"One of several locations in San Diego, the focus here is on health-conscious foods for all types of eaters—vegan, keto, paleo, gluten-free, and non-dieters. Popular items include the avocado toast with crunchy mung beans and beet spirals and the acai bowl, made with gluten-free granola and an array of berries surrounding a dollop of almond butter. Pair with the honey cinnamon latte or the turmeric latte." - Helen I. Hwang

Parakeet Restaurant has a nice ambiance, but overall the experience was just average. The food was okay—nothing particularly memorable or worth the high prices. For what you pay, you’d expect better quality or more generous portions. The service was fine, not bad but not especially attentive or warm either. One plus is the availability of free parking, which made getting in and out easy. If you’re nearby and curious, it might be worth trying once, but I wouldn’t go out of my way for it.

Google
Parakeet Café at One Paseo is one of my favorite spots for breakfast and brunch. The ambiance is cozy and stylish, with its charming wallpaper and inviting vibe. My go-to is the salmon and eggs (I always ask for poached eggs in this dish) —healthy, balanced, and filling. When I was gluten-free, I loved substituting the toast in that dish with a charcoal waffle, which was also pretty good. Their gluten-free, no-refined-sugar cookies are a must-try—you’d never guess they’re sugar-free! While some dishes haven’t stood out as much, the lattes and other drinks are consistently amazing. A perfect spot for a delicious and healthy meal. Also, I’ve often bumped into friends here, making it feel even more special.

Went to eat here yesterday and noticed there were a ton of flies all over the food in the pastry display case. I mentioned it to the server and suggested they remove the food and quit selling it. She said she knew the flies were there because the doors to the case broke but didn't really seem interested in doing anything about it. She took out a handheld vacuum about 5 minutes later and vacuumed up all the flies. They continued selling the pastries to people knowing that there had been flies all over them. Will not be returning to this location ever.

Parakeet Café is one of my favorite spots for brunch! Their selection of healthy breakfast and lunch options is amazing. I had the charcoal waffle, which was gluten-free but still incredibly fluffy and delicious—especially with the homemade coconut cream on top. Their lattes are so creamy and perfectly rounded in taste, definitely a must-try. And to top it off, they have the cutest to-go cups ever! The atmosphere is great, and it’s the perfect place to enjoy a delicious, healthy meal

Love this place. Been coming here since the beginning of 2021 and the employees are always sweet and helpful. Emma and Sanoe are always on point with my Latte and Paola is very professional. ALSO, they are all ultra sweet to my Corgi CASH! This place is ALWAYS chill. Love it! A++++

Google
We’ve visited many Parakeet locations and were a bit disappointed with our drinks at this one. The espresso drinks were significantly less strong and too milky tasting and the blueberry muffin only had about four blueberries at the bottom of the muffin. I like that they have healthy options for eating out but consistency among locations is so important. The employees were super nice but this location did not meet our expectations in terms of the food and drink.

Google
I visited this place with family for breakfast and tried sea salt caramel latte, Chilaquiles, Greens and Grains bowl, and Brown butter chocolate chip cookie. Chilaquiles could be better. It was very tangy, and the other flavors in the dish didn't blend well. The latte was sensational, and so was the cookie. Greens and Grains bowl was a hit, and I enjoyed the ambiance and outdoor seating.

Google
Great food, cozy ambience, perfect spot for weekend brunch. We ordered the Power bowl and the shakshuka. Both were really good. Pretty filling portion sizes too. Picked up the banana oat muffin, pecan bar and the vegan dark chocolate chip cookie to go. The muffin was too sweet but the pecan bar was just perfect.

Yelp
Service - 5/5 : quick and efficient. order came out quick and anything we needed was taken care of quickly. we sat outside so to not be "forgotten" was really nice. Food - 5/5 : definitely coming back! No seed oils? YES PLS! So many places have gross seed oils so to find a diamond in the rough is amazing!

Yelp
One of the best oat latte I have had so far. If you like nutty flavor coffee, this is one place you should try. Lovely pink cup, verying inviting.

Yelp
A perfect spot for brunch place! Outside patio in the sun and that weekend vibe! Two friends and I came to this place on Sunday. Ordered Shakshouka, squah soup, breakfast burrito, and parajeet bowl. Each food tasted healthy, delicious, and fresh. Also got iced Americano, iced mint macha, and latte. They have free homemade almond milk, which I didn't personally like that much! But they don't charge extra for almond milk, so it's worth trying. We were all extremely happy with our foods and drinks. All staff was so nice.

Yelp
Trying to keep it real. I loved the breakfast burrito a few days ago so got it tonight (breakfast for dinner!)... but the egg inside was overcooked and dry. So it was not nearly as good as the other day. So sometimes this place is great and sometimes less great. But overall I still like it and will keep trying different things.

Yelp
I DO wonder how they make their matcha lattes ... everything is pre-mixed and poured out of a bottle... I'm not used to that. Even though the matcha latte was ok enough .. I would drink .. I prefer to see the mixing of the powder in hot water and then the rest of the drink commences after that to get it to be chilled , iced and in milk.

Yelp
My first and likely only visit to Parakeet Cafe in One Paseo was disappointing. My husband and I were looking forward to a casual dining experience on Sunday morning and left feeling ripped off and frustrated. Our total bill was $39 without anything to drink for an acai bowl and a breakfast burrito. Yes, they're using quality ingredients but are charging at least $5-6 more for each item and serving it at a smaller volume and without any value added. I was going to order a seasonal latte but refuse to pay $10 for one coffee. The burrito was good, but very small. The acai bowl was underwhelming and seemed to have more granola than acai. The almond butter and fresh raspberries were a nice touch. We started off on the quiet patio only to be overtaken by two separate groups of 10+ kids and their parents, including one woman who kept hovering and waiting for us to leave so she could snatch up another table. I don't think I'll be returning but never want to say never.

Yelp
I enjoyed the food and ambiance! The only thing I didn't like as much was the service... some of the girls have an attitude...

Yelp
My friend has a severe gluten allergy and told the cashier that she has this allergy and that the sandwich needs to be all gluten free. Waitress said "no problem". When they brought the food out, they gave her a normal sandwich with a regular bun. THANK GOD we looked around and noticed that it looked exactly like the non-gluten free buns and asked them to remake it and reinforced it was an allergy. She brought back another sandwich but still didn't feel comfortable risking it and couldn't eat it. We specifically chose this place because of the many gluten free options and were very disappointed that it was not taken seriously. Besides that, the food itself was very bland, chicken was extremely dry, and prices are ridiculous. Very disappointed all around. Would not recommend.

Tiffany Y.

Yelp
Outrageously overpriced!!! Ordered a cup of soup...$11 for one piece of chicken, maybe 5 noodles and some chopped veggies in a cup comparable to a coffee. Not even flavorful.

Yelp
Birthday Shaynanigans!!! Wanted to celebrate somewhere local, aesthetically cute, and of course delicious food! Parakeet Cafe came to mind and it was the perfect spot for a birthday lunch meetup. Location/ambiance: Such a cute and trendy little gem in beautiful Del Mar!! Plenty of parking (street or parking structure). Loved the interior and must I say instagram-able! I even took a photo with their infamous wall! There are indoor and outdoor seating but we settled inside instead and it wasn't busy on a Saturday afternoon. Menu: It's an extensive menu and I'm so glad they offer vegan options. The turmeric latte is a winner! I love turmeric so this was a must! I'll have to get their waffles next time because I heard it's delectable and from the photos, beautifully decorated. I do eat with my eyes too and I appreciate the presentation. A bit pricey, but the quality of ingredients and location makes up for it. I hear their desserts on display are scrumptious with gluten-free and vegan options. My friend bought a vegan cookie and gobbled it down! It was that good! All in all, this has been one of my favorite local spots. The convenient location, plenty of parking, friendly staff, healthy and filling menu items, and decor keeps me coming back!

Yelp
I am a frequent Parakeet Cafe customer, and highly recommend this location over the others. However, the service this last time made me question whether I will come back or not. We ordered two harvest toasts with egg and one on gluten free bread. My sister has a gluten allergy and never forgets to ask for this. They delivered our order to the table and both were regular sourdough. We informed the waitress, and she apologized and went back to the kitchen. Two minutes later, she comes back and asks which ticket was the gluten free on and that it wasn't noted by the cashier. To note, when we arrived she barely greeted us and looked up from her phone, so makes sense why she missed this important request. The server comes back to inform us since it wasn't on our ticket, we would have to go up and pay for the difference. I was appalled, I work in customer service and this not how you handle a mistake on your end. I told the server we clearly asked for gluten free and it was not our mistake. She just looked at us and said she would be back. She never came back and 15 minutes later they delivered the gluten free toast. I don't mind ever paying for gluten free options, that's just how it is. But to come back and ask for $2/$3 more because of your mistake is just wild. Why wouldn't they just fix it and apologize? We spend so much money coming to this place, it isn't cheap but we enjoy it every single time. that really just didn't sit well.

Yelp
This location is the best. I drive over 20 minutes to come and do work here. The food is always on point. Have never had any issues with orders and everything always comes out quick. Really love the set up and layout of this one. Really nice to bring your laptop and do work. The staff is so friendly and sweet here. They're so accommodating and thoughtful. Very sweet to my pup and are genuinely nice people. Really some of the best staff I've encountered in a cafe. Great management. I go out of my way to come here often now. Highly recommend!

Yelp
My friends and I are love this place a lot! Especially they have really tasty coffee and healthy food, the service are always friendly, also , they have beautiful decorating!

Yelp
Nestled in the heart of Carmel Valley, Parakeet Cafe is a gem in the breakfast scene.

Yelp
Love coming here. Been here numerous times and the food is always quality (for the most part) and the drinks are great too! It's such. Cute little cafe and love the ingredients are quality. I recently had their breakfast burrito and loved it! Great size and they do a wonderful job frothing their milks for their hot drinks.

Yelp
Food is good. It tasted healthy to me. The staff are also friendly. I recommend going on a day when the weather is nice.

Yelp
The food is so good here, as are their wellness lattes and drinks. Everything is so cute and the ambiance is very nice for a fast casual restaurant (you order & pay first, grab a number and find your own seat, then a server will bring your food and drink out to you). I love their pastries, and they have a lot of great options for people with dietary restrictions. I particularly like their zucchini bread and chocolate chip cookie...I need to try some of their other pastries as well. Their wellness lattes are quite pricey but it's because their ingredients are top notch. Still difficult to shell out $10 for a drink though...so I stick to the matcha lattes and normal coffee drinks. I also enjoy their toasts (especially the mushroom toast, the truffle oil is soooo good) and their waffles are just so beautiful I almost feel bad eating it. It doesn't just look good though it also tastes great! So happy that they're close by.

Yelp
A very aesthetically pleasing café. I came here today in the afternoon and it wasn't too busy for Thursday afternoon. Just how I like it. I ordered the Charcoal Waffle -- which consisted of activated charcoal Belgian waffle, date coconut cream, strawberries, banana, house-made granola, house-made nutella. I didn't mean to order this though... I meant to order the original Belgian waffle they had. But since they already brought it out to me I did not want to complain because it was my fault lol. The waffle was fresh and flavorful... My favorite part about it was honestly the fresh fruit and coconut cream on top. The presentation was great however the only thing that I did not really like was at the waffle was pretty soggy and there was no crispy edges or anything. they have a great indoor seating area which is very colorful and relaxing. They also have an outdoor patio where dogs are allowed. You'll have to park in the structure right beside it and parking is fairly easy to get. And as always... I am so glad that parking is free here. Now onto pricing... It's definitely an overpriced café to eat at bat for the portion size... It's pretty fair. The waffle I ordered could've been easily shared by two or three people. For my first time here... It wasn't a bad experience at all. if you're in the area or happen to be in the area of one of their other locations... I'd recommend coming here.

Yelp
I am not even sure how I don't have a review here. I literally go to this location multiple times a week. I love this place for all of the options they have - the food is delicious; both breakfast and lunch. And their coffees and teas are amazing, some of my favorites are the overnight oats, mushroom toast, vegan tortilla soup, macrobiotic bowl with tofu, immunitea and their lavender coffee. Honestly you can't go wrong with this place!

Yelp
Paid by card. I went here on a Monday morning around 9:30 AM and there were some people sitting inside. This place is pretty cute. I was able to order right away and didn't have issues ordering, although the cashier didn't seem that happy to be there. My party of 3 and I ordered an iced Matcha, dirty Chai, and some pastries. I thought the dirty Chai and pastries were ok. I was a little disappointed, actually, since I heard really good things about this place. Not sure I'd come back here again but glad I tried it so say I tried it.

Yelp
We had lunch here , it was freezing outside so we decided to eat inside . The two doors were wide open and it was freezing. One of the guys that worked there said we could close the door. Then this woman , who worked there came and opened the door. When I told her we were freezing she said well we can t shut the door. The way in Which she said it was so rude and it was freezing. The food was good, not great. I think the service left us with a negative feel. We come here frequently and the service is always just sub par .
google avatar

Yelp
Healthy eats! Good: - Reasonable price and good portion. - Good service Bad: - Hummus and salads weren't fresh - Salad dressing wasn't special - Street parking

Yelp
In the area for a soccer tournament in the Del Mar area, our party of five (two adults and three kids) were seeking a late lunch after a Saturday game... I remembered some friends raving about Parakeet, so I insisted we head here and we were not disappointed with our decision! My husband and I shared a zucchini muffin and a bowl of squash soup. I also had the green goddess salad with salmon and he had a burrito. My son enjoyed his kids' order of rice and chicken followed by a snickerdoodle cookie, and my daughter did quite well with her Caesar Salad with chicken... also followed by a snickerdoodle cookie Her teammate had a pink lemonade and a brownie. The lemonade was the only thing that was not a hit. We all like a fast casual concept and Parakeet offered a great vibe with indoor and outdoor seating and five star service. It's pricey but the quality is there... I will be back!
google avatar

Ramya M.

Yelp
I really wanted to try the Hommage Bakehouse's pop up at One Paseo. So I dragged my kids along early one Sunday morning. But the pop up had very limited offering and I decided on the nearby Parakeet Cafe instead. Being my first time here, I just let my kids pick their breakfast. We got a Belgian Waffle and a Harvest Toast. After I paid and tipped for the meal, I caught sight of the kids' menu which was to the side on the counter and wasn't included in the main menu card. I did a double take when I noticed everything on the kids' menu was priced at 10$. I just spent over 40$ on my kids' breakfast! Ridiculous!! The lady at the counter saw my kids order off the main menu, she could have easily pointed out the kids menu!! It was just 8 ish in the morning and the place wasn't busy at all, so it wasn't like she had too much going on. While the food was great, I thought the customer service was lacking. Otherwise I would have loved it here.
google avatar

Alicia K.

Yelp
All aesthetics, 3/5 taste. If you come here, you won't be disappointed by the pictures you get, but your stomach might be! You order at the front and seat yourself. Patio is super cute for a sunny day. We ordered: -Kaleidoscope Salad with Chicken (3/5): chicken was dry and flavorless, points for fresh greens and the spiced yogurt -Farro Salad with Salmon (3/5): again, salmon was a little overcooked! this place is really expensive for what you get, $29 without tax and tip (+$11 to add salmon) -Matcha Latte (0/5): the most watery drink I've ever had in my life yikes :/
google avatar

Shawna M.

Yelp
I'm gonna start off by saying I love parakeet cafe. I go into their other locations including this one pretty regularly, however, today my experience was not so pleasant. I ordered coffee and a salad and was not given basic utensils to eat my food with, however, when I asked for utensils and a bag for my Togo order the person working there seemed annoyed. I didn't really appreciate how the people working there were and my food was really horrible as well. The lettuce was really soggy, there was no dressing and the flavor really wasn't there. It is the worst salad I have ever had. This isn't typical to parakeet but doesn't stop me from feeling disappointed.
google avatar

Beth T.

Yelp
I cannot say more amazing things about this place! I am always on the hunt for good gluten free options and not only does this place have you covered with gluten free items but dairy free, egg free, soy free, options as well and they are DELICIOUS!! My friend who is not an any restrictive diet enjoyed the allergy free options very much. I ordered the turmeric latte with coconut milk, so nourishing and delicious . I also got the gluten free vegan charcoal waffle with 100% maple syrup and coconut whipped cream....... Yes this exists and yes it's as delicious as it sounds! It's so so good! I never get to order waffles, so this was a real treat. My friend ordered the eggs Benedict and said it was good . I'm so glad we came here and it will not be the last. And the service was impeccable

Yelp
The Del Mar location has become one of my go-to places when meeting friends for brunch. I enjoy the casual and friendly vibe, the aesthetics and the creative menu with many vegetarian and vegan options. Most of the dishes I've tried have been very good--my favorites so far are the breakfast burrito and mushroom toast--and everything is artistically presented. There's a sizable outdoor patio and dogs are allowed, so I can bring my fur-baby with me. The staff are friendly, and I love the free parking in the parking structures. Once, when I was visiting a friend in La Jolla, I tried ordering a couple of meals online from the Parakeet Cafe that was a couple of blocks away. I couldn't believe how difficult it was. I had to start over a couple of times, and when I arrived at the cafe to pick up the order, I learned that the order hadn't gone through. I had to wait about 15 minutes while they made the food, and when I got back to my friend's apartment, the eggs were cold. A new Parakeet Cafe will be "landing" soon in a Carlsbad location that is much closer to me. I'll definitely be checking it out.

Tanner K.

Yelp
I personally LOVE parakeet cafe! For someone with gluten and dairy allergies looking for great food, Parakeet is hard to beat and their food & drinks are fantastic! I usually order an Açaí Bowl or Avocado Toast with a flat black latte, always incredible! Staff is super friendly, food and drinks always come out fast, cute dinning area inside and outside! I've never seen this location of parakeet particularly busy, it's quiet and cute! If it is packed, One Paseo mall has plenty of outdoor seating and great ambiance! Although on the pricier end, I recommend giving it a try at least once, I don't think you will be disappointed! Especially if you're not local to San Diego, I'd consider Parakeet Cafe a local special!

Yelp
Coffee and drinks are delicious but the food is really so so. I don't recommend to eat at here but their drinks are good and I love the atmosphere here.
google avatar

Yelp
This place was aesthetically cute and it had a long line too but definitely worth the wait. The drinks and pastry were delightful and the cups are pink and cute. I'm super glad we stopped on the way home.

Jami B.

Yelp
No lie, I come here at least once a day. Best matcha in San Diego and the burger really is the best burger of all time. One thing you can count on is for parakeet to deliver on quality and customer service. Ava and Caren are amazing and I look forward to seeing them daily. Parakeet girlie for life over here!!!
google avatar

Brian D.

Yelp
There's plenty of parakeet cafes in the area and they're always busy. The lines moves pretty quick and the people move in and out so there were tables always opening up. The main part of my meal was the açaí bowl which was more of a sorbet style. The toppings were all super fresh with a tasty granola.
google avatar

Zuli M.

Yelp
For such a basic dish, it was fresh, flavorful, and delicious! The service was friendly and quick. The place is always busy but not annoying which is nice. I probably wouldn't come out of my way to come here but if I was near by, I wouldn't mind stopping by!
google avatar

Parisa M.

Yelp
The ambiance was so friendly and welcoming. We had a great time with our friends. I ordered a lavender latte which I have never tried at any place. I would recommend this place to everyone.

Yelp
Yesterday was my first time trying Parakeet Cafe and it simply could not have been a better experience. I was greeted by the warm welcome of Ava and made me feel right at home! She gave me incredible recommendations and had great insight about the menu. Then I was so fortunate to have had the best experience with Bella as well. Her warm and bubbly personality made it all worth it. Her positive energy was absolutely contagious and deserves all the recognition she receives! I will 10/10 be returning to parakeet based off my wonderful experience with these two.

Jackie T.

Yelp
First time here and definitely a fan. I can't believe how much they had to choose from. The gentleman behind the counter was awesome. The decor inside was cute and funny. The bathroom door had a poop emoji. I ordered the avocado toast and definitely one of the biggest ones I've had. Very filling and tasty. If you had not a had the chance to try this place out please stop by if you're around the area. I can't wait to come back and try something else. Thank you Parakeet Cafe for a great first time experience.
google avatar

JiaJia T.

Yelp
Cute, trendy cafe with healthy choices for brunch and interesting latte/tea flavors. There was a line but it moved quickly and after ordering, the dishes didn't take too long to arrive. I opted for the power bowl and a tumeric latte. Really good flavors all around, and I loved all the different ingredients in the bowl. The portions were perfect. The prices are a bit steep but in line for the location. A good choice for brunch if you're in the area.

Yelp
Ah, the iced mocha at Parakeet Cafe, nestled in the vibrant town of Del Mar, California. This delightful concoction is a true embodiment of coffee bliss, offering a unique and refreshing twist on the classic beverage. As I took my first sip, a symphony of flavors danced upon my palate. The smooth, velvety texture of the espresso blended seamlessly with the chilled indulgence of the creamy milk. It was a harmonious union that sent waves of delight coursing through my veins. But what truly set this iced mocha apart was the subtle infusion of flavors that elevated it to new heights. The gentle kiss of dark chocolate added a rich, bittersweet note that balanced perfectly with the robustness of the espresso. It was a decadent pairing that would make even the most discerning coffee connoisseur swoon with delight. As I savored each sip, I couldn't help but appreciate the artistry behind this beverage. The baristas at Parakeet Cafe possess an innate talent for crafting the perfect balance of coffee and chocolate, ensuring that every element is in harmony. It was evident that their passion for quality and attention to detail shone through in each glass. The ambiance of Parakeet Cafe further enhanced the experience. The airy, sunlit space provided a tranquil oasis, allowing me to relax and indulge in the sensory journey that unfolded with every sip. The warm smiles of the staff added a touch of hospitality, making me feel welcomed and appreciated as I embarked on this delightful coffee adventure. If you find yourself in Del Mar, California, seeking respite from the warm sunshine and a moment of caffeinated bliss, look no further than Parakeet Cafe's iced mocha. It is a beverage that exemplifies the perfect marriage of flavors, craftsmanship, and ambiance. Prepare to be captivated by the symphony of taste and the artistry that awaits you at this charming cafe.

Yelp
Been here a bunch and always go back to my two favs! The All I Avo wanted blue corn waffle and charcoal sweet waffle. Both are so unique and tasty! The Avo waffle comes with a really tasty chili oil that adds great flavor. The sweet waffle is unheard of and so delish with not too much sweetness but right enough and topped with fruit! Great vanilla latte as always! Love this place

Yelp
Really delicious healthy food that makes you feel good after. Its definitely on the pricer side for some items. I think I got a waffle and it was around $17. Delicious but literally came with 1 waffle. I got the Macrobiotic bowl with tofu ($18+$7=$25) cause I was wanting asian flavors. It was exactly what I was looking for but unfortunately it was SO SALTY. Maybe I'll ask for the sauce on the side next time? The flavor was good still, so I would give it another chance. Plentiful seating and cute decor. Would come here more often if it wasn't so pricey.

Yelp
We were visiting San Diego and looking for a vegetarian friendly restaurant, with no use of seed oils in the food preparation. This restaurant Absolutely exceeded all of our expectations. The food was amazing. The service was good. The ambience was cool. We went to the La Jolla mall, location and then afterwords walked around the mall. It was just a really nice time and I recommend it for anyone looking for a place to go in San Diego.

Yelp
I'm really not sure. This is one of those times where I had to take a step back and think if I really didn't like this place because I'm not in their target audience, I came in with too high of an expectation, or I'm simply looking at "cafes" through a specific lens. I came here with a friend after studying at the public library and wanting to continue our weekend grind. I looked up "coffee" on maps and found this place, accompanied with pictures of yummy lattes and good decor. Fact check true! It's inside of One Paseo, an upscale shopping center in Del Mar. I had the Iced Matcha Latte with a Twist. It had Matcha, blue spirulina, raw honey, and milk of your choice which went really great together and tasted healthy. We had the option of getting our drinks for here, which is extra props. As I mentioned before, I came here to get some work done, and I have to say this is not the place to do that. There was no free wifi, and the employees do make sure to tell you that. That's totally fine though. I saw some past reviews that laptops are "banned" from the establishment, which got me mortified as someone with social anxiety, but luckily I made it through. I don't know if this was enforced in the past, but I would definitely avoid a place like that. It did feel unwelcoming though, as it made me feel like I was taking up space in there. Parakeet Cafe folks, please reply to this if I'm completely wrong! I'm not going to ding them too much on that because I definitely came in with too high and too specific of an expectation. Is this the place to take meetings and crunch some numbers? No. Is this the place for a second or third date? Maybe! Parakeet, I'm willing to give you another shot sometime.

Yelp
Good chill lunch/brunch option if you're looking for something healthy and quick ish. You order at the counter and then find an open table. I ordered the harvest toast which is like an elevated avocado toast and the power bowl. Both are excellent choices. I also ordered an iced lavender matcha which was a little disappointing because I couldn't really taste the lavender.

Yelp
This cafe has a great ambiance. They play really nice eclectic music and the decor is brilliant. There was a young woman at the counter I did not catch her name but the receipt said "Master C," for the cash register. I was there on Friday afternoon around 4pm PST. The drink I had was a latte and it was quite amazing. I really loved the pink cup with the image of the pink parakeet. Branding was on point all the way through the experience. Can't wait to come back in the future.

Yelp
I had the Parakeet Bowl with salmon which was fantastic but my friend had the breakfast sandwich which was not something I would ever order. He said it was dry. Oh! The turmeric warm drink was terrific the taste of ginger did not over power the turmeric. I definitely will be back. The service was great. Thank you

Yelp
Parakeet Cafe in Del Mar has secured a special place in my tummy as both a go-to lunch spot and a favorite brunch destination. Whenever I'm in the mood for a satisfying and reliable dining experience, Parakeet Cafe is my top choice. One of the standout features of Parakeet Cafe is its ability to consistently offer a wide array of great choices for both lunch and brunch. The menu is thoughtfully crafted, ensuring that there's something to please every palate. Whether you're looking for something light and refreshing or hearty and indulgent, you can count on Parakeet Cafe to deliver. The chai tea at Parakeet Cafe is a true masterpiece. Its rich and aromatic blend is simply irresistible, making it a beverage that can brighten any morning or afternoon. But the real star of the show is their egg benedict with poblano sauce. The combination of perfectly poached eggs, a luscious poblano sauce, and a delicious base is a harmonious symphony of flavors that leaves a lasting impression. Parakeet Cafe has managed to carve out a niche as a place of culinary delight and a source of comfort. It's the kind of place you can rely on, whether you're seeking a familiar favorite or eager to try something new. With its amazing chai tea, unforgettable egg benedict, and a charming atmosphere, Parakeet Cafe in Del Mar continues to win the hearts and palates of those lucky enough to discover its delights.

Yelp
Still outstanding as always! Carmel Valley location is the best. A lot more space to eat.

Yelp
This is my first time here at parakeet Café. Once I came in, I chose a table that I want to sit out and decided what I wanted to get on the menu and got a number to place at our table. I ordered a snickerdoodle cookie, berry cacao waffle, shakshuka (which is basically yogurt and chew host eggs with tomato sauce and feta cheese w toasted bread) , then we ordered the blue mint magic latte with oat milk and ice matcha latte with a twist. The iced Matcha latte with a twist, tasted mostly of milk, and not that sweet, but the color is beautiful. The blue mint magic latte was very minchi and refreshing, good palette cleanser. She shakshuka was very flavorful and tasty. There was a little hint to spice to it, but nothing to be alarmed. I would give that a 9/10 I wish there was more bread. The berry cacao waffle was very cakey, not crispy nor crunchy, and very dense.

Yelp
Surprisingly healthy and tasty food. Glad to discover it. Will certainly return to try other menu items. The burger was really good and shukshuka was excellent
