Family-owned since 1979 and proudly old-school, with a separate wine bar and a menu spanning veal, seafood, and deep-fried pizza. Frequently cited in local roundups and still very much a neighborhood stalwart.

My husband and I tried this place on Saturday and were very disappointed to be honest. We ordered the Veal Marsala and the Beef Tenderloin. We started with the salads and did not like the canned mushrooms on top. They just did not serve the salad well. The Veal was very tender and well cooked, but the Marsala was very bland and looked very pale. I should have known I was in trouble when the waitress asked if I wanted capers with it. I have had Marsala in many places including Italy and this was not good at all. My husband got the Beef Tenderloin and the beef was good and tender but the sauce was not good at all and it too was bland. He tried added salt and pepper to help it, but it did not work. The red sauce on the spaghetti was nothing special or different. We thought with all of the good reviews this would be much better than what we received. The service was okay. We had to wait to be greeted at the table and while she was nice she was slow and not intuitive at all. The prices would be fair if they quality was there, but for the quality that we received the prices were too high. The tables are a little close together and when people take up more room than the chair allow it can get crowded. We will not be back due to the food and service and would not recommend.

My husband initially thought this was a pizza place and then we walked in and saw it was an Italian restaurant so we tried it out. Your sign on the door had me wondering if I would be accepted inside "dressed appropriately" Thankfully my tie-dye shirt I had on didn't run them off and we were welcomed in with a table. At first glance of walking in, no smell at all?? You're an Italian place we sat right near the kitchen and I couldn't smell anything. That doesn't give me good signs. I wanted to smell the fresh Italian foods being prepared. The vibe is darker, it doesn't feel Italian unless you look at the wall decor. I understand this is an older establishment. Just thought more. Expectations always let us down in some way. The staff was helpful, and the young man who helped refill the water was on top of it that night. Our waitress was helpful, but kinda of seemed annoyed that my husband took a bit to order. The food here is a little more $$ so be prepared. My husband ordered the meat platter with manicotti, meatballs, veal, spaghetti, ravioli, and sausage. He enjoyed the veal the most. The red sauce had good flavor, not super sweet. 8/10 I wanted to try the chicken Alfredo lasagna, good just hard to cut when there is a whole slice of grilled chicken sandwiched between the fresh pasta. Needed some more flavor, salt, or more garlic. Kinda greasy too. 7/10 the pasta did look fresh. The bread - tastes like it was frozen and heated up in the oven. Not my favorite Italian that I've eaten but for not having it in a while this place didn't disappoint too badly. Something different and new to try. Definitely a popular place so maybe it just didn't match our taste buds. Try it out for yourself.

Update from 1/22/25. Great visit, service and food. Been awhile since last visit. Got the last free standing table without a reservation. Took about 15 minutes to get seated then got abandoned at the table. That got taken care of after we asked and service after was great and very attentive. Now to the food. Lobster ravioli and a chicken with ravioli. Both were ok. The Alfredo sauce was a bit too thick and grainy tasting. Update to reply from the owner; getting up was to verify the sauce on the lobster ravioli as my wife does not usually eat cream sauce. This was her fault for not reading the menu. There was nothing wrong with the food enough to send it back, just in this case was not too our preference. Not saying in any way not to order these 2 items

Probably one of the best italian places in OKC metro. The cheese tortellini with Trieste sauce was incredible.

Google
I love this place! My husband grew up eating here - his parents actually used to work out of the “wine bar” side of here before it was a wine bar! So he would literally hop over all the time. I finally got to try it and wow - so good! The mozzarella sticks are decent, my husband loves them. I like the Papa’s salad and the minestrone is really nice. I absolutely LOVE the Trieste sauce - I didn’t get it the first time I came here because I had never had it but I tried my husband’s plate and was SOLD. Give me extra!!! Hah! Service is always really good. Love coming here!

Papa Dio's still gets it right. From the service to the food, they still make you feel right at home. The malibu peach ring is a must try. Corbin my waiter was magnificent, positive energy.

Google
I never have luck googling restaurants.. but I spun a round the map and found this restaurant and why not? Menu looked like good variety and they had been around awhile. So we made a reservation. It was great! The Alfredo you can taste the cheese, not just cream. The shrimp didn't appear to have even been frozen. I ordered two meatballs by themselves.. one of the best. It was soft and tender and good flavor! I can tell you the dishes visually look simple, but the flavor is not. All of our food was spectacular. We will be back! Finally a win with a Google search!

My husband and I tried this place for date night and oh...em...gee... AMAZING! I would've never thought to try this place because I'm not big on Italian food (so I thought) NOW I AM! The red sauce is 🔥 🔥🔥. It was the deal of the week on the Sweet Deals website and I'm so so glad that I bought the gift certificate. I had the Italian margarita and it was delicious. The service was top notch. The atmosphere was so nice. Thank you guys for helping with a successful date night ❤️❤️❤️. I can't remember the names of the waitress and hostess, due to me having 2 Italian margaritas LOL, but just know, they were absolutely amazing as well

Yelp
Excellent food. Great service and value for the money. Everyone is so nice & attentive! Not too loud where you have to talk over the noise.

Yelp
Love this place... the service is outstanding. As an appetizer we had Fried Ravioli so good. I had the Lobster Ravioli with a crab sauce & it was delicious! My husband had Spaghettini & Meatballs and he loved it. We love the Bar side of the restaurant because it is so Romantic.

Yelp
Service was great! Quick , friendly and they were on top of keeping the table stocked ed with bread and water. The food was a little underwhelming for the price. A plate of noodles for 25 bucks and an up charge of over five dollars because of a different sauce option. . The salad had canned mushrooms instead of fresh, which I found very odd. The restaurant looked like an attempt to be upscale, but they served your bread in a plastic basket like you get in a diner. And the waitresses were wearing jeans so it was a little bit juxtaposed. $80 for one margarita and two pasta entrées.. maybe that's typical, I just wasn't expecting it!

Yelp
Exceptional Italian food. Was wanting to order spaghetti and meatballs and they did not disappoint. The soups - a cream of chicken and a minestrone - were also excellent. The antipasto salad was amazing, only wish they had balsamic as a dressing (the Caesar, ranch and blue cheese were great though). The cheese breadsticks were also very good, and the spumoni ice cream and French silk pie were sublime - especially paired with an espresso plus heavy cream. Cool and cozy interior environs and service was top-notch. Highly recommended if you are looking for an authentic Italian restaurant in OKC!

Yelp
An institution. Long may she live. Beautiful in that understated way, great food, good service. Go.

Yelp
It has been a few years since dining here and I forgot how good the food was! Our server Ashlyn was delightful and answered all of the questions we had! The meal started out with the Baked Artichokes - if you love artichokes this is definitely your appetizer! My entree was the Chicken Piccata - it may have been one of the best ones I've tried! I had the Tomato Bisque and it was excellent! My wife chose the Wednesday Special AYCE - Spaghettini. It was a large plate so there was no need to go back. The one downside to the meal was no authentic bread! We merely got what looked like store brand rolls. Not going to hold that against a great meal. To finish off we shared the Creme Brûlée - fantastic! Highly recommend

Yelp
Atmosphere was pretty nice. The hostess (girl who got our water) was kind of rude and a little odd. For the price the Food was underwhelming, very bland. Decent place but not my favorite. Probably won't be back if I'm paying for it.

Yelp
Always great food and service. Joe and Tommy, bartenders are fun and engaging - make great cocktails. Candace, owner is always present and extremely friendly - checks on everyone's experience to make sure it is great. One of our all time favorite restaurants feels like family!

Yelp
The atmosphere is very romantic. Service was attentive, without being too pushy. Food was amazing.

Yelp
This is my first time here! I have heard of this place for decades. My husband and I decided to celebrate our 11th wedding anniversary Dinner here....and I am SO glad we did!!! Jordan is outstanding! The service is team oriented too! I LOVE that! Excellent ambiance! We did not have a reservation, and we're blessed to be seated! This place is POP-U-LAR! It was fun to see all the "regulars" say hello to each other! Now THATS a family restaurant!!! We had the calamari, papa salad, lobster ravioli, sausage lasagna, tirimisu, and cream Bru le.....and we shared ;) It was ALL amazing!!!!! They cater and do large to go orders too!

Matthew M.

Yelp
Food was way better than anticipated due to so many bad reviews. The clams and mussels appetizer was phenomenal, even for a landlocked state, the four dishes we tried were all delicious and none left over. Will be going again.

Yelp
Somewhere between meh and bleh. Firstly, the pricing here is insane. Most meals are $30+ per plate just as it comes. If you want an appetizer, wine, dessert, or entre modifications, you'll be looking well north of $100. Which, fine, some classy joints are worth the $ right, we've spent many times that amount before and felt it was justified. NOT this place. The lack of ambiance - think 1980s Pizza Hut, the lack of quality, think literal canned mushrooms and a single 1/2 slice of tomato and single pepperoni on their watery salad, just makes the notion of fine dining hilarious. Note the "blah blah blah dress code" sign on the door which I thought had to be a joke. They say online that their food is fresh made but I saw sooo many things come out of bags and cans in the kitchen and a table next to us got the Italian cream cake but it was too frozen for them to eat, so you be the judge of their claim. The rolls did look good, but we never got ours so I couldn't tell you for sure. Secondly, the environment isn't welcoming or comfortable. The joint is split into two and if you're part of the unlucky folks who have to sit on the kitchen side, you'll get to hear every conversation of every table around you as well as the kitchen because it's cramped. We literally heard the kitchen remark how we weren't touching our salads as well as the weeks gossip. To set the right expectation, this place is Boomer Mecca. There wasn't a soul in the joint that couldn't have also been there when it first opened a million years ago. Think - pre reboot Bellinis. I have a big feeling a large part of the reason they're still around is because the folks there are regulars, and like things how they "used to be back in the day." It's rare to find a place who is so ho-hum across the board, but boy did they knock it out of the park. I see the owner often replies with one of those passive aggressive non apologies that goes a little like, "But did you ask for me, the owner. But did you ask for rolls. But did you ask for refills. I would've made it right." Believe me, we'd still be there talking about things if we had attempted that. Also, we shouldn't have to do your job for you. Monitor your kitchen, monitor your staff, hell, come talk to the patrons yourself. The only relief we had was when the check came and we got to leave. I am sooo perplexed based on other reviews. This was so close to a 1 star rating, you have been warned. I am just thankful we opted for their special, I'd have been straight pissed if I had spent any more $ here.

Excellent authentic Italian dishes and wonderful ambiance atmosphere to enjoy a delicious meal

Yelp
This is the best restaurant in Oklahoma City for Italian food. Everything is made 100% fresh in house. The spaghetti marinara, The fettuccine Alfredo, The meatballs, and all the sauces are made here! This restaurant has been here for over 25 years! They have a family dining side and then they have an adult side. There's also a one-of-a-kind hand built bar in the adult dining side. The staff and the owners are so professional and polite they make you feel like you've come into their home and not a restaurant. The portions are huge. The place is extremely clean and the colors are vibrant and make you feel like you've stepped into little Italy. This is absolutely the one and only place I recommend for going for homemade Italian food.

Yelp
I made reservations here for me and three of my friends for last night (Thursday) at 7:15 p.m. Upon entering the restaurant I didn't realize how crowded it would be (especially during this ongoing pandemic) but this place was packed! So, I am glad I made reservations in advance and requested to sit in a corner away from other people. This place does not enforce masks, but all four of us wore masks when entering and felt more comfortable because we were given the "family dining table" in a corner that had a booth end seating as well as chair seating on the other side of the table. Service: Incredible! Our waiter was super friendly, and towards the end of our meals, the owner came by to check if we needed anything and asked how we were all doing. So courteous and caring! We truly appreciated that. With how busy this place was that night, we received our drinks and all our food in a timely manner. We were not waiting on anything for that long! Exceptional service. The management is doing an amazing job. Ambience: There are table seatings with chairs in a small space, and the ambience is very romantic with dim lighting and dark interior. Everything was very neat and clean, nothing out of place. Food: All four of us LOVE Italian food, all meals cheese, especially. We ordered SO MUCH!! The portion sizes are very generous, so I think the pricing was justified. It is what I would expect to pay, especially for high-quality at a local restaurant! They also do offer A La Carte items so if you are wanting a little bit of everything, you can totally do that! Appetizers: *Dinner Rolls & Butter* These fresh and hot classic dinner rolls were so delicious. We knew we were going to be loading up on carbs with pasta for our meals, but that didn't stop us from eating a LOT of bread last night. Our table also had parmesan cheese, olive oil, and balsamic vinegar to make our own dipping oil, which I did and it tasted amazing with the bread! *Garlic bread* - yummy. *Italian bread*- super yummy and pillowy clouds-soft! *Fried Mozzarella* served with marinara and ranch dipping sauce, to die for. So good and cheesy deliciousness. Meals: *Lobster Ravioli* These were amazing! The raviolis were filled with cheese and a minced up lobster, and the sauce with the ravioli was an Alfredo and lobster sauce. I would give this an 8/10. I would have preferred if the filing to be a bit more creamy, but it was still good! *Cheese Ravioli* My friend ordered this and the raviolis were HUGE...like huge like the size of my hand huge haha! covered in lots of cheese and red tomato sauce. Super yummy, I did have a taste of this. *Chicken Alfredo Lasagna* I was debating on ordering this one, but I think I will next time because my friend ordered it and said it was REALLY tasty! all the layers looked so perfect and dense, also Alfredo sauce looked perfect and creamy. *Shrimp Diablos (Spicy level 3!)* Another friend of mine ordered this dish: shrimp sauteed in olive oil-simmered in marinara sauce & mushrooms, served over pasta. I do like shrimp, so I would try this. She said it was so good! *Fried Pizza* I didn't try this because I was so full from everything already, but my friends were raving over this. I need to try this next time for sure! It looked like a personal sized pizza with a super soft golden crust....just wow. *Manicotti A La Carte* one of my friends ordered a side of Manicotti and we all tried a little bite of this. It was too good. Ricotta filling was super creamy and melt-in-your mouth good. The sauce is incredible, as well. Dessert: Tiramisu: It was my friend's birthday last Friday so we all tried some Tiramisu! The mascarpone topping on this was so delicious and decadent, and the layer of lady fingers were incredibly soaked in the espresso liquid. Still very satisfying. Again, we could not finish this because we ordered so much food!! Drinks* *Italian Margarita* me and one of my friends ordered this drink. A margarita with amaretto sour. YUM!! I like that they did not add too much ice and it wasn't overly sweet. It was the perfect amount of tequila as well. I will definitely order this again the next time I come here! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Papa Dios sells their red sauce at many local grocery stores including Uptown Grocers and Homeland! So good to know. If you present your receipt at the restaurant they will give you $$ back :D I can't wait to come back to this restaurant and try more dishes. The whole menu sounded so mouth-watering! Follow me on my food Instagram, @deeps.eats to see more of my food adventures!

Yelp
We made Saturday night reservations for the bard side of the restaurant. When we arrived we were seated immediately at a pretty corner table. The setting was very nice, romantic, dim lighting, with art on the walls. I loved the tabletops, they looked like marble, beautiful. The service was excellent! We did not have to wait for anything and the hostess, our server, and I believe the owner, all checked on us, chatted with us ( not intrusive at all) and made us feel very welcome. We started with the fresh, warm dinner rolls & butter. There were also ingredients for dipping oil on the table and we made good use of them! Skipping the appetizers we went straight for the entrees. We ordered the Chicken Del Greco and the 5 Cheese Ravioli Bolognese. Both came with a "Papa Salad", very good! Portions were very generous and both dishes were delicious!! We did have both wine and a cocktail with our dinner. The wine was a perfect choice and the Gin & Tonic? A generous pour in a nice sized tumbler. Yes, we had dessert! We ordered the Italian Creme Cake. Wow! Very large slice and sooooooo good!!! Although we tried to finish it we did leave a little on the plate. Overall we both loved our experience and feel we may very well have found our new favorite Italian restaurant!

Yelp
I/we LOVE Papa Dio's. We've been there several times. I can't believe I haven't reviewed this wonderful place! So, I have had their Sausage Lasagna, Lobster Ravioli, and many other wonderful dishes. My latest choice was Fried Pizza. All of their Fried Pizzas are small---7". I chose the combo: Pepperoni, Mushrooms, Onions & Black Olives, thick red and mozzarella cheese. (from the menu). Shannon, our server explained that it came with powdered sugar. YES! POWDERED SUGAR! It's meant to be used with the crusts of the pizza at the end of your meal as a dessert. I absolutely loved this pizza. We had so much fun at this meal. I stole delicious bites of my husband's Manicotti Florentine which had it's own brand of yum. I mentioned Shannon above. She was great. She was patient, kind, and very helpful with our questions and faux pas---like thinking the powdered sugar was parmesan. But Shannon wasn't the only one who visited our table. Candace, the owner, came by several times. As a matter of fact, several came by several times to check on us. Our water glasses were never empty, and anything we wanted arrived within minutes. What well-run family operation!

Yelp
Went there for the 1st time and I have to say from people who have followed my reviews frequently, Papa Duo's is one of the most excellent places to eat. The staff and food is excellent! Made reservations by reading other reviews and well noted. Had the JSW ( hope in spelling it correctly) Spaghetti with Italian sausage, veal steak, ravioli, lasagna, and meatballs, everything is more then I expected as far as the food, staff and restaurant atmosphere. The price was not high compared to the service and excellent food, taste, and quality of other places, especially since it's not a chain, Home made. Met the owner Candice and she was the most happy and wonderful woman I've met who loves her job and customers. Highly recommend this above all the others.

Yelp
The service was ok - we felt really rushed even though they still had another hour of being open. The food was AMAZING. We were so impressed with what we ordered!

Yelp
People are so nice. Service is great. Atmosphere is cozy. Food is delicious. Fried pizza was a favorite.

Yelp
Absolutely delish! I was craving Italian tonight, and Papa Dios, and they certainly did not disappoint! The wait staff seated me near the bar, which is okay but I got an earful of a conversation with some wine living, a friendly folk nearby. The wait staff was really friendly and they brought me some bread and a glass of red wine, made by 19 Crimes. It was full bodied and this little Italian heart enjoyed it immensely. I ordered the breaded Veal Parmigiana and it delivered bold flavors, hot and fresh and delicious! It hit that crave spot for sure! And I'll be back with my Italian mother who would adore this place!
google avatar

Darren K.

Yelp
Another great night and meal. Veal parm paired with a merlot was great. Another wonderful date night evening!!

Gregory B.

Yelp
The prices here have gotten out of control. $35 for chicken alfredo is laughable. The prices are higher than places in NYC and Chicago that have much higher costs than a place in a strip mall in OKC.

Yelp
Incredible and authentic! If you love incredible portions in a welcoming, cozy environment...you're going to love the experience of the real comforting Italian food at Papa Dio's! This is a yes

Pretty good pizza... got it to go, so I didn't get the inside experience...quick cooking... would like to try other menu items for sure!!

Yelp
We had reservations for a Saturday night. All four of us enjoyed our meals. So delicious and very friendly staff! Highly recommend for dinner!
google avatar

Tania R.

Yelp
We came on a Saturday to celebrate a birthday with 7 of us in the party. Definitely recommend getting reservations on a Saturday night because it was packed. The restaurant is smaller, when it's packed, you definitely can feel it being packed. Probably didn't help that we sat at the very front. 2 ordered the JRW which was definitely a TON of food. Probably worth 2 meals at the very least. I ordered the chicken lasagna Alfredo which was pretty good. The Alfredo was very creamy and buttery. Another ordered the chicken cacciatore and thought it had good flavor. Another had the chicken Alfredo but thought it was just satisfactory. The fried pizza had a lot of great melty cheese. Overall, the meal was fine. Which is why 4 stars instead of 5. Wasn't the best Italian ever, but the service was definitely great. The owner came around multiple times to make sure everything was fine which was awesome to see. They also pack up your left overs which is always a nice touch.
google avatar

Allyson C.

Yelp
Our neighbors recommended Papa Duo's and we'd tried to get in a couple of times prior to today, but this place stays busy! We were seated in the wine bar, which is really cozy. Zoey and Candace and the entire staff were all very friendly. We started with the calamari. My husband and I both really liked the tang of the cocktail sauce. The sausage lasagna was gigantic and absolutely delicious. My husband thoroughly husband enjoyed the JRW. Our friends ordered the vegetable lasagna and one of the shrimp dishes and they were both really pleased with their dinners as well. I foresee many future dinners at Papa Dio's.

Yelp
Quarter a cup of noodles? Cool. Do better please. Service is good Ambiance is good Class Chicken Alfredo
google avatar

Romas R.

Yelp
Service was great! Nice ambiance. The food was good but way over priced. My wife and I both had the chicken alfredo. The sauce was a too loose. Was very disappointed.

Erin S.

Yelp
Truly one of the worst meals I've ever had. It had been over a decade since I had Papa Dio's last so I figured it was time to give it another shot. The parking lot is always packed so I took that as a good sign. I am now convinced that all of those cars belong to the employees. I got the chicken Alfredo which was a mind-blowing $35. The chicken was a small, frozen breast complete with fake grill marks. The sauce was broken by the time we received it and was sour. I chalked that up to them using too much lemon and just hoping that the flavor wasn't because the cream had gone bad. I don't know who they think they are to charge as much as they do. And the $30+ per entree doesn't even include free bread. If you're looking good Italian food, there are plenty of other options around town. Skip this place.

Angela R.

Yelp
Had dinner here last night. Just blown away! Just came back from a Florida vacation recently and wanted clams that were comparable. This restaurant knocked it out of the park with the food and amazed me with the way the service was above and beyond. Make sure you don't miss this place! Enjoyed meeting the chef too!

Richard B.

Yelp
I can't believe some people actually like the food here because it's absolutely atrocious. Hadn't been in years and now I remember why. Two of us got bruschetta and calamari for appetizers along with a glass of white wine and an old fashion. The toasted baguettes on the bruschetta were stale and inedible, and the tomato mixture on top tasted like absolutely nothing. Aside from the calamari not having tentacles, the best part, the marinara sauce they served with it tasted like absolutely nothing. It's like they opened a giant can of tomato puree and served it. The calamari was overcooked and chewy. The white wine had obviously been open for several days as it had a distinct vinegar flavor to it and the old fashioned literally came out as basically bourbon on the rocks with a cherry garnish. I don't even remember what we ordered for entrees because we canceled them and left to go somewhere else. Service was really slow too. Almost 15 minutes to get our drinks and almost 20 minutes to get our appetizers. After talking with friends and family after our experience they all said the same thing. That's why they don't go there, the food isn't good, the service is slow, and for what you get it's incredibly expensive.

Yelp
As a New Yorker I have the luxury of surrounding myself with authentic Italian food. I would had never thought Oklahoma City would have a real deal Italian restaurant, but I was wrong, this place is legit! The place has been operating here for over 40 years. I was told the owner Bill Bonadio is a transplant from the East coast and as a side note, a huge fan of Yodel Drake cakes. My friends told me to bring some next time since they don't sell them in the Midwest, Chef Dio would greatly appreciate it. First and foremost I have to comment on the service. Our server Gabrel, yes, it's spelled correctly without the "I" was Awesome! Gabrel was knowledgeable of the menu, friendly, and flowed our dinner service perfectly. overall a Super guy and told us has been working here since he was 7 years old, Wow! they start them young here in OKC! Mom you should be proud of your son, you raised a Gentleman. The food here is outrageous! Outrageously delicious that is. I know things are bigger in Texas, but Oklahoma got you beat here, good Lord the individual portion sizes can easily feed 2 to 3 people! We came as a group of 7 and ordered Calamari fingers, meatballs, chicken and veal parmigiana and sausage lasagna. The calamari was lightly breaded and tender, the meatballs were moist and dense nestled in a sweet marinara sauce. The whole group raved about their meals but I can only speak about my chicken cutlet parmigiana in trieste sauce. The chicken was pounded flat and lightly breaded and fried perfectly making for a juicy piece of chicken. The trieste sauce was sweet, savory, light and creamy and should be licensed out to help save other mediocre Italian restaurants. The trieste sauce can be summed up in one word, perfect. They posted new operating days and hours starting February 20, 2019 since the chef/owner Dio is semi retiring. The chef also linked YouTube videos on his restaurant's website showing us how to prepare some of his signature dishes. If you're a fan of Italian food this is definitely the go to spot. Can you find a more Authentic Italian restaurant in the Oklahoma City area other than Papa Dios? FUGGHEDABOUT IT!!!

Yelp
I've gone to this beautiful restaurant a couple times now with my boyfriend. The food is always so delicious, and you can tell they work hard preparing it with great ingredients. They also have an extensive wine selection and great bar. This restaurant not only brings authenticity, but it also brings much needed culture here in Oklahoma. Support your local businesses by going to this restaurant!

Yelp
The food was so good. The best and most authentic Italian food I have had in years. It's a little pricey so keep that in mind if your taking the kiddos. The atmosphere was amazing and the staff was outstanding. The owner stopped by our table and talked for a minute. We will be coming back again.

Yelp
I along with three of my friends, had the pleasure of dining here this past Wednesday evening. We had a table reserved in the bar side of the restaurant. We were immediately seated. Then our wait staff person arrived. After introducing herself, She told us they were short staffed, but they would do everything possible to provide timely service. We never noticed. The service was excellent. We enjoyed 4 different entrees each of our selections were 5 Star. The wine list was very nice. The topper was the in house made Carrot Cake. It was unbelievably Good. I can hardly wait to return to this great neighborhood style Italian restaurants. 5 for Papa Dio's. Wayne Rutherford

Yelp
Mmmmm ,,,where to go when it's almost my bday? If your craving Italian, look no further than this place on N May. We are fortunate enough to live nearby so it's a no brainer for us, ,anyway on the food..... I started off with a nice n spicy bloody mary was a great choice , went well with the hot mini loaves of bread that came out , ordered the girls a fried ravioli which they demolished. I'm not really a fan so I just had the bread, on this visit I tried the spinach, mushroom and onion lasagna with a papa salad / and ceasar dressing.. The salad never disappoints, always fresh and crisp and dressing on the side so you can add to your liking, at this point I'm watching the other tables get their food and I'm lusting after their entrées,lol After what seemed like forever( not really) our food came out,,,woohoo !!! Sorry but all I took pis of was my own food but dang they sure were good, nice and cheesy ,great pasta texture and full o veggies,,almost healthy I think !! This place knows how to make pasta and it shows , it's always been consistent and we've been coming here for years..thanks Papa Dios, another excellent food experience!!

Yelp
The food is out of this world. The service was ok, we kept getting skipped over by our server while they table touched everyone around us at least 3 times. But I will definitely go back because the food is soo good! The bread is fresh also. We have the crab ravioli and the tortellini in trechi sauce.!

Yelp
Went here the evening before Thanksgiving! Had a reservation, it was pretty empty at first and ended up being packed. Food was amazing, a lady I'm assuming the owner came by to chat with us. Super nice and so down to earth! Will 100% come back to eat here.

Yelp
I love this place! Our appetizer, shrimp on toast, was divine, chicken piccata and chicken lasagna with Alfredo was the best I've ever eaten. The Chardonnay Butter was so refreshing and light then we closed dinner off with lemon mousse with lady fingers. An amazing dinner we enjoyed tremendously. Papa Dio's has been in business over 40 years. You must give this place a try if you haven't already and if you have go back again. You will be glad you did.

Yelp
bussin bussin no cap. The food is great. I recommend getting the fried pizza. They give you a cup of powdered sugar to dip your crust in and it tastes like a funnel cake. Would recommend

Yelp
Excellent Sausage lasagna and crème brûlée. Service was consistent and superb. Owner visited customers regularly.
