I had a fantastic time, and would highly recommend it to any jazz lover. From the moment we arrived we were greeted with a smile and felt welcome. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting and the sound was amazing! I have been to other venues and often live bands are way to loud for a small space, but not here! It was perfect. In addition, you could quickly tell that the artists loved what they were doing and it radiated from every note they played. Truly an incredible experience and I can't wait to go back soon.

Went for my birthday and I had such a good experience! This was my first Jazz show and it won’t be my last. You could see the passion on stage with they played their instruments and the fun they have. The music was great and I loved the atmosphere Parker Jazz Club creates! We had a good server who came and checked on us which was also a nice touch. Good for a date night or just a night out in general!!

Google
This place has a great vibe and the day we went they played 20s, 30s and 40s. It is recommended to buy tickets in advance. I personally love jazz music and hence had a great time. The jazz music clubbed with brownie and ice cream is the best combo in the world.

As a longtime jazz enthusiast and a first-time visitor to the vibrant city of Austin, I was on the hunt for an authentic jazz experience. Let me tell you, I struck gold with Parker Jazz club! From the moment I walked in, I was enveloped in an atmosphere that was both sophisticated and inviting. The lighting was just right, casting a warm glow over the intimate space, and the murmur of conversation blended perfectly with the anticipation of the music to come. And oh, the music! The band that evening was absolutely phenomenal. Their skill and passion were palpable, weaving intricate melodies and improvisational brilliance that had me tapping my foot and swaying in my seat. It was the kind of performance that reminds you why you fell in love with jazz in the first place – soulful, technically masterful, and utterly captivating. Beyond the incredible music, the hospitality at Parker jazz club was truly outstanding. The host (whose name I unfortunately didn't catch, but they had a wonderfully welcoming smile!) made everyone feel like a regular. They clearly had a genuine love for the music and for creating a comfortable and enjoyable experience for their patrons.

This jazz club is an amazing venue. It’s right off of Colorado st and W 4th st. The vibe is excellent, the staff are all super friendly and professional. This is our 3rd time coming here and every time is perfect. My wife loves it as well. Whether you come for a specific band, or to see the in house band or to just have a good night, you won’t be disappointed. The owner is a super down to earth guy and is always real appreciative of his customers. The music is always great and we can never get enough of it.

Google
Saturday March 22nd was our 2nd time coming here. Kris and the band create such a relaxing and enjoyable environment. Service is amazing! The performance is near perfection. It was so enjoyable to watch them perform again! We will definitely return. The food and drinks are great. You should definitely check out this venue!

Google
Great price for an amazing show. The owner played with his band and it was an amazing night. A lot of effort put into the decor to really give it the feel of a New York basement jazz club. Acoustics are AMAZING! It felt like you can clearly hear everyone’s part while they were jamming and I was amazed by how many instruments they played in the show! He clearly has some great standards for his dream and they really shine when you walk in. I didn’t order food because I just came from dinner but it smelled great and the person next to me said it was worth it. I wish I lived closer so I can come back but I hope all Austin locals and tourists give this club a visit. Thanks for a great experience and I’ll be back on my next Texas trip!

If you want to hear the best jazz music and enjoy a wonderful evening, definitely go to Parker's! The staff is awesome, and the music is incredible. We will definitely be going back!

Yelp
This place is a true gem!!! Austin severely lacks true live jazz music venues! Thank goodness for this place! Food (bar food), service and ambience were all worthy of 5 stars! Quick, delicious pizza made in house was excellent. Our server was top notch and the ambience was low lit, lovely and very comfortable. There's not a bad seat in the house. We also really appreciated that the level of the sound was not over powering like many places. The talent was fantastic too! We cannot wait to return here...most likely on a regular basis!!!

Yelp
If I could give this place a 10, I would. Sound wise, it's perfect - not too loud, but just loud enough. That's hard to do in a music venue! Ambiance is dark and sexy but clean and not gross, which is hard to do downtown. Stage lighting is on point. Drinks are strong and generous in their pour -- all were tasty! Had a few French 75's, an old fashioned, and red wine. Reservations are available for those who are type A like me and the tables are nice and romantic. I wanted to be by friends and we booked two low tables and those worked wonderful! And the music - what fun! I loved it. A great set from very talented musicians. They are so good!!!!!!! Overall it was such a great time and I wish I had found this gem earlier. GO! You won't regret it!!!!

Yelp
I can't believe I've been here since '99 and I've never visited the Parker Jazz Club. This is a wonderful intimate jazz/ live music club with a NY city speakeasy vibe. There is not a bad seat in the house and service is very attentive before and during the show. We attended their New Orleans jazz night and it was a blast. The band was tight and if you closed your eyes you would have thought you were in NOLA. One nit the tables/seating are really tight so if you will be interacting with your neighbors. We had a good time interacting with our neighbors. We can't wait to return!

Yelp
This was our first time at a jazz club, and it was such a great experience. We were greeted right away by Chloe, who welcomed us with a smile and a lot of patience. She made sure we were accommodated and introduced us to our bartender (I'm sorry, I forgot her name). The bartender was incredibly attentive, fast, and made some amazing drinks. I'm picky about my dirty martinis, but she nailed it--something not many bartenders can do. We also tried the Margherita pizza, and I was pleasantly surprised by how flavorful it was. The jazz set lasted 90 minutes, and we really enjoyed it. Since it was our first jazz experience, I don't have anything to compare it to, but those 90 minutes flew by, and the main vocalist had a fantastic voice. We'll definitely be coming back, and I highly recommend making a reservation in advance.

Yelp
I went to Parker Jazz Club with a friend and had the best time. I can't believe I had never heard of it before and will certainly be back. It's dimly lit, the music is fantastic and drinks strong. Most people dress up to go there so the overall vibes match the music. 10/10 recommend!

Yelp
This is everything I think of about when I think of a really classy jazz club. It's dark, it's moody, it's romantic, and it's understated elegance. What a perfect place for jazz. Their cocktail, spirit and wine list is long and impressive too. We were in town for only a few nights, so Sunday was the only option. Although the high school jazz band played phenomenal, I would have preferred to see a professional act. Maybe next time, because my wife and I would definitely return. Service was excellent too. The servers were expert in taking care of patrons without being in the way.

Yelp
Not to sound like the leading lady of La La Land, but this place made me realize I love jazz. My husband and I came here on a whim about a year ago and we were blown away; I knew within the first 5 mins that I was going to be back. There is something so enchanting and intimate about Parker Jazz, it makes you feel like you could be watching a jazz set in classic Hollywood in the 1950s, and at the same time makes you appreciate how underrated jazz is in the modern age. The talent on stage is unmistakable, but beyond that, owner and leading man Kris Kimura is so enthusiastic and charming that his love for the music becomes contagious! We've been here about 8 times in the last year now, and it's become one of my favorites, if not my absolute favorite, place to spend a Saturday night. We've also brought guests here, both friends in their 20s and our older parents, and this place is always well loved. I've developed such an appreciation for this club and the talented performers we've seen here. Thank you to Kris Kimura and his talented wife Jennifer for opening this place, and providing us with incredible entertainment every time we've visited!

Yelp
I absolutely love Parker Jazz Club. The experience is classic and intimate. I love how the entrance is down the stairs off the street, tucked away. After checking in with the host, they'll personally walk you to your table. The drinks were some of the best I've had in downtown Austin - we had the dirty martini and espresso martini. The live music was phenomenal. We even noticed the bar tenders shaking drinks to the beat of the music to not distract from the artists. It's the little things that make this place great. Highly recommend!

Yelp
This place was beautiful. A real nice grown and sexy, chill vibe. Atmosphere was amazing. Staff very friendly. Music on point. And food and drinks absolutely delicious. Enjoyed every minute I was there. Visiting from Charlotte on vacation, glad I made time to check them out. They didn't disappoint.

Yelp
Just Wow! Our second visit and already scheduling our next one. Appropriately, the music is the star here. The club is set up perfectly for you to enjoy the great music here. Higher tables in back lower tables near the stage offer great views from everywhere. And the band was awesome! They played a few songs I hadn't heard and many standards. The stories of his experiences were very entertaining. I almost hate giving them such a great review because I want to make sure I can get a seat. Oh, and the servers are great and the drink selection is great too. One of the best venues in Austin hands down!

Avery S.

Yelp
My number one place to see jazz and my number one place I have to visit in Austin. The people are so kind. My partner and I got tickets for a show, but unfortunately we had a medical emergency. I emailed their support team and they let me reschedule for free!

Yelp
Loved the vibe and the music. Really enjoyed our time there and would definitely go back next time I'm in Austin!

Yelp
This place is so professional, friendly and easy to book. Service was fabulous. Seating is comfortable and intimate. Every seat is a good one. Best for couples since you sit side by side. Romantic, handsome space. Shows vary, but we went to an early show with the house band, who played classics from past. Not your typical standards but a few recognizable and others less familiar. The host/owner plays a variety of instruments and adds colorful quips. Drinks were great. Typical downtown prices, so expect to pay $15-20 for wine or cocktails. Some light food and snack options, but we just had drinks. Highly recommend.

Yelp

Yelp
They roll out the red carpet for you so that's cool! Downstairs under RA sushi restaurant. The parking was easy. The show was great! After taxes and fees about $34 person and what a value. The drink menu is big, but one Prosecco choice. Our host sat us very quickly we had 7:15 seating time. The wont seat you without your whole party there is what it looked like. The food choices are margarita, pepperoni or cheese pizza, Trail mix or dessert.

Kim W.

Yelp
What a gem of a place! It has yet to disappoint in service, ambiance, and bands. Can't wait to go back

Yelp
So it has been awhile since I've attended a jazz club. I miss the one's in Seattle that you could go to and just sit and enjoy the music with friends. Most nowadays are loud, full of young people drinking and acting a fool, and no one paying attention to the actual music. Parker's was a great experience and plan on going back without hesitation. A buddy and I walked in without reservations and they quickly found us a seat even though they were booked both shows. Just wish the show lasted longer than it did. Could have sat there for 4 hours listening to them play.

Yelp
Parker Jazz Club is a 10 out of 5! The location is perfect! The venue is intimate. The service, food and drinks are amazing! If you're in Austin and you love jazz .... this is the place to be. Located just below Capital Grille. The Margherita pizza & Puddin' on the Ritz (banana cream pie dessert) are delicious! There isn't a bad seat in the house. I'd recommend the first 3 rows in the center. The reservation will cover your assigned table(s). Cocktails, pizza and snack mix are available at an additional cost. (Worth it) Parker Jazz Club will not disappoint!!

Yelp
This club is such a great find! I am so glad to know we have such a great club in Austin. The atmosphere is amazing - just the basics but classy. We visited with an ADA guest and the staff went out of their way to make him comfortable, which we really appreciated. They also had an elevator to get him down to the club easily. They are conveniently located with ample parking options, or valet. But the music was incredible. So, so good. My husband said it best, noting that we would buy season tickets if they were offered. We will definitely be back again and again. The vibe here is chill. It's not super rowdy, it's really about the music.

Yelp
I submit that if there is one quintessential American musical style it has to be Jazz. Being from Charleston SC and living almost two decades in Kansas City while visiting New Orleans I can say it's in my very DNA. The music is derived from Ragtime and the Blues which represents the range of emotions of joy to depression. Jazz also is known for impromptu solo's which I submit is the soul of Jazz followed closely by body moving rhythms. That said when I moved to Austin, I wanted to visit a good jazz club. It took me almost two years and I had to fly a beautiful lady down from Kansas City but I finally made it. While parking for Parkers isn't a walk in the park, you'll find this club truly knocks it out the park. Now that I got that out of my system lets dive into my night in the center of Austin. I absolutely love the walk up to Parkers. For some reason when I have to go below street level for a club, I get giddy. Wondering down the stairs there's two spots for great photo ops - one with a neon sign and the other with a Hollywood red carpet vibe. Opening up the door the ambiance oozes class and style. The eyes have a sensory overload from the blue lite stage, the small intimate tables for two, the huge locally painted mural behind the bar and the stylish cocktails spread out among the patrons. This my friends is upper crust and I indulged. The staff is very courteous and while the menu is limited, both for food and drinks, all their libations and yum yums are crafted with care. What I find practically interesting is the format. You get a slot for roughly 2 - 3 hours for the music. So, it's not an all-night affair rather a limited engagement. The young lady that was on my arm this night is a music aficionado and we were both excited to see a band dedicated to "old blue eyes" himself, Frank Sinatra. The singer would come out on stage and give a brief history on the song that they were about to play which made the song have greater impact. The band was phenomenal and I found myself quizzing my date on the types of instruments they were playing. For example, the gentleman playing the flute pulled out the long wrapping instrument and my date told me it's an Alto Flute. The band played flawlessly and I felt myself giving way to the music and soaking up every note as if I had an insatiable appetite knowing this was my last musical meal. The only disappointment was the end of the night arrived quickly and I wanted to stay on this ship for a couple more hours. Alas, my fellow music enthusiast, all great things must come to an end. The band wrapped up a wonderful set and my night at Parkers came to an end but with memories to serve me for a long time. In summary, Parkers is an extremely captivating experience full of great music, libations, food and ambiance. The place is tailored for an after-dinner rendezvous with high class "notes" and elegance. I found it the perfect chance to wear a sports jacket, white button up shirt and jeans, you know straddling chic with grounded sophistication without being pretentious. If you're looking to impress that special someone, learn about a particular artist or just enjoy some great live music in an upscale setting stop looking. Parkers Jazz club is where you want to be and rest assured, I'll be back and hopefully an equally intriguing date by my side. See y'all there.

Yelp
They've really captured the ambiance of a jazz club. Well-rounded drink selection with pretty good table service. When you buy tickets online, they did this thing where they have you sign up for an arrival window. When I booked for the 8pm show, the only arrival window left was 7:15, so I was being asked to arrive 45 minutes early... The weird thing was there were 2 shows that night, an early show at 6pm and a later show at 8pm. So, I thought it was weird to arrive while the early show was likely still going. Sure enough, I got a call a few hours before saying my seating time was moved to 7:30. Nice of them to call, I guess. I understand why they do it. Similar to seeing a movie at the Alamo Drafthouse, if everyone shows up 5 minutes before the movie starts, the servers have to get everyone's order quickly and then the kitchen is slammed all at once. And yet, the Alamo doesn't ask you to arrive during a certain pre-show window. I get it, it's a small venue with a small bar staff. Even so, you'd think the natural randomness of people arriving early would take care of it, or just using an order card system similar to the Alamo. If people arrive right when the show starts, I think there's an understanding that you may not get served right away. When saw a Canadian artist named Emilie-Claire Barlow, and they were having very noticeable audio issues most of the show. At first the audio was crackly, and then the singer's mic kept going in and out. It seemed like the crew was trying to get it fixed, replacing cables and whatnot, but things just never got working. That's got to be one of the worst things for a singer when the mic cuts in and out. Poor thing came all the way from Canada. Maybe it was just an off night, but if they could get a few of these things sorted, I could see myself as a regular at Parker Jazz Club.

Vivian O.

Yelp
Music, food and service were excellent. Only issue was the table in front of me would not stop talking during performance.

Yelp
The drinks are first class, as is the service! The music was entertaining and the talent was phenomenal. Perfect place for a date date or just hanging out alone.

Yelp
In celebration of National Hispanic|Latinx Heritage Month the club has been showcasing an eight-week series of Live On-AIR programming featuring Austin-based Latinx jazz musicians. It started with the amazing Jenn D'Spain. She can perform it all! Including my fav, Selena. It made for a lovely date night. Be sure to purchase your seats ahead of time. This show ranged $10 to $15 a seat.

Yelp
Saturday night, first time here. There is a cover and the show has a start/end time, so plan ahead. Small, intimate venue with table service. The music was absolutely amazing, service was friendly and prompt. I will definitely be back!

Yelp
If you have not been to this GEM in Austin, TX, then I highly recommend it and you will not be disappointed. If you enjoy live music and jazz, then this is a place for you! I am glad I came across it on Yelp! Location: located downtown Austin- It totally gives me an East coast vibe! You have to go down steps to get to the venue Reservation: YES! Make a reservation online on their website: https://www.parkerjazzclub.com Parking: It is downtown there are meter parking and garages around but there is valet service for $20 (that was what it was when I went on a Friday..so don't quote me) Staff: the staff was very sweet and attentive! Ambiance & Art: Oh my goodness! It is like you walked into a 1920s club, very intimate! (Definitely great for date night but also for a group of people that just enjoy great music!) from the low light to the the stage set up, I was IN LOVE! The Band was WONDERFUL! Each of them was in their element and you could tell. You good see how much they enjoyed playing together! The owner also plays and sings with the band, and oh man, what a voice! Food: No Food or Snacks Drinks: the other thing you came for other than the music -I had the Green Dolphin Street- a really nice and refreshing vodka drink. They have wine, of course and WILL make mocktails (just in case you aren't drinking at the moment or at all!)

Julie K.

Yelp
What a classy place! The "Chai Me to the Moon" modified mule was one special cocktail to tell all of my friends about, but the music was incredible! Kyle made it so personable with just the right amount of information about his background and the music. Well worth the price, and a beautiful memory of our time in Austin!

Yelp
My boyfriend and I went to Austin last minute with no plans. We randomly stumbled across Parker Jazz Club on Apple Maps and bought tickets on a whim. We feel so lucky to have found this place. The house band put on such an incredible show. The music was beautiful, the musicians seemed friendly, funny and just great! After the show while waiting for our car at valet the owner came outside and was chatting with us patrons which was so wonderful to be able to ask questions about the instruments and the club. We both said this will be a must do every time we go back to Austin. The service from our waitress was great as well. We both go mock tails that were tasty!! Neither of us have ever been to a jazz club and now it's going to be a place we frequent. Thank you for such a great night! (Visited 1/6/23 @930pm show)

Yelp
We will be back asap! What a charming experience. It felt like being with family - hats off to the amazing staff!

Yelp

We came during Christmas time so we were able to here the family story an him & his wife's collaboration! What took me over was you could just feel the love in their energy! They cared about every single person in that building an we can not wait to come back! Literally want we were missing from Austin & and can't wait to meet Parker

Yelp
Parker Jazz is a terrific experience all around. The atmosphere and aesthetics are spot on for a hip but classy jazz club. Feels like a New York hot spot. It's intimate, but not too small. Seats are all quite good and people come to listen! Excellent house band and special acts. Very high quality. And the pizza is quite good, as well as having an extensive drinks menu. Service was very attentive and friendly! Can't wait to go back!
google avatar

Yelp
What a fabulous little spot! I enjoyed the evening so much. Cozy and intimate. Wait staff are delightful. And valet parking is so worth it! I will absolutely be back!

Yelp
Nice intimate Jazz club. Diverse lineups and great cocktails. Eat before going - only sell pizza and few desserts. Bummer. Pizza at a jazz club seems odd IMO. Would be nice if the food menu would expand some. A lady dressed in after 5 attire eating pizza on a jazz date just isn't right???

Yelp
This is entertainment for the grown and sexy!!! I'm impressed by the quality of the music and the ambiance. This is truly a gem in downtown Austin

Yelp
Such an amazing experience. From the drinks, to the pizza, to the customer service. The show was The Flute Circle, I made reservations for my partner's birthday and everything went so smooth. We even got to pick the seating we wanted since we arrived early. I don't live in Austin but I'd definitely go back when visiting again.

Yelp
I was only in Austin for a bit, but this club was great. The music and ambiance was perfect. I wish san diego had a jazz club such as this.
google avatar

Crystal L.

Yelp
I am so impressed by this jazz club. We just feel so relaxed and groove with the smooth music. I ordered mojito. Celebrated birthday for a friend there and the band played happy birthday song with different arrangements for 5 different birthday guys and girls. We had a blast and all 4 of us enjoyed the lovely melody.

Yelp
Have been here twice and loved both concerts. Great venue. Will definitely return.

Yelp
What a great experience! We were sat in the middle and have a server helping us all night. The music was wonderful and I can't wait until I come back! The wine selection was great & they also had pizza and other drinks available! Would definitely recommend!

Yelp
My husband and I visited Parker's Jazz Club on a Thursday evening during our visit to Austin in July. We had a lovely evening - the music was simply great! The club owner's wife sang several songs toward the end of the show, and...wow. Just wow. I hope she is there the night you stop in - it's a real vocal treat. My husband was a professional musician before becoming a teacher, so when we go out for live music, the quality of the musicianship really matters to him, as well as the mixing and sound quality of the space. Parker's scores high in all these areas, and it's a lovely place to shake off the chaos of the world for a brief respite. There was a bit of a mix up and the server only charged us for our first round of drinks, and we had to inform them that we owed more. When was the last time someone undercharged you? A happy little error that we were pleased to correct. During this same trip to Austin, we enjoyed the Blues at Antone's and Patrice Pike at The Saxon Pub. I experienced world-class musicianship at each stop. The service at Parker's was attentive without being intrusive. The space is attractive, pleasant and welcoming, and the drinks reasonably priced. Many folks who visit Austin come specifically to enjoy the live music scene. When you come, don't miss Parker's. If I have the chance to return to Austin, a return visit to Parker's will be high on my To Do list.

Yelp
Parker Jazz Club is the spot for all things jazz in Austin. Great room reminiscent of a NYC club. Live music almost every night with great variety all under the leadership of pentultimate musician/owner Kris Kimura. Drinks are fine, food is sparse but no one here for the food. Sound/lighting and music is always top notch. Can't imagine living in Austin without the Parker Jazz Club! First night back indoors after 500 days for Billy Murphy and The Copa Kings. Better than ever!

Yelp
The music was great, but the service and experience at the table was less than stellar. I've been in the past, and our experience was better. Now, the club was less crowded and I felt they they were pushing staff to try to make as much money as possible off each table. Maybe it was just our waitress, but a he started by asking us if we all wanted water. This is a pretty standard question at dining and drinking establishments. I did not necessarily want water, but thought why not. We get 4 plastic bottles of water, which I don't want. Who wants to go to an uoscale club and drink out of a plastic bottle, plus pay for it. So weird and unnecessary. Serve regular water, guys. Plastic bottles are not cool. Our waitress was overbearing and stopped by too many times to try to get us to order more. As I said, the music was fabulous. However, I won't be back anytime soon just because the experience overall was subpar.

Yelp
I LOVE this place! If you're a jazz lover, look no further.... After Brass House closed, I was devastated! I'm so glad another jazz venue has opened up in downtown Austin. Don't get me wrong, Elephant Room is great for live music like the blues.... But sometimes you just want to lose yourself to the beauty of straight up classical jazz. Several small tables scattered throughout with a full bar and some light bites. We were able to get a seat up close without a reservation (though it was a Thursday night). Perfect for an intimate date night or even just to take yourself out. Dimly lit with candles on each table to complete the vibe. Very reasonable cover fee (I believe it was $10-15/person). Also, there are some personal pizzas that weren't half bad for a bar!

Yelp
We had a great time here. Cool downtown location. Clean space. Well run. Pizza was great! Service was excellent. And the music was fun! We'll come back here again now that we know of this place.

Yelp
Outstanding jazz venue with the most amazing sound system and the most comfortable seating. We sat in the second row, but we soon realized that any seat here has great sound. Waitstaff were friendly and attentive. Clean restrooms. The owner came by to say hi to several patrons. $20 cover for Saturday night. Highly recommended!

Yelp
Been to Parker's several times. It's a really great vibe overall. Seating is great no matter where you choose but I prefer at least the front 3 rows for optimal viewing. I haven't caught a special act performer yet, normally we go to the house band. Each time I've gone the music is so catchy and truly a jazz club. The owner and main performer of the house band always adds little stories about his family and each time I've gone I've learned more and more. Really respect the genuine love he has for music, his family and his craft. I highly recommend going at least once. It's situated downtown by Capital Grille and it feels like you're transported to a different time or place. Such a nice lounge nestled spot to enjoy in Austin!!

Yelp
I went here for 6 months with my girlfriend and it was amazing. The atmosphere is nice and classy. The house band that played was incredible and I could tell all the members of the band really enjoyed playing which made it even better. I would highly recommend visiting.

Yelp
With a $35 entry fee and prompt start times, this is a sultry sophisticated affair- attracting professionals and serious patrons of the arts. Parker Jazz Club, named after the owner's son, Has an elegant but short cocktail menu (6-8 specialty drinks). However, they have an experimental cocktail menu with about 50 drinks in-the-making. Request that menu- it's printed on beat up printer paper and adds to the experimental jazzy vibe.
