This place was absolutely delicious!! We had a steak taco salad that was so filling and full of flavor and a chipotle chicken tostada that was packed with flavor! Both dishes were great! We cannot wait to go back!!

Really delicious food! Super flavorful. The black beans have a smoky taste to it which I loved. Very reasonable prices for 2023, especially given the portion sizes (I ended up finishing my three amigos fajitas over two meals), will definitely be back.

Really good portion tacos. Decent price. Staff was super friendly which was the best part. Nothing really stood out. Would have wished there was more onions on the tacos so there was more contrast in flavor and textures. The smoked brisket taco was really good and the meat was really tender. Would happily come back.

Absolutely amazing and CONSISTENT! Portions are hefty, flavor is always there, tastes fresh. Really not that expensive for the portions/quality. This is my go to when I'm craving Mexican food 🙌🏻

Local spot with small storefront. Big menu. Food came out really fast. Ordered the steak burrito and it was so delicious. Staff was friendly and I will be going back very soon. Had a lunch special that looked pretty good. Took credit card no problem. Mexican soda was a bit expensive (2.75) but always worth it. Gracias a todos!

Paquitos chicken Torta Sándwich is The best!! At Hair Art Designs we can’t get enough of it. We get it for our team at least twice a week. Their food is always fresh and delicious.

Came here for a late night bite not expecting much - I ordered tacos and was really surprised at just how flavourful these were! Highly recommend the fish and shrimp tacos!! Cooked so well, crispy and bursting with all the right flavours. Open late and food comes out fast. Small inside, can seat a couple groups but best as a takeaway spot/quick bite-and-go.

The food is always so fresh and such good portion! A good healthy fresh meal!! They are also so so sweet there !!!

I have been going to Laquitos for over 20 years. Hands down, the best mole sauce. I always order the same dish,,,enchiladas with beef and mole sauce along with mixed beans and rice. It's a craveable dish. I love to order extra raw onions for the top ; it just makes me smile when I sit down and eat it. HIGHLY recommend,

I used to go here when I was a college student in the 90s. Really cheap eats but good food. I always remembered how I liked their steak rice and beans. Decided to take my family and now my kids love it too. Still very good prices. Quesadillas come with a side of salad. Flautas come with rice and beans- I preferred them with less cotija cheese on top so not too salty. The tostada was pretty filling. The torta (sandwich) got great reviews from my son. Rice and beans with fresh pico de gallo and lime is a great side to any meal. The place is small though. We've been lucky to snag the one table inside that can seat 5 of us.

I've ordered Paquito's for a few days straight because I really enjoy the experience. Food comes in large quantities, especially for the prices and I always enjoy my meal. I've tried the chicken / beef fajitas and it's very nice that it's fully mixed in with the other ingredients. I like the chicken tacos too.

I ordered to go which is always risky when you're trying a new place, but I was not disappointed. Although, everything had a little too much beans for my liking it was all so wonderful and exactly the Mexican food I was craving. Not too spicy but the perfect amount of kick. Large portions and great prices. I am definitely interested in trying more wonderful dishes and dining in person also.

called my order in, the customer service rushed me off the phone and messed up my order. when I called them to get my phone that was paid for, they gave me the run around, the food is on the way. An hour later and after numerous calls. they never sent the food and o was out of my money. never again will we order from Pequito.

Quick service & dank tacos. 10/10 recommend My friend and I wanted to switch up our regular taco spot and decided to stop by. Paquito's is a small walk up and order type of place. I ordered shrimp tacos & my friend ordered chicken. They were great, fresh ingredients, and came loaded with toppings. At the time we came, there was no inside seating besides the bar facing outside. Its a nice option to chill, eat, and people watch the East Villagers. Next time we stop by, I'll be sure to try something new.

Service was horrible! Had an unpleasant encounter with female cashier after changing my order within a minute of my phone call. Although I apologized for the change, she was extremely rude, unprofessional, and combative. When I walked into establishment, cashier proceeded to ignore and not acknowledge me when I approached the register to pay. When I offered professional feedback for her behavior, she was unwilling to accept accountability and instead said "I'm the first person to tell her this" while also rolling her eyes. We are living in a generation where paying customers are given attitude and not valued. Beware of the customer service here!

Ordered delivery and man I need to dine in here in person. Got the steak burrito and the steak definitely had "it", tender and flavorful and cooked to perfection. The burrito travelled well and I was really impressed with this place and look forward to trying more of the menu.

If I could give 0 stars I would. After waiting 2hrs i called and they said it was on the way. I call back 30min later, and they said they lost my delivery. Then after 5 mins of talking i had to convince them to remake my food that they lost !! Then the delivery guy called me, and I missed the call and called back within 1 min and he said he left, and wasn't coming back. He didn't even ring my buzzer, and gave me attitude because he said he wasn't getting a tip, when I tipped $4. HANDS DOWN THE WORST CUSTOMER RELATIONS AND SEAMLESS EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD.

Lots to like at this East Village Mexican spot. First and foremost, there is a charming back yard to dine al fresco without the burden of noise or traffic. That's sooo unique and wonderful. You feel like you're eating in a friend's yard and that's a great feeling. The food is good and the drinks were fun. Pricing was commensurate for the area -not cheap not terrible. Pete had fajitas and I had shrimp and rice. The interior is drastically different than the outside. You'll prolly walk right past this restaurant if you're not looking for it, so keep an eye peeled.

I almost hate to write this review because Paquitos is a hidden gem in the city. I am obsessed with this place. This is by far, probably my favorite mexican spot in the city. I am a big "Hard shell" taco kind of girl who also loves a good steak taco. Normally those come on soft tortillas but here I can customize that. It also comes with guac and cheese on the taco. The hot sauce is amazing and the salsa is delicious as well. I am literally obsessed. The only downside for me is that I remember when this place was a full service restaurant. I miss that because I used to be able to enjoy a marg with my meal. Otherwise, I am so thankful there is an option like this in the city!

I only order delivery from here and every experience has been great. The food is delicous and fresh and fast. The delivery people are so great. They usually ask for about 30-40 minutes delivery time during dinner rush which I think it totally reasonable.

We are from San Diego Ca and we know real Mexican food and this is not it. The food was flavorless and bland, and even the service was horrible. The clerk in the front was neither friendly nor helpful, and everything I requested was followed by a no. The cooks where accommodating and nice, however it was the two clerks in the front that refused to be helpful. I asked for extra salsa and was told I only get one salsa per entree. I ended up with salsas only halfway filled and was charged 50 cents each. I don't know about y'all, but we got salsa bars in our San Diego taco shops, so this was whack. Authentic Mexican foodie

This is very good and very authentic Mexican food. Here is what my girlfriend and I like from ordering delivery today and yesterday. The Cactus Enchilada was amazing and very fresh, the Cheese Quesadilla was perfect with very high quality cheese. The Veggie Chili was hands down some of the best Chili I have had in 50 years. the Vegetable Fajitas was also very good. I would order all of these again many times. Now for the not perfect. The Sweet Plantains were very dry and I think we were just not prepared for them. The Grilled Vegetable Taco Salad was not enough salad and the Taco was very deep fried tasting and not good. The Vegetable Chimichanga was just too deep fried for my taste, the Vegetables inside were very good though. My son also liked his Beef Asada Burrito. I will suggest staying away from the deep fried. Otherwise everything is very fresh and good.

I ordered steak taco and steak quesadilla. It could use a little more flavor. The chopped up tomatoes were flavorless. The green sauce was watery. This place is okay.

So I only went to Paquito's because I was bike riding on 1st av and it was open and Close to home I ordered 1 beef taco 2 fish and 1 chipotle chicken.The beef was awful it was tough the fish was ok could touch the chicken.They didn't have a menu the young lady said there working on a new one .Tacos are pretty big and packed with ingredients for sure prices are fare!

Great local east village spot! The food is always on point! I love the steak enchiladas with the spicy sauce! Their quesadillas are also cheap and filling! Chips and guacamole can be a little expensive $9 but it's tasty!

I have never once written a review on yelp but I need everyone to know how much I love this restaurant The food is so good so simple yet so delicious It never makes me sick (and I get takeout from here far too often) Its always fresh Its the best mexican food in manhattan hands down Thank you Paquitos keep up the good work

They have good food , horrible service , horrible delivery guys , overall not worth a headache, pure lazy greedy delivery men , if they don't like the tip you give them they'll claim an incident happened near by to avoid delivering and having to walk up stairs or bring the food to your hands will ask you to pick up out front of your building ,

I've been coming to Paquito's for nachos since the '90s. Today after I ordered the owner lady said they don't have beans because of an issue with ConEd (shady). I asked if the nachos were still $10 without beans and she said, "Yes." The nacho chips were super stale and lame overall. I've been coming here so long. Feels like she should've told me the chips would be stale without the beans. $10? So lame. By-bye, Paquito's.

Their fajitas are amazing! If you're looking for some straight up beans and rice, I totally recommend. I haven't tried any of the meat dishes, but this is my go to spot for shrimp fajitas. Also, they are soooo quick when I order on Seamless

Love Paquito's. I've been eating here for years n years. They use to have other locations but am grateful this one is still around. This is by far the best, authentic Mexican restaurant/takeout/delivery, downtown. I'm addicted to their Pinto Beans n Guacamole especially. Everything is fresh n is delicious here. Paquito's is the epitome of traditional Mexican food. Anyone giving this place less than four stars probably eats some bastardized version of Mexican food. It upsets me to see bad reviews for Paquito's, as the owners are hard working and deserving of their success. If you try the food, you'd realize no one can take away their amazing tastes, quality ingredients, quick service, and great atmosphere. Seriously, from the burritos to the tacos, to the platters- everything is traditional, simple, and tastes of delicious authenticity. What's even more incredible is that they manage to acquire these fresh ingredients daily and keep the prices EXTREMELY reasonable. I really support Paquito's and wish the best for them!

Expected so much better off of the reviews, might be a better experience if you go in for freshly made food. We got the cactus torta, chicken chimichanga, and seasoned fries for delivery. Fries were the best part. The torta was just way too greasy. The chimichanga was fine, just not very flavorful.

Best Mexican and Authentic food in the neighborhood. Sad that they closed down the restaurant section, but happy they left their take out! Also, very economical.

I was randomly roaming this area this past week and was in need of fuel for the machine. A happy hour special was in effect when I stopped in, I believe it is from 4-7pm everyday. Don't let the front dining area deter you, because at 6:30pm, there was nare a soul to be found in the front, the place looked dead. But the secret is in their backyard garden. Beautiful space in the back and seemed like all the patrons were darting back there immediately. I sidled up to the bar and asked if happy hour was still going on and yes, the Gods were smiling on me. And for $6, you have a choice of sangria, mojito or margarita. The margarita was a very decent size, tasty and well made. While I was peering over the menu, a nice waiter brought me over some chips and salsa, on the house! At 6:50pm, because I am an opportunist, I asked the barmaid to make me another margarita and ordered a quesadilla with jalapenos. They are also sides of cactus too, interesting. And by 7:20pm, my bellly was full, my brain swimming in endorphins and the dent in my wallet was only $20. You really can't beat that here in NYC. Two large-size margs, FREE chips and salsa, and a very delicious jalapeno quesadilla all for a mere $20. Also, they have quite a few vegetarian options, so you didn't feel like you had to be creative to make your meal. Now, I was ready to take on whatever the night had in store for me. Thanks Paquito's for being a friendly place, with decent drinks, food and low traffic. These days the people here are just getting to me...

Eh, I've had WAYYYYY BETTER-- Not a fan. I had an order delivered and my order was completely wrong. So, like any normal person I called the restaurant to let them know of the situation and nothing was done. It was bad enough I had to eat my meal without the $2 avocado I paid for. The management team isn't the greatest also and I def won't return.

Ordered delivery. Loved their vegetarian enchiladas but the real highlight was their passion fruit juice. Definitely was freshly squeezed. And reasonably priced! A great affordable place in NYC!

Paquitos has always been a. Favorite taco spot Of mine and I've always gone with the my favorite there a carne Asada burrito. The burrito is filled with well seasoned steak rice sour cream beans if you so Choose, cheese, and topped with pico De gallo in a nice big tortilla. This is another place I've come To since childhood even though the burritos are quite big still they used to be bigger the portion size has gone down a bit. There are two sides to the establishment a takeout side with a few seats and a eat in side with a garden to sit in and a full bar. If I have the time I'd rather sit down and eat I find the food taste so much better when you sit down and eat it there. But I've lived the flavor of the meat in the burritos so long I could eat my burrito twelve hours Later in Guam and still feel at home. Paquitos is a place I've gone to For over 20 years and I'll definitely continue to eat there.

Delivery from Paquitos tonight was pretty darn delicious. Went the healthy(ish) route with the chicken and beans/rice + an avocado salad. Let's start with the salad: Great size. A lot of perfectly ripe avocado on top. Vinegrette dressing was yummy and light. Carrots, iceberg lettuce, radish and onions. Highly recommend it. Chicken entree: Also quite large. Portion is enough for two meals. The chicken was perfectly seasoned. The hot sauce they include has a nice kick. Not overly oily or "mushy" like some Mexican places. Ask for extra pico to put on top. The meal was delicious and flavorful without all the cheese, cream, and fried things most Mexican dishes consist of. I'll definitely be ordering delivery from here again! Delivery was fast! Delivery man was friendly.

There are some Mexican places that are all about the food and many more that are better for the drinks. Pacquito's is definitely fits the latter. Happy Hour is all the rage here, as is their endless supply of cheap margaritas, beers, and semi-strong sangria. And while food usually goes hand in hand with a decent array of happy hour drinks, eating at Pacquito's will usually prove to be disappointing or perhaps fatal by the looks of things. Despite their claims for "authentic and delicious" Mexican food, most everything here is everything but. Soggy enchiladas, flavorless rice, overly soupy beans, embarrassing tostadas, and terrible tacos are thankfully not at all expensive. Food here is on par with the faux-TexMex delivery chains run by Chinos all over the city, and they cost about the same too. The most expensive thing on the menu (carne asada burrito) is still under $10, which for the NYU crowd is just right. I will credit Pacquitos with a good variety of vegetarian options, it's not every day veggie folks are able to choose more than just salad on a Mexican food menu. Cactus, spinach, and peppers are available as burrito fillings and all range from $5-8 each. As long as one gets a wheat wrapped tortilla without cheese, vegan hipsters can go home happy. Service has always been subpar here. The staff can be moody at times, lackluster and apathetic service tend to be the case. Delivery seems to be the one exception in which they do quite well. It's lightning fast and for the most part piping hot. Dominos doesn't have anything on Pacquitos. As previously mentioned, the happy hour and drink-a-thon is where Pacquito's role is best served. During the spring and summertime, the open back area is a great place to chat over a pitcher of sangria or margaritas and a beer or 10. The inside area is as Ladies Man would describe - small and dinky. Drunks from all walks of life have been through here, not a pretty site in the wee hours of the night, so make your next visit to Pacquitos, an after work one.

Rude staffs, on top of that, there was barely any meat in the beef burrito, not to mention, it was poorly wrapped, making the eating process worst than it can already get. The tortilla wrap was soggy... it just sucks. Was a complete rip off for chips, guacamole was definitely not fresh and watery- tasteless, salsa was worst... for $6, I could get better chip and salsa at the supermarket. shrimp taco was nothing special, blend and boring. Do avoid or come at your own risk.

This is the dictionary definition of a yelp three-star Mexican joint. Perfectly decent, nothing special whatsoever. Their rice and beans are exactly what you'd expect. Their burritos are HUGE, a little on the bland side. They have cactus on the menu, but I would not recommend ordering it, as it arrives unseasoned, and as cactus has about as much flavor as a bell pepper, it is not worth eating. Perhaps they hope people will order it purely for the novelty. I will say that their salsa is among the best I've had. They also do pitchers of sangria and margaritas that aren't way overpriced. And the dining areas are tastefully arranged. It's a fine and pleasant eating experience with mediocre (not bad) food.

After walking around the area for about 20 minutes looking for a good happy hour we finally stumbled upon this place. The place was completely dead at 6:30 pm on a Wednesday. We were pleasantly greeted and seated promptly. They have a cute outdoor patio/bar and indoor seating as well- very cute Mexican decor. $6 frozen margaritas during happy hour. We tried all 4 flavors but the Mango & passion fruit were my fav. I had the enchiladas with sweet plantains on the side and omg it was sooooo good. The plantains were the best I've ever had! The BF got a burrito and of course I ate half of it... It was delicious and huge. Our waiter Juan was excellent- very personable & friendly. I would def recommend this place to all my fellow yelpers!!

I've been coming to Paquitos since it's been open (29 years). Today, Thurs June 17, 1:15pm. I came in to order. I was at the front of the line and was told to move back while the woman at the front (very rude_ took the order of the people who came in after me for no reason. I had a mask, was socially distant and causing no problems. After she took the person's order behind me she continued to ignore me for 5 minutes until I left. I could understand if I was being difficult or not wearing a mask but I wasn't. If you run this place you need to talk to the employee who was working at this time. very very rude for no reason

Best mexican food I ever had. Great service , eat it every week during work. Best tacos, taco salads, quesadillas and burritos.

Came here on a Thursday for dinner and enjoyed my meal here. They have a back garden for you to sit outside, which was nice. Service was definitely VERY slow tho..think they were overwhelmed with a large table that came in a few mins before us we ordered a pitcher of sangria which was a bit water down but nonetheless, yummy. The free chips they give out were good but the salsa was not the tomato, onion salsa I am used to, but its free so really can't complaint. I had the carne asada which was steak served with grilled onions, guacamole, yellow rice and bean I was very happy with my meal, everything was delicious on the plate and the portion was huge. My boyfriend had the other steak entrée for dinner, and he was very happy with his food too Overall, yummy food. I will return again for sure!
