I've been waiting to write this review for years, as it's been a long time since I've had to use this airport as my hub, but it's still there - the salmon burger.
In case you're wondering why I had to wait years to write this review, it's because the meal I always order is only available at this location, and I needed to make sure they were still serving it before I added it to maps. They are, and it's all good as ever.
The service is still top notch, but keep in mind I sit at the bar all the time because it's faster to close out checks that way when you're traveling (no waiting to get the attention of a server).
The atmosphere is only for stars, well, because it's still an airport after all. They do the best they can to make it feel like a separate entity, placing it on the second floor, behind a giant marlin (Chuck Bartowski style), but my ultimate reason for visiting is still the burger.
You would imagine after having tasted a wagyu burger, this burger would seem like it wasn't in the same league, but it's just the opposite. This restaurant has the freshest fish because the majority of seafood for Texas is shipped from Houston.
It's sushi grade salmon served with chipotle-spicy coleslaw, and a heap of fries. I still can't finish all the fries, but I gave it the "good ole college try." 😏
Of Houston is your connecting airport, and you have a little over an hour, you can make it E4 and get your burger on. I should mention a burger of this quality isn't exactly cheap, so you're looking at about a $45 meal.
