The chicken paprikash was lackluster. They at least used real potatoes to make the mash. The stew looked like it had a lot of herbs, but the overall profile of the stew was not that exciting. The chicken was overcooked and dry. The chicken was not well seasoned either. I wished they used chicken thighs , the chicken they used was very easily shredded. The paprika goulash was also very lackluster. The pork was decent at best, the texture was also pretty dry. The stew was a little bit sweeter compared to the stew from the chicken paprikash. The gnocchi was atrocious — the texture, and the flavor was all wrong, it was definitely overcooked and way too soft, and not seasoned either. The tomato soup as soup of the day was its saving Grace. The soup was very well balanced in terms of acidity, richness,,, and creaminess. I hunched that they made their tomato bisque in house , instead of it being store-bought. The hungarian sausage was nothing special. Tasted like sausages that I can buy at stores. The wait time for our food to come out was unreasonably long. It took around 15-25 minutes for our soup and sausage to come out. It took an additional 10 minutes (after we finished our beginning courses) for our entrées to come out.

Absolutely amazing. My dining partner and I eat goulash and paprikash at home, but the food they have here is surreal. I had the chicken paprikash, she had the vegan goulash. Both had robust and complex flavors with a creamy side dish of potatoes. The Hungarian wine was delightful; our server was able to assist us with finding a good pairing for our meal. We will absolutely come again and bring friends and family.

Google
I had the vegetarian goulash, and my friends had the 2 sausages (german and swedish), and chicken paprikash, and all of us cleaned 100% of our plates!!! The food was delish and the waiter was great too. Would eat here again!

Bruno is a great host. More importantly it’s the best place in the Bay to eat Czech comfy food!

Didn’t take a photo, but their split pea soup is honestly one of the best over ever had. The chicken paprikash was excellent as well.

Google
Unique place that is easy to miss! Good: - Really yummy food - I had the chicken dish and I loved how it came with a delicious mashed potatoes and also had a ton of chicken - We got a sausage appetizer as well and the bread it came with was great - we even got refills! - Unique aesthetic - wooden tables and chairs so it was good for a date night Bad: - Simple service, nothing too special about the experience and felt a little bit slower on the service side since it took a while to flag people down even though we were one of two parties inside Overall was a unique experience, unique food and a cool change of pace for my own tastes

Dining in at Paprika was one of my first experiences trying German food, and I liked the simplicity of the menu. The drinks and food are tasty and reasonably priced. I came here for a Stammtisch meet-up, and it is likely I will become a regular here.

Google
Excellent food in an unassuming little restaurant. I had the Szeged Goulash which tasted just like how my Oma would make it. The imported Spezi (Americans just don't know what they're missing soda-wise) made my night and eating here made me feel like a kid again. Will definitely return for a cozy dinner of comfort food.

Yelp
Got a nice chicken paprikash! I've been to Hungary recently and they are famous for their paprika, was excited to try this out! It's like curry with mash potatoes and shredded chicken. Picked this dish bc it was most popular on their Yelp! Restaurant has good vibes. Dish also came with bread!

Yelp
We made reservations on OpenTable w/ Eastern European food in mind. Paprika has been around for 11 years and received Yelp/Michelin Recommended accolades and we wanted to see for ourselves what we were in for. 24th has been feeling kinda rough these days and searching for street parking proved more difficult, but we arrived on time for our reservation, got some sf tap water, ordered and awaiting for our meal. Paprika is most-def a dive and more a tavern that serves a limited menu, some sausages and Goulash, dessert... loved that it had veggie options for sure! Maybe 2 ppl cooking in the kitchen and 2 servers out in front - so possibly why service was spotty and our meals came 45-50mins after ordering. Since we didn't order beer or wine, we sipped a lot on tap water and waited and waited...but I will say mine was worth the wait. I ordered the veggie goulash which was so flavorful and scrumptious. It came w/ al dente gnocchi, also ordered the vegan sausage as an appetizer... that was just ok, nothing to write home about. My dinner companions ordered sausage and said it was good as well, standard star... Was it homemade? prob pre-ordered at another butcher place, but decent. The two tall men serving were very chill and kind, and managed to refill our water glasses about 10xs. All & all a good visit, but I'm sure it would've been great had we had a some of their beer on tape, but non of us drank. Thank you Paprika, despite some setbacks, it was a very relaxed and thoughtful dinner in you're cozy spot!

Yelp
It's great to continue steady support for women owned small businesses and restaurants from other different countries. I just had to try their foods that deserve attention. So before I wrap up this year with the coming of the yearly holiday season, I wanted to show you the food selections I couldn't wait to try. Paprika in Mission District has never disappointed me with its vegan options. So I chose what's good for my dinner night. My best appetizer was the vegan German sausage platter. Aside from sauerkraut, mini pickles, and a piece of bread, the beyond sausage was as solid as it looks when I sank my teeth for a bite. Its flavor profile was less than the real meat sausage, but very neat and clean. My main course was the Hungarian veggie goulash with gnocchi. I first flipped all the gnocchi pieces upside down to soak up the warm tomato soup for the better tasting experience. Veggies aside, the herbs and spices of the tomato soup made Chef Boy-R-D less worthy. Keep in mind, this goulash is an excellent choice for when the weather starts to get even colder. For dessert, dark chocolate shortcake with whipped cream on the side. For almost everyday, I couldn't stop having dark chocolate since it's rich in flavonoids. Less craving for the shortcake, but more guilt for the whipped cream. A perfect balance of sweet and bitter. Paprika was one of a kind, but it still needs more customers. Even with just one person in the kitchen, its service went smoothly.

Yelp
This was my first time trying Hungarian food and I'm so grateful it was here at Paprika! I ordered the Szeged Goulash which comes with pork, gnocchi sauerkraut, and cream. It was such a cozy dish for a cold, gloomy SF day and made me reminisce for a grandmas homemade cooking. There was complimentary bread that was crunchy, hot, and freshly served from the oven that paired perfectly with the savory sauce. The server was also incredibly nice and made the experience at the restaurant inviting and warm.

Yelp
We keep coming back for more of the hearty hot meals and draft cold brews of this cozy joint run by the friendly owner.

Yelp
Simple food done well. There's not a ton of restaurants that are casual but still a formal sit down meal, but Paprika is exactly this. I think it's a great date spot especially if you can snag a window seat. It's quiet, good for conversation. Service is friendly and not intrusive. The menu is short and to the point. The bread is excellent, which I really appreciate for this kind of food. This restaurant introduced me to szeged goulash and I am forever thankful!

Yelp
Such a little gem of a place, we stumbled on it because it's one of the few places open midday before peak dinner and after lunch, I have a soft spot for restaurants that serve on offbeat hours. An unobtrusive place right smack in the mission, surrounded by taquerias and the like. It's quiet and cozy, we snagged a table in the corner facing the sunlight, and were quickly served by a friendly face, of whom his name is should've gotten, because who doesn't love a shout out? We started with their Swiss Bockwurst, which came with sauerkraut, cornichons mustard and fresh baked warm baguette--oh man oh man, that sausage is everything you'd want in stuffed meat, and then some! Wow wow-it's crispy on the outside and yielding inside, with a hearty mildly spiced flavor; my husband and I shared it but I could've easily eaten the entire thing. I adore sauerkraut, and this was up there ranking high of all the versions I've had, and the perfect tangy complement to the rich meat. We got their chicken paprikash (though all of their other menu stuff looked incredible). It's an absolute marvel of dish--beautifully balanced in spices with a creamy sauce and chinks of sautéed chicken, the sauce tasting as if simmered for hours and hours, epic taste. Loved it so much, we polished off the entire plate which also came with mashed potatoes, so damn good--it's comfort in a plate. The prices are more than reasonable, especially for their grand portions and quality of cooking. The service was fantastic, prompt and friendly. I'm not sure how loud this gets at a peak time, but when we went in the middle of the day, it was hushed and exactly my kinda thing. Parking is hard and street parking next to impossible but there's a parking garage nearby for pretty cheap.

Yelp
Finally had a chance to enjoy this little spot in the Mission with my wife the other day. I had put it on my radar for sometime as I had experienced Goulash in Budapest some years ago when I traveled Europe. To the uninitiated, goulash is a delicious beef, or pork stew with a rich paprika seasoned broth. Perfect type of dish for a cold day (which there are many in Budapest!). When you walk in you get a really humble vibe. There aren't a lot of tables, but the aesthetic is one of a nice little cafe, less a fine dining restaurant. The gentlemen behind the tiny bar sat us and we looked over the menu. Fairly straight-forward and simple menu, the star of the show is the goulash, and they do a potato Gnocchi with it. We were extra hungry so we ordered a paprika platter to get our appetite going with a bottle of what turned out to be really delicious Georgian red wine. The platter was gorgeous, nothing over the top, but everything was good, especially the side of mustard. I loved the sprinkle of (was that paprika?) over the cheese, it actually added a unique flavor I enjoyed and fully intend to copy at home. We both had the Szeged Goulash (Pork) for main courses and when they came out, oh man did they smell good. The meat was melt-in-your mouth tender, and the gravy/broth was absolutely delicious. Many times he brought us out some delicious bread and I definitely used that to full effect in sopping up the sauce. As we were leaving they began to set up some live music, I'm truly disappointed we missed it as had I known we might of came later to check it out. The bill came out to be a little over $100, which for 2 people, with a full appetizer platter and bottle of red wine, that is about as good as it gets. Extreme value here people, easy 5 stars. TL;DR, while the menu is a little on the small size, you don't need a lot of choices if what you make is right and made with love. We definitely felt the love and would happily return anytime we're in the mood for some delicious eastern European cuisine. Egészségedre!

Yelp
I was there last night with some friends and we ate chicken paprikas, Szeged goulash. Excellent food , very delicious, great service too! We will go there again, even so not living in SF. I will tell all my friends to go there and dine at this restaurant. We really enjoyed the food! See you soon! Merci, vielmals! Danke Monika Luedtke

Yelp
This place is such a gem! The waiter was super friendly and the food was comforting and delicious! I've been here a couple times and love trying the different beers and sausages, they're amazing and all very different. If you want a bit of a heartier meal, the goulash is amazing! The gnocchi was nice and chewy and goes perfectly with the creamy sauce. Even the bread they serve it with was warm and perfect to sop up everything on the plate. If you're looking for a nice quiet date spot with delicious food and beer, definitely try Paprika.

Yelp
Very good independent restaurant with authentic comfort food and great beer. Cozy environment with friendly service and great Apple strudel. Tasty Paprika Goulash made with good quality ingredients and delicious selection of sausages.

Simple menu, which I appreciate AND all dishes are excellent. Loved the Chicken paprika, split pea soup and don't forget the apple strudel. Location is right across from BART

Yelp
Absolutely loved the experience here - this place makes me miss traveling SO much, it felt like I traveled right back to a small restaurant in Prague. The smell, the coziness, the friendly atmosphere and service, made this dinner memorable. GOULASH is the way to go. My favorite was the SZEGED GOULASH - there's sauerkraut and cream in the goulash, which was a perfect match. Didn't care too much for the meat itself because the rest of the dish was so rich. PAPRIKA GOULASH is also great, doesn't have the sourness nor the creaminess but it does have 100% flavor. SAUSAGE PLATE was decent, and the mashed potatoes were tempting, but... I'd get the goulash every time, comes down to preference though! Complimentary bread was fresh with a crispy edge, perfect for dipping in my goulash. Shoutout to the waiter for recommending a fresh and not sweet white -Olaszliszka Tokaji Harslevelu 2017, Hungary was fantastic. I don't drink beer but all my friends that got the beer loved it.

Yelp
Paprika was a fun experience. Other than my homemade chicken paprikash, I haven't really had Hungarian food. The environment felt like a restaurant in Europe. And with a lot of different languages spoken around me, it could have easily been Central Europe. I did enjoy the food and the meat was very high quality, but the dishes were simple comfort food. Not what I expect to pay almost $30 for.
google avatar

Lyuba F.

Yelp
Consistently the best goulash and paprikash. Friendly atmosphere. Thank you, I can always rely on you after a long day of work.
google avatar

Sheena C.

Yelp
This is my first time ever eating goulash and I'm happy to declare myself a little more genuinely cultured because I loved this dish. It was such a comforting warm meal to eat on a cold wet night in San Francisco and the Hungarian white wine I chose to drink with it was a perfect sweet mellow. I also noticed the flowers in the vase on our's and everyone else's table were fresh cut - what a small but impactful touch for ambiance! As we dined I noticed a bossa nova cover of a Joy Division song playing on the speakers. Everything was a special low-key experience for just casual dinner with a friend tonight. I can't wait to bring other friends here to share the experience!

Yelp
Good food and fast service. Definitely a bit expensive but I got something unique that I haven't had in SF before - goulash. I ordered the paprika goulash and it was pretty tasty. Came with gnocchi and a side of bread that was warm and slightly toasted. I cleaned my plate! Definitely will be back with friends to get some boots of beer and try the appetizers.
google avatar

Yelp
This time one of my friend crave goulash so we came here. I expected a bowl of soup to drink but out came a plate of food. Sausage and German beer was a excellent combination in my opinion. My friends rating and comment Josh (8/10) - a bit far off from goulash in Hungary but that's to be expected. Beer was good and dessert was meh Joshua (10/10) - Really well cooked chicken tasted fantastic with the mash potatoes and soup around it was bomb

Yelp
Welcome! very friendly and hospitable little restaurant that serves home cooking Czech and Hungarian comfort food. very conveniently located between Mission and 24th by BART Station. simple food, little menu, but you will be treated well here. very very well. the food itself is very easy to make on your own. but to have a good restaurant experience, sometime you have to put aside what is in front of you and feel what inside of you. good comfort food will make you feeling warm inside and that exactly what this restaurant is.

Yelp
Outdoor dining during pandemic. LOVED the food! And service was fast and professional. The meat and cheese appetizer was delicious! I had the chicken paprikesh and it was delish, my friend's veggie goulash was also excellent. Reasonable prices considering the quality of the food.

Yelp
Cozy and intimate spot over comfort food with shared beer and wine! Couple's place with suggested group of four and no more for this quaint restaurant! Dimly lit setting that is right for dining! It was perfect during a pouring rain evening that was happening outside because it made it just so much more leisurely to delve over homely food and drinks inside! (I snagged a last minute Valentine's date and to meet here. Yay to not being proclaimed lonely and single awareness day on V-day.) Hofbrau lager was ordered up due to the request from my dining partner. We did the 36oz. and they have the celebratory Das Boot! So fun to drink and just be jolly. Szeged Goulash was delicious! The creamy, sauerkraut drenched and tender pork was superbly adorned with every bite. Gnocchi complimented the entree lovingly. They provide bread on the side for dipping the treasured sauce! Seemingly like stew, I used my spoon and had spoonfuls of the creamy goodness. One try will leave you wanting more, undeniably! Wonderful and attentive servers. Little gem filled with charm!

Yelp
Every so often I get a huge craving for homey Central European dishes and so my husband and I head to Paprika. The dishes are flavorful and comforting, and they don't skimp on the carbs. The service is super nice and attentive. 5/5

Yelp
Surprises come from unexpected places! Paprika is an unexpected surprise and fully worth its Yelp rating and perhaps even more! Showed up on a lazy Sunday afternoon hoping to get some Goulash and a taste of the Old World, but instead ended up having that and a real culinary experience! Caprese comes with a twist as dried paprika is served with caprese adding a little spicy touch! Daily soups were Tomato Bisque and Split Pea, both of which were just delicious. Goulash was what I came for and was not disappointed! But it is served with pork and not with beef in order to please larger demographics, as a lot of Indian patrons do not eat beef! Nonetheless-it was delicious. Apple Strudel is a hidden gem! Not too sweet, not too tart but just right. On top of everything service was great, as Gabriela ensured of it! Chef Bruno is awesome!!

Matt H.

Yelp
One of my favorites. Have been many times. Authentic Hungarian and Polish cuisine. Love their Goulash. Friendly service and comfortable atmosphere. Highly recommend.
google avatar

Nils D.

Yelp
We had a delicious meal here tonight! We had the Paprika meat and cheese plate appetizer, the Szeged goulash and the pork goulash. All were fantastic, very like what we've had in Hungary! We also had the homemade Apple strudel, flaky and beautifully spiced!

Lisa L.

Yelp
The food is absolutely delicious. The bread is freshly baked and is reminiscent of Tartine's country style bread. I ate the Goulash, home made sausages and the Chicken Paprikash. The flavor profile was blended perfectly without one ingredient dominating the palate. I was really impressed with the community vibe that one feels when they walk in. It's like walking into the TV show Cheers. I spoke with one of the owners and his passion for clean whole foods really came through, maybe that is why I left feeling energized after the food and not bloated and tired. Highly recommended.

Yelp
With just is the perfect amount of light jazz as background sound to the delightful smells as I walked into Paprika. A quaint and charming two (2) room place with the feel of a little house. Incidently, it's on a street with an adorable tea house, a coffeehouse, a bakery, and a few other delightful offerings. Greeted by the lovely Gabrielle, I was seated in the second and larger room, and she was in-charge of the front. Chef Bruno in charge of the kitchen, spinning out all kinds of great stuff. The menu is small, a handful of appetizers and six entrée items. Sausages and goulashes rule, at least for me, anyway. 5 kinds of imported drafts beers available in 18 oz/36 oz/das boot sizes, glasses and bottles of wine, 1. Polish kielbasa sausage [4.0 stars, $8] -- presented beautifully. How? A little bread, a shot of mustard, a squiggle of ketchup, a small dill petite pickles, and a small mound of sauerkraut. While the kielbasa was not the thick one I was expecting, it was more like a good quality hot dog...but I went from one offering to the next, round and round, back and forth, until I got dizzy. 2. Paprika Goulash [4.5 stars, $17.50] -- Pork goulash with Gnocchi. Small portion of meat, maybe 8 pieces, but heavenly sauce with great gnocchi. A winner. 3. Apple strudel [4.5 stars, $7.50] -- could've been a little sweeter, but the pastry part was unreal...perfect. Served warm with whipped cream. Could it have more choices? Yes. Still, simply said, I loved it. PS. Bart station right across the street (note: 24th Street/Mission). Convenient!

Yelp
Really liked this place. It's got very quaint cafe vibes and serves up tasty Eastern European fair. Great place for a date. When we went they even had fresh tulips on every table. Not cheap but not too expensive. The staff was amazingly friendly. I'm grading it a 4, but it's a strong 4.

David P.

Yelp
Great place with on-point Czech-Hungarian delish dishes. Bruno (Swiss) and Petr (from Moravia) learned midpoint it was my better half's birthday (she's from Prague) and they went out of the way to make it special for her at the end. Very focused menu and the family we went straight for four entrees. All were relished/polished off with the warm bread, and washed down with fresh Pilsner (Budvar) and Hungarian white wine. The crisp apple strudel (with the lit candle and singing) was the icing on the birthday girl's cake! Very efficient, tasty and a lovely family lunch that hit the spot. We had a great time.

Yelp
This charming spot has some of the best wurst you'll ever eat this side of the Atlantic. All the cooking tasted home made with each bite as flavorful as the first. Washing it all down with an Eastern European crisp lager transported my tastebuds thousands of miles in a matter of seconds. Meat and potatoes done right! Highly recommend.

Yelp
I have been eyeing to try this place for so long. It is hard to miss this cute little restaurant every time you get the 24 Bart station. My friend and I went during non-rush hours and the service was really good. We got the table by the window, semi private, perfect to chilling and people watching in SF. The food was really really good. We found out it was Hungarian good rather than German food that we initially thought from looking at the name. I loved there sausage and their pork with gnocchi dish. Everything was cooked and flavored to perfection. Their beer on tap selection is pretty large. The place and bathroom are very clean. It is located conveniently right next to Bart so you don't have to drive because parking/driving around here could be a nightmare.

Yelp
The owner, Gabriela?, super sweet and attentive and definitely passionate about her restaurant. Table bread - complimentary, always good, was toasted and warm perfectly! Chicken paprikash - sooooo good! Chicken is super soft and it looks like a lot of gravy but it was perfect bc I ate the dish with the table bread. My friend had the tomato bisque soup bc he is pescatarian and not that hungry - it was a little on the sweet side so he added some cayenne - it was good to me Apple strudel - omg sooooo good, freshly baked to order and NOT too sweet. If you have a big sweet tooth and like cake frosting then you might not like it but if you're like me and like lightly sweetened desserts then you would love this like I did! The only thing I would say is there aren't any seafood options but maybe it's not big in Hungarian cuisine? Not sure, this was my first time! I highly suggest you give this place a try at least once! (Ps: sorry I didn't take more photos, this lunch was a meeting)

Yelp
I found the service here extremely friendly and warm, but the food was strictly average. Possibly it's my taste buds are not tuned to appreciate Czech/Hungarian/Polish cuisine. I certainly did not feel the food warranted the five star reviews I see here. The Paprika Goulash was just OK. The pork was probably a very lean cut and cooked separately from the broth - it tasted quite dry. The gnocchi that it comes with just does not soak up the flavors well. However the apple strudel was quite good, so they redeemed themselves. Overall, I found it OK, but would not really drive down to SF just for this again.

Yelp
Best comfort food ever! On a windy night like tonight, a nice hot tomato soup with fresh baked baguette and a hearty meal will definitely get you feeling warm! It's a little nook but definitely worth trying. The server has a thick accent so you know you're in the right spot!

Yelp
Wonderful Central European food, Hungarian Gulyás (Goulash), German Strudel, Polish Kielbasa, etc. They also have a wonderful selection of wine. I can't wait to come back and try other dishes!

Yelp
Wifey was craving beer and sausages and I was glad--what's not to like? We quickly found Paprika which is not too far from where we lived. We chose to Uber here and discovered that parking would have been challenging. The little cafe was a throwback to my time in Europe. Have not been to Czechoslovakia, but it did feel extremely familiar and cozy. We took a table by the window to watch the world go by... and found ourselves in a bit of a fishbowl...ironic :D We ordered the Paulaner Erdinger Weissbier which came in steins. Lovely brew to wash down the three sausages we ordered as a small and dinner plate. A detail I've not encountered elsewhere was to have the sausage ends split cross wise--I really liked how that made the otherwise chewy end caps tender and caramelized. We chose: Swiss Bockwurst--mild and clean veal sausage with delicate seasonings. A bit too tender for our preference. Hungarian Sweet--snappy, slightly saltier with subtle favorings. Easy to adore. Polish Kielbasa--I was truly impressed by the coordination of garlic, caraway and other flavorings and judicious use of salt. My evening's favorite. The sides were awesome--bread that was a crackly crust around a cloud of lofty crumb. Real potato mash with a pond of addictive paprikash sauce. Crispy tangy-sweet kraut. Mustard with horseradish kick. Cornichon gherkin pickles that were snappy, tangy and clean. The Chicken Paprikash featured the deep, bold earthyness of paprika. Tender pieces of chicken formed an island in a red sea of sauce that will cause even you to fend off all curious and hungry invaders that are your table mates. We had some room left after this hearty meal, so we ordered the Apple Strudel Czech style. It was exquisitely crafted, crusty and chock full of apples. There of was raspberry sauce and freshly whipped cream. Oddly enough, we would have preferred more sugar and salt on the apple filling. And yes, our hostess was exemplary and spoiled us rotten. Even with the strudel not quite to our preference, I was so delighted by the experience (and the price point), that this is easily a 5 star experience for me. I am quite thrilled to have tasted a bit of Prague. Děkuji

Solid 4.5 stars for this unassuming place in Mission. We weren't finding anything open on Xmas eve, but yelp showed Paprika had tables available so we took a chance and went. Cosy place, serving some honest to good East European and German fare, with a great beer and wine list (they had wine from Georgia which I couldn't try cos I already got some amazing dark German beer). Got the Paprika goulash, which was some of the best I've had in the states, brother got the Hungarian sweet sausage and the German spice sausage, both of which were excellent. The Apfelstrudel was on point too. Definitely worth a stop especially when the weather was cold and rainy as it was yesterday!

Yelp
Wow. Who New such a Central European gen was hiding in my little Barrio?!!!??? I used to live around the block from Gambrinus so perhaps I shouldn't be surprised but considering that Paprika and Rosemunde are within a block of each other and I'm within a block of them..... La Mission is Die Mission. Like everyone else I ordered the pork paprika goulash with gnocchi. It did not disappoint. Fortunately there was bread to mop up the leftover sauce. It may be bad manners to do that, but you will too once you try that sauce. Yum. Yes the gnocchi are perfectly cooked with just a but a chew. Yum again. Good wine list and I was sorely tempted both by the tokay and by the Hungarian Riesling but since it's late September and hence Oktoberfest, I succumbed to the Lorelai enchantment of the Hofbrau Maerzen. Never a bad choice and for once, in season. Zum Wohl! Food is great. Ambiance is good. Paprika is a keeper.

Yelp
What a great restaurant in a great location! We had so much fun celebrating the holidays tonight in such a cozy and intimate setting. The menu is not overly broad - they keep it to what they do best...and I mean that in such a good way. We had soup and Cesar's salad and goulash and of course brats. Everything was absolutely delicious (we even bought soup to go for tomorrow's lunch). The beer was fantastic - both German and Czech beer served on tap either in a traditional glass, or if your like me in a 32oz boot! Try the Budvar (aka Czechvar) haven't had this since a train ride I took in 2005 on way to Prague. This place is no doubt a repeat!

Yelp
They are one of the few San Francisco restaurants that are serving dinner Al Fresco style outside as a sidewalk cafe. The first thing I saw upon arrival was the staff cleaning and sanitizing the tables and chairs where we were being seated. The staff is attentive and friendly. The food was well worth the trip to SF. The deserts were mouthwatering. Overall 5 stars!
