nut milk. What's the difference if you charge $5-10 for a drink!!! One cannot sustain customers in this day who are health conscious or unable to have sweetened items (due to Health concerns). They are definitely not conscious or intentional about accommodating ppl with health restriction. At least not without insult and a fight! Sad. Why go to a space that has a huge issue serving what customers want. Not sure I understand how this works with business either. They carry unsweetened macadamia milk but refuse to serve it. No clue why as I would even pay more to get what I want. I come here after a long day as a first responder or sometimes in between and instead of a relaxing cup of joe I get service from little girls and boys who don't have a clue of reality (and it's not coffee). So Obnoxious! Like really that's the hard time I want after my real day helping and serving civilians! Places like aroma expresso coffee serve it without any hesitation and apparently panther is supposed to be more of a boutique place. I'm crossing it out! Ridiculous.
google avatar

Preston T.

Yelp
I'm sure the rent at this location is expensive, but that doesn't justify charging $6 for an 8oz latte and then adding an up charge for a flavor. Also, as a COVID precaution to "limit capacity" they have intentionally turned off almost all of their wall outlets to prevent people from sitting at tables. At first I thought the outlet at my table was broken when I sat down to do some work and enjoy my outrageously priced coffee, but the barista informed me that it was their tactic to limit capacity. My intention when going to a coffee shop is to have a cup and use the wifi to do some work, as is the intention for many people, and Panther has specifically eliminated that opportunity for their customers.

Yelp
My Mission: In search of the best americano in miami during my short 4 day stay. Panther review: La marzocco machine Mazzer grinder that was used for my east coast espresso beans Also have mahlkonig peak grinder After the grind they weigh on what appeared to be a brewista smart scale. Then distribution tool. Seems like scale and distribution tool are dependent on the barista prepping coffee. I went twice, first day they were done, second they were not and drinks def tasted different. Close to a 5* process if everyone was following a similar one. 5* equipment. Best I've seen so far on my short trip to miami - also visited la colada gourmet, vice city beans, and eternity coffee roasters. I had the east coast espresso at panther in the form of an americano that I requested in their smallest cups they have. Wife had a latte with some choc syrup. Wife's latte was good as was my americano. Not a 5* americano, likely just comes down the the flavor profile of the beans and my pallet... but best so far from the couple places I've tried in Miami. Will go back to try the west coast beans. Tried the west coast and really didnt like it. Stick to east coast, seems like the default tho.

Yelp
Panther coffee has always (imo) been a brand of quality from the delicious coffee to the Local baked goods that was equally delicious (which is not easy to achieve). As a local I frequent this special coffee sanctuary regularly, I honestly think it's the best option on the beach that anyone can find. With that being said I have to say, that the imposter of a Croissant that they are now serving is the equivalent of Val Kilmer's batman to Michael Keaton's. No where near as good as the original. I took one bite of this (what tasted like 5 day old bread that had been baked in an industrial microwave, not flakey at all, sugar filled train wreck. It reminded me of a horror movie where you go to see your best friend and in the end it's a disgusting Croissant instead (hollywood please don't make that movie). This abomination of what I can only assume is a cost saving measure totally goes against what I think Panther coffee was known for. Please Panther coffee do not begin to sacrifice quality for a quick buck. Sincerely, A concerned local Thank you for reading

Yelp
I was waiting for my charter to show up at the marina and decided to get something cold to drink in this hot Florida soon. I had an iced blue butterfly and it was absolutely delicious and so pretty to look at I will definitely be coming back again.

Yelp
Beautiful shop near the water. Perfect spot to do some reading with your yummy coffee

Yelp
Great espresso, the coffee tastes very high quality, so the beans must be great. Nice place to sit down and have a coffee.

Yelp
My husband and I decided to walk here for a mid-morning pick-me-up. We've heard great things so we thought we'd check it out. The inside has a chill vibe and there is some outdoor seating as well which is nice. I got a macchiato and my husband got an americano with chocolate flavor. Both of our drinks were delicious and the espresso was smooth. I love a macchiato because you can really truly taste the coffee and this was good coffee! It was also a very good price for these 2 drinks, the least expensive coffee shop we have been to thus far in Miami Beach.

Yelp
First off, let me just say that I am merely a women that masquerades as a coffee aficionado and I am quite far from the real deal. My favorite coffee is the drip coffee I make at home, so I mean... take this review with a grain of salt. Or don't. Your call. The decor and ambiance of this place is really sweet and cozy and I get the feeling that I'm a lot more hipster chic than I am upon entering. The darkened wooden walls and tinted windows give the interior a cool feel and it's the kind of place you'd see a lot of people on MacBooks typing away while wearing thick rimmed glasses. They have a lot of merchandise and novelty items on the wall with a picture of a coffee fruit branch and/or their name written along the front- anything from shirts to water bottles. I, myself, bought a burlap backpack 'because whatever it's my vacation sue me'. I ordered a latte and my husband ordered a cold brew. I'm normally one to sweeten my coffee with a few sugar cubes but I didn't even need to with this latte. The coffee was slightly sweet with a smooth finish that made me question all the other coffees I've been drinking all my life. Being a northern Virginia resident, I'm drinking coffee pretty often so I have a lot to base my opinion off of (I think). This is the kind of coffee place that I would suggest to a friend if they're in the area and I know that they'd be impressed, regardless of if they're a coffee snob or not. Overall, cool place. Only downside I would say is that there isn't too much available seating, but that's because of the people on their laptops... although it kind of adds to the hipster ambiance, so it could be worse.

Yelp
Never disappoints. I always make a point to come here every time I'm in Miami. Love seeing the coffee beans being roasted on site.

Yelp
A very nice and trendy place with great coffee and small bites. Good service. Atmosphere and seating is good for enjoyment, work, or study. Inside or outside seating. Including few couches.
google avatar

Yelp
This would be a perfectly respectful 5-star review if not for the fact that this tiny, but very tasty, cup of cappuccino cost like $5. Come on,man...

Yelp
Okay-- so.... I am a LONG time customer. I live nearby. I've been coming years and years. I stopped coming here because the black iced coffee/cold brew is unbearable. Unbearable. It's acidic, perhaps a few days old, and the baristas say "it is what it is." It's unfortunate, because this place is iconic and has been a miami staple. The food is good. I wish their coffee, the base of which most of their drinks are built on, tasted like coffee. I will happily change my review when the coffee is back to edible. I love panther as a company. I hope they go back to how they started off.

Paul F.

Yelp
Hey, if you like ok coffee from rude and uncaring barristas with attitude, well then this is the place for you. But if you prefer friendly service with a smile and excellent coffee, I would suggest going elsewhere.

Yelp
What a cool coffee place. Had cappuccinos with the hubby and niece and loved it. Not expensive and the atmosphere is super chill.
