"A huge restaurant at the southern tip of Sunset of Park, Park Asia is perfect for when you’re looking for a grand space with high ceilings, big windows, and lots of round tables. There are a few other nearby Cantonese spots we like a little more than this place (we slightly prefer the food at East Harbor Seafood Palace and Bamboo Garden), but it’s still a fun spot for a group meal, especially when you’re grabbing dim sum and feel like enjoying some natural light. Anticipate a wait on weekend afternoons, and be sure to get several orders of the sticky rice dumplings filled with pork." - Bryan Kim

"Dim sum is a Cantonese specialty, which makes sense as to why the historically Cantonese Chinatown of Sunset Park masters it well. Park Asia is a newer spot (née 2015) but has quickly joined the dim sum power rankings. Selected items are taken from the carts going around, and a note is made on the order slip given to each party. The turnip cake is a standout, as are the various sweet options such as the ube pastry and griddled kabocha squash cakes filled with condensed milk." - Pelin Keskin

I visited this place earlier this year, right before New Year's, and ordered a lot of dishes. Every single one was delicious! It's been a long time since I've had seafood this good.

Came here for a 100th baby celebration. So the food was always catered. But what we had was really delicious. So I will make a return and update my review

Google
The pork ribs were good, trotters were too sweet. Tasteless taro dumpling, and same with the pork roll. The cake thing was dry, so was the steamed pork bun. Service was a joke. Server gave me water in a plastic cup when they clearly had glass. I asked her for a togo box and gestured the size and she refused to give me the size box I asked for telling me it won’t fit. I begged her to just please give me the Togo container I’m asking for. Makes me bad just thinking about it. Would have given one star but the pork ribs was good and I had to order a second order because everything else was so bad. Wasn’t even cheap either. Never ever coming back. Save your money go somewhere else.

Google
Steamed roast pork bun did not taste good. The bread was too much compared to the meat, and the meat was tough and dry. The other foods were good, typical of dim sum restaurants. I thought the egg tart was stale and didn’t taste good, but my little sister liked it. Atmosphere was good but the servers were kind of rushy (they were very nice though). I especially like the snowy durian—it was very tasty. Also I got food poisoning 😐

Received VIP invite for dinner. Reserved event with performance by singers & dancers. 10 course lavish meal plus dessert. Good quality & service. I really enjoyed the fresh steamed fish. Next was the mixed seafood platter with asparagus. The ginseng chicken soup is phenomenal 👍👍 Excellent venue for celebrations & big groups 🎉🎉

My favorite spot for banquet dinners, but their dim sum can be better. This is my second favorite place for dim sum, but I order from them frequently since they deliver.

Google
One of the best 酒楼 on 8th Ave for a special dinner! Food was incredibly flavorful and fresh. Highly recommend their seafood dishes, especially the steamed crab over sticky rice, and the black pepper lamb chops. We had a VIP room to ourselves on a weeknight without a reservation in advance. Complimentary mango dessert, almond cookies, and assorted fruit. Service was very friendly and attentive. Dishes we ordered: Steamed crab over sticky rice, black pepper lamb chops, jumbo shrimp with walnuts in mayo sauce, macadamia with mixed clams, scallops in black pepper sauce.

Google
It’s above average dim sum spot in Sunset Park for me. Overall, food is good back not great. The staffs are friendly and attentive. Do not recommend the durian dessert, it’s not real fruit inside, rather its texture felt and taste like custard and it’s pricy.

Yelp
Prices for dim sum starts at $4 but I would say the bulk of the dimsum items are $5 and up. This is probably one of the most value for money spots you can get an authentic dim sum experience in NYC. I love love love the food here. It was really satisfying and filling. Despite the negative reviews I've read on google about their service, I actually had a really good experience! All the Chinese aunties were so nice and friendly. They even recommended me some of their fav dishes.

Yelp
10/5/2024 @11:45am Walk-in for table of 5. Waited about 10mins Really bad service, requested cha with the guy whom was writing my sheet of how many people, cause it charge per person cha $ but ignore when I tell him type of cha I want! No one ever cares to remove dishes that were empty. I had to sack it up so we can have space while ordering more dishes. Some food is hot and some is cold. And it wasn't even busy. All the head servers just either in lalaland or chatting with each others.

Yelp
Park Asia in Brooklyn is a solid choice for dim sum. The food here is consistently tasty, and the service is quick (perhaps *a bit* too quick, but more on that in a minute). **Black Sesame Bun** - This is always my favorite! The bun is soft, pillowy, and filled with a rich, sweet black sesame paste. It's the perfect balance of sweetness and nuttiness, and I could honestly eat a dozen of these. **Shrimp Rolls** - These were perfectly executed. The shrimp was fresh, and the roll itself was crispy without being overly greasy. Dipped in a little soy sauce, it's a bite of pure satisfaction. **Service** - Here's where I knock off one star. The service is fast, no doubt--sometimes almost too fast. They're eager to get you seated, fed, and out the door in record time. While I appreciate efficiency, I wouldn't mind a little more time to savor my meal. It feels a bit rushed, and they can be a little too eager to clear the table before you're ready. But overall, Park Asia delivers on the food front. Great dim sum, quick service (if you're in a hurry), and a pretty straightforward spot for a delicious meal.

Yelp
I've been coming here for a while, from dim sum and dinners with my family and friends. I'm a native Brooklynite from this area and grew up in Bensonhurst so over time I always enjoyed eating here and although East Harbor is better I still enjoy the ambiance of this place (the ceilings are very high) and all the dishes taste pretty good. My favorite is the soy sauce chicken since it's super tender and saucy!!!! I absolutely love it. It's really different from the other Cantonese restaurants I've visited since this was in a big pot to keep the flavor in place. We also ordered a lot of other dishes that were great from the soup special to lobster, E Fu noodles, Filet Grouper, Snow Bean leaves, and Sliver Fish, Scallops, Jellyfish, Chives & Celery. My second favorite was the Steak Kew. It was cooked to perfection! The most interesting part was really the scallop special which was with the vermicelli on top. It was interesting and the scallop was fresh. But I've never seen that before so I guess they were trying to innovate their recipes. It did work but it wasn't that special. I would probably stick to your Cantonese classics! In terms of service they were super fast in refilling our teapot and made sure we got everything we needed and even comped my dads ma lai gou and an extra plate of dessert for his birthday. Super thankful and will definitely be back!

Yelp
We had a blast for my friend Kerry's wedding at this location food was very good and had a lot of variety my only feedback is that the place felt a bit more cramped than I would've preferred for a wedding event, the only open space was the small stage no actual dance floor.. but it felt warm and the high ceiling makes up for it a bit makes it feel larger than it actually was .

Roxanne O.

Yelp
Came here for a company party in the large upstairs party room. It was equipped with multiple tvs for karaoke which proved to be fun. The food came out quickly and we had more than enough. My only dislike of the food was the sesame dessert at the end--a bit too sweet!

Ze W.

Yelp
This restaurant also does wedding events. The wedding venue is next to the parking lot on the side of the restaurant. They decorations are amazing. The service here was pretty good because they come to each table and portion out the food for all the guest. The food was really good and flavorful. My favorite dish was prob the first one with the crispy pork skin with other cold ingredients. Overall 5/5 for everything. There wasnt anything I could point out that was bad.

Chin T.

Yelp
Best dim sum place to go in Brooklyn however, the price is a bit pricey compared to the bakeries. Was here for an event. The servers were friendly. Would recommend coming here.

Mei T.

Yelp
This is a beautiful restaurant to have a big gathering. The decor is impressive. Nice chandelier in the main entrance. They have room for quite a few hundred people and they have 2 floors. You can also have intimate meals too! They wait staff is attentive and helpful. They have your typical Cantonese cuisine. If you don't see it on the menu, ask!

Marie S.

Yelp
Park Asia is known as one of the best Dim Sum restaurants in Brooklyn. I tried their dumplings this weekend - delicious but pricey. The shrimp dumplings were my favorite. I really love this part of New York City - so many great restaurants in one area. Looking forward to more.

Yelp
Beijing duck was disappointing, tasted like regular bbq duck. Interesting choice of wrapper as well. Otherwise, the food was about what I expected, pretty delicious but nothing stands out. Flavor strength is slightly on the weaker side, but not under flavored. The main drawback is that they brought out every item at once. It was hard to fit everything, and things got cold before we could eat them all. 4/5 food, 2/5 ambiance/service. In total, it was just under $100 per person with tip and tax, with some leftovers.

Yelp
Bottom line: great value for authentic Cantonese food, approved by my Cantonese in-laws, and seasoned perfectly (read: not too salty). Must get the eggplant with garlic sauce and the house famous crispy fried chicken. Picture a giant open floor dim sum restaurant with a giant screen showing how all the dishes are made while the waiters bustle around. It's a fun vibe in general, and we really enjoyed all the dishes we ordered. Although the parents gave us side-eyes when we ordered the walnut shrimp with mayo, they happily partook when it arrived. The shrimp were plump and tasted fresh. Highlights of the meal were definitely the house famous crispy fried chicken (think Cantonese roast duck with beautifully crisped skin, not southern fried chicken) and the eggplant dish, which was made in the traditional style with chicken cubes and salted fish bits- really tasty and full of umami without being too fishy in the wrong way. Other standouts include the sautéed mushroom dish with Chinese yam, the beef chow fun (in laws said this was quite authentic, and enjoyed the yellow chives in the dish), the fillet steak Cantonese style (really tender and not as salty as it looks!), the walnut shrimp with mayo (although the shrimp mayo with fried milk also looked bangin'), and the pea shoots with mushroom (I liked the mushroom broth preparation, which was different from the usual garlic sautéed preparation). I'm a big fan of jellyfish and the portions here were generous- feel free to ask for black vinegar to complete your jellyfish experience (that's how I like it). Appreciated the fresh fruit and coconut jello at the end of the meal- true authentic Chinese restaurant experience. Also, all this for $200! What a steal. Big fan and we will for sure be back.

Yelp
alright dimsum place. didn't really leave a memorable impression. the service was okay as well.

Yelp
I never get sick of having dim sum at this place. Always the safe choice when coming to the original Brooklyn Chinatown at 8th Ave. Gathered here with a bunch of Brooklynites from the Park Slope, Bay Ridge, and Bath Beach area. The piggy shaped buns were as fluffy and generous in portions. Shumai and har gow were tasty in flavor and stuffing was big, love that. Even the chicken feet, being the only solo person ordering it, had lots of meat to peel off the bones. The shrimp noodle was soft and thick with good amounts of shrimp. Although I was super exhausted and did not wake up early enough to get all the good dishes. The wait is always long at this place as it was the main choice for a dim sum hall with parking in Brooklyn. Price has gone up a bit but after the pandemic has done it's damage, it felt like I was right back at my dim sum home. Superior dim sum any day than the ones in Manhattan.

Yelp
It is hard to find parking for Park Asia but it is difficult for many dim sum places in by 8th Ave Brooklyn. Park Asia in my opinion the most esthetically pleasing to dine in. Instead of the typical Asian wedding inspired background they have a large TV screen and large open windows. On the weekends it is usually busy, wait can be around 30 mins. Once seated the dim sum cards come around as usual. One reason why it's not 5 star for me is because I feel that the carts can come around a little faster. The cart ladies can present the dim sum in a better manner. Food itself is pretty good. The short ribs were pretty fatty though. Overall food can be pretty salty, but that's dim sum for you. I come here a few times a year, both take out and dine in. Overall my favorite place for dim sum by 8th Ave because of the esthetically pleasing internal design. Thank you for reading. Enjoy!

Yelp
Park Asia has been a staple of the neighborhood for as long as I can remember. Ever since their renovation way back when, it has become a hot spot for dim sum and fancily decorated banquet hall for private events. There's a bit of a mob during weekend brunch hours and most tables are filled during dinner. There's a giant screen in the back of the restaurant that can be seen from across the street, which led me to my last visit. I haven't gone to Park Asia in years and recently gathered a last minute group for a walk-in dinner. Luckily, we immediately got a table and ordered to our hearts' desire. The service is prompt and attentive and the food was fresh and each dish was pretty solid. The menu is quite extensive with plenty of photos for non-Chinese customers and ABC's alike.

Fuang C.

Yelp
It's definitely like what people said: it's a hit or a miss. It's not as good as the last time I went, the flavors of everything was off. The cherng fun skin was thick and not tasty. But the one dish that was so good that I can't stop thinking about it- the pineapple roast pork bun. My stomach is grumbling at the moment and I'm fantasizing about eating this dish again. It was so delicious. Perfect. I give it a 10/5. It was that good. Eat it while it's warm the outside is perfectly flakey pineapple bread and the inside is filled with delicious roast pork AND LOTS OF SAUCE. It was gooey and saucy and just perfect. I'll come back just to eat that well I'll come back anyways, it's a decent dimsum spot.

E J.

Yelp
Definitely a more traditional Cantonese dim sum spot with what looks like a local following. Was busy even early Sat morning so they must be doing something right. It's also a more "healthier" version of old school dim sum in that it tries to cut down on fat. The downside is that it can compromise somewhat on flavor. A decent spot if in the area though not a place I would travel out of the way to visit.

Ramón B.

Yelp
For Dim Sum in Brooklyn, this was next choice as the go to spot on 8th Ave was closed for renovations. Wait was not bad though store busy at noon. Service was prompt as the ladies with carts circulated around quickly to give you what was available. Options were many delicious. Didn't have any complaints on the taste or flavors, all was delicious. Only issue is small groups of 3 or less aren't the norm so you're placed at a table with strangers. Otherwise not bad, definitely recommended.

Sandy D.

Yelp
After not having dim sum in a hot minute, Park Asia fully satisfied my cravings. I would recommend this place if you're looking for a bright ambiance, due to their beautiful top to bottom windows. There's an upstairs too, but it's whack compared to the lively bottom floor. If my fam heard we were placed in a room, they would be displeased at my rookie mistake! A word of advice for those new to yum cha: don't get placed in a room! Barely any carts will stroll by, and if they do, they seem to prioritize the parties outside the rooms first. You're pretty much going to be asking the non-cart workers to personally deliver you food, which defeats the iconic dim sum cart aspect of yum cha! Because of the wait, the food from the carts are also going to be given to you. Lukewarm! However, rooms are ideal for the privacy and quietness for a change. Aside from the drawbacks, everything tasted great! Or maybe that's my haven't-had-dimsum-in-a-while stomach talking. I'm not sure if their portion size was always that small, or if it's because of the pandemic, but the Honeycomb Beef Tripe portion was smallll. The Tofu Skin Rolls also had pork in it! The one dim sum dish that was suppose to be for vegetarians!! The Rice Rolls were perfect: bouncy, fresh, and flavorful. The Baked Roast Pork Buns with the white top gets a "highly recommend" from me! After ordering plenty of salty dim sum with room for dessert dishes, the bill wasn't too bad considering my fam always labels Park Asia as overpriced. With plenty of dim sum parlors in the area, the sunlit views paired with diverse dish selections makes this spot worth checking out in particular.

Ben L.

Yelp
My group came at the end of Jan '22 and overall I would say this was a solid dim sum spot, it wasn't my fav, but still not bad. I did like how big and grand this restaurant was, I could easily see this place being good for weddings and special occasions. The food: Shumai/Har Gow- These are two of the staple items and both were very good. Bolo Bao with Roast Pork- This is also known as a pineapple bun, the one here was amazing, I thought this was going to be a sweet dish with custard inside but it turned out to be roast pork and I thought this was incredible. From the texture of the dough to the flavor of the roast pork, this was top notch. Sliced Eggplant with Shrimp Paste- I thought this was good, nice and comforting. Spare Ribs with Black Bean- This was cooked well with good flavors. Egg Tart- Was smaller than other places but I liked how crispy the tart was. Lao Mai Gai- This was OK, but I did find the sticky rice to be way too sticky and the flavor to just be ok. Ha Churn- Steamed rice roll with shrimp. Ugh!!!! This is normally my favorite dish at dim sum but the skin here was way too thick and there was some kind of mystery flavor I didn't 100% love inside the rice roll. Lo Bak Go- Turnip Cake- This looked off right when they put it on the table. They were small and the flavor was just ok, the texture needed work too.

Heidi M.

Yelp
Park Asia is such a hit or miss. It's the quintessential Brooklyn-Cantonese restaurant, where you gather with family for dim sum or to celebrate a special occasion. It's great for its atmosphere, but food quality and service can be super unpredictable. Most recently, my family came to eat on the Eve of Lunar New Year. At 6pm. Pros will know this was a big mistake. We should've came/reserved for 5pm, as our waiters had suggested for next year. It was a packed house, so we were actually put in their "overflow" room, which required us to leave the restaurant through the back and enter through the dining area next door. It was much quieter on that side (yet still nicely decorated) but it took ONE HOUR for our food to start coming out, and that was after we had complained AND the food came out of order (our appetizer/cold dish was literally the last dish to come out). Yes, our waiter did warn us that the LNY set menu was going to take a while, but we didn't expect... this. We ended up cancelling at least 2 of the dishes because we were already sitting in the restaurant for over 2 hours at that point and didn't want to keep waiting around. Thankfully they did refund us for those dishes. The food was fine, pretty standard Cantonese style cooking. However there was a ton of MSG as we all felt so thirsty all night. One of our waiters was extremely kind and understanding, while the other seemed to be deliriously laughing at the ridiculousness and chaos of LNY every time we complained. I understand everything was out of their control and I can't imagine what the kitchen looked like that night. I'm pretty sure management is just pretty crappy in general. My mom has called on different occasions in the past couple of years and always seemed to get a very bitter and downright rude lady on the phone. Even as a Canto speaker talking to a fellow Canto speaker! Crappy service aside (except for that one kind waiter we had), we did have positive dim sum and other experiences in years past. It's not always bad, but it's not always great either. There are other similar Canto banquet halls in the area, but I think it's hard to say which is the best.

Vickie W.

Yelp
I came for a 100 Day Chinese celebration dinner and the Cantonese food was delicious (see photos for some of the ordered dishes). The waiters were attentive and changing plates after each course, and the restaurant is beautifully decorated in a banquet style. Would recommend this restaurant for hosting a party meal or celebration.

Yelp
On a rainy day it's a great idea to stay in and order dim sum; it's my 1st time ordering from Park Asia, my regular spot on 61st and 8t have in Bklyn closed and a for rent sign is on display in the front. Park Asia is located on 65st and 8th ave next to the BP Gas Station. I arrived exactly at 9am as they just opened up, they have individual parking , a 1st come 1st spot and their space is limited, but there's meter parking across the street. The ambiance is spacey and roomy when the business just opened can be crowed , they have a party room upstair . the service is fast and quick at the beginning but after few hrs on your feet and mostly your customers are senior citizens ; you will and can get burned out. When I was a kid , Dim sum was a period when you would eat and socialize with friends and family and the price was cheap, a mini plate /dish was like 2bucks. Now it's 2023, the price has tripled due to inflation. Expect to pay big for Dim Sum Brunch. I walked In and a dim sum ordering form was on the front desk , input your quantity and that was it, simple, you can order online and pick it up, I had over 22 items so ordering onine wasn't possible and some items I wanted ; were not on their online list, but on the ordering form when you walk in. I had to wait for a while since I had a big order but it was cool, outside was heavy rain and I had parking ; so I'm good. I'm satisfy with my order will go back again.

Kio C.

Yelp
Got dimsum here and 90% of the dishes were hot and delicious. The ladies serving the carts were very nice and patient. They help you pack left overs in front of you which is a nice service they added recently. The price per dish did get more expensive but it's still worth it.

Vichet O.

Yelp
Solid Cantonese Dim Sum. I'm not an expert, but I do love those rice noodle wrapped youtiao (fried dough) things, and boy howdy did we have a bunch at brunch. Other standouts were your standard turnip cakes, dumplings, house fried rice, etc etc. Listen, just go, point at what looks tasty, and gorge yourself for two hours with friends for their kid's first birthday party, which was really just a "I haven't seen my friends in a year or so and dim sum is a good excuse" party.

Donna Z.

Yelp
Would rate this a solid 3.5. Came here on the Monday after Christmas as all the other dim sum places we went to were packed once you walk in, tell the waiter how many in your party and you will get a number. Our party of 2 waited about 20 minutes for a table which wasn't bad. Unfortunately we were sat in the middle so to get to any food I'd have to get up and walk around because the carts couldn't really get to the middle. Food wasn't bad but I've had better. A bunch of the dishes were under seasoned. This is what I thought of the dishes we had: 1. Beef tripe and turnip - this was good and my partner really liked the flavor of the turnips 2. Baked pork buns - my partner enjoyed this the most but it was underwhelming to me. Normally I'd expect the crackling to have a mild sweetness but this had no flavor. 3. Beef rice rolls - the beef inside could use some more seasoning even though that it's drenched in soy sauce when put on the table. 4. Pork spareribs - had a mild saltiness but could use more seasoning and spice 5. Coconut cake - this was good. If you want this, you need to ask the waiter for it because I think it's in a fridge and doesn't normally go around in carts. All of this came out to $40 which is a little pricier than other places which is probably why this one wasn't as jam packed as the other dim sum places in the area.

Shirley L.

Yelp
Before the pandemic I would say I wasn't a big fan of Park Asia but since they've open back I've been coming back more frequently. There's now both indoor and outdoor dining. When the group is big enough you can request for a room if it's not busy. My sister book a room with 5 adult and 1 baby for her birthday (luckily because it was a Tuesday night and it wasn't busy) and for the times we dine in the room, the service was still very good. They made sure tea was always there and there is a bell to ask for service. I usually go to East Harbor but Park Asia is not bad too. For dim sum on the weekend most of the dim sum was fresh. The only bad experience I had was snowy durian, it was spoil and the waiter deducted it off our order. They have most of the Cantonese dishes and their seafood is fresh every time we come. The only downside (dinner time) is every time we order fried rice it usually comes after all the entree.

Andy C.

Yelp
Came here on a Sunday around 10:30AM - already packed but we were party of 2 so they found a spot for us. Service was great, quick. Tall ceilings so it doesn't feel stuffy with all the people in there. Supervisors attentive, food carts had lots of variety - all hot and fresh out the kitchen. Pig skin, chicken feet a must-try. Fairly priced, expect about $20-25 pp

Yulei C.

Yelp
Great place for family dinner. Loved the clams (an appetizer dish but had a decent amount of food and the flavors were amazing. I definitely didn't have enough and will order again). Otherwise mainly got vege dishes and everything were pretty tasty. Will come back if there is a chance

Deborah W.

Yelp
Our office decided to order from here for Sunday lunch. I ordered from their lunch special menu and also dim sum menu. For the lunch special I got the sliced beef and vegetables dish. The specials also come with rice. The dish was yummy - good flavor and a good portion. As for the dim sum item I got the stuffed eggplant with shrimp. Each eggplant piece was large and came with a total of three of them. The shrimp filling was also delicious. All in all, Park Asia really delivered a satisfying lunch. Definitely check them out if you're in the area.

Sharon S.

Yelp
This Cantonese restaurant serves as one of our go to places while in Brooklyn. For years, our family and friends eat at Park Asia because we know what we are getting. Yes, consistency is key here. Siu Mai / pork dumplings 4 stars Ha Gow / Shrimp Dumplings 4 star Ha Cheung / Shrimp with Rice Noodle Crepe 4 stars No Mai Gai/ Sweet Sticky Rice in lotus 4 stars Hom Siu Gok/ Fried Pork Dumplings 4 stars Tripe 4 stars Chicken feet 4 stars Paingoot Cheung fun/ spare ribs on top of rice rolls 4 stars Pig skin 3 1/2 stars Very solid and dependable restaurant!

Yelp
Enjoyed my craving for dimsum here. We were seated right outside of the restaurant, where the parking lot used to be. Came in as a group of four and that's really one of the perfect group #'s to split the little dishes. We were seated right away. No more rolling carts, everything is ticked off onto a sheet to order. Everything came out fast and I noticed the staff wiped down after each table. I'd definitely come back.

Shun L.

Yelp
Great place for dim sum. A lot of variety. There's parking on the side but only for a few cars. My favorite dim sum place around 8th ave

Kevin C.

Yelp
Better than your average Chinese restaurant. I came here a few times during quarantine. The interior is very eloquently designed with a gigantic chandelier and nicely carpeted floors. The food here is pretty decent but it's pretty pricey, more than what you'd normally pay for dimsum dishes. I think if you can, you should go have dimsum at other places that aren't as expensive. Adding multiple dishes here really racks up a hefty bill without you even noticing when you're with family here.

Dee K.

Yelp
Great afternoon spot for dim sum. Arrived at 12:30pm on a Saturday and waited 10 minutes for a table. Once seated we never felt rushed. Great selection of dim sum. The stand outs for us were the shu mai, shrimp rice rolls, har gow, and red bean mochi. Highly recommended.

Milly C.

Yelp
It was nice place, a little pricey for dim sum. We had a hard time communicating with our server because of the language barrier, a lot of them don't speak English. The food was decent but there are better and cheaper places in the area.

Richard M.

Yelp
I went here with my boyfriend to my friend's wedding and the food was pretty lame. I expected more portions and meals. I wouldn't support this business if I had to go out with my boyfriend. Instead, I would go to an alternative one that serves better portions and more meals. There were about 9 meals in total with cup portions per meal. It was super cheap and bland. Avoid here at all costs. It is a complete waste of money if you give money to this place.

Jando S.

Yelp
There is no doubt that Park Asia (翠園) is one of Brooklyn's most popular Chinese restaurants. Experiences here are like many grandeur, large, banquet halls (酒樓): it all boils down to timing. There is the chaos (and even a little mayhem) of their weekend Dim Sum, the subtle but less enthusiastic Cantonese dinner experience, and the cheesy wedding party celebration. Having been to all three scenarios on multiple occasions, I can actually say I like the place. It goes without saying, the place is huge. It's not as massive as some of their nearby competitors, but it's large enough to turn some heads. There are tables everywhere of various sizes and big windows and a big chandelier in the center of the dining room. When it comes to Dim Sum, there is almost always a wait and when the place is full, it practically becomes a zoo. I would almost recommend coming on other days and avoiding the peak times during the weekend. When it comes to Dim Sum, they're a solid 3 stars. I appreciate their immense variety but nothing I've tried is particularly memorable. If I had to choose a few items to crowd the table it would be their leaf wrapped glutinous rice (糯米雞), XO rice noodles (XO醬腸粉), shrimp dumplings (蝦餃), and turnip cakes (蘿蔔糕). Like any large Dim Sum spot, it can be a challenge in to get the carts to come your way and the food quality / availability is way better before noon. I wouldn't put their dinner fare above any Canto spot in Chinatown, but I do appreciate the depth and variety of their offerings. Seafood wise, they're on point (fish, crab especially) but I can't really vouch for their land animal dishes (crispy chicken, lamb chops, etc.). I think for anyone attending a party here either in a private room or part of something bigger, that they do the standard dishes (rice, noodles, etc.) fairly well. Prices are also standard as well and somewhat cheaper than similar spots nearby. A big beef for many folks here is the service and even the parking. No Cantonese place is ever known for doing either well, so I would recommend tapering expectations for service prior to committing to a visit here. When in the right frame of mind, one can feast very well here.

Yelp
Came towards the end of dim sum on a Sunday and we circled the items on the order form. The server brought the items to us. The steamed fish balls and shrimp dumplings were my favorite. The rest of the dishes were also great.

Yelp
The place is nice, huge ass tv (500inch , maybe bigger) that's perfect for watching sports but instead they keep on playing the same YouTube video of their dishes. I probably saw the same lobster dish made about 8 - 10 times. The waiters are all pretty cool and friendly. We pre-order the crab dish like a week before because it takes a long time to prep. It's decent, not worth the $90 (per crab). The chicken stuff with rice was a total let down, def not worth the $65 bucks. It's basically fried chicken skin over rice. Yes it looks cool but I will never order that again. One of our friend who got all mesmerized by their YouTube video and got suckered into ordering it. The stuff chicken wings was pretty dope, I've had this type of dish elsewhere but this is one of the best so far. The strew lamb was good! We had two lobster dishes, one of our guys wanted to get cute and order a lobster dish to be steam because I already ordered the ginger and scallion lobster. Needless to say old faithful ginger and scallion won the day. Guy doggy bag his steam lobster cause no one touched it other than him, sucka!!!! We also had a veggie dish which is kinda traditional it was good but whatever. Overall the cheaper dishes won the day. Since I'm the driver, should've made these guys walk home for recommending these over priced dishes but I was also the sucker who wanted the cold crab because it look cool from their YT video.

Yelp
This was my first Dim Sum experience. I was a bit overwhelmed. Park Asia is huge! The staff is super friendly even though English is not their forte. The ladies with the carts were a little pushy bit they're just trying to clear their carts. I get it. Go here!! You won't regret it!!

Yelp
Came here a few times already for weddings, and private room parties. Food is good and waiters are attentive. The only downside would be the parking. It is pricy to book a room, I believe there is a minimum you have to spend so be sure to ask when you book a room. Overall nice place. They do have a patio deck upstairs which is really nice, not sure if you can dine there or if it's for parties.

Yelp
Attended a wedding banquet here recently. They had the banquet on the first floor while the 2nd floor was kept open for regular customers to dine. There was many courses, from lobster salad, roast pig, fried rice, noodles, crab, and fish. Food was just ok. I've definitely had better. The only things that stood out were three lobster salad and the steamed fish. The fish was super sweet which made the dish great. The lobster was big chunks of lobster and a medley of fruit. A very different dish for sure. The service was superb. The server made sure there was an equal portion for everyone at the table. They made sure we had clean plates for every new dish that came out. They erase all really friendly and cordial. I can't say enough good things. There is only street parking available as this is Brooklyn. We didn't have much trouble finding a spot though, maybe it was just pure luck.

Yelp
This is one of the prettiest dim sum restaurants in the city. I've really done my research about this too. Whenever my family celebrates a milestone birthday, graduation or wedding we'll usually settle on Park Asia as the venue, not for the quality of the food but for how good our photos taken here will come out. The space is wide and open and the ceilings are so high. The decor is minimalist, especially for a traditional Chinese restaurant, with one huge tasteful chandelier in the middle of the ceiling. The chair backs have that nice cloth cover so you know you're in a fancier place. I've been here for dim sum and for several dinners, including for one of those 10 course meals you get at a Chinese wedding or 100 days celebration (in Chinese tradition this is a party put on after a baby turns 100 days old). Each time I find the food somewhat lacking. On one occasion the har gow came out super dry, and the turnip cakes lukewarm. On another occasion, we ordered a $400 King Crab and even then I found the flavor somewhat bland. This is not to say that all their dishes are this way, I've certainly enjoyed a good walnut and shrimp dish here and they make a pretty good young chow fried rice. Usually though, I've found myself sitting through some basic meals here, gladly leaving the table to pose for yet another round of family photos. In my experience the service has been attentive and friendly, which is especially great when you're hosting a special occasion here. For a casual Saturday dim sum brunch, I'd consider a different spot.

Yelp
In the time of COVID-19, I have my hesitations and worries about how businesses will do with protecting their customers, but I was intrigued when my friend posted photos -- I asked how it was, and the first words out of her mouth were, "they're super clean here!", even though I was actually asking about the food. I figured I'd give it a shot and came by the next week, my first indoor dining experience in NY. I was impressed with their protocols -- all staff was in KN95's, they took your temperature at the door and recorded a phone number to contact trace, and every time a table was vacated from a party, they'd spray it down with ethanol; I guess this is the new norm. Seating was well situated with tables off-set to provide maximum social distancing, and the patrons practiced good etiquette as well -- masks on when leaving the table for the bathroom. The table settings were also disposal -- bad for the environment, but an inevitably if we want to make this work. What about the food/service? Food quality is pretty much what it was before the pandemic -- a bit better than ok, but nothing to seek out. However, service was stellar since there were so few people, and they were extremely attentive. The dimsum selection was limited, but I still got to have all of my favourites -- though be aware, it's a la carte ordering, and no aunties rolling around with carts, for the time being, at least. Come out and support Chinatown and fill your belly in the meantime. P.S. For a real rating, I'd give the food at 4, especially given these times, but the service and the protocols they put into place place it at a 5+ for me. I felt extremely safe dining here, and would recommend it to anyone hesitant about indoor dining.

Yelp
Very good service with interesting array of Cantonese dishes. Second visit, and will go again. Best with larger group to sample more dishes.

Yelp
We were seated on the second floor because it was faster for a table of 7. Huge mistake - the dim sum carts barely come here. Ended up just ordering noodles from the menu while we waited. The dishes are more expensive than other similar spots in the area. Wouldn't have came if east harbor wasn't under construction. We had to send back one of the dim sum dishes because it had went bad. Told the manager upstairs and it didn't seem to phase him. If you want to get dim sum, go somewhere else - there are plenty in the same area. Just not worth the wait and the price.
