The Best Fireplaces and Fire Pits at Atlanta Restaurants and Bars | Eater Atlanta

"The Decatur steakhouse mainstay brings a cozy ambiance to its dining room with a stunning stone fireplace. It doesn’t get much better than a Parker’s Manhattan and a filet mignon by the fire on a cool night." - Lia Picard

Parker’s on Ponce, nestled in the old Mick’s spot in downtown Decatur, has been a family favorite for nearly 20 years, especially for my mom. This underrated gem holds its own against Atlanta heavyweights like Bones, Marcel, McKendrick’s, and Capital Grille, offering exceptional steaks with a cozy, old-school vibe. Parker’s is just not as well known. My prime ribeye was cooked to perfection - juicy, flavorful, and a standout. The kitchen’s creativity shines through with high-quality ingredients and unique dishes, complemented by a solid adult beverage menu and great weekday bar specials (we had half-priced Gin cocktails at our Thursday visit!). The service is a highlight - Danny, our waiter for 17 years, consistently delivers warmth and attentiveness that make every visit special. The Scott family, who own Parker’s, are deeply tied to Decatur’s community, adding a personal touch to this family-run steakhouse. The ambiance, with its fireplaces and live piano, feels both classy and welcoming. One downside: parking can be tricky. Expect to pay $10 for the parking behind the restaurant (not their fault, just downtown Decatur). Still, the experience is worth it. If you’re after top-tier steaks, creative recipes, and stellar service, Parker’s is a must-visit.

This was my first time here and it was amazing! This was a special occasion as I met up with an old friend ❤️Reservation at 5:15pm we were seated promptly. Our server Jerome was very courteous and timely. He was very patient with us and made excellent recommendations. The strawberry cucumber martinis were spot on! The ambiance was perfect. I will definitely be back

Google
Anniversary dinner tonight. Really enjoyed our dining experience. We had the charcuterie board as an appetizer, which was excellent (very nice portion as well). My wife had a Greek salad. She loved it. I had the surf and turf - 6 oz filet and 3 jumbo fried shrimp. So so good! The only thing that didn’t get 5 stars is atmosphere. I think I was expecting a bit more.

Google
Great find in the heart of Decatur. Exceptional menu selections. Outstanding Old Fashions, has become my favorite - the aroma alone is outta this world. Known for their steaks, but I really enjoyed my pork chop and greens. Our waiter, Eric, was super cordial and you could instantly tell he loved his job - outgoing and knowledgeable.

My son and I have enjoyed Parker's everytime and are overdue for a trip. The atmosphere is very chill, jazzy and cool. Great for family dinner and dates.

Google
This was my 3rd time there and the experience and the food have been consistently great. Very friendly staff and the food has been excellent each visit. Today my server was Danny, great personality and took good care of me. I ordered a steak and it was cooked just right. The dinner rolls were also good.

Google
Parker’s on Ponce delivers a solid dining experience with standout moments. The mocktails were decent, but im sure they can build upon the options easily. However, the risotto was a highlight—perfectly creamy and cooked to perfection. The steak was also great, tender and flavorful. The calamari, seasoned just right, was a treat, while the Brussels sprouts were spot-on with a crispy texture and a touch of caramel drizzle that added a sweet, savory contrast. An amazing meal!

Yelp
Parkers is an exceptional restaurant that I've visited multiple times, and each experience has been outstanding. From the food to the service, everything is consistently top-notch. It's a fantastic local gem in Decatur, and if you visit at the right time, you might even get to enjoy one of their delicious specials. As a steakhouse, Parkers truly excels in preparing steak to perfection. Their selection of meats is impressive, and they cook each one exactly to your preference. What I especially love is the variety of house-made sauces they offer, including a delectable herb butter and, my personal favorite, the blue cheese butter. While steaks are the star of the menu, they also offer a wonderful selection of other dishes, such as fresh fish and flavorful salads. But if you're a steak lover, I highly recommend sticking with the meats - they're simply fantastic. In addition to great food, Parkers boasts a stellar cocktail menu. If you don't see something you're craving, their talented bartenders can always craft the perfect drink. Their wine list is equally impressive, offering a great selection to complement your meal. The atmosphere and the staff are both warm and welcoming, making it a perfect choice for any occasion, whether it's a romantic date night, a special celebration, or a gathering with family and friends. With plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors, it's ideal for hosting groups of all sizes. Overall, I highly recommend Parkers for dinner and drinks. And don't miss out on their dessert menu--it's truly amazing!

Yelp
We dined on a Saturday night before a show and the place was busy, but a reservation allowed us to be quickly seated. Ordered drinks from the bar and were also served quickly. Hubs got the short rib - said it was good but not what he expected. Was hoping for great, though portion size was large with a side of mashed potatoes and all the peas one could want. I ordered filet, cooked perfectly as ordered with a side of broccoli. They have you check your steak before leaving to ensure accuracy - always have mixed feelings on this though it was perfectly cooked and delicious. The service was casual yet perfect in approach. Kali was our server and she was spot on with what we needed. Plus, a few others dropped in and it showcased a good teamwork approach. Simple in design, it was a casual steakhouse which was just what we were looking for. Live music helped the ambience without it being too loud to hear each other across the table.

Yelp
Decided to dine here for one of my good friends birthday dinner after the first restaurant that we went to totally tanked. Glad that they decided to come because everything was amazing. Ross our server was on point, the food and drinks were delicious and the ambiance was stellar. Will definitely return for a date night.

Yelp
The food was delicious and fresh from the local farm. The service was above and beyond top notch. We are blessed to be able to visit and live nearby. The ambiance was spectacular since we decided to sit outside for dinner. My daughter said it is her favorite restaurant!

Yelp
The house salad is always so good. I had the ribeye with the blue cheese and bacon loaded baked potato. The ribeye was much better from my last visit but still had a little fat around it. It looked a little burnt but was still pretty good. Baked potato was really good as well. Service is always good as well.

Yelp
The octopus is amazing! The outdoor vibe and indoor ambiance with piano is great for a romantic or family dinner. The food is tasty and the presentation of the food is very appetizing.

Yelp
Here for a birthday, food was good, not great. Nothing wowed me. I got a surf and turf with fried shrimp and steak. Service was super friendly, and even though we had. Larger party they were pretty timely with bringing everything out accurately. I love the vibe! It feels upscale and is very nice for a date night.

Yelp
I had the absolute pleasure of dining at Parker's On Ponce for my son's birthday on Saturday. He picked the restaurant and it was his 2nd choice but the 1st choice didn't allow kids under 10 and he wanted his nephew to celebrate with us, my grandbaby is 4. Well I am so glad we came here instead. First of all the staff was awesome! Friendly, personable, and even some eye candy here and there. I had the surf and turf and substituted the mashed potatoes for a loaded potato with no hassle. Delicious! Steak was chef's kiss! Tender, cooked to medium perfection, and seasoned perfectly! No steak sauce needed. Shrimp was so good as well. They had a handwritten birthday card for my son with a complimentary dessert. He ordered the PB&J cheesecake. He loved it! I had the chocolate pie for my dessert 10/10. My daughter had a seafood meal and I tasted her crab cake, awesome! Everything was great. I will definitely be eating here again very soon.

Yelp
We were looking for a last minute dinner reservation for Christmas Eve and this placed popped up. Located just across the street from the Square, this restaurant is a quaint but mediocre at best steakhouse. Our party was already seated when my husband and I got there. One of the hostesses walked us to our table where the rest of our party was waiting. Our server was bringing water to our table when we got there. She came back a few minutes later to get our drink orders. I ordered a glass of Tempranillo since I was planning on having steak for dinner. A bread basket was dropped off at our tables served warm with butter. After a 10 minute wait and we slowly started getting my our drink orders, then our server asked if we wanted appetizers. Our table ordered the salmon dip and grilled octopus. Both were pretty good but my favorite was the octopus. It was sliced thin and loved the burnt pieces and paired well with the red pepper sauce it was served with. The salmon dip was pretty good too but thought it was a weird mix as it was served hot but with cold marmalade on top. Our server seemed to be rushing because we barely got into eating our appetizers and she asked if we wanted to put our entrees in. I ordered a chopped salad with no blue cheese with an add on of NY strip cooked medium rare. It did seem like it was a long wait for us to get our entrees. My steak was more medium than medium rare and had tons of raw onions. It was too much and had to put them on the side. The avocado ranch dressing didn't really taste like either avocado or ranch either. The serving was plenty enough as I was full when I get finished with everything. I thought it was a nice touch that the server shone a light on the cooked steaks to check if the temperature was up to our liking. Granted all the steaks our table ordered were a little overcooked, we did not complain and enjoyed our meal anyway. I was the only one still finishing up my dinner when the server asked our table if we wanted dessert. I still had a few bites left on my plate when the dessert menu was brought to our table. It's funny because I felt rushed ordering but the service was pretty slow. Our water glasses were always refilled though, which was nice. For dessert, we ordered a creme brûlée to share and this might be a bit nitpicky but we were given forks instead of spoons. I liked that it wasn't too sweet and the brûlée top added the needed sweetness. Someone in our group also ordered the bread pudding and the one bite I had left a bitter aftertaste in my mouth from the not so rendered down bourbon sauce. The burnt pieces of the pudding itself was good though. At best, this experience gets a 3.5 stars for me. Food is mediocre and service could be better. I'm sure everyone was rushing home for Christmas Eve but I just didn't get the caring service I was looking for especially for dining out on a big holiday. There are certainly other restaurants near here that serve better food. Glad I got to try it since it's been in Decatur forever.

Yelp
Had the NY strip- ordered it medium rare and it came cooked perfectly. Manhattan from the bar was excellent. Great cocktail menu with a large wine and whiskey selection. The bartender, Houston, was excellent and really knew his stuff. Will be back

Yelp
It's been a long time since we've been to Parker's. This was one of our first date night restaurants and we found ourselves in the Atlanta area for Valentine's Day, and decided to come back. One of the few restaurants that had both a vegan option and wasn't running a special menu. Whole experience was amazing. Roses for the women, and everyone on point to take care of everything you need. Service was perfect. Started with an old fashioned-orange nectar or something-and it was well balanced and delicious. We also split a house salad that was terrific. The dried cherries were a nice touch. I went with the something something chicken. It was baked to perfection and full of flavor. The mashed potatoes were good but nothing special. The brussel sprouts were terrific but obviously a ton of oil and fried for maybe a bit too long. Still wonderful and still full of flavor. I loved the dish. My wife got the grilled tofu which had a delicious Thai chili glaze. I'm so impressed with how good this meal was. I'm sure we'll be back again on a future visit.

Yelp
Very very MID. Would not return. The food was so underwhelming and service was slow Ordered the halibut special, mashed potatoes tasted like they were boxed. The strawberry salad was terrible. Had 4 little pieces of strawberries and 2 pieces of walnuts. It was a sad salad.

Yelp
Husband and I went here yesterday for a date night because we wanted to try somewhere new. We really enjoyed the whole experience and ambiance. Our drinks, appetizer, and main course were amazing and very flavorful. Definitely recommend the rack of lamb chops - so tender and delicious. Our waiter was great - even came by to let us know the kitchen was backed up and how long our wait would be. To be honest we didn't even notice there had been any long gap in time because we were enjoying chatting and having our drinks. The only thing we did not care for was the dessert. The desserts were pretty meh and so-so with flavor. My husband had a cheesecake and it was okay (looked amazing but flavor was not there), but I was really let down by the beignets. The round balls tasted like nothing but oil, no sweetness at all and the inside goat cheese (which I normally like) was too strong/too much. Almost tasted like a savory dish. On top it looked like a whole jar of strawberry preserves had been dumped on to drown them in but even that didn't have much of a sweetness. If we go back we will skip the dessert, but definitely enjoy everything else.

Yelp
In July we went beee for a birthday dinner! It was great and the service was very good! They sent us a nice discount coupon so we returned for our Anniversary dinner. That was also great and the service superb! The cheesecake dessert wasn't quite as delightful as the first time but that's my only slightly negative comment. A friend told us of this place and we love it! There is a nice variety to choose from and as we said the service is great'.

Sean L.

Yelp
Service & Ambiance were great. The food is overrated. I was not impressed & it smelled a little off. My drink wasnt right & I did not feel comfortable sending anything back. I'm glad I went, but I'm not sure if I'll return.

Jeff B.

Yelp
I've been to Parker's three times now, and every visit has been consistently great! The food and service are always on point. I've had the ribeye, filet, and dinner rolls--all were fantastic. The staff, especially Danny, makes sure you have an excellent experience every time. It's quickly becoming one of my favorite spots for a great steak and an enjoyable evening out. Highly recommend!
google avatar

Yelp
The restaurant is beautiful and the service was amazing. The food is very good. The crab cakes were delish. Some of the people in my group ordered the rib eye. It was an impressive piece of meat but it was bland. No seasoning whatsoever. I had the seafood dinner with shrimp and fried lobster and it was great. I would definitely go again.

Yelp
Aunt Toamasina and T.I. This place is well worn and serves up the classics like my Aunt Toamasina. Nothing fancy, but you know you're always going to get a well cooked meal. And you'll get the same thing every year and you know she ain't going to try something new. Yeah she could use an update on the furniture and remove the plastic from the sofa, but like this place you've gone so many times you don't notice anymore or care. I really wish they would take down that huge brick wall with the little tiny fireplace and the wall next to it and open and jazz up this joint. Not like the McMansions their building in Decatur, but an old brick ranch that's remodeled with walls taken down and remodeled for the 2024 and beyond. These 4 separate dining areas make it seem not crowded like tonight (see photos). Which makes me think of T.I.'s song "where they at" cause there were only 2 seatings in this area. Just seemed weird, not uncomfortable just unusual. I'm not a huge steak person which is why we don't eat here often. I have one steak a year so that's about all we come. Congrats on 15 years. See ya next year.

Yelp
Since my birthday is 5 days after Christmas, it's a bit challenging to find a nice restaurant for a bit of celebration. We were lucky to find a table at Parker on Ponce. Our server was fun, knowledgeable, and efficient. I had a small filet, topped with grilled onions, that was perfectly done and flavorful. My husband had the crab cakes and was very happy with them. Our house salads were fresh, crisp, with a light vinaigrette- perfect starters. I may plan another "birthday" soon, just to go back.

Yelp
Title: "Parker's on Ponce: A Masquerade of Mediocrity" In the heart of the culinary scene, Parker's on Ponce presents a facade of sophistication, yet disappoints at every turn. The reception, as lackluster as the ambiance, sets a dismal tone. Appetizers, aspiring to tantalize, fall flat with their lack of a robust flavor profile. A salad, the epitome of simplicity, is marred by a dressing reminiscent of watered-down despair. The soup, ambitious in concept, fails in execution, lacking the thickness and depth expected in a dish of its stature. The saving grace, if one can call it that, is the service - a beacon of efficiency in a sea of culinary chaos. In essence, Parker's on Ponce is a chameleon in the world of gastronomy, a fast-food soul donning a fine dining mask. This establishment's performance is akin to a tragedy in three courses, leaving one's palate underwhelmed and yearning for more.

Yelp
This place had been on our list for a while now and finally we got to try it out. The ambience and service was good. And just look how good the food look. Well looks can be deceiving. If you like season on your steak this is not the place. We had a wet aged Ribeye and the bone in Kansas strip with sides. The only highlight was the Goat cheese beignets. My significant other stopped for pizza on the way home.
google avatar

Yelp
I haven't been to Parker's in several years, and I have to say it seems they're still keeping it classy, even during lunch service. The owner circulated the entire restaurant, dressed the part, all while maintaining conversation with some of the other patrons, smiling or laughing with each guest. The background jazz music sets the tone for a mellow environment with a certain refined panache. I sat at the bar and my server made sure that I didn't want for anything, always checking to see if I had what I needed. Even the chef came out to ensure that my meal was to satisfaction. Perhaps a very particular diner would have complained about the burger being slightly overcooked, or the fries being an inconsistent mix of crisp and flimsy, but to be frank the service and food didn't warrant an issue. Keep up the good work Team Parker's!

Yelp
Ser use was excellent! The food was great and the lemonade was a winner amongst everyone. We decided to come here for a special occasion and they did not disappoint. I will definitely return.

Yelp
Came for a birthday party! Drinks and food were superb. White Russian was smooth. I had the herb roasted chicken and when I tell you it is so juicy & moist!!!! It was everything. The Brussels were nicely fried and mashed potatoes were hearty. I will be back for sure. Wonderful service as well. Sorry I tasted the chicken before I took the photo it looked too good

Yelp
Food was good but a little pricey. The atmosphere was nice and cozy. There is a man playing the grand piano which is a nice touch.

Yelp
I've been to Parker's On Ponce twice and I love this place. It's like casual upscale if that's a thing. The service and food gives you the upscale feeling but the atmosphere is less stuffy. The first time I visited, I had the calamari as an appetizer and the Big Green Egg Braised Short Rib. Now, to be honest, the calamari is the only dish I haven't been a fan of here. Neither the calamari nor the batter tasted like it was seasoned so it was a little bland for my liking. The short rib, however, was great. Super tender, great flavor and the celery root puree added a nice hint of bitterness to compliment the sweetness of the blackberry demi glaze. On the second visit, I had the ribeye with herb butter and mashed potatoes and a creme brulee for dessert. The steak was tender and flavorful with a really nice char. I could've skipped the herb butter as it didn't add much to the steak and it really didn't need it. The steak was good on its own. The creme brulee was perfect. You'd be surprised how many times I've ordered it at restaurants and the custard wasn't set. I also tried a bite of my friend's green curry risotto that comes with the scallops. I'm not a big fan of scallops in general but I'd take a bowl of that risotto any day. The green curry flavor really comes through and it slaps you in the face with the kick of heat...but in a good way. Both of the servers I had have also been great.
google avatar

Ambe C.

Yelp
I love the Cream Spinach here. However, it didn't taste as good as it did the last time I ordered it. The spinach could have been cooked a tad bit longer. However, yesterday's experience won't stop me form ordering it again. I tried the salmon and subbed the orzo for sweet potato mash..great decision. My mom ordered the lamb and it was absolutely delicious . Andrew has been my server for my last couple of visits. He was awesome ‼

Yelp
Best steak I've had! My husband and I each had the Filet Mignon. Great wine selection, service was perfect, and everything we head was phenomenal (especially the fresh baked bread). Highly recommend for a special occasion!
google avatar

Jade W.

Yelp
I enjoyed every bite of this meal! Dinner here was fabulous! The steak was cooked perfect and carried an amazing flavor. The baked smoked salmon dip was delicious as well. At first look, I was a bit unsure of how tasty it would be but I dipped the pita and said "Oh my!" It was good! The sides were good as well. The truffle Mac and cheese was delicious. I don't even eat okra and the flash fried okra was delicious. To be honest, all I can say is everything was delicious. The cocktails were made well which was great. Customer service was great. I mean truly an overall amazingly delicious dinner.

Yelp
Honestly I'd rate them a 3.5, but decided to round my rating up to a 4. I'd been wanting to try them out for a while and finally stopped in on a Saturday afternoon. We did not have a reservation and were able to get seated at a high top in the bar area. While waiting for our appetizers, the waitress brought out some rolls. You'd probably find better a your local grocery store. The bread wasn't warm and the piece I got was hard. The calamari was good and was served with a tasty aioli. I also ordered the crab cakes that came with mashed potatoes and mixed vegetables. The crab cakes were a nice size and the entire dish was delicious . My only complaint is that the roasted tomato remoulade was served on top of the crab cakes and I would've preferred it to be on the side. I only drank sweet tea, but their cocktail menu had some creative drinks listed. My fiancé said his NY strip was "fine". He sent it back because it wasn't cooked to his preference, but they got it right the second time around. Overall the service was good, the prices were reasonable and I would like to return to try more dishes.

Yelp
The food was great they asked you to cut your steak to ensure it's done to your liking.

Yelp
Parker's on ponce is one of our favorite restaurants in Atlanta. The steak is always perfect, along with great additions like blue cheese butter, but their non steak items are also fantastic. We have some picky eaters in our family, and Parkers caters to everyone's unique needs and tastes.

Yelp
Easter Sunday Brunch $55 Adult. Food is great. Tried to find last minute reservation and was lucky to get this one. They are on Opentable. $10 parking behind the restaurant.

Yelp
This was an awesome.experience. We appreciated the hostess, the person who seqted us, and the server acknowledging our anniversary. That was a nice touch. Each dish was well prepared and served hot. My steak was cooked to the requested temp. I opted for fries and they didn't disappoint. The trout wqa equally tasty. The octopus was not overcooked and was presented nicely. Our cocktails were made with satisfying pours. No doubt we will be back.

Yelp
Sara was amazing. She was so knowledgeable of the menu and made excellent recommendation as it was our first time there. For appetizers we ordered the octopus pork belly and calamari, and they were exceptional,l. My son also ordered the shrimp poboy. We eat all over ATL but this was definitely some of the best food and service we've experienced. I highly recommend Parker's

Yelp
The food, service and ambience were all terrific. We enjoyed a nice Sunday lunch. The Maryland crab cakes and Calamari appetizer were delicious.

Yelp
I made reservations for a Friday night to celebrate a close friends birthday. I really wanted to try somewhere new that neither one of us had been before. Definitely lucked up when I found this restaurant. We were abt 15 minutes late, but we were seated immediately. We started with the Smoked Salmon Dip and Passion Fruit Palomas. They were both ok. Let's get into to the star of this review; my 16 oz. Ribeye cooked medium and topped Oscar Style. It was delicious. No exaggeration, the best steak I've had in a while. The steak was cooked perfectly and very flavorful. This was my first time trying Oscar Style. It was very creamy and tasty, however I think I would have loved my steak even more without it. I paired my steak with a Loaded Baked Potato. My pescatarian friend decided on the 12 oz. Fried Lobster Tail. It came with Mashed Potatoes and Asparagus. She switched her Asparagus to Spinach instead. She said it was the best Fried Lobster Tail she'd ever had. Lastly, the birthday girl was able to select a nice birthday treat off of the dessert menu. She went with the House Cheesecake. It was your standard NY Style Cheesecake topped with a berry purée. The food was delicious but the service was subpar. Our server seemed a bit dazed and did not check on our table frequently. There was a pianist playing in the background, the lights were dim, and the vibe was very romantic. Can't wait to return for a date night. Overall, 4.5 out of 5.

Yelp
It was our first time at Parker on Ponce. They were very accommodating when we could not make it to our earlier reservation and allowed us to come at a later time. The charcuterie board was excellent. The meat and cheese they had for this selection were not too crazy. I always like a good charcuterie board. We also shared a Caesar salad; sadly, we each only got one anchovy, but other than that, it was good. We chose the porterhouse for 2 for our entree, which was nicely done. My favorite of the two sides of the steak was the tenderloin, which was soft and yummy! For our sides, we chose mashed potatoes and asparagus. The asparagus was not good. The texture of the asparagus was chewy and leathery, but they did well by going out of their way and treating us to the cheesecake on their menu. We will be coming back! This next time we will be requesting an inside table because I had a few flies in my water and cocktail.

Yelp
This place is amazing! The ambiance, service, food.... We were so happy with celebrating our anniversary here. We actually had planned to eat elsewhere but the "resort" we had reservations with was gross..no way, hard pass. My husband did a super quick search and they were able to get us in at Parker's right away. Even gave us a hand written card and a complimentary dessert as a Happy Anniversary. So sweet! Danny was our server, he was funny and personable. Food was exactly as ordered and delicious! Must try the truffle potatoes... they were to die for. And cheesecake + Scott's Coffee for dessert .. just wow! Thank you for saving our anniversary celebration. I hope we are in the area again!

I have been to this place exactly twice. On my first visit I had one of the most perfectly cooked Filet Mignon of my life. It was melt-in-the-mouth joy. This was about 1.5-2 years ago. Today I went and again order filet mignon. It was bland and the wrong temperature. The manager eventually brought the now cold piece of meat to debate the temperature. I ate it and was then displeased to find how under seasoned it was. Which in contrast to how heavily they salted every other aspect of my meal is surprising. I will give kind mention to our server who paid for our dessert himself. I can only assume they had a chef change since my previous visit?

Yelp
I hate to do this but my favorite steak house in Decatur has take some serious steps back. Just to get this out of the way both the ambiance and service are solid. However, the food has only gotten worse since my first visit. The steaks rarely cooked properly and the sides lack proper seasoning. I have no doubt they have changed the lead chef because the quality just isn't there anymore. To add to the decreased taste, they have also changed many of the menu items for the worst. Parker's if you are reading this, PLEASE go back the May 2022 menu and find a new lead cook! When you do let me know because my last two visits were a waste of my money.

Yelp
My colleagues and I chose Parker's for our holiday luncheon and let me say, we were not disappointed. The ambiance was great, the waiter and other staff were upbeat and friendly and the food was wonderful. I ordered the Atlantic salmon and it was delicious, it comes with a crab topping, mashed potatoes, and green beans. I definitely plan to return!

Yelp
The last time I recall paying attention to this location, it was a Mick's. I've walked by here during arts festivals, etc. within that window, but I had not really noted what had replaced Mick's (which I'd never eaten at). I guess we just are not in the Decatur area and looking for fine dining that much. Our waiter informed us that Parker's had been in business for 12 years... We were attending a concert at Emory University and were looking for an upscale place for dinner beforehand. I noticed listings for Parker's and checked it out. It looked appropriate. I made a reservation about 5 days in advance for a Saturday evening. Even then, they were booked for 6 and 6:15 p.m. I opted for 6:30 p.m. The first challenge was parking. I did not notice a reference to that on their website, but given the location (facing the square in downtown Decatur) I assumed the did not have their own lot. I was correct. There was not any street parking open in the immediate vicinity, but you might be able to score a spot within a few blocks (?). I opted for a parking deck diagonally behind the restaurant. It was convenient, but cost $12. You enter the restaurant from the side, not facing the street. We were greeted and had to wait briefly for a table as we were early. The layout is a number of separate rooms with 4 or more tables each, from what I saw. There is live piano music as well, which was nice; remember to tip the player. Our waiter was fairly animated; he checked back regularly, though he had to budget his time more later as the place filled up. They seemed to have more than enough greeters who showed guests to tables (at least 3) but could probably have used at least one additional server. We started with drinks and their complimentary bread, which was good. We split a salad, which was also enjoyed. It was definitely sufficient for 2. I got one of the more modest steaks they offered, and my wife had a fish dish. Both were good; portions for these were small enough to finish without leftovers. We split a chocolate mousse cake for dessert as well. The bill was in the $150 range, which is on the higher end for us. In all, I'd say it was worth it and reasonable, given the setting, meal quality, location, etc. We were there for about an hour and 20 minutes, just as a time reference. This is a worthwhile special occasion venue if you are close to Decatur.

Yelp
This steakhouse is delicious and in pretty sure it's local. They have a variety of fun mixed drinks, local beers and a variety of wines at different price ranges. We made a reservation through Resy and were seated promptly when we arrived five minutes early. Our server David was very friendly and attentive - the manager also made an appearance to check on our food and service. We ordered the crab cakes, the 32oz porterhouse with a lobster Oscar topping. Since it's big enough for two to share, and advertised as such, the dish also comes with two sides instead of one. Thus, we had the mashed potatoes and truffle Mac (for a $6 up charge). Everything was delicious and our steak was cooked perfectly to M temp. I checked in on the Yelp app and received a 50% off coupon for any appetizer or dessert. With this taken into account, our bill totaled $114 - which our table deemed reasonable given the service, ambiance, and food.

Yelp
Very nice restaurant. Nothing extraordinary. The drinks were so so, and my salad was super refreshing (cheap $13). I loved the mix of fall veggies because it isn't something I've had before, especially the butternut squash, and Yukon potatoes. This resturant is pretty dark inside, but it has a very picturesque, cute porch with string lights. Sit outside on a warmer night for those for sure.

Yelp
Celebrated my birthday here with family. Last minute reservation, large party....they accommodated with no issues! Food and service was good. Highly recommended, will definitely return!
