The 15 Best Restaurants At Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport

"T-Gates, open at 7am In the predawn hours, nothing is more annoying than TSA agents yelling about shoe removal. Sprinkle in some hunger pangs, and it’s the perfect recipe to lose your cool and wind up as the next star of an airport meltdown viral video. To make it through security line hell, just focus on the breakfast sandwich that’s waiting for you at Papi’s in Concourse T. Perfectly crusty Cuban bread holds fluffy eggs and your choice of bacon, ham, or chicken sausage. Just add hot sauce, and it’s the Mona Lisa of airport breakfast options. And if your sweet tooth never sleeps, snag their decent french toast, drown it in syrup, and get energized for a long day of travel. " - demarco williams, nina reeder, juli horsford, jacinta howard

Latinx-Owned Restaurants In Atlanta

"With a 20-year presence and five metro Atlanta locations, Papi’s is a go-to for Cuban cuisine. And we have special love for their airport venue in Terminal T, which welcomes us with open arms (and a bar) as soon as we’re past security. The specialty cocktails fill up an entire page of the menu, so when you’re in the mood for a drink that tastes like it should have a mini umbrella in it, this is your spot. Order their cheesy cuban on crusty bread with tangy pickles, then snag a window seat overlooking the domestic terminal drop-off and high five yourself for avoiding that mess by taking MARTA. Papi's Cuban Grill - Review - Hartsfield-Jackson Airport - Atlanta - The Infatuation

"When you finally make it through the TSA lines and have an emotional reunion with your shoes, Papi’s in Terminal T will welcome you with open arms (and a bar). The specialty cocktails fill up an entire page of the menu, so when you’re in the mood for a drink that tastes like it should have a mini umbrella in it, this is your spot. They do an American breakfast in the morning with standards like omelets and french toast, but it's always a good plan to hit it for lunch for Cuban cuisine staples like their cheesy pork sandwich on crispy bread with tangy pickles. Sit at the bar or snag a window seat overlooking the domestic terminal drop-off and high five yourself for avoiding that mess by taking MARTA." - Juli Horsford

Kind of weird food…specifically the jerk chicken didn’t taste anything like jerk chicken. Super salty and some hard to identify spices…but not what Jamaican jerk chicken tastes like. The beef empanada was good, though.

I stopped in here at the Hartsfield Jackson Airport quickly trying to get dinner 10 minutes before my flight started boarding. The lady assured me it would come out before then even though the restaurant was pretty busy. I went with the Rey Cuban sandwich she recommended and empanadas (1 chicken 1 beef) because the customer in front of me recommended it. The food came out in about 10 minutes so I was able to make the flight in time and it tasted wonderful. The Cuban tasted like an authentic Cuban, seasoned French fries with a good crispy outside like Checkers fries. The empanadas were tasty as well, tasted a lot better with the dipping sauce. My only critique was there could have been more flavors/ spices in the meat seasoning like ones I’ve had previously. The cafe itself was a nice vibe completely different from other areas in the airport. The bar was the center of the restaurant and it was packed and lovely I only wish I had the time to sit and order a drink. Worth a trip if you are flying through this airport.

Love the food as I have been here a couple of times, but this last visit the restaurant service was not cool. The restaurant seemed as a tornado hit it. The staff were arguing amongst themselves and were just basically rude and aggressive. And the restaurant was a mess. Yet you had a lot of staff not moving to clean up. Note the food is awesome, but if I were a first timer, I may not come back.

Not sure why how much I spent matters but I have been eating at Papis for years. Different locations and never have I ever experienced the POOR customer service and burned empanadas ! Watery Papi sauce just terrible. I have never encountered this! When I walked in there were several dirty tables one of the staff members yelled out “sit a a clean table”. Not we will clean that give us a minute so I decided on a to go order. I should have just left. Empanada sampler that I always purchase HORRIBLE!!!! If you are reading this about to buy your food, Bojangles is 50 feet to your left It’s not Cuban but perhaps the customer service and the food will be better. Did I mention with my luggage I had to go back and ask for NAPKINS!!! shameful. I’m totally turned off from this experience!

I want to sit at the bar, but I was welcomed with what type of cocktail you would like. I don't drink so I advised the guy water. He goes to tell me that I can't sit at the bar unless I had a cocktail on my bill. That took me back bc I'm like huh? You MAKE people purchase cocktails to sit at a bar? Wow. Once I moved, I couldn't find a clean high top table so I sat down at a dirty one until the guy came over to clean it. I purchased the jerk chicken, rice, black beans, and plantains. When was brought out, it didn't look anything like jerk chicken. More like roast beef! At first, I didn't want jt bc I wanted white rice and not yellow and of course the chicken looked like beef. As I ate the meal, I felt something weird in my mouth with the food. It was aluminum foil. Thank god I didn't swallow it, but yeah I lost my appetite and left. This experience was the first and last with them!!

This was a regular stop for me. Unfortunately it is now being replaced by a Tex Mex chain. The service in the bar was great. I’m sure I can get a double scotch neat somewhere else, but not the great Cuban sandwich, both without even placing an order. Empanadas were good too.

I second the other customers that service here at this restaurant is beyond rude. I sat myself down and had to approach the server during a non-busy time. She seemed unfriendly and facial expression as black as charcoal when I approached her to ask if I can seat myself at the table by the window. I ordered the fish tacos and a glass of prosecco rose but she returned to let me know that the bar ran out of the prosecco rose. She checked my ID but I observed that she was inconsistent with the ID verification towards select customers. There was no follow-up on satisfaction and her attitude gave me the impression as if I was an inconvenience. Spend your money elsewhere!
