"What It Is: The second location of one of our favorite Australian cafes in LA Perfect For: Breakfast, Keeping It Kind Of Healthy, Lunch The first Paramount Coffee Project on Fairfax is an Australian cafe that feels just like a daytime spot in Sydney or Melbourne - without any people going out of their way to call you mate. When we checked out their new location in DTLA’s Row development, we found a spot with a pretty similar feel, even if it is four times the size of the original, with completely different food. The menu has a mix of breakfast stuff (like coconut oats) and lunch options (like an excellent tea leaf salad), but the best thing we ate was the curried egg salad and ham breakfast sandwich that you should order no matter the time of day. The Verdict: A fantastic daytime cafe with an interesting menu. It’s going on the Hit List." - Jess Basser Sanders, Brant Cox, Brett Keating
"Fairfax’s cool kid coffee shop hangout made its sophomore debut in the Arts District, with all the stylish vibes of the original. This new location of the Aussie shop has bites by Ria Dolly Barbosa, which means there are plenty of tasty morning toasts and eggs to nibble on, sometimes with Filipino flair." - Crystal Coser, Farley Elliott
