The 8 Best Lunch Spots In Denver 2024 - Denver - The Infatuation

"There are multiple Park Burgers around Denver, but the Platt Park location is pretty adorable, mostly because it’s on the stretch of South Pearl that feels like a small town main street. Snag a seat on the patio if it’s not below freezing and go for a burger with birria smothered in truffle-garlic aioli, or with giardiniera. Add on a basket of sweet potato fries and one of Park Burger’s creamy milkshakes, or sneak in a pint of local craft beer to take advantage of the altitude effect." - Chelsea Thomas, Team Infatuation

The 17 Best Burgers to Try in Denver | Eater Denver

"With multiple locations, this local franchise offers multiple variations on the American original. Beef, bison, and turkey patties can be stacked with combinations like pancetta, provolone, and giardiniera. Park Burger is also an excellent place to take vegetarian friends — the kitchen prepares its own veggie patty and is known for overflowing sides of truffle-parmesan and sweet potato fries." - Camila Navarrette

Where to Eat on Old South Pearl Street | Eater Denver

"The original outpost of this American concept frequently ranks high on lists of the city’s best burgers. It’s a family-friendly spot that serves beef, buffalo, turkey, and veggie burgers, crispy fries, frothy milkshakes, a selection of local beers, and wine. Specialties include the Sweet Jackson, filled with Swiss cheese, Dijon honey mustard, and sweet potato chips piled high on a warm pretzel bun." - Gigi Sukin

The Masked Turnip

Google
A great spot for a fantastic burger. We arrived just before the end of happy hour, so we were able to get some things at a reduced price. I had the classic double burger, which was great, though the standout for me were the tater tots: the best I've ever had! So crispy!! We sat at the bar, and the bartender was super helpful with beer choices (I think that I may have had the apricot blonde, which was delicious!). Highly recommended.

Google
Went to this burger spot in Denver with a great location. Prices were solid, definitely fair for what you get. The burger itself was really good, not the best I’ve had in the city, but still worth the visit. It was super crowded though, we had to wait around 20 minutes for a table. Service was okay, nothing special. Overall, it’s a good spot, not mind-blowing, but if you're nearby, it's a solid choice.

Google
The service and food was delicious. The bourbon bacon jam burger was the best burger I had here. The truffle fries were also delicious. Definitely worth coming here if you are craving hamburgers.

Eric Kinsey

Google
Both the turkey burger and veggie burger were fantastic! This place has a fun, casual vibe and was a great joint for our family. They were very generous with the meat on the turkey burger. The veggie burger was prepared perfectly and had a really nice crispy outside.

We come to Park Burger often and live in the neighborhood, so we really enjoy supporting you. The last time we were in, we were seated at the far table by the bar/bathroom area, and unfortunately it smelled like sewage the entire time. Last night, we asked a few times if we could be seated outside or anywhere away from that spot, but we ended up at the second table from the bathroom instead of the first—and it still had the same sewage smell. I want to be clear that this is not the host’s fault at all, but it’s really hard to enjoy our meal while smelling that. Just wanted to share this feedback in case it’s something that can be addressed. We’d love to keep coming in and having the great experiences we’re used to. Thank you!

Google
I really love this park burger. They have many unique burger recipes to try. My husband and I have had all but one. If you are a burger fan I would definitely suggest giving it a try. The servers are very nice and take good care of you. For the Denver area the service is 5 stars.

Google
This is the best Park Burger experience I've ever had! The park burger was cooked perfectly with all the fixings. The bun was fresh and the truffle fries were fire!! Definitely recommend coming here if you are looking for a good burger!

Jenn Pfankuch

Google
Small burger place with a simple menu! Sometimes that's what works best! The weather was nice to dine outside! I got the Fun Guy burger on a bed of mixed greens and ordered Parmesan truffle tater tots, which actually isn't on the menu! I combined parmesan truffle fries and tator tots while I was ordering but our server said they could make it happen! The Fun Guy burger was delicious! Update 6/4/25 - this place is still amazing!

C M.

Yelp
The food here is awesome, incredible service, very fast even during a rush, our server double checked our receipt right away when we asked. Ive personally had Taylor as my server multiple times. We live in the neighborhood and come here at least once a week. Taylor always has a big smile on her face, and doesn't mind dealing with all of our orders. She 100% makes our meals better!

Yelp
Park Burger on Pearl Street is a must-visit spot! The atmosphere is fantastic, especially when you catch one of their beautiful sunsets from the outdoor seating. The highlight, though, is their "Getting Figgy With It" burger--an absolute game-changer with its unique blend of flavors that you won't find anywhere else. The combination of figs, bacon, and cheese is both inventive and delicious. Whether you're enjoying the sunset or just savoring a mouthwatering burger, Park Burger delivers an experience that's hard to beat. Highly recommend for a memorable meal with a view!

Yelp
First time trying this place. I am getting the Get Figgy with It Burger! Let me tell you, after I tried this, I was so happy with my choice. It was delicious. Fig, Brie, arugula, & bacon rolled into one burger. It was a delight to the senses. The service was wonderful. We had some questions & our server answered all of them for us. He checked on us throughout the meal & everything. I love the outside seating with the water mists to stave off the heat I will be a regular at this restaurant!

Yelp
I haven't been to Park Berger in a couple years and I have to say this was a disappointing visit. The main complaint is with the service as we were seated and then had many waiters and waitresses walked by our table or somewhere between five and 10 minutes before anybody Helped us at all. We figured we must get our order in so we could get out in a reasonable amount of time so we did. After getting our food, our waiter never came back until we already got the check from a different waitress. The burger were solid, but I recall them being even better. Maybe the service took something away from them.
google avatar

Shahan A.

Yelp
Might actually be the best burger I've ever had. My photo doesn't do it justice. I don't even remember what I got - maybe the Fun Guy? It was just perfect bruh. And their tater tots are awesome too - the crispier the better. And the float too. Def coming back here.
google avatar

Juliet P.

Yelp
Good burgers. Consistently good. Service quick enough. Never feel rushed or forgotten.

Francis R.

Yelp
Went late afternoon yesterday with family members. Ordered 4 burger with fries and drinks. Gotta say the the burgers were pretty dry, and nothing really special. I know that this is contrary to many other posts here, but it is what it is. Service was good, server was engaged. On a side note, why don't parents train their kiddos that you DO NOT run through a restaurant, repeatedly. Are they oblivious to the other diners/ Please, good manners start at home. Don't bring them out until they are trained. You don't put up with your pets, why do you allow your kids to get away with it? FR.

Yelp
My boyfriend was craving a burger and we were in the area so we decided to give this spot a go. I got the mini park burger and substituted raw onions for shoestring (pro hack they don't charge extra this way). The truffle parm fries were perfectly cooked and crispy. My milkshake was delicious they make the strawberry sauce in house and the whipped cream was so fluffy. I'm not a big burger fan by any means (I actually tend to avoid burgers) but THIS burger has me questioning everything. Delicious bun, juicy patty and perfectly crisp onions. The inside of this place is super cute and come spring the patio area looks lovely. Bravo.

Yelp
Even on a busy Saturday we had a great experience at Park Burger on Pearl Street! In the midst of Octoberfest chaos we were seated immediately at a table near the entrance and received service right away. We both opted for the classic park burger with American cheese. We both asked for medium rare burgers but only one was actually medium rare-- the other was well done. Despite this mistake, the burger was still juicy and the condiments were tasty. The fries definitely stole the show. They were perfectly hot and crispy with delicious options for toppings. We tried the truffle parmesan and cajun fries. The truffle fries are a must order! Park Burger is a great spot to grab a burger and is very kid friendly (high chairs and coloring pages available).

Yelp
Park Burger is hands down my new favorite burger spot! I tried them on door dash first and loved it, so I had to come in and try it fresh. When you walk in it just gives off retro burger bar vibes and I dig it! I ordered the birria burger, let me tell you this is one of the best burgers I've ever had! It was perfectly cooked, super juicy and had amazing flavor. I added some jalapeños for a little extra kick which was a great addition to it. I can't forget about the parmesan truffle fries, those are amazing!! I do not like truffle at all and these fries are addictive and have the perfect crunch and seasoning. They are decently priced but not a fan of the fact that you have to order fries separately I wish they came with your burger but the fries are a necessity so don't skip out on the side order. Service was great as well, we were seated right away and our food came out about 10 mins after we ordered. If you are on the hunt for some delicious burgers, you have to come check out Park Burger you will not be disappointed.

Yelp
So they don't have peanut butter, that's okay. Their Getting Figgy With It burger is exquisite. It is divine. It is lovely. And they have the Bread+Butter chardonnay, which if you do not know, is so buttery that it not only defies logic, but also can convert a non Chardonnay Drinker to one. The service is always on point, the aesthetic and Decor are fun and delightful, and although at this location the stools in the front of the business get flipped up onto the counter earlier, they are open until they're stated hours in the back by the bar always. Sometimes when I ask for a burger to be cooked rare, the kitchen will not comply. Here they do exactly what you want, how you want it, and it is splendid. Park Burger, I love you.
google avatar

Yelp
5 stars. The hosts seemed possibly new. It was a little chaotic inside. Busy and lively. A few messes around the inside dining room. And the tables are closer than I would prefer to other patrons. Our server was excellent. And the burgers were better. My wife loved the fries more than I did. I thought the fries were good. We both agreed that the burgers were ridiculously delicious. We would love to come back for more in the future. You may not get a parking space nearby. This establishment looked to also have stellar desserts, which we did not try on this visit. We would love to come back for more in the future.

Yelp
Yum, Yum, Yum !! Park Burger does not disappoint. They offer unique burgers/chicken sammies bursting with flavor ! The chips & fries are delicious as well. They have a decent selection of beers on tap and also some fun cocktails. Both indoor and outdoor seating available & this location is prime on Pearl Street. There is a bar area in the back with some TVs to catch a game if that's your vibe. I went on a Sunday afternoon and had a great experience - friendly staff, football games on TV, great food and beer - what more could you ask for?
google avatar

Carolyn P.

Yelp
Simple and delicious burgers are what's served at Park Burger. The corner location on Pearl is nice with their outdoor patio option. It was a warm night and we enjoyed burgers, fries and beers outside. Family friendly and lots of burger topping options, including the delicious onions. Great service and really quick delivery of food. Will be back soon!

Yelp
Great atmosphere, you can bring dogs on the patio, the Fig burger is amazing and the sweet potatoes are delicious!

Yelp
Absolutely loved our experience here! Everything was great, service, beer, burgers, those loaded fries were ridiculous! We came in at the right time, happy hour is the way to go! Had a group of 6, sat at the bar, enjoyed our cold $3 beers, $5 burgers & fries. Very generous portions, the burger sauce was delicious! I'm not much of an add sauce to every bite type of gal (could've been the beers) but I absolutely loved the burger sauce! The bartender was delightful! She took great care of us, we thoroughly enjoyed this experience. We came to eat before going to a show at Red Rocks. The space was very tidy & clean. Best meal of the trip so far! Thanks for having us! Cheers!

Yelp
Hubs requested to come here for Father's Day. I decided to go with the wings- which are really good, but they are small and pretty pricey for what you get. Hubs ordered the EL CHILANGO: 1/3 lb. Patty, Cheddar, Jalapeños, House-made Guacamole, Tomato, Onion, Lettuce Sounded super tasty but the cheddar was on top of the jalapenos so didn't really melt, and the patty was pretty dry. My daughter had the kids burger and she said she liked it, but left part of it because it was overcooked. The fries were pretty good- addicting, as fries are known to be! Overall I don't think we'll be back here any time soon.

David G.

Yelp
Food was not up to usual standards here last night. I'll leave it at that. Milkshake was good. Fries were excellent as always. Veggie burgers a little undercooked.
google avatar

Elizabeth M.

Yelp
We're big fans of Park Burger but this was our first time to this location. We were able to get a spot for two right away on a Friday night, near the TVs which made us happy as it was in the heat of March Madness. As always, the staff were super friendly and attentive during our meal. We love the tap list and that there's always something for everyone. We ordered truffle fries and sweet potato fries, as well as burgers (the gettin figgy with it for me, BBQ burger for my fiancé). The food came out quickly and of course it was all delicious. The fries are always so hot and crispy, and the portions are generous. We both loved our burgers and our beers were the perfect compliment to our meal. Always recommend Park Burger for anyone looking for a good burger in the area!
google avatar

Yelp
Park Burger is a Colorado Classic. From my recent visit, my family and I got the Park Burger (4/5), the Peanut Butter and Chocolate Milkshake (5/5), and a variety of French Fries (classic, sweet potato, and "The Works", all 5/5). "The Works" was a phenomenal and addicting concoction of fries, ranch, bacon, white cheddar cheese sauce, and scallions. Highly recommend! They also do great and cheap happy hour specials on food and drinks. The service was perfect and the restaurant design and indoor and outdoor seating is lovely.
google avatar

Jazzie L.

Yelp
My 12 y/o chose this place for our impromptu date night. She had a plain kids burger. She's a burger connoisseur lol her first bite said it all lol. I had the Korean burger and absolutely love it. We almost didn't finish our meal because of the bomb ass fries! Ooh and that blackberry cocktail was AMAZING! They are not stingy with the alcohol.

Scot D.

Yelp
Well I typically love Park Burger for their perfectly cooked burgers and friendly waiters. Unfortunately neither was good today. Waitress got medium burger rare and med rare burger was well done. We sent the rare on back and waiter w red hair bun said " well it's gonna take longer"... chuuh. Never saw our original waiter that I'm guessing mixed the orders. After we got the 'attitude' from Red I chose to not send my over cooked burger back. Bad day for Park burger. Servers now get minimum wage (I think$12/hr) plus tips but service continues to get worse across most places. Guess I expect too much. I always write a great review when I do get good service (not today).
google avatar

Carlos D.

Yelp
OK, so I ordered to go burgers, medium, rare from the shop and medium rare looks like a burned hockey puck. The fries are a cold soggy mess. You can buy a higher quality burger from Costco and burn it on your own grill or stove. I would recommend choosing somewhere else. Thank you have a nice day.
google avatar

Blu M.

Yelp
Great service and great burgers! This local burger joint definitely has some memorable burgers that are unique and tasty. The waitstaff are attentive and helpful, they gave some good recommendations for us and were helpful with the menu. The burgers we got were the Birria burger and the black pepper burger. I think out of the two I really like the birria burger. This burger had birria on top of a burger patty, it was juicy and super flavorful. It was topped with tomato, cilantro , and onions. Great combination of toppings overall and just super good! Their truffle fries are also super good too!

Shelby H.

Yelp
Unique burgers and beverages along with great service. Had good items on the happy hour menu as well. We will come back for sure

Mary T.

Yelp
I just tried them again after a year. They added a new option to have bun on the side (as well as sauces). What a great option. They probably got a lot of complaints about a soggy mess and did something about it. I just love it when a rest listens to its customers and makes changes! Kudos to you Park Burger!
google avatar

Jordan K.

Yelp
Waited 45 mins for a table when there were plenty open, waiter didn't check on us until we were ready for the check. Burgers came out very pink & would've sent them back but the server was nowhere in sight. Had higher hopes for this place but no desire to return
google avatar

Yelp
This was our first visit to Park Burger and it was not a great experience. It was a very warm Sunday and they were busy, however, it took 15-20 minutes to get two cans of wine. After we ordered, my husbands wings came out first (this was his main) and then my fries and then my burger came out 20-25 minutes later. The fries were soggy. My husbands wings looked good when they came out- but when he ate them (when my burger arrived) were cold and soggy as well. The burger was not worth the wait. The guacamole tasted like it came from a can, meat was way over cooked and really didn't have much flavor. The waiter and manager were gracious and comped a lot. Beside the long waits, I wanted to give it another try on another day, but the food was nowhere good enough to get me to coke back here. Hope this was a fluke, but was not impressed.
google avatar

Olivia M.

Yelp
2 stars because the food was okay, but we had to wait forever for someone to even take our order! I haven't had a negative service experience in a long time, and I was really shocked at how we were treated. There was a blonde gal who was hosting and rushed us to our seats, put the menus down and walked away without a word before we even sat down, and I watched her do this to other guests as well. She never took our food order, there was a lovely brunette server who took our food order as she brought our drinks to the table. Our burgers came out after what also felt like an insane wait, and I had finished my burger before the fries we ordered got to the table. And while the food was good, it was a pretty small meal, I've been before and the burgers seemed a lot smaller than I thought they used to be. I ordered the birria burger and there was only a little bit of birria meat on the burger. Same with the fries, it looked like maybe 4 tablespoons of birria meat, I was so sad! It was just a really poor experience. I've worked in the service industry my whole life, and I can't imagine not having a smile or a friendly exchange with guests that I was serving, that would never happen on my watch. I don't know if she was having a bad day, but the blonde gal really put me in a bad mood by being so severely un-friendly. It was the first time in my life I didn't think I should leave a tip. Sorry if this sounds harsh, but I love park burger! My family and I have been coming here for years, and have been raving about it for just as long! I was really disappointed in the service this time around, I hope it gets better moving forward.

Yelp
Hi Deanna, Thanks for acknowledging my frustration. I was trying to be fun and light hearted with them. When 2 say your good and let you walk back into the bar, and then told no.... Thank You, John
google avatar

Brandon H.

Yelp
So good! Come here if you want the best burger in Denver. They also have some great fries with different seasonings.

Molly W.

Yelp
PB is a Pearl St staple and always has great food and service. I had a great experience with my waitress Paige- she was super friendly and on top of everything. Definitely try to parm truffle fries. (Wish they would bring back the sliders!!) Overall a great meal!
google avatar

Edgardo M.

Yelp
The service was super excellent!! On top of that, if you're a first time visitor you get a free soft serve after your meal. The burgers were on point. The kettle chips made to perfection graced with super amazing tasting toppings. Stumbled on this place on accident. If you're in the area and want a burger, I highly recommend this place.

Lee S.

Yelp
I had the privilege of having lunch at Park Burger on Pearl St. The Park Burger special was excellent and enjoyed by each of the four members in my group. Even a little foul-up on one burger preparation was quickly corrected - very satisfactory. Dylan did a great job is servicing our table. Upon leaving, Dylan noticed my son's wallet under a napkin and returned it to my to my wife - very thankful for his honesty, in addition to his table service. Great place - my granddaughter Lucy loves the cheeseburgers!
google avatar

Michael R.

Yelp
$120 for family of five. $20 for burger? $9 for fries? We all got water! Who can afford to eat here? Food is mediocre and they don't even have plates for your food. We went there only bc my 23 yr daughter is enamored of the "cool" factor that she can't afford!
google avatar

Emily G.

Yelp
My husband and I came on a Saturday night around 5:30 and it wasn't too busy. I got the birria burger and it was so delicious- definitely one of the best burgers I've ever had. We also got a split order of sweet potato and garlic truffle fries- the garlic fries were a bit too garlicky for my taste which is crazy cause I really like garlic. We were visiting Denver but if we lived there I'd 100% go back. The service was very good too.
google avatar

Michelle S.

Yelp
Great tasty food. Clean store. Our server was excellent and on point. Accommodating to children and families. Fun upbeat place for a great meal.
google avatar

Yelp
Best hamburger joint in Denver. The meat is tasty. It is worth it! Each time I go to the Park Burger, I leave the joint with no disappointment. Very good

Katie R.

Yelp
The gyatts at this restaurant are absolutely insane.gyaaaaattt!!!!!the food is also insane.I recommend the Parmesan truffle fries btw.the service is also good the waiter's gyatts are insane.the combination of gyatts and food create a really good ambiance.

Yelp
This place is decent. Good enough that I'll get burgers from it once in a while. That's really all there is to say.

Yelp
Love Park Burger and love that I can walk here. The staff is always great. The burgers are always on point. I'm a customer for life.

Yelp
Our late lunch today was a large disappointment to say the least. We arrived about 1:20 on a Thursday afternoon. We ordered our cokes and food at the same time. No sign of our drinks...my hubby finished his water and it sat empty for a long time. (Until WE requested a refill much later) Our food came out, brought by another server, and I asked her if she knew where our cokes might be. We finally got them a few bites into our food. Our server came by to check on us and I told her that our fries were not hot at all. She took them away (no apology) and by the time we got new ones, we were pretty much done with our burgers. We sat for a long time after we finished wondering where our server was. She came by and I asked for a box and she was quick to bring out the handheld thing to take our card. Again, no apology, no refill on the drinks offer. I just wanted the box and to get out. We waited and waited. So I went to the restroom. Came back, still no box. I looked over and our server was talking it up with two other employees at the bar. So I went over myself and asked for a box so we could leave. *sigh* I never saw a manager type or I would have gladly spoken with them at the time. Our burgers were fine, but between the fry situation and the almost non existent service we left not happy with the whole experience. They were not too busy either, it just seems that the employees as a whole need retraining to focus on the customer first.
google avatar

Edward S.

Yelp
They're team consists of very nice people. They make fantastic burgers, and for lighter fare, the Asian salad with tuna seared for just 2 minutes is awesome on a Summer day.
google avatar

Johnny U.

Yelp
In the times where neighborhood restaurants have gone to the wayside to over priced non family style establishments; Park Burger on Pearl is a family favorite. The staff / customer service is top notch. Prices are fair and the restaurant is cozy. Throw in a happy hour and specials and you have a place for everyone. The food is always hot and fresh. The staff seems to genuinely like their jobs. Park Burger has become a neighborhood favorite for our friends and family. Keep up the good work.

Claire Y.

Yelp
We ordered burgers to go and for the price of our burgers this is atrocious. hardly any toppings and mediocre flavor at best.
google avatar

Bob A.

Yelp
Yup, you finally did it, I'm official done. After more then 10 years it's time to give up and stop trying to experience what is no longer. If it's not the cold buns it's the overcooked burger or some other bitchy complaint. I really don't want to be that way so I'm going to do what's right and stay away. There's plenty of other people for PB to piss off.

Steve B.

Yelp
I promise. This is the last review of Park Burger I will ever write. Because, although I let my wife talk me into going there this afternoon, it will never happen again. I refuse to eat there anymore, or give them one more dollar, but my wife was craving a burger on a cold day, and wanted to sit inside. So, rather than eating a vastly superior burger at Denver Beer Company, served by actually lovely people, I agreed to go and sit at their bar and have a beer while she ate. I honestly don't understand how this location is still in business. While the french fries are very good, the burgers are at best, average, but more accurately, pretty crappy. We like to eat at the bar so we can watch a football game. I'm shocked to say this, but on January 7, 2024, the same awful bartender still works there. They must be truly desperate to continue to employ her. I don't believe this woman has ever smiled at anyone in her entire life. She treats you as if she has too many other important things to do, (although we were the only customers at the bar) to care anything about you. Watching her dry glasses while waiting to order or pay your bill; she just can't be bothered. This woman is standing around chatting with other employees who also have nothing to do, while you wait, and wait, and .... wait. We were happy to, in fact hopeful, of ordering a second beer but the bartender was nowhere to be seen until my wife was finished eating, and I was too pissed off to consider staying a minute longer. Here is the tip I left her. "If you hate people or what you do so much, you don't belong in the hospitality business. Please, PLEASE go do something else and spare the world your sour, entitled attitude. You're in the customer service business. For god's sake, act like it!" Great location, across from the Platte Park Brewery. We can't wait for Park Burger to crash and burn so someone can offer the neighborhood a restaurant worthy of its business.

Ryan C.

Yelp
The toppings of my burger were put on halfway off the burger you can tell they don't care also over priced and really weird awkward takeout system won't be going back
google avatar

Yelp
Great service and staff. Good beer and burger pairings, but I would not recommend the floppy fries
