Paradise Alley… the name speaks for itself! Truly felt like we stumbled into a little slice of heaven on Earth. Came here to celebrate our friend’s birthday and wow… what a night. Truly if heaven had an alley this would be it. Incredible backyard too!

My friends and I stumbled in here after having dinner for my boyfriend’s birthday nearby. Wow I am so glad we did. Artie, the bartender, was such a gem and put up with all of our shenanigans. We played music, pool, darts. It was perfect. Great dive bar that we will definitely need to come back to next time we are in the area — but visiting this place again might be enough of a reason to make the trip from brooklyn. Thanks for the good memories!!!

I had a cream on the rocks $8 and a Tanqueray Gin tonic $12, listening some rock! I though they have pizza but they dont have food. Any ways, I like it! 🤞🏻I will be coming back. Im glad because I just move to the neighborhood and I always need a place to chill close home!

This is a very nice bar. Good location right next to the LIRR station. Big TVs to watch sports and a pool table. There is also a outside beer garden out back. The staff is friendly.

The last place in Flushing to still have a sign in English!!! Been there for a while, and hopefully will never fade away. Great late night spot for a drink and pool 🎱

This is where we ended up after our fun & delicious meal at Mapo BBQ. Funny that we probably walked into the only Irish Sports bar in town complete with pool table & outdoor patio. It was your typical local bar, very welcoming. We were greeted by our George Carlin doppelgänger Brian. Very funny & to the point. He said first of all don't be ordering nothing fancy! Then us girls ordered a Pinot Grigio , a Hennessy & Coke(I think), a Southern Comfort & Tonic. Then STEVIE hits him with a Green Tea! LOL! Brian said didn't I tell you nothing fancy! The girls did fine! What're you trying to do to me?! We all had a good laugh. Long story short, Brian made the drink for Stevie! What a cool dude! We played a few games of pool, watched a Giants game(hanging head in shame), had lots of laughs and an all around good time. It would be a great place to do UYE but the parking situation sucks around there. But the train station is literally right next door! Good times! And because of Yelp check ins, off I went to meet some other Yelpers in Brooklyn at Canarsie Piers! What an awesome day & night I had!

A weird Irish bar in between two Asian bars or restaurants in Flushing, Queens. The drinks are affordable and the staff is kind. Flushing, Queens is home to Mic Geronimo, Action Bronson, Royal Flush, Neek The Exotic and Large Professor. My father is buried in Flushing as well. Paradise Alley represents an ideal of perfection in a universe of chaos.

I grew up a few blocks away from Paradise Alley, and as a kid everyone I knew kinda regarded it as a divey place, but not in a good way. I happened to drop by its Yelp page a few years ago and was surprised to see so many great reviews, so I book marked it, and happened to be in the neighborhood recently. It's somewhere between an old mans bar and a dive bar. There's a pool table up front ($1 per game), electronic poker, and an electronic juke box (that on the day I was there was playing exclusively classic rock thanks to the 40 and over crowd of regulars. Sweet!). Your usual domestic bottled beers run a reasonable $4, but the Blue Moon on draft was $7 or $8, which was a little steep. Still though, everything was always served with a smile and the bartender encouraged me to sing along to the music the moment I sat down. Love that. There's a spacious courtyard outside that overlooks the LIRR train tracks right next to the Murray Hill station. Between that and the planes overhead it can be a little hard to hold a reasonable conversation, or easy to hold a loud one. Either way it's nice to watch the trains go by, with trees handing overhead, resting your beer on a ledge that seems built just for that purpose.

Alright, so I'm a little confused on my opinions about this place... but I guess the bottom line is, "I'm a fan." It is a great oasis from the surrounding super Asian drink spots. The pricing on beers here is competitive (haha) and it's an overall decent place. The inside is air conditioned in the summers, the back patio is clean and spacious. The bathroom situation can get a bit frustrating if there's a lot of people, but it's rarely "crowded." Also, a pool table indoors, a large screen outside (which worked until a few weeks ago?! Please fix this!) Also, the guys at the bar remember your face, and are good to you if you're good to them. Thank you for this, really. A strange... characteristic of this place is that .... the crowd is really mixed. I mean, REALLY mixed. You'll get your 20 something asians, your 30 something non asians. With a splash of crazy, a kind of.. significant splash. IE: While enjoying the NBA playoffs and cheering with the rest of the back patio (who were all strangers) there were a few odd balls. One guy was talking to himself.. about a tea party that he was late to. I thought maybe he had a bluetooth in, but he did not. He was just.. ya noe, talking about non-existent tea parties. IE2: A very hands on couple - no big deal really, except that the age gap there must have been at least 40 years. And they did not speak the same language. It was just a strange situation. No judging here, I still love the place. But it's a very mixed crowd. A mixed crowd that really doesn't mind being in the company of others. My boyfriend made friends quick with two other dudes, they exchanged numbers and watched the game together (with me sitting quietly hahaha). But yes, you will see some weirdos.. yes, there will be lotsssss of weed wafting your way if you're in the back patios. yes, there may be a GIANT water bug in the bathroom. But the service is good, the space is more than acceptable, the location is great, etc. Oh, also - Cash only! Hmph.

More of a neighborhood bar. Not a place I would return to. Got served a super dirty glass. The bartender even checked the glass and he still served my beer in it even though it was grimey, sticky and disgusting. Yea gross.

I love this bar!! Awesome vibes, awesome patio! And Vicky is amazing! Gorgeous and always a blast! This places makes you feel like home. Filled with regulars. You can also bring food. Have spent many greats nights here and will always come when Vicky is around. She is the absolute best. I love Vicky!!

Great spot to chill even during covid, been here a few times with the bestie and his siblings. Tables are more than enough distantly spaced, bucket of beer was differently priced each time which got us confused even though it was stated how much it was before we even picked which beers. Aside from that, awesome place.

When I retire, I want to own a bar like Paradise Alley. I figure I'll be jaded enough at that point to hate on the froo-froo speakeasies, hipster hang outs, and velvet rope affairs. I want my pool table to be ratty and I want my top shelf liquor (incl Grey Goose!) to cost $6 for a generous pour like at Paradise Alley. I want my bartender to be an old white biker dude, who graciously serves a clientele that's 95% Asian youngsters without batting an eye, and gives out free shots after he warms up to your group. And I want to serve frozen pizza out of a clapped out toaster oven. It'll be cash only like at Paradise Alley, and I want my back patio to be huge, and a perfect spot for an impromptu game of flip cup and beer pong during warmer days. Someday I'll have a bar like Paradise Alley, and it'll be the greatest bar in New York.

An American gem hidden amidst all the delicious Korean restaurants (Mapo & Hahm Ji Bach are two) and shops in Murray Hill/Flushing. Artie's the best ! He's the bartender most nights... rides a Harley, and loves Black Haus blackberry schnapps... Their pizza is the best bar/pub pizza ever... Small outdoor beer garden with TV is a plus... Jukebox had a lot of cool songs... many for one credit... Small pool table in the front... I think Wednesdays is free pool night... I'll update info soon, as I know they serve food on weekends, and have a karaoke night... I just don't know the exact times and days.

I made my first trip to Paradise Alley today with a close friend of mine in the dead of day-- it was 2pm right before the blizzard and we were literally the only ones there. This place has a tremendously cozy ambiance-- one that's hard to find in the middle of flushing. We met Helen, who was managing the bar, and she was a great hostess. I can see this bar being really popular during weekend nights and summer nights--given that they have a really nice patio out back. I will definitely be coming back if I'm in the area.

This is my second favorite bar in Queens other than Sheehan's (now known as BB's) Nice staff. Jimmy is awesome. Another real cool bartender Arty who rides a hog. Drinks are reasonable. Quality stuff here. Back patio is nicely done. Love it when the weather cooperates. We like to smoke back there. Definitely a nice break from all the kimchi in the area.

Paradise Alley is a diamond in the rough! My favorite neighborhood hang out- all bartenders are usually awesome! Shout out to Arty, Helen, Eddie, Brian and Vicky!

First, this place is PERFECT since I get off the LIRR at Murray Hill and will frequently bump into a buddy from college who lives in the area. After a brief exchange of words near the station, it's off to Paradise Alley to start drinking Blue Moons. A few things you should know: 1) it's cash only - I typically pay my bar bills with credit cards ... so this can catch me off guard if there's no dough in my pocket 2) from my experience they WILL check you ID. As divey as this place is, they will play by the rules. 3) the men's room is a single bathroom that doesn't lock. I presume it's because there's both a toilet and urinal in the room. This is pretty frustrating, so it's costing a star. On a nice night, head right out the back door to the "beer garden" which is a long deck I see they have big TVs back there, but I've never seen them on so not sure what the deal is. There's big round tables and chairs for you to hang out with the people you came with, plenty of room. Overall, if you have cash on you and want to grab a cheap drink with a friend near Murray Hill LIRR - this dive is for you!

Both kegs were super flat. Couldn't even finish our beers. Bathrooms were gross. Server was nice. Maybe just came at wrong time.

Yay for Artie and the great guys that take turns tending to this cool neighborhood spot! Kick back and unwind without any of the frills. Great people, great drinks and great prices. Finally an escape from the sit-down style korean 'bars' in Flushing. (Bleh!) We always have a great time. Everyone just minding their own business and throwing back a few! Old school pool table fed by quarters can be lots of fun. Outdoor patio is totally a plus!

What can I say...a total shitstorm of American Pride slapped into the underbelly of one the toughest Korean neighborhoods in town. Outdoor patio and a real nice bartender named Artie. Just make sure you get really drunk and yell out Jenga. They really love that there.

Hes friendly and gave me and my friends a round of free shots at the end of the night. We went on a Wednesday evening so it wasn't crowded at all. Theres a patio in the back, which would've been great had it been warmer. If I'm ever in that neighborhood again, I'd definitely go back.

Great Irish dive in Asian town. I love that the local Chinese places know to deliver here. The back patio is also surprisingly big and well shaded.

I have a list of non-Asian places in Flushing which I sometimes need when hanging out with my non-Asian friends. This is one such place and its not a bad bar. Good lighting, decent beers, and drinks. Typical dicy free bar food that you are always scared to eat and get a the runs. They even have live music here. It's only Paradise when you are sick of drinking bubble tea and dealing with the Flushing riff raff.

Drinks are cheap, vibe is easy going and there's always a diverse crowd. The back patio is spacious - perfect for summer nights.

From the front, this place looks like a pretty typical bar. When you walk in, it looks much the same, except for one thing. This place is immaculately clean. The inside is not trendy or classy looking by any means, but it's clean (in case you didn't get that earlier) and doesn't have that "bitter bar smell." The bartender, Artie, who we have all read about in these reviews, was there and lived up to what the other reviews have said about him (he's a really nice guy). Now for the real hidden gem. I stumbled across this place because I was looking for a bar with a back patio and I didn't want to have to drive to Astoria or Long Island City or Fort Greene. I went with my friend and we approached the back door of the bar with caution. Much to our surprise, the back patio is more of a back porch, or a back boardwalk, or a back porch on roids. It is a wide open space with many tables and lighting at night, as well as televisions to watch baseball games. On top of the great outdoors offered at this bar, the friendly ambiance, and the cleanliness, the drink prices are very reasonable. I had a blue moon (pint) and my friend had a Jameson and ginger ale; the total was $11.00. I will definitely be going back. I'm so glad this place is in my area. BTW, it's right by the LIRR.

It has a fairly diverse crowd...anyone is welcome kind of atmosphere. Hole in the wall with a nice outdoor back section. Good place to go if you are looking for a relaxed place without frills.

Our visit here was amazing! The bartender Brian made us feel at home even though we were visiting from Dallas. It's cash only but the company is great here and there are plenty of TVs here if you want to watch a game!

Went there Sunday night with a friend around 8:30pm. There weren't many people there...just the regulars and it was an old crowd. Bartender was nice. Heineken for $5 and he let my friend have his sprite for free.

Drinks are cheap and the back yard patio is nice during the summer nights. The down side is it gets a little too hood sometimes. It use to be a really good atmosphere type of place to hang out but it has gotten ghetto.. Like gang banging ghetto.

Went here last night with several friends after stuffing ourselves at the fabulous Hahm Ji Bak down the street. At first we were skeptical of the "American Bar" in a sea of Korean restaurants and Karaoke spots, but decided to give it a shot and skip the singing. It was rainy and only a few people where there on a saturday night. We took over the excellent digital juke box and made ourselves comfortable and ended up having a great time. The bar tender bought one of our friends a drink in round two for "good luck." It has a great, old school charm, with absolutely no fuss or frills. Bonus points for having a pool table.

Went here again Saturday night with y other group of friends. Went to the backyard and it was nice, long backyard. It began to rain though but still able to stay outdoor underneath shelter. The trees on the left makes it also relaxing.

Great neighborhood bar! Always lots of fun!! A gem hidden in Flushing. Conveniently located right across the street from the LIRR.
