Yelp
Papa Kitchen took over Ong Lam Bistro with the same familiar layout, but a much broader Viet-inspired menu (plus vegan options). Staff were hospitable and welcoming.
The Super Bowl Pho was generous with noodles and broth, tender slices of meat & rib, fresh herbs & lime on the side, though no hoisin sauce available at the table. The Mắm Tôm Temptation stood out for its fried sausage, fish cake, eggroll, blood sausage, and tofu with shrimp paste sauce. Bold and fun at first, but the pungent & salty flavor became a bit much by the end. Would recommend pairing with other sauces, preferably sweet & spicy, if available.
Two dishes with tax/tip hit $72, which feels pricey. Happy Hour may be the better move. Overall, their creative dishes make this an interesting place.
