"A winery in Sonoma County that suffered catastrophic damage in the Tubbs Fire, losing multiple structures. The sculpture garden survived, and they plan to break ground on the rebuild soon. They are also hosting wine club events and other gatherings." - Jess Lander

We came as a walk-in. They initially sat us inside. After looking at the menu, we decided to order a bottle of wine, which was delicious! We ended up moving upstairs and sat on the deck while we enjoyed our bottle. Upstairs has such an amazing view! Just wow! The staff were extremely friendly. Overall, it was a very nice and relaxing place. Although, I will say we encountered some younger groups of people who were really just rude. Luckily, it was brief, and we were not seated next to or near them during our visit, so it did not spoil our time here at all.

We had our wedding here at Paradise Ridge Winery in Nov 2024. It was the best decision we made. The scenery was so lovely especially the view of sunset! Our reception and party also turned out great indoors. All of our guests enjoyed it a lot. Most importantly, thank you for Jasmine's great support on everything :) We highly recommend Paradise Ridge Winery!!

This particular review is for the property and not the wine. Although the wines are fantastic- today our visit was a walk through their beautiful property with magnificent outdoor sculptures.

We came here for the reserve tasting on a Thursday Afternoon. Jessie did our tasting. She was amazing. Extremely knowledgeable, down to earth and just a really friendly soul. I generally do not like Cabs or Chardonnays. Every wine we tasted was DELICIOUS. Crisp, smooth and full of flavor. Very easy to pick up the subtle notes in each. We had the cheese and meat board. Just enough to go with the wines and all very complimentary to the flavors. The views were very pretty and there are a bunch of sculptures on the property you can see.

Did someone say Sunday Brunch Board? Absolutely delish!! This winery is the hidden gem of Santa Rosa. Delish wines, amazing views and an excellent food menu which isn’t just charcuterie. Excellent service from our super knowledgeable and friendly host Jessi.

We had the privilege of having our recent wedding at Paradise Ridge Winery! The wedding couldn't have been more perfect, with a beautiful sunset overlooking the gorgeous grounds and vineyard, surrounded by our friends and loved ones in the most romantic setting ever. The venue itself is stunning and absolutely gorgeous - the many pictures online don't even do it justice. Jasmine and the team at the winery were a pleasure to work with, and everything went perfect as anticipated. We had high expectations, and even those were surpassed. Whether you are looking for a special wedding venue, or just a romantic winery to visit, Paradise Ridge will not disappoint!

Google
A family owned, super unique, beautiful experience for a winery. You can walk the grounds and appreciate the multitude of sculptures, then grab a tasting from their extra friendly staff. Don't miss their special events, such as wine and sunsets on Wednesdays, or become a member for the best member parties around! Food, music, bottomless wine, and personable staff, including the family of the winery, it's truly a blast!

I won a gift certificate for four tastings and a cheese plate at a business networking event at the winery. I love how they are having these kind of events and supporting our community growth. We got to learn so much about wine and the tasting was very interesting and informative. All of the wine is amazing! We got the special sandwiches and mediterranean plate totally recommend that. Everyone loved it. The views were spectacular and we had a great time after exploring the sculpture garden.

Yelp
Recommended by Hampton Inn front desk person. It is about 10 mins drive from Hampton Inn. We are glad we came here, the scene is beautiful with the sunset. They don't have wine tasting around 3:30pm. We a had glass of white wine 2022 Sauvignon Blanc, it was fruity and smell so good, we bought a bottle of it but somehow we got the year 2023? Not sure if the taste will be different.... Maybe the flyer printed wrong date. The red wine 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon rockpile was okay. Later tried the 2019 Carbernet Sauvignon barrel select rockpile , it was better and we got one bottle of it. Overall will recommend this winery.

Emme H.

Yelp
Industry please DO NOT BOTHER, on the weekends apparently they will NOT comp your tasting. Which is very odd, as most Sonoma and Napa county does. Regardless of day of week! Overall only good thing was the view.

Annie V.

Yelp
Literally my first stop when I land! I love the wine, vibes, view and food that Jessi hooks us up with, we love her!

Viviane K.

Yelp
Jessi made our experience 5 stars! This is a must stop if you love reds. We booked the 4 PM tasting which was perfect to watch the sunset. This is *the best place to watch the sunset* of any winery I've been to. There are two levels of seating and there are amazing views at every angle.

Kiana H.

Yelp
Went on a Saturday with my best friends sister-in-law who is a club member here. We did the complementary tasting for the club members which included a rosé, a brut and two reds one being a pino. The view is spectacular. I would've liked them to be a little more attentive to us, but they seemed really busy. Plus they had a wedding reception that was starting, but overall it was a good experience. I definitely want to come back on my own and try their other tasting options.

Yelp
Feels like you're above the clouds. Such a gorgeous winery, high in the Santa Rosa hills, it was the perfect place to celebrate Mardi Gras. There are plenty reasons to visit, not only for award winning wines but each month, even in winter, they have weekly events and they are Fun. Check out their calendar of events. I attended the Mardi Gras celebration. It was a blast with authentic New Orleans cuisine from Bayou On The Bay with an authentic New Orleans chef. I had the Mac & cheese with Crawfish, delicious. They had other classic New Orleans food too even Gator, yup that swap loving critter. As we laughed and enjoyed the collective joy in the room, Bourbon Street Brass Band played in the background. They blasted out classic NOLA Jazz. Paradise Ridge knows how to throw a party and make wine as well. We got there early enough to enjoy happy hour 5-6pm. We started with a sparkling rose that was a beautiful color matching the evening sunset and the flavor was as lovely. I moved on to their 2020 Convict Zinfandel, it was smooth & not overly fruity or heavy on the palate, as a lot of Zin's can be. It was perfect. I highly recommend both. Paradise Ridge Winery rises above most wineries, the location, surprisingly in Santa Rosa, high in the hills, offering an unprecedented view of the valley below. It faces west so there is a guarantee sunset, of course rain & excessive clouds would be a factor. It is an expansive setting with various art pieces throughout the property. It has many terraces with plenty of seating for large parties and smaller intimate areas as well. There is indoor seating and covered seating. It's a modern architecture building with plenty of parking. In the winter since it is pretty high up it can be a bit chilly so bundle up but don't let that hinder you. I highly recommend Paradise Ridge Winery for their selection of wines as well as location, it's Stunning. All the people that serve are exemplary. It's a must stop before you head further North up the road to other wineries or stop on the way back for a great glass of wine and a sunset that never gets old.

Yelp
I hadn't been here since one of our fires did alot of damage to their property. they have done a wonderful job of rebuilding. Their wines are good and their view is spectacular. Jesse was our hostess and was charming and helpful answering our questions about the wines and the rebuilding process. We plan to bring a large group of local gals here soon - they will love it! Thanks for a delightful day.

Yelp
The first stop during a recent trip to Sonoma! We had reservations for a weekday right when they opened, so there was not a single other soul visiting when we were - nice to have the place to ourselves! The winery is massive. Sitting on a large chunk of land, it has the winery itself, the vineyards, and a sculpture garden, so you can truly make a whole day of a visit. The winery is nicely upkept and looks brand new. The inside has a very large open space (would be perfect for events), and they also have a large outdoor patio. Since it was a nice summer day, we were glad to sit outside and enjoy the view of the vineyards from the patio! Our server was quite kind and knowledgeable, and I was excited to learn she was a fellow East Coaster originally. For tastings, you can select one of 3 options. Since it was early and warm, our server suggested going with the all white pairing, the "Summer Sippers Experience." This was the perfect way to try their varietals, and all were well crafted and refreshing. My personal fave was the Sav Blanc, but all were good. I took my time enjoying each one, so a bonus of being the only folks at the winery was that we felt 0% rushed. We did not eat while at Paradise Ridge, but I appreciated that they offered some bites to go with the wines. After we finished our tasting, we walked around the grounds and explored the sculpture garden a bit. Having the garden is so unique to Paradise Ridge, and it was a great touch to blend some art with wine. We walked over to the garden, which was easy enough, but it was also easy to drive over. There was some construction going on while we were there (I believe making an indoor event / art space), so I'm sure once that's ready, the experience will only be elevated. Overall, we had a great morning and afternoon tasting and exploring Paradise Ridge. Would definitely recommend to those visiting the Sonoma / Santa Barbara area!

Yelp
When in Santa Rosa... wine. I'm not much of a wine drinker, so four of us shared two flights. We also ordered a cheese and charcuterie board, which were pretty basic. The best thing about the place is the view. It overlooks the vineyards and city. There are also some large sculptures around the property. It wasn't too busy when we went on a Saturday around noon.

Kary A.

Yelp
Small family-owned winery with a cozy tasting room. Staff was very friendly. Location is beautiful! We got to see a beautiful sunset. Our server Jessi was just great. She told us all about the different options for tasting we had and what foods would pair well with them as well. We ended up getting the Estate experience and got a Charcuterie board to enjoy with our wines. Loved all the wines & the service. Can't wait to be back

Christina N.

Yelp
Nevermind the fact that this was my wedding venue, I can't say enough nice things about this place! For starters, it is gorgeous and I'm low key a lil obsessed. The wine and food alone are enough of a draw to come here. You stack on amazing views that will give you those IG-worthy shots and some of the friendliest staff I have ever met (Jessie is THE best!) and this is hands down a must stop for me whenever I'm in the area. Additional highlights: * sculpture garden - the giant LOVE sign is a great photo op * live music and food trucks every Wed from May - Oct * if you rent this as an event venue it comes with an outdoor pizza oven (contact them directly to book) Notes: - No, they didn't pay me or bribe me with wine to write this lol - Wear comfortable shoes, not all areas are paved depending on where you park and where you drink - ADA friendly! Ramps outdoors and an elevator indoors will let you move easily between both levels of the building

Yelp
Amazing wine... Great staff (especially Jesse and Andrew). Best view of any winery around. Just one of our favorites!!! Thank you Paradise Ridge.

Yelp
Great venue for events, whether indoor or outdoor, seated or standing. Beautiful views, cool sculptures.

Yelp
Beautiful location with panoramic views. We did the red wine flight. Excellent wines. Good service. They have a light food menu, complements the wine tasting very well. Enjoyed our visit. Jen made excellent recommendations and was very knowledgeable.

Kate B.

Yelp
Everything was perfect! The location with an absolutely beautiful view, my wine and our delightful hostess Jesse! Can't wait to return!

Glenda G.

Yelp
Beautiful spacious property! Many sculptures and things to drive down to and take your lovely pictures for memories. The grounds are beautiful with nice views. Now let's move on to the wines... I enjoyed the Brut Rosé for the tasting( $35) the others ones were lackluster. The sparkling Shiraz... oh dear not sure what they were thinking with that one... the burrata was yummy. Now let's move on to service! The customer service was a bit passive aggressive and pretentious. They claim to be " kid friendly" however I felt as though it was quite the opposite. Also one of the servers decided to pour a different selection of wine without asking or giving us a reason " I'll just pour this one for him" ...Thought this was odd. Extremely pricey for what we received overall. I would come here to admire the grounds but not for service or wine selection.

Amy H.

Yelp
We stopped by Paradise Ridge yesterday with our pup and had a tasting paired with chocolates. First - the setting is spectacular. Sweeping vistas of the Santa Rosa Valley and gorgeous sculptures on the drive up onto the property. Greeted by a stellar staff including Jenn and Andrew. The wines were delicious- so good we joined their club. I'm a big fan now. They have good varieties of wines and the club allows for choice of wines each quarter which is great. They offer summer events including music and food adventures. We're excited to head back and glad we decided to check it out!

Cherisa K.

Yelp
They're doing brunch on the weekends now. It's really beautiful and peaceful here, with a fantastic view!

Star M.

Yelp
A very welcoming winery in the foothills overlooking Santa Rosa towards the coast. The outdoor art is stunning also, so take the time to stroll through the various pieces. Their expansion & updating since the fire have really made this a great venue.

Julie M.

Yelp
Service - we stopped in for a glass of wine while on our bike ride. Very easy service. She brought us our glasses and let us enjoy the afternoon Ambiance - we had a beautiful day so sitting out enjoying the scenery, the quiet, the weather and most of all the wine was heaven. We love that this winery is basically in our backyard.

Sagruilla P.

Yelp
Beautiful hilltop view with vineyards below? Check. Wines that are easy to drink? Check? Tasting experience that feels fancy and special? Check. Bonus art walk around the grounds? Check. Post-fire comeback story? Check. This Santa Rosa tasting room offers everything you want in a winery, whether you are on a date, out with your spouse, with your gal pals, or showing around guests. If you are only choosing one place to taste, this is the one you want. They also have a variety of snacks, presented in a lovely way. This lets you enjoy the wines longer and linger in the beautiful setting. It's easy to get to from town.

Karen D.

Yelp
OMG! Their Sauvignon and Pinot Noir line up is delicious!!!! We were very impressed with the quality of their wines and the service provided. The winery is beautiful, we had time to take pictures in their garden and enjoy the amazing views. Jessi helped us, we were a party of four with Wine Passes and we appreciated the time and care during our visit. Thank you so very much!!

Shannon W.

Yelp
6/10/23 Jessi Wilson was a fantastic server! She gave me plenty of food ideas for food pairings with each wine she served and was very interactive helping us understand the process of how the estate ones were made. My personal favorites of the ones I tried were Cabernet musqué and Shiraz. I got a bottle of the Shiraz to go home with and have chocolate gelato. It was a fun date spot. The outdoor seating was warm and overlooking the vineyard. I had a good time.

Patrick G.

Yelp
The views are incredible. You drive up this residential road to this long, winding driveway. Once you reach the precipice, you are greeted by this amazing view, good wines, friendly staff and fun times. Glad I found you all.

Victor M.

Yelp
What attracted me to Paradise Ridge Winery was its hilltop location and Russian Valley views. The Byck family combined their 156 acres estate producing a family of wines with their love of art and an eclectic sculpture grove collection that includes installations from Burning Man scattered throughout the property. You can see a lot of the art driving up to the Reserve room. We definitely spent some extra time exploring the grounds and enjoying the artwork. Lovely and relaxing venue with a nice estate wine tasting selection for $35 per person. This winery also offers food snacks that you can order with your tasting. Service was generally good.

Jessica S.

Yelp
So beautiful and so much to look at! The tasting room is clean and inviting with indoor and outdoor seating. Their wine lists extend past the AVA typical of Pinot Nior & Chardonnay with plenty of options for everyone. The wine educators are kind and full of knowledge. They also have ever changing food options for small bites with vegan options! They also have a wine & sunset series Wednesday nights 6-8pm with live music, food trucks and options to picnic. 10/10 recommend for anyone looking to have a nice view and relaxing adventure.

Tracy D.

Yelp
This place gets 10 stars for the views and sculpture garden. What a beautiful estate overlooking Santa Rosa area, the hills and technically the freeway but you notice that less because of the stunning views. I imagine the events they have here are fun to attend and if I lived nearby I'd just walk up and have a glass of wine regularly. They also have snacks to go with wine. We had almonds. Service was friendly and attentive. I enjoyed the Pinot Noir wines. All of the wines are fairly light and easy in the pallet. I walked away with the Sparkling Shiraz because it was unique and easy to drink. Definitely a place to come check out.

Angela B.

Yelp
We had amazing service with Jessie and fantastic food! We had red and white tastings and everything was amazing! Probably the first winery where we liked every wine through our tastings!

Samira A.

Yelp
Beautiful wine room and vineyard in Santa Rosa. Service was excellent and wine was delightful. There's snacks and cheese/charcuterie platter. Kid friendly as long as they don't run around. There's plenty of cool sculptures on the vineyard.

Emily J.

Yelp
My cousin Zach H actually recommended we check out Paradise Ridge after he and his wife checked it out during their visit to the Bay Area last spring. A friends' day exploring the area was the perfect excuse to finally check it out. (Check out his review too.) We were worried we wouldn't be able to fully enjoy the beautiful grounds of the winery, due to a particularly stormy day, although the rain thankfully took a break and we even got a bit of sunshine as we were finishing up our tasting. Everything was wonderful during our visit, from the service to the wine to the bites. I definitely recommend adding on some cheese and charcuterie, because this was a lovely addition to our experience. Also be sure to build in some extra time for exploring the grounds and the incredible sculptures. Fantastic photo opps abound. One friend decided to join the wine club which waived our tasting fees AND also ensures that we will definitely be back! Looking forward to more tasting and exploring at Paradise Ridge.

Amy T.

Yelp
Loved this winery! Jessie served our table and was super funny and made our experience memorable. Definitely stop by if you're near the area. The wines we tasted were all lovely, and we the view and weather was beautiful too. We ordered the burrata with naan and crackers, which was a nice addition to the wine. Will have to come back to try more foods!

Carmen G.

Yelp
Amazing lunch boards, great staff, and great tastings ! Perfect place to come with friends and family. Also amazing view.

Alexis S.

Yelp
Wouldn't let me wine taste because my ID was expired. I understand but also had a temporary license and the ID also shows my date of birth.. seems kind of pretentious. Would not return.

David Y.

Yelp
Great wine tasting experience with an amazing view overlooking the hillside. The sparkling whites and reds were my favorite - as it was a bit warm and sparkling is always refreshing. Wasn't super impressed with the reds they offered but they weren't bad. Really enjoyed the overall experience of great company, good wine, cheese and crackers, and the salmon mousse. Lovely place and price point is spot on! Will come back for sure.

Andrea C.

Yelp
Brunch board was the most amazing way to start our day of wine tasting! Very welcoming and helpful staff!

Nina Z.

Yelp
Actual rating: 3 1/2 stars. Lovely outdoor seating area on the balcony with a beautiful view of the vineyards, mountains, and skyline. I had made an appointment ahead of time. Due to understaffing, we were seated past our reservation time, but our host apologized and did not rush us throughout the tasting. In fact, he offered us three additional pours of other wines not included in the flight. Our host was nice but spent a great deal of time going into detail on each of the wines to the point that it was overwhelming. We had ordered two flights at $25 apiece: one white and one red. I did find it strange that there was no palate cleanser to be seen, especially with the red wines! The wines are definitely on the pricier side. Aside from the Sauvignon Blanc and the Rodé, everything else was priced $40 and up. We ended up getting the sparkling Blanc de Blanc and their Cabernet Sauvignon (Elevation) albeit pricey. Did I mention the sculpture garden? Along the drive up and from the balcony, you can see pieces of art scattered throughout. Apparently, the owner was one of the founders of Burning Man and this was his way of paying homage to that. If you're looking for a relaxing afternoon admiring the view and sipping on some wine with some artwork to admire along the way, I recommend checking out Paradise Ridge.

Jenna S.

Yelp
This place was BEAUTIFUL! The views from here is really really amazing. Seeing the sunset while drinking wine and eating dinner can't be beat. However, the service we received was just not very good. We had a reservation for the sunset summer nights and the lady that checked us in was very rude and just didn't make us feel very welcomed. They serve you at your tables, and the waitress couldn't be found sometimes. The wine was also very average and we had a lot of great wines at other places in the Sonoma area. They did have a food truck on property that had good food and we were happy with that experience.

Joyce T.

Yelp
So the winery is wonderful but this is for the grounds dotted with huge metal sculptures mostly in the steampunk theme. There is about 3 roadways that will lead you to the amplitheater, main sculpture park and perhaps a private road dotted with more huge sculptures down the road. The sculptures are imaginative and very securely made. It is a marvelous area to also catch expansive vista views. Lots of birds singing and flying around by amplitheater area. What a treat!

Jasper P.

Yelp
My girlfriend's sister has a membership here and they invited us. We brought our 4 year old as well. Apparently with a membership you get free tastings anytime for the member and a guest. Given the modern/burning man vibes and the generous free tasting policy my expectations for the quality of the wine were pretty low but I was very pleasantly surprised. The grounds are great and the wine greatly exceeded expectations.

Ann L.

Yelp
After hiking at Taylor Mtn I drove 10min North to Paradise Ridge Winery, Santa Rosa Sat 3/20/21. Free to walk around to see outdoor art I got the last spot waiting for person pull out at Love Meadow. I've heard it's Burning Man art. There were about 10 giant artwork there. Then I asked a lady how to see the other artwork further away, she said walk by the gate that said No Trespassing. There were about 10 more artwork. Friend said let's go this other way so we then got to see their outdoor Sculpture Garden. More artwork! All worth checking out, wish I had more time to check out their tasting room. Go if you are in Santa Rosa.

Kelly M.

Yelp
Hands down the best food at a winery on this side of the valley. So happy to find a legitimate (and spectacular) lunch while we enjoy incredible views at Paradise Ridge. As always, the wine was amazing, but I really wanted to write this review to give a nod to the addition to the menu. My husband and I ordered two of their sandwiches and man oh man, pure happiness.

Katie L.

Yelp
We found this place on instagram/yelp and the photos convinced us to come here. This place is AMAZING! The view is breathtaking and the people who work there are fantastic. We went with a group for my birthday and were able to get a reservation about a week in advance. The bonus is all the art they have around the property that you are able to view and take pictures with. Of course I was clueless but my boyfriend proposed to me here in front of the giant LOVE sign and it was perfect!

Nirvana K.

Yelp
We celebrated our friends 30th birthday here. Beautiful winery with incredible food and wine pours. Would definitely recommend coming here for a relaxing Sunday or with a group of friends. Check it out!

Tiffany S.

Yelp
I would say this is one of the most beautiful "with a view" wineries I've been to. Our 3 and 5y kids were a little bored up at the actual winery (hospitality place they called the main building for tastings) bc it's sort of on an edge so they couldn't really frolic off, but after we had a glass we went down to the sculptures and arts fields where they ran around and enjoyed the free field and fun scene. Wine was very good as well. Overall would recommend to those visiting the area!

Helen K.

Yelp
Hidden gem in Santa Rosa. I went yesterday with a friend to see the sculpture. After winding through residential neighborhoods there was a sign for the winery. The size and the varied areas to enjoy the artwork is amazing. From a beautiful oak grove to awesome views, some art from burning man a very special memorial grove where people leave messages for their loved ones. Amazing event space, sunset wine tasting, etc. The dining/ tasting area was rebuilt after a fire and apparently is similar to the old structure only better. The two friendly staff members we spoke to are in the process of learning about the history and art at the winery. We plan on coming back for a sunset wine tasting.

Lee Ann P.

Yelp
We were able to visit 4 wineries during our day in Sonoma and this was by far our favorite. This was the winery I knew nothing about and it was the sweetest surprise. The views are stunning, and the staff member who served us was very fun and extremely informational. We were able to try 4 wines, plus they gave us a glad off bubbly since we were celebrating for my bachelorette. I would HIGHLY recommend visiting this winery if you are looking for places to go while in the Sonoma area.

Jeremy C.

Yelp
I found this hidden gem before taking a flight back home to LA. The space is beautiful and the food and drinks are a 10/10. Out of all the places I've been to in the area this location is by far the best. What truly makes me come back is Jessi! She's is so funny, knowledgeable, and makes me feel close to home. Jessi thank you for being amazing and super funny and your authentic self. I will always make sure to stop by for some tasting and laughs with Jessi. For whoever reads this if I could I would give this place 100 stars.
