Best Restaurants for Soup in Atlanta | Eater Atlanta

"This Cuban-Caribbean eatery brings bold island flavors to five metro Atlanta locations. The menu features three soups: a hearty ajiaco with chicken, pork, and root vegetables; a classic black bean soup; and a Cuban-style chicken soup with a spicy kick, shredded roasted chicken, and some noodles. Each bowl is served with fresh toppings like onions, tomatoes, lettuce, and cheese, along with buttery Cuban bread perfect for dunking." - Eater Staff

The 15 Best Restaurants At Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport

"T-Gates, open at 7am In the predawn hours, nothing is more annoying than TSA agents yelling about shoe removal. Sprinkle in some hunger pangs, and it’s the perfect recipe to lose your cool and wind up as the next star of an airport meltdown viral video. To make it through security line hell, just focus on the breakfast sandwich that’s waiting for you at Papi’s in Concourse T. Perfectly crusty Cuban bread holds fluffy eggs and your choice of bacon, ham, or chicken sausage. Just add hot sauce, and it’s the Mona Lisa of airport breakfast options. And if your sweet tooth never sleeps, snag their decent french toast, drown it in syrup, and get energized for a long day of travel. " - demarco williams, nina reeder, juli horsford, jacinta howard

Latinx-Owned Restaurants In Atlanta

"With a 20-year presence and five metro Atlanta locations, Papi’s is a go-to for Cuban cuisine. And we have special love for their airport venue in Terminal T, which welcomes us with open arms (and a bar) as soon as we’re past security. The specialty cocktails fill up an entire page of the menu, so when you’re in the mood for a drink that tastes like it should have a mini umbrella in it, this is your spot. Order their cheesy cuban on crusty bread with tangy pickles, then snag a window seat overlooking the domestic terminal drop-off and high five yourself for avoiding that mess by taking MARTA." - nina reeder, demarco williams, juli horsford, jacinta howard

Papi's Cuban Grill Review - Hartsfield-Jackson Airport - Atlanta - The Infatuation

"When you finally make it through the TSA lines and have an emotional reunion with your shoes, Papi’s in Terminal T will welcome you with open arms (and a bar). The specialty cocktails fill up an entire page of the menu, so when you’re in the mood for a drink that tastes like it should have a mini umbrella in it, this is your spot. They do an American breakfast in the morning with standards like omelets and french toast, but it's always a good plan to hit it for lunch for Cuban cuisine staples like their cheesy pork sandwich on crispy bread with tangy pickles. Sit at the bar or snag a window seat overlooking the domestic terminal drop-off and high five yourself for avoiding that mess by taking MARTA. " - Juli Horsford

Papi’s Cuban & Caribbean Grill - Review - Midtown - Atlanta - The Infatuation

"When your ticket scalper was 45 minutes late to your meet-up and you need a quicker, but still sit-down, option before the show starts, head to Papi’s. The Cuban steak sandwich with potato sticks is just as good as you’d expect from a sandwich with fried potatoes on it, though you can’t go wrong ordering mojitos and a bunch of snacks for the table - like their stand-out empanadas and the tostones supremos, which are basically loaded nachos with plantain chips instead of tortilla chips." - Neal Cohen

Google
Amazing Cuban food! Everything was spot on and I think it’s the best Cuban sandwich I’ve ever had. It was so tender and delicious. The beans and rice were so flavorful and the sweet plantains were amazing. Did I mention the mango shake?!? 🤣🤣😜😜👯‍♀️👯‍♀️✌🏽✌🏽💜💜🙏🏽🙏🏽🎉🎉

Google
Our first time at Papi’s and it did not disappoint. My wife and I usually go to Mary Mac’s Tea Room when we’re in this part of Atlanta. Wanted something different and glad we chose Papi’s. I had the Papi’s Shrimp Bowl special which was delicious. My wife had a traditional Cuban sandwich, which she enjoyed. She said the meat was fresh and tender. Good service overall. Highly recommend.

I was not impressed by anything that I ordered. Nor were the kids. The customer service was great though and the restaurant was clean and comfortable. I loved the natural juices offered.

Absolutely Exceptional Experience – Above and Beyond Service! I cannot say enough great things about our experience at Papi’s Cuban and Caribbean Grill Midtown! We hosted a graduation dinner for what was supposed to be 16 guests—but turned into 19 by the time we arrived—and the team handled it all with grace, warmth, and professionalism. From the very beginning, the service was excellent. I had made a reservation for 8:30 PM, expecting the graduation ceremony to wrap up on time. But as luck would have it, my niece was seated on the very last row, and the event ran over. I called ahead to let them know we’d be running behind, and the manager, Edwin, could not have been more understanding or accommodating. He assured me they’d be ready—and they were! When we arrived, Edwin had a beautiful section set aside for our group, and his staff welcomed us with kindness and energy. Despite the size of our party and the delay, everyone—from the servers to the kitchen staff—handled everything with genuine hospitality. Edwin, in particular, was a joy to work with. Warm, personable, and incredibly helpful, he made us feel like family. The food was flavorful and authentic, the atmosphere festive, and the service top-tier. If you’re looking for a place in Midtown to host a special occasion—or just enjoy a fantastic meal with wonderful people—look no further than Papi’s. Thank you, Edwin and team, for making our night unforgettable!

Google
By far best Cuban food I've had outside of Lil Havana. Chicken empañadas were great but the papi's jerk chicken bowl...chefs kiss. I'm definitely coming back.

As always, a nice culinary experience! Flavor, good service, nice people ! Highly recommend! Vaca Frita and of course el Cafe con leche y azuquita!

Yelp
I love this place and I haven't been here in over a decade but I'm glad to know that it's hasn't changed much. The food is still delicious and the service is on point. On the downside the inside hasn't changed much either. It looks old and a little dingy. Everything you see pictured was delicious and definitely worth trying. My only criticism on the food is that the crabcakes were mostly filler and not much crab. They were still good but if you're looking for a meaty crabby crabcake, this isn't it.

Yelp
I went with my son to eat at Papi's in Midtown on Ponce De Leon. The service from the moment we walked in was excellent. We were warmly welcomed by the manager, Edwin, who quickly offered us a table. The food is exquisite--we ordered churrasco, and it was delicious and very tender (it practically melts in your mouth). The "Cienfuegos" cocktail was very tasty and refreshing. The waitress's (Seleys) service was outstanding; she came to the table several times to make sure everything was okay. I 10000000% recommend this place for a great meal!

Yelp
I've heard of Papi's and it has taken me years to try it. I did not physically go to the restaurant location. I was at a friend's condo in Buckhead & we ordered via DoorDash. It was supposed to take about 40 mins. First thing I noticed was the smallest portion ever for the Cuban sampler. I was immediately disappointed. It looked bland & had one green dipping sauce. Next, the empanada sampler was pretty tasty & decent portion. It also looked unseasoned & the shredded meat inside of the chicken one was dry. I simply don't desire to try this place again. Sorry, kinda not sorry!

Yelp
Would've really liked to give a 3.5. I've been here a countless number of times. Papi's is inconsistent--sometimes it's so delicious and other times, it's disappointing. On the plus side, it's always fast and pretty affordable. Most entrees are under 20.00 and come with rice, beans, plantains, salad, and a protein or veggies. Parking is horrible--the surrounding lots are paid parking, the street parking is paid too, so you'll have to chance it or park further down the street into the residential area. This recent trip prompted me to review because of the poor customer service. I placed a pickup order. When I arrived, there was one man on the phone and a young woman at the kitchen window, talking and laughing with one of the chefs. I saw my food on the rack. The woman looked me in my eyes twice and even checked her phone, then went back to laughing with her coworker. A quick "do you have a pickup order?" Would've allowed me to get my food and be gone. That was unacceptable. The food was good, but the customer service was off putting and I wont be coming here again.

Yelp
Papi's was the perfect lunchtime destination. Their selection of food was wide and the ambiance in the restaurant was a pleasant and welcoming. I had the chose the Papi's bowl with pork and it was so filling! The flavors were bold by themselves but the dish also came with a creamy sauce which I would describe as a spicy ranch. The plate was just enough for me to fill up and take an extra lunch home. Their traditional Cuban coffee is also a great flavorful kick to get your day started!

Yelp
Pretty good food. My only complaint (would get it four stars or maybe five if they fixed this) is that the drinks are inconsistent. Some days they are nice and strong and give a solid buzz, other days they don't taste or feel very good. Sometimes they taste watered down and like zero effort was put in. Especially when you could go to Bon Ton directly next door and get a real cocktail that will take care of ya. Yeah, I really wish Papi's would get their bartenders right. The ham croquettas are awesome

Yelp
4.5 stars would be most accurate. This small restaurant has a long menu of Cuban food, ranging from appetizers to platters to Cuban sandwiches. Up to now I have only tried their platters. Serving size was perfect for one person. Food was delicious, especially their bread and meat. The side pan Cuban bread was perfectly toasted. The meat had tons of (differnt) flavors. The Lechon Asado was fatty and juicy, roasted long enough that they were easily fall apart. In contrast, the Masitas De Puerco was crispy outside and more chewy inside. Tasted like "lightly fried Chinese Pork belly". I also tried Ropa Vieja which is basically a beef stew. The texture of meat was similar to Lechon Asado, but it also had a strong kick of tomato & bell pepper mix. Both my friends and I thought yellow rice was better than white rice, and grilled plantains were a must-try. The service was usually OK except for one time (too slow). The restaurant was super small and not clean enough, especially their restroom. Still, I would like to go there in the future and try something new -- perhaps some sandwhich next time.

Yelp
We were in the mood for Cuban food so we came back to our favorite Papi's location. The Mojito was really good and strong as well. I ordered the Pan con Bistec with yellow rice and black beans. The sandwich was good, it didn't come with any potato sticks as mentioned in the menu and as I've always had it so that disappointing. It was just the steak with the cheese. Our waitress was attentive and the food came out fast which was good.
google avatar

Maria M.

Yelp
I came in and ordered beef with rice and it was so nasty salty and dry no other flavor my son had shrimp and rice and again dry with no flavor wasted over 50 bucks for some crap.

Yelp
Was recommended this place from a friend and it was soooo good the flavor was there honey trust me its was definitely authentic and the customer service was great as well and I'm thankful they don't throw avocado on everything due to my allergies so that's a plus I highly recommend if you want that authentic Cuban dish

Yelp
I've been here a few times. The food is decent. My issue is every time, and i mean every time, I've ordered from here my order has been incorrect or something is missing. This is one of those places you have to remove everything from the bag and check every container. and a tip on the empanadas. The chicken is flavorful but only has a tablespoon of meat inside. the rest is just air. You get more meat with the beef. and lastly, they never answer the phone.
google avatar

Yelp
Wonderful friendly spot. Superb service, amazing authentic tastes & smells. Very good bar menu & felt that touch of Cuba these folks are famous for.
google avatar

Carmen T.

Yelp
Absolutely loved!!! I ordered from doordash and it exceeded all expectations. Everything was perfect. I highly recommend the crab cakes. I couldn't choose from the menu so I clearly ordered everything. I might be bias because I was hungry, but I didn't even order food the next day of my work trip, I just ate the leftovers. Might I add... I ate them cold.. which was still amazing.

Yelp
As a person from Miami it makes sense that I might be harsh in my judgement of Papi's. It's nice to have some authentic tasting Cuban food living in Atlanta. However, I'm used to service being above and beyond at a Latin restaurant. We didn't get water with our food which is unusual compared to Miami. I had the Ropa Vieja Papi Bowl and there was little meat and most of the meat had a lot of fat. My partner had the Chicken Vaca Frita but it wasn't really fried. Overall, the flavor is there but it's missing some of the care and attention I'm used to from a Cuban restaurant. I'll be back because I need Cuban food in my life but it's nothing to write home about.

Yelp
Whoa! If you are seeking authentic, delicious Cuban food in the Atlanta area you HAVE to try Papi's! My family & I were on a road trip & one of our stops was Atlanta. My SIL mentioned they had eaten at Papi's some years ago & suggested it so she made a reservation for us. It was a group 4 adults & 2 kids. Everyone agreed the food was absolutely delicious. Walking in you will notice a lot of photos of areas in Cuba & Cuban art. I loved it. If you're looking for frills and the most updated spot this isn't it but the food will keep you coming back. I ordered a Papi's bowl which is pretty much the Vaca Frita meal but in a bowl. We ordered the loaded Yucca to start as well Tostones Supremos (must try) such a good twist on the traditional tostones. I cannot stress enough how authentic and delicious everything was. Everything was seasoned & tasted as if it came out my mother's kitchen. I was blown away- the black beans, the chicken soup, the pork bites, literally everything everyone ordered was mouth watering. There was a bit of a misunderstanding with the waitress when I made the order but it was corrected and Papi personally came out to apologize and address any concerns. I was so appreciative of this gesture and took the opportunity to tell him how great the food was. Seriously no frills just really great food. Whenever we are in Atlanta again we will absolutely be paying Papi's a visit. Ps. When you're in, take the time to read their family story on the menu. It's truly fascinating and a great story on pursuing your dreams. I loved everything about my visit to Papi's

Yelp
Papis is pretty good! I really enjoyed my Cuban sandwich, the bread was great and so was the meats inside! I enjoyed the fries and their seasoning. We also liked the vaca frita ! Service was good, place was clean. Parking is a little tricky but they do have a back lot. Make sure to check it before resulting to street parking though. Only thing to mention is the portions are smaller than they used to be which is sad but it was still good.
google avatar

Lily S.

Yelp
Pleasantly surprised by the flavorful *DOORDASH TAKEOUT*. Chicken empanada: was sooo good! Moist and flavorful, especially coupled with the green cilantro sauce; Tostones are however way too burnt; The steak entree was a great portion size: 2 thin flattened steak with rice beans and salad + muduros. The steak however I had to add salt; The palomilla steak sandwich is SO GOOD! Must try!

Yelp
I love it when you call me Big "Papi." Oh Papi, how I love thee. I'm just so enamored it's ridiculous. I'm so jealous to share you with the world, but we have an open food relationship, so you know my heart. Papi's is one of those places I could frequent the most because the food, service, and drinks are always consistent. My go-to is either the white fish with black beans and rice with a small side salad and Maduros or the chicken empanadas and Maduros. YUM! I tried every location in ATL with the airport included, and it's always up to par for me anyway. The ambiance is always a vibe with the Latin music in the background, and the servers are always pleasant. I highly recommend you try them if you're looking for some authentic Cuban food when in ATL.

Charise A.

Yelp
Puerto Rican here by way of NYC and lived in Miami for many years. My review? No bueno! Basic, basic, basic, and may even have you on the toilet afterwards holding the walls -- TMI! All served w/ a side of artificial lemonade; dude there is an aftertaste to it. Absolutely disgusting. Folks don't cook with love any longer, and where are they sourcing your meat?? Definitely not high quality because a side salad consisted of mixed greens - the kind you would purchase in a bag at a grocery store. Just terrible. Represent Cubans better than this. Anyone rating this over a 2.5, they just don't know good food, which I'm starting to think a lot of people don't, because so many restaurants these days are trash! Especially after COVID. I'd rather cook at home.
google avatar

Helena M.

Yelp
I frequent this place often in terms of carry out but I came here for a work lunch the other day. I love Papi's and have tried several of their other locations so my go to items are: - medianoche - ropa vieja - vaca frita This time I tried the masita de puerco and it was a miss for me. The fried pork was very dry which was disappointing because everything else on the plate was well seasoned and so good that I was looking forward to pairing the pork with it. So yeah, wouldn't recommend that. Not letting that take away from the rating tho because the food is always amazing here.
google avatar

Blake Z.

Yelp
This spot is perfect for grabbing a sandwich. While dining in was pleasant, the service felt a bit underwhelming, and the vaca frita--though authentically prepared--didn't quite stand out. However, the sandwiches are the real stars here. If it's your first visit, you can't go wrong with the Cuban--it's consistently excellent. The vibe is super casual, so come as you are and enjoy.

Yelp
Worst Yuca fries ever! They have changed from actual fried yuca slices to *ground and pre-formed yuca*. The fake yuca fried are greasy because they absorb the cooking oil. The classic yuca texture and flavor is no longer there. We threw them in the garbage. GO BACK TO YOUR ORIGINAL YUCA FRIES!
google avatar

Alessandra V.

Yelp
great restaurant i wish i had known about it sooner. everything we tasted was delicious. the yuca con mojo was my favorite its so understated but the garlic sauce was addicting. we split the lechon asado & ropa vieja. the maduros are a must. our service was great. they brought out a margarita surprise for my boyfriends birthday which was so nice.
google avatar

Justin M.

Yelp
Great lunch option for people who work or live downtown. I enjoyed the chicken soup and the fried fish sandwich. The bread was my favorite part to be honest.
google avatar

Ashley W.

Yelp
The service was great. Walked right in on a Friday night and got a table for 2. It wasn't loud in the restaurant. The medianoche was EXTREMELY juicy. The fries were superb. The maduros were astonishingly juicy with just the right amount of crispiness. The pan con bistec was super flavorful and not dry despite being pan seared. The black beans were seasoned really well - honestly, the best I've ever had. Highly recommend Papi's!
google avatar

Yelp
Dinner at Papi's Cuban was outstanding.  The Grilled Chicken with Beans & Rice was superb.  Topped with a beverage from the bar.  Service was really on point with Xavier.  He was incredible.  Really didn't know what to expect when I found Papi's Cuban on Google and strolled over.  But was pleasantly surprised and glad I did.
google avatar

Neil S.

Yelp
Papi's served my favorite Cuban sandwich in town when I first moved to Atlanta a few years ago. Since moving back, my wife and I have tried a wider variety of Cuban sandwiches (including as some of the best places in Miami) and find that Papi's remains difficult to beat on quality and value. Since Covid, everything at restaurants seems to have doubled in price. Since we last visited Papi's, the price for our favorite medianoche sandwich has risen a modest $2, and the sandwiches now come with a small side of fries or rice/beans. You can upgrade the side to tostones or maduros for a couple bucks extra as well. Considering that our second favorite sandwich in the city costs 50% more, choosing Papi's when the hankering for a Cuban sandwich strikes feels like a no brainer. Service here for takeout remains pleasant and efficient, and the sandwich of course tastes as good as when I wrote my original review. Now that our taste buds have experienced the rest of what Atlanta (and the country) has to offer, Papi's earns an extra star.
google avatar

Jeff H.

Yelp
A delicious place for not only flavorful Cuban, but some Jamaican and Puerto Rican dishes as well. Stopped here for lunch while on travel and it was a belly buster full of fresh Cuban and Rican. Great prices for the quality and quantity of the dish.
google avatar

Vanessa M.

Yelp
The food is fantastic! The service is great. They are always a go to for us. We celebrated my husbands birthday there as well. Just reliable good food!

Andrew H.

Yelp
This place has fell off! A letdown It's not the same as it used to be and the food is kinda bland. The proportions are Much much smaller than they were, as well as prices have gone Up. The service takes awhile and sometimes they just flat out get things wrong. Don't expect much if you have had this place in the past. And it's not just one bad day, they have been a consistent let down now and it's sad.
google avatar

Simone S.

Yelp
Haven't been here in ages and it's everything I remember. We self seated and Joshua came right over and gave us menus. He offered drinks and gave us honest opinions on menu items. He didn't steer us wrong. I had the Cuban sandwich with a side of yucca fries. My companion had the shrimp plate with yellow rice, black beans and tostones. Sandwich was full of meat, pork perfectly done, juicy, with toasty on the outside, soft on the inside Cuban bread. Add in the pickles, ham and Swiss cheese, perfectly done. The shrimp plate had a good portion of good sized shrimp on a bed of yellow rice with a small salad on the side. We both had the fresh juices. I had passion fruit, the other was mango. Fresh, frozen and refreshing. The portions were generous, pricing was super reasonable, and food was delicious! Decor still fun an eclectic, restaurant very clean and everyone work seemed happy and engaged. For a quick, delicious bite check out this space. Parking a bit tricky as the lot is shared with a couple other restaurants but well worth the time.

Yelp
Love this spot. The food is always on point and the drinks are great! I love the cuban sandwhich, my partner loves the media noche.

Yelp
Apps. Meduros. As U can see in the PiX, it's worth not a thousand words. Overcooked, not sweet to taste, hard, and I coulda, shoulda passed. Was expecting texture & the sweetness, epic fail. Fire Balls (New). Yuka rolled into a ball & stuffed w/ cheese, served w/ pico de galo & salsa verde. Pan Con Bistec. Jerk Chicken Sandwich.

Yelp
We wanted something different for lunch, and this Cuban spot had some good reviews, so we got some of their top items, and they did not disappoint. The lechon asado was flavorful and tender. It came packed with meat, beans, rice, veggies, and plantains. I understand why this dish is a top choice when people eat here. We had leftovers as this plate was so big. Another top dish here is the Cuban sandwich. This was packed with really tender and flavorful pork with cheese on a perfect roll. The sandwich came with fries and if you eat this for lunch, you might need a nap after it is so filling. I would definitely come back to this place and can't wait to have this again.

Angela Y.

Yelp
4.5 stars - great food, decent prices, cute chill restaurant Came here on Sunday at 1pm for lunch and found an empty table right away (seat yourself). The waiter suggested the empanadas sampler (2 chicken, 2 beef) and we also ordered the vegetarian sandwich with rice and beans and the lechón asado. The empanadas were really good, tender and juicy on the inside, crisp outer shell that wasn't oily (baked perhaps?), and OH SO FLAVORFUL. It was spicy, savory, and I couldn't stop eating it, especially with the green sauce. The rice was fine but the BEANS were steaming hot and flavorful and felt like a warm hug. The vegetarian sandwich was surprisingly good with soft bread, crunchy salted veggies inside, and a great melted cheese. The real star though was the lechón asado. Tenderly cooked pork with tons of umami flavor, so delicious and a must get!

Yelp
We went on Valentine's Day for an afternoon lunch. The staff was so nice and friendly, the restaurant was packed so we sat at the bar. All of the food tasted authentic and was cooked with love. The booths looked snug, all of the food that came out the kitchen looked and smelled better than you can imagine! Try everything!!
google avatar

Jay D.

Yelp
I got takeout from here and it was really f'ing good. The portions are large too so I ate my empanadas and lechon asado plate over two days, which I think is real value! The food was delicious, and based on the other reviews supposedly very authentic (idk I've never been to Cuba although I would love to go, but I have been to Miami and Papi's food was as good as any Cuban food I've had in Miami). I'll definitely be returning for more!!
google avatar

Robyn F.

Yelp
Ordered the Empanada sampler, with both chicken and beef, and was very good! Within the empanadas' crust there was a label to indicate if it was beef or chicken, was was a nice touch, I also ordered the black bean soup which is very good also, the lady at the Togo counter was very sweet and overall good experience
google avatar

Stephen Q.

Yelp
Most Expensive bowls I've experienced. Anywhere. $25 for each bowl. We were asked to add avacado, said yes that was extra $2.50 per bowl. Got our order and they didn't have the avacado. Told the lady at the register and was surprised they didn't even offer to take it off our already paid for receipt. Wasn't the best Cuban food I've experienced compared to what I've had in Miami and NYC.
google avatar

Rachel C.

Yelp
Good food and service! I ordered the Vaca Frita, which is shredded beef with onions, yellow rice, black beans. plantains, and a salad. It was SUPER filling, great amount of shredded beef. I substituted black beans for more sweet plantains & no regrets because the plantains were so good!! Street parking is available and they have many variety of dishes on the menu from specialties, sandwiches, wraps, drinks, and desserts!

Yelp
I have been to Papi's several times now and each time has been such a joy!! Parking can be sticky here given it is mostly street parking but the food is worth the hassle!! Came here recently on a Friday night with friends before a show at the Fox and we sat ourselves at a booth. We were attended to quickly and I of course had to get a café con leche because it was a Cuban place! It was absolutely delicious but could have been hotter. For my main, had to do the classic Cuban sandwich with rice and beans. Definitely come hungry here because the portions are massive! The sandwich was to die for and no complaints. Great place to come to dinner before the fox since it is walking distance or just any other evening for some delicious and comforting Cuban food!!

Yelp
Came for a late dinner and sat at the bar. One side is a to-go order counter so you want to go around the corner and down to the next door for the full restaurant. We got an appetizer, entree, and drinks ordered fairly quickly. Our bartender was awesome and went through all the drinks she could make for us. Being in a Caribbean restaurant, I felt a mojito would be fitting. Food came out pretty quickly. Service was friendly and attentive. Drinks made fresh in front of us, tasted great, and looked pretty. The crab cakes appetizer came 2 to an order along with pico de gallo and a creamy (avocado? ) green sauce. The crab cakes were crispy on the outside and super creamy inside. Our entree, the ropa vieja was a delicious platter of meaty pork with rice, fresh salad, black beans, and fried sweet plantains. It was all perfectly seasoned. We ate it up with nothing left on the plate. Really enjoyed our meal here along with the good service, fun atmosphere, good drinks, and well priced menu. Hope to come back a few more times during our stay.

Yelp
Yady our server was a total sweetheart. The food here never disappoints. I had the camarones al ajillo and my husband had the ropa vieja. We had flan to finish the meal. It was all good!

Yelp
I had been wanting to try Papis for SO LONG and it lived up to the hype!! An Atlanta classic for sure (you can even find them in the airport!), I came here for dinner with a friend. Parking is always iffy in midtown but there's lot of residential parking and we were lucky to find street parking right in front. (Make sure to not park in Mary Macs or Bon Tons parking)! We came on a weeknight pretty late so we were seated immediately. I had a Papi's Sandwich which is basically their Rey's Cuban but with added lettuce, onions and tomatoes. I ordered mine with rice and black beans. Everything is SO DELICIOUS!! The Cuban meat was so tender and juicy and the beans were seasoned so we'll and the rice was cooked perfectly, not dry at all. I absolutely loved my experience at Papi's and would definitely go back.

Yelp
It's the food pictures that drew me into actually coming to check out this spot. The food was pretty good however, there were nets around us and it was pretty annoying. The plastic cups were a bit dingy so definitely used a straw. The empanadas and their sauces to pair was sooo delicious. The yellow rice was decent and the pork was also really yummy. The ambiance wasn't there but it was okay. Authentic Cuban food is what you'll get which is the main reason for coming here.

Yelp
Great place to come and try authentic Cuban food! The service was amazing! Came here with my boyfriend! We tried tostones with shrimp on top! - absolutely delish! We also shared Vaca Frita (they only sell the Ropa Vieja for lunch Monday-Friday ... today was Sunday so sadly we didn't get to try)! This was absolutely yummy!! The portions are great! Also have Cafe con leche which hit the spot! The service was amazing (it is self seating/first come first serve)! Will def come back!

Yelp
Yesterday me and my colleagues stopped by Papis for a work lunch and were immediately greeted by the sweetest person I ever met. I believe she said her name was Migda!! When she greeted us, we immediately felt the best energy, she had the brightest smile and was very welcoming. Our server Steph continued with the same energy! She recommended the empanadas to start off with, the jerk chicken meal and pollo vaca with a couple Mojoto's. Once the food arrived the manager came by and introduced herself as Alba and checked on us. All in all as a business consultant that works in the service and the hospitality industry the customer service was amazing, good was exceptional. I love this place.

Yelp
Food was just okay. Would have liked more flavor in the food. Service was good. Our waitress was very nice and the food came out promptly. Ambiance was casual and cozy. If I could have given it a 3.75 I would.
