Yelp Review 2024 #62:
A French-inspired Korean bakery that started in South Korea and has spread to China, Philippines, Vietnam, USA, Canada, and a few European countries. One of them can be found in Las Vegas' Chinatown - the side that has lots of parking spaces but still lots of people that can't park properly.
The times I've been here have always been in the evening and you'd think all they'd have are scraps and leftovers that didn't sell during the day - not necessarily the case. You just have to pick what typically stays fresh longer. Like anything with mochi should be bought and enjoyed as soon as they come out of the oven like mochi doughnuts - otherwise, they get extra chewy/ hard and dry (lessons learned through error). I've had my fair share of stale mochi doughnuts from here - so, do not buy them after 6pm!
Multiple visits here mean I've tried multiple items. I can tell you what I liked and will get again and how to best enjoy their pastries.
My favorites:
Coffee bun, Pizzetta with Strawberry and Nutella, Ham and Cheese Croissant
Just ok (must be eaten on the same day you buy them):
Croissant Donut with Nutella, Croissant Crisp with Nutella, Egg Tarts
Skip:
Chocolate Hazelnut Cake Slice with Nutella (cake itself was dry, not enough Nutella), Sweet Rice Donut (dense, dry, greasy, way too chewy), mochi doughnuts
If you're lactose intolerant and you want a drink, they have almond milk but be sure you watch them use non-dairy milk. One time, the lady who took our order for 2 Nutella lattes was reading from a recipe book and grabbed regular whole milk (milk gallon container with a red cap). I had to walk back to the counter to stop her from what she was about to do to my drinks. Crisis averted!
Their space is small with a few tables and chairs. At night, they flip the chairs so nobody can sit 2 hours before they close.
Overall, this bakery is ok. A decent variety of sweet and savory pastries and doughnuts, cute but dry cakes, colorful but dense mochi doughnuts, and pretty good lattes.
