I promise. This is the last review of Park Burger I will ever write. Because, although I let my wife talk me into going there this afternoon, it will never happen again. I refuse to eat there anymore, or give them one more dollar, but my wife was craving a burger on a cold day, and wanted to sit inside. So, rather than eating a vastly superior burger at Denver Beer Company, served by actually lovely people, I agreed to go and sit at their bar and have a beer while she ate.
I honestly don't understand how this location is still in business. While the french fries are very good, the burgers are at best, average, but more accurately, pretty crappy. We like to eat at the bar so we can watch a football game. I'm shocked to say this, but on January 7, 2024, the same awful bartender still works there. They must be truly desperate to continue to employ her. I don't believe this woman has ever smiled at anyone in her entire life. She treats you as if she has too many other important things to do, (although we were the only customers at the bar) to care anything about you. Watching her dry glasses while waiting to order or pay your bill; she just can't be bothered. This woman is standing around chatting with other employees who also have nothing to do, while you wait, and wait, and .... wait. We were happy to, in fact hopeful, of ordering a second beer but the bartender was nowhere to be seen until my wife was finished eating, and I was too pissed off to consider staying a minute longer.
Here is the tip I left her. "If you hate people or what you do so much, you don't belong in the hospitality business. Please, PLEASE go do something else and spare the world your sour, entitled attitude. You're in the customer service business. For god's sake, act like it!"
Great location, across from the Platte Park Brewery. We can't wait for Park Burger to crash and burn so someone can offer the neighborhood a restaurant worthy of its business.
